Visual Novel Translation Status (03/04/2018)
As for the title, since we have two eccentric VNs from Sekai at this week, I just combined both of 'Creature Romance' and 'Girl in Glasses' into 'Meganekko Romance' (TL Note: Meganekko literally mean Girls in Glasses). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and compared to the last week we didn't have many interesting release (Other than those two Sekai VN that I mentioned), but of course we still have some updates for this week like usual with some surprise. Now let's see what I could write for this week as well.
As for the surprise update, we finally have JAST ready for another VN release. Although unfortunately it wasn't Flowers Summer though, so I'm more or less just think not much about that ie not interested. The VN in question was Sweet Home, and from the record apparently it's already in process for years since when it picked up back at 2013 - at least it only took almost 5 years to be released lol. From the premise, we have MC who back to his house because his old apartment was burnt, only to find out that his house was became the girls boarding house. Long story short, the MC who is an university student managed to stay and his house and get steamy with the girls as well. Yeah this is nukige all right, and that's another reason of why I didn't interested with the release - JAST usual release pattern didn't help at all. At least they also already did have the exact date for the release, which is at May 1st later - also ready for pre order as well.
From Sekai, once again we have both Creature Romance and Girls in Glasses released. As for my comment at least the latter (Girls in Glasses) was more in line with normal VN, even though the girls were wearing the glasses (Duh). While for the former (Creature Romance), what I can say is that maybe it could be appealing for the people who somehow managed to develop a fetish to grasshopper, because our main heroine was looks like a grasshopper only that it's a human size as well - to each of their own I suppose. There's also another update from Sekai in which at least they managed to address the untranslated text problem from Tokeijikake, which at least it good that Sekai try to be responsible about their mistake. Apparently there's a bug that still persist in the new engine that caused the problem, so obviously I would suggest Sekai to do another QC before the release. Although apparently they ignore that bug though back when it was reported by their QC staff, so I don't know what to say. I just hope that they won't repeat that mistake in the future for both of Daybreak and Morning Mist.
As for Frontwing's Momoclo KS, right now they managed to gather 25,918 out of necessary 35,000 funds or in percentage it would be Momoclo was at 74% funded with 17 days left, so at least it goes well for now. For Newton VN, right now common route was at 89% translated and Haru's route was fully translated (Lavi's route was fully edited as well), and fir the next plan they'll work on Emmy's route. Other than both of Momoclo KS and Newton VN, we have Nekonyan announced the exact release date for Fureraba which is at 30th later and coincidentally it will be at Good Friday, so at least we can treat Fureraba release as the Easter gift from Nekonyan. There's also another surprise from NekoNyan, in which they'll also translated the fandisc as well and it'll be available at this year as well (They'll give it for free to anyone else who buy Fureraba from NekoNyan's site). For more information, other than NekoNyan's site Fureraba will also available at both of Nutaku and Fakku while unfortunately there's still no Steam release at the same time. The reason was because of Germany bureaucracy according to NekoNyan post (Understandable), and therefore Fureraba Steam release will be delayed for a few weeks.
For fan translation, right now Eustia was at 35.23% translation and 22.87% TLC-ed - they finally begin with Colette's arc work with the current progress for that arc was at 4.56% translated. For more roundup we have Loverable was at past three quarter (75.33%) TLC-ed, Musumaker was at 49.6% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 92% translated along with 19% edited, Pure Pure was at 63.19% translated with Chapter 4 was at 39.44% translated, Tsukiotoshi was at a quarter translated, and Witch Garden was at 39% translated. As for Tsujidou, right now Renna's route was at 72.1% translated and overall was at 93.57% translated - for the info Trip was quite busy for last two weeks, so the progress didn't increase much. Other than usual updates, there's another VN that have was translated recently (Also about to be release at around this month) and that VN is nukige pseudo NTR or something like that - I just realized the project today lol. We also have another update from LxC 2, in which Quof was mostly finished with Hime's route but unfortunately right now he need to do programming work for Hime's patch, so the translation for next route will be stalled. For the last update, we have surprise Nanatsuiro Drop partial patch release which translate the first two episodes of common route, which obviously is a very small part of the VN itself. Go get the patch at Doki Fansub, and for my personal comment I hope that they'll manage to fully translate Natsuiro later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review from mine, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/24/2018)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title since we have Sono Hanabira release with all casts from the past have the continuation with their story, I decided to just combined it with Precure All Stars DX movie (Coincidentally it's also the crossover anime for the first six Precure) with Sono Hanabira, and so we have 'Sono Hanabira All Stars DX' - as for the DX thing I think it's stand for Deluxe but maybe Toei knew it better lol. For this week, other than Sono Hanabira 11 we also have Sekai finally get slightly serious with the release both of Mhakna and Kanonana, also we have more progress than usual for this week so overall compared to the last week this time it's more interesting especially with two yuri VNs release (Kanonana and Sono Hanabira 11). Let's see what I can write for this week.
So apparently JAST did have opened a new branch called JAST Blue, which is focused on yaoi (BL) VN - it's pretty obvious from the 'Blue' word lol. Also they already have Sweet Pool as it's first license, and the Sweet Pool itself already had fully translated with less than halfway (43%) edited. In theory the announcement was quite redundant one, but according to news they'll using new translation so maybe it'll be not so redundant at all. That said, it's JAST though so we can't still tell when they'll finished with Sweet Pool, which is probably far away in the future if we look from their release pattern (Hardcopy release as well). As for me, good for them if they want to expand I guess but I rather have them focused on getting Muramasa or Sumaga translated if they want another Nitroplus VN, because more or less personally I didn't care about BL - I knew that this may be a good news for BL lover though.
For Newton VN, right now they have Haru's route was at 23% translated along with Lavi's route was at 40% edited. By the way, if you interested with playing otome at PSV (Not me) there'll be two otome release at this year - Black Butterfly at April 20th and 7'scarlet at May 18th, although keep in mind though it's just a leak from Amazon JP so it may be change in the future. Other than the leak of possible release date of two otome VNs, we also have Frontwing started the KS for Momoiro Closet (Momoclo) and I think the fund will probably used for developing physical edition looking from the goal (At 35,000), and as for the current situation right now it was at past halfway (18,958) funded. Now that we got the clearer picture of this VN, the premise from Momoclo was pretty interesting with both of MC and his female friend bonded over Sunday morning magical girl anime (Frill Lace or FL), and the girl want to cosplay as one of the FL heroine. I'd find that FL itself was more interesting compared to the actual VN, because they pretty blatantly parodied Kira Kira Precure (KKPC). Guess I'll see of what kind of story that Momoclo will offer at April 27th later.
For fan translation, first of all we have Eustia was at 34.57% translated along with 21.57% edited and 21.37% TLC-ed as of now. As for the rest of the updates, we have Musumaker was at 49.2% translated, Pure Pure Chapter 4 was at 35.21% translated and overall was at 62.64% translated, Witch Garden was at 38% translated, and finally Majokoi was fully TLC-ed - there's still no info when the QC will start, but if there'll be regular QC progress then I'll report it here as usual. As for Tsujidou, right now Renna's route was at 67.64% translated and overall was at 92.54% translated, and also apparently Trip was busy at this week and he will at the next week so the progress was slightly less than usual (Still good though).
I like that Sekai finally get serious in regard of the release, and other than releases I also like that they finally do the QA for Dracu Riot. As for the releases, both of their release was pretty sudden when I thought there'll be none from them at this week. One of the release was Kanonana in which it's premise was a girl from the magic club who live together with the ghost for seven days, and from there we'll gonna have many yuri relationship (Duh). For a bit history, it was created as free VN by 2chan so it's pretty much like Katawa Shoujo in term of development. As for more info, while I'd find this VN interesting unfortunately as of now it's still lacking in regard of the review so I couldn't tell whether it'll be a good VN or not, so I guess we better find out about Kanonana but trying it by ourself. The other release was Mhakna which is pretty much like FL earlier, only that it's from Fault universe. As for my opinion, while I appreciate them to make a VN based on fictional fairy tale actually I prefer Fault team to just focused on the main story and finished that. But then again it may be another good addition for Fault fan, so perhaps you may try Mhakna if you Fault fans.
Mangagamer
Finally Mangagamer did released Sono Hanabira (Sonohana) 11, and as of now it's one of big Sonohana VNs that also have previous five couple have some roles here, so in short we have what we could call once again as Sonohana all stars lol. As for the premise, it's pretty much the same as New Generation in which the school gonna have best couple vote, and in Sonohana 11 we'll have six couple instead of three like in New Generation. Of course by six couple I mean that there's a new couple for the 11th Sonohana, although for us it's not exactly new though because we already saw the couple (Risa x Miya) back in first officially localized Sonohana. This VN also have some unique history because back then I'd always reported the translation progress from Yuri Project, even after Mangagamer did announced that they have seven secret projects and this is the first scret project which revealed back at Otakon 2017. Well back then both projects did have some difference from the progress so I didn't think much lol. Oh well, at least this release should be good for Sonohana fan whose been waiting for this VN to be translated, and if that's the case then have fun.
Other than Sonohana 11, finally we have Mangagamer did their updates. For the updates, we have Sona-Nyl was at 33% translated, Maggot Bait was at 73% translated and 22% edited, Sengoku Rance was fully retranslated and edited (Already knew from Arunaru last weeks, but it's good that Mangagamer confirm it directly), Trinoline was at 82% translated and 41% edited, Fata Morgana fandisc was fully edited, Rance Quest was at 74% translated and 55% edited, and Hashihime was at 67% edited. There's also the confirmation that Evenicle was in testing, and I guess this time Mangagamer tested it to the beta tester in order to find out the bug seeing that Doddle already did some test on Evenicle, and hope fully it mean that it'll be released in near future. Speaking about testing, right now Marriage was also in testing so at least it could be interpreted that Marriage was also about to be released. And yes, there's many VNs that was in testing in Mangagamer so maybe it'll be hard for them to juggle the release time. For the last update, we have Mangagamer finally have exact release date for Sideboob which is at March 29th later, so it's the good news if you fan of Funbag Fantasy nukige series.
That's all for this week, and sorry for the belated review. See you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/18/2018)
Before starting this week VNTS Review, let me say that there's interesting development from Winged Cloud that they recently released Sakura Cupid which obviously one of my VNTS Review title here. In regard of that, I'll decided to just let it go and maybe buy some lotto lol. If anything, this show that any Sakura VN can be released as long as there's any adjective in the dictionary - just paste Sakura to any adjective and you'll have another new title for Winged Cloud VN. Speaking about Sakura naming scheme my VNTS Review for this week is also like that, because we have Sakura Cupid release once again and this week VNTS Review image header was the vampire from Dracu Riot, so we have 'Sakura Vampire' which I'm sure it'll be one of Winged Cloud ideas.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week while there's still no big release at least the updates for this week was more livelier compared to the last week, if only because we have slightly more updates. So at least it's good for now from what we have at this week, especially in regard of a certain updates for myself here. As usual, let's see what I can write for this week as well.
From Sekai, we have Dracu Riot which is finally have in programming and stated will have a QA soon. Personally I'd find that update is not quite interesting, but at least for anyone else who waiting for Sekai version of Dracu Riot it's getting there. Also for more info, Tenshin Ranman also did have same progress which is more interesting to me. While those two updates are good because it mean that the time of Yuzusoft VNs coming officially translated almost close, seeing that it's Sekai I'm not quite sure of whether I should trust them or not especially in regard of whether they'll able to release those quickly or not. For more update from Sekai, right now Fatal Twelve entering QA stage so at least they should still on track for March release, for now. Other than those updates, apparently Bokukotsu did have the status 'Stalled', so maybe they can't make the time for February release. Although in exchange of that, at least there's Tropical Liquor which could sort of work as the substitute because it have same illustrator (Sayori of Nekopara fame) lol, with the exact releast date for three language was already announced (It'll be at March 10th later). That's all for Sekai Project updates.
As for fan translation, we have Loverable was at 74.38% TLC-ed, Musumaker was at 48.4% translated, Pure Pure Chapter 4 was at 19.71% translated and overall was at 58.76% translated, Tenkiame common route was at halfway translated, and Majokoi was at 91% TLC-ed with Konron's route was progressed rapidly from 1% to 21% TLC-ed. Other than those usual updates, we have Tsujidou was reached 90% mark (90.98%) translated with Renna's route was at 60.89% translated - and as expected they'll going for April release (At 8th) because Trip's gonna busy at March end and next week, so they put April 8th as the safe bet although keep in mind that it might be change in the future. For the last update from fan translation, we have the update from Higurashi PS3 port with the progress right now is Tsukiotoshi arc was at 12% translated.
For Newton VN, right now the common route was at 89% translated and Haru's route was at 11% translated, while at the same time Lavi's route was at 17% edited. They also admitted that the editing going slow, but they have the reason for that namely the editor was focusing on edited Sakusakura so hopefully they'll be able to have March release. There's Fureraba which coincidentally have March release as well, with the progress was at 80% QC-ed and fully edited so at least they on track to have on time release (At March obviously). There's two Chinese VNs update as well, with Cryste was fully translated (80% edited) and Rice-hime was at 35% translated (25% (A quarter) edited).
I guess that's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for be very late here. See you next week, and happy belated Chinese New Year.
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/10/2018)
First of all sorry for very belated review here, and welcome to this week VNTS Review - I'll tell about the title in my PS. As for this week update, well anemic was one way to put it like admin Tay although perhaps we could call this a slow week. That said, we still get some update though so it's enough for now. Let's see what we get for this week.
We finally to have release date for Root Double PSV version at March 8th later, which mean that Sekai finally managed to fulfill one on their KS promise. It's quite a good news alright, only that apparently it's only for NA which mean unfortunately Europe still didn't get that yet, although Sekai promised that they'll look at the issue. Not that I care anyway, since I didn't own PSV lol. Other than Root Double PSV, we got Bokukotsu release estimation, in which they gonna release it at this month - it's rumored that it'll be released at Valentine day later, but for now it's still unconfirmed whether they'll release it at 14th or not. Other than those two, no other interesting info from Sekai.
This week back at Tuesday, Mangagamer did released Sono Hanabira 11 demo. As for the demo, apparently it's only for the engine testing so there's no much content to see. If anything, at least they already prepared the engine for the release at 22nd later. Oh, and since obviously there's already exact release date for Sono Hanabira 11, it mean that the fan translation project of this was halted and therefore there'll be no more progress from that project. While this week Mangagamer didn't have their usual updates, Arunaru tweeted some interesting thing that namely he managed to have Sengoku Rance was at 90% retranslated and he hope that by next week it should be finished.
Fo fan translation, there's still some updates like I said earlier. The roundup goes like Eustia was at 21.22% edited and 20.86% TLC-ed; Loverable was at 74.16% TLC-ed; Musumaker was at 48% translated; and Majokoi was at 85% TLC-ed, which is good because at least they're on track to finished TLC within one or two month. No update from Pure Pure at this week, because the translator said that he's quite busy at the school (The info was at Abyss Translation Facebook). As for Tsujidou, right now Renna's route was at almost halfway (49.05%) translated and overall was at 88.25% translated - no much to say I admit. There's also another two updates from both of Koiken Otome fandisc and Shin Koihime Musou, in which they have some progress. For more info, Koiken Otome fandisc was at 13% translated, and right now Shin Koihime Musou was at 91% translated along with 15% edited.
Before closing this VNTS Review, there's another update from Newton VN. As for the update, right now they managed to fully translated Lavi's route and fully edited Yotsuko's route. Other than that, there's no much info from them at this week.
Well, that's all for this week and I admit that this week review is pretty short. See you next week.
PS - For the title, seeing that we got a sleeping succubus in front of monitor and the sucubuss herself was from Bokukotsu (The full title is 'Boku to Koi Suru Ponkotsu Akuma', and the ponkotsu part from the title is mean 'affectionately useless'), I decided to just adapt Pulltop's Lovekami VN from 'Useless Goddess' to 'Useless Succubus'.
Visual Novel Translation Status (01/13/2018)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title since Sorcery Jokers was have almost has same flowchart system as Odin Sphere's flowchart in regard of listing the events that did happened at the same day - at least to me, I just parodying it into 'Joker Sphere' lol. I knew that 11eyes did the same thing as well, but what remind me first in regard of Sorcery Jokers was Odin Sphere, so there's that. Anyway, as for this week other than Sorcery Jokers release that I was interested since back at Otakon 2016, I like that we saw some Mangagamer VNs was either already in beta testing or finished the testing. This week there's also some usual good progress from fan translation, which is always good to see. On the other hand, there's too much project that was apparently stalled for some reason. Let's see what I could comment for this week as well.
Fan Translation
It's a shame though that AstralAir was included in one of the projects that got purged, because lack of the progress for almost two years. More so considering back at 2016 it goes pretty fast, which surely would make people expected a quick release. Although since we have Favorite partnering with Sekai, I guess it would be impossible to release it without official way I guess - which is confirmed by Chuee himself that he said that he'll release AstralAir officially. We still don't know the partner though, but the most possible partner for AstralAir would be Sekai for now because of aforementioned reason. It's also a shame as well since Irotoridori was purged as well because of the same reason, which make it that it have two failed translation projects. I hope that someday that someone would break the curse of Irotoridori.
Oh, and interesting (Or maybe funny) to see that Mahoyo was cursed as well so much three translation projects for that was failed. But seeing that it's apparently still the first part out of the trilogy according to Nasu and Fate Grand Order still was very successful - it's currently TYPE-MOON Cash Cow Franchise, I doubt that we'll see the finished trilogy soon and therefore I would say whatever. And that's not counting his promise in regard of Tsukihime remake, which we still don't know when it'll be finished. Also there's a matter that Herkz himself stated that the chance of Mahoyo release from him was at 0% or nil, so I think we could say that Herkz was already abandoned Mahoyo project - not that it matter to me once again, because the reason that Mahoyo still the first part of the trilogy.
Purged projects aside, there's some update from Eustia with current progress was at 31.9% translated along with 19.95% edited and 18.7% TLC-ed. We also have usual update from Loverable in which it was at almost fully translated (99.18% translated with Kaho's route was at 94.58% translated), 68.65% TLC-ed, and 28.7% edited. For more regular updates here we have Musumaker was at 46.6% translated (The number was screwed though because of image translation), Pure Pure Chapter 3 was passed 90% mark (91.30%) translated along with overall translation was at 52.92% translated, and Shin Koihime Musou was at 90% translated along with 13% edited. Oh, and finally we have Majokoi was fully translated (Congratulation for almost two years of hard work), along with 98% edited. It didn't mean that the project was already finished though because there's a lot to be fix by the team themselves, but at least it's getting there for now.
There's an update from our Quof as well in which turned out that he translated Sailor Moon doujin nukige thing and about to be released in a month or two - good if you want to see Sailor Soldier have sex I guess. More importantly he said that his work on LxC 2 was slowing, because he took more time on his 5th official project which obviously we don't know yet. He also announced that he changed the order of translation for LxC 2 to Hime's first (No change), then Wakoto's, Hinata's, and finally Seine's. Speaking about establishing order, we also have Tsurezure already decided the order to translated HatsuKoi append disc starting from Maya's, then Kyou's, and finally Yukino's. Also they already decided the first route to be translated in Hoshiori, although the detail is still the secret though but at least we knew that it'll take a good part of 2019 for the translation alone because it's very long VN (Tone Work's and all). For Tsujidou, they finally have their first update for 2018 and right now Renna's route was at 10.95% translated and overall was at 79.47% translated.
Mangagamer
As for Mangagamer, once again congratulation in regard of Sorcery Jokers release. The premise was more or less that we live in a world where magic is exist and there's a research in order to exploit it's power or something along the line. What we gonna have is that there would be five POV looking from the CG which is not same as having five MCs, because the POV of male was a lot compared to the female so basically we'll gonna have two MCs which is contrasting each other in regard of personality and backgrounds. I would say have fun in regard of this VN, and hope you'll enjoy that. Forget to say that if you buy Steam version, you could grab the 18+ patch for free.
Other than Sorcery Jokers release, we have Hashihime was past halfway (53%) edited, Trinoline was at 66% translated and 21% edited, Kuroinu Chapter 3 was fully edited, Rance Quest was at 64% translated and 47% edited, and Maggot Bait was at 69% edited (Suggestive number there) and it was already 9% edited as well. There's also three projects that was in testing by Mangagamer, and those three projects were Hapymaher, Sono Hanabira 11, and Sideboob - I wonder which one would finish the testing first. They also already finished with the testing for both of Supipara Peace Story and Damekoi, in which I guess that Mangagamer gonna release Supipara first because Damekoi was apparently still in scripting. That's all for Mangagamer.
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/30/2017)
Well it's about 2018 here and here it's last VNTS Review for 2017 here so welcome here, also sorry for being late once again. As for this week compared to last week this time we have some breather here, because compared to last week the official released VN was not much here other than sudden Rakuen 18+ which is the image header for VNTS this week. And speaking about Rakuen, the title was the very literal French translation of Rakuen insert song (CHOOSE THE WORLD), and we already knew that Frontwing like to use French in their Grisaia subtitle. Other than Grisaia, we have some usual progress from fan translation in which there's two partial release from them. Let's see what we have at 2017 end here.
Sekai Project
There's some delay from Sekai there, although seeing that I'd mostly didn't care much about those in the update I would think 'Yeah, okay. Whatever'. It's still nice though to see that 1st ReLord will entering the QA after New Year, even though seeing that both of Hoshimemo and Tokeijikake have some problem. I just hope that ReLord QA will go better compared to the QA in the past, and also in all of their work at the future in general as well. For more detail here, other than ReLord we have Love-Duction was at 20% translated and Bells Chime for Gold was stalled (No surprising here).
As for Rakuen 18+ have fun if you really want more Grisaia and already been waiting that for a while. To me it's just another Kajitsu fandisc though instead of the last part of trilogy, especially when we knew that Kajitsu itself was more than enough to be standalone foreshadowing aside. So to me Rakuen here was more or less like Ataraxia (All five route take place in one continuity), while Meikyuu there was like Sharin FD down to the flashback from the important character (In this case it's Yuuji who is Grisaia MC, while in Sharin it was Hozuki who was Sharin antagonist). That's not said the fandisc duology was bad though, if you're a hardcore fans of Grisaia and want to see more of the characters - instead it's more or less lie with my less interest in regard of fandisc. For the last note here, there's an infamous twist that was retconned in Rakuen, and from what I saw in the anime apparently they managed to include the twist without retconned that completely - I guess back at Rakuen VN writing the writer still struggling to write a cohesive story for the main part.
Fan Translation
As for this section, right now Eustia was at 31.27% translated and 18.9% edited, Majokoi was at 97.18% translated, Musumaker was at 45.2% translated, and Pure Pure was at almost halfway translated (49.60% translated, along with Chapter 3 was at 67.39% translated and Chapter 2 was at three quarter translated). For more update here, we also got Loverable was at 97.26% translated with Kaho's route was at 81.76% translated, also with 67.06% TLC-ed and 27.83% edited as well for overall script. There's Amagami in which it was finally fully translated after the long time translating there (Five years), and it was at a quarter (25.1%) edited as well - congratulation for finishing it after more than five years of work, and for the record the oldest post was from December 2012 with the progress was already at 8.24% translated at that time. For the most recent update here, we have Konosora Restoration project finally finished with their 1st QC, and after that they'll do some tweaking in order to fix a few issues before finally releasing it - which Pabloc said that they'll getting close~ish for that.
Right now there's a release the new version of Monster Girl Quest Paradox in Japan, so apparently the translator was about to combining some stuff from the older version or something like that although I wasn't pay attention too much to that in the first place. There's also two surprise partial patch release in which one of that was from a nukige that was called Hara Chuchu with the main fetish was pregnancy, not surprising since the team behind the translation was already get (in)famous for translated the VNs from the particular companies with pregnant sex there.
Another surprise release was Tsujidou in which they released Saeko's patch, and in turn make that as nice New Year gift from Tsurezure there. As for the progress, right now it was already at past three quarter mark (76.95%) translated with Saeko's route was obviously fully translated. Anyway, Saeko's route herself was very short and only cover 2.5% of overall VNs, which is still less than my expectation here (I expected at least 10% from overall of Tsujidou in regard of Saeko's route). As for the suggestion in regard if Tsujidou, if you interested with 'passionate Hitomi Nabatame-voiced love-making' (From Dark Mirage Yoake Review) then hope you'll enjoy Saeko's route because she was voiced by Nabatame.
That's all for this week and this year as well. Sorry for being late here again, and see you next year. Happy New Year 2018 to all reader there.
Visual Novel Translation Status (01/20/2018)
Seeing that we have Majokoi as the image header, this week I decided to just parodied Majikoi anime title and of course instead of 'Samurai' we have 'Witch' here. Anyway, welcome to this week VNTS Review in which this is quite lacking of the release, compared to the last week when we have Sorcery Jokers. Most of this week update were come from fan translation project, and there's also two updates from Chinese VN official translation in which I didn't watch it closely to be honest. Let's see what I could write for this week as well.
No much update from Sekai here, so I'm pretty much just write what I missed from last week. It's good for them that they realized that Tokeijikake have some problem, so they decided to make the patch to fix the problem - at the very least they should fix the untranslated text. They also have Kanonana as the release in near future, although they still don't know when because they're waiting for the third party. For the good news from them, they already planned to released Fatal Twelve here at 31st later. No much comment in regard of this for now, other than the graphic was quite good and it's nice that we have Japanese voice.
As for Chinese VNs, to be honest I'm not interested. But anyway, from now on I'll try to track them as well. For the progress, the first one (Crysthe) was at 53% translated and halfway edited, while the second one (Rice-hime) was at 30% translated and 20% edited. Other than those two Chinese VNs, we also have update from Newton VNs project in which they'll gonna have weekly update report - and somehow I missed the first week of that from the last VNTS lol. Anyway, for the 2nd week right now the progress was the common route was at 76% translated and 30% edited, while Yotsuko's route was at three quarter (75%) translated. I'll obviously gonna report the progress of Newton VN from now on. Oh, and Cherry Kiss will launch KS for their tsundere masochist idol nukige VN at 22nd later, so if you want to back the project go ahead.
Fan Translation
Too bad though in regard of Ushieta apparently the project was dead, because there's no word from both of translator and the project leader for a year. Hope that someone would pick up the project in the future, and if possible finishing it. Speaking about pick the project, Eustia was already going the same fate in the past in which it was abandoned by Takajun, and then picked up by the current translator and still ongoing (Eustia's progress was at 32.39% translated, 19.99% edited, and 19.98% TLC-ed). We also have Musumaker was at 47% translated, which is good enough considering that some of the translators were got sick. There's Pure Pure as well in which they finished the translation of Chapter 3, and for overall progress it was at 54.34% translated. Right now we also have Koiken Otome fandisc update as well, in which it was 11% translated. As for Tsujidou, right now Renna's route was at 21.99% translated and for overall of Tsujidou it was at 81.99% translated. They also said that there's a change of plan namely that they wouldn't work on Virgin Road, because turned out that Trip didn't like Tsujidou enough (Oh well). Oh, and for Chaos Child port to PC it's still ongoing according to Committee of Zero tweet, so at least there's still some activity for now.
In regard of Loverable, right now it was almost finished - although in regard of release it's still not going in near future though because there's a lot of QC and editing work waiting to be worked. Oh, and the progress for Loverable was at 99.71% for overall while Kaho's route was at 86.95% translated, 71.02% TLC-ed, and 29.24% edited. For Majokoi, congratulation for finally finished the editing process, although knowing that there's still some TLC work left (73% TLC-ed right now) it would be a while as well before finally released. Fred himself estimated that there'll be work on the image editing and TLC for between a month or two, and after that there will be QC which would take between a month or two as well. So maybe for now I could expect that by June Majokoi should be out, if everything goes well that is. I'll be looking forward to the release, considering that this is would be first Nijima Yuu's work to be translated.
I think that's all that I could write for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/16/2017)
Because we have Miagete as the big release for this week by MoeNovel and unfortunately they still didn't learn much after their blunder in Konosora in regard of H scenes, I decided to just changed the 'Wings' part from Konosora English title (If My Heart Had Wings), so we had 'If My Heart Had Stars' which could be still fitting for Miagete English title there lol. Welcome to my VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. As for this week, other than Miagete release we finally see Mangagamer batch of updates in which I'd waiting for a month here, and of course we still see some usual updates from fan translation. Let's see what I could write for this week as well.
After I doubted that Sekai will be released Tokeijikake this year, finally they gave the answer that yes they can release that at this year. For the release date, it's very near in which it was quite surprising because they'll release that at... 18th tomorrow in which it's the same date as Hoshimemo all age release. Apparently they'll also have the 18+ release at the same time as well, so it should be good as well if one want 18+ of Tokeijikake in the first place. I'm quite looking forward for the release here, and here's hoping that Sekai will release both of Daybreak and Morning Mist (2nd and 3rd parts of Tokeijikake respectively) quickly.
This week unfortunately we didn't have translation progress from Eustia, but at least there's both of editing and TLC progress, in which it was at 17.46% edited and 18.01% TLC-ed as of now. For Loverable, right now it was at 96.8% translated with Kaho's route was at 78.68% translated, along with 65.7% TLC-ed and 27.67% edited. We still see Musumaker stable progress here in which it was at 44.8% translated right now, and we have Witch Garden update as well which right now was at 36% translated. As for Pure Pure, right now Chapter 3 was at 58.70% translated and overall was at 48.34% translated - keep in mind that it's still rough translation though. Speaking about Pure Pure translation team, they gave the word in regard of Tayutama 2 drama which could be summarized as 'The editor didn't involved in Tayutama 2 anymore, and we hope the best for Tayutama 2'. As for Tsujidou, right now Maki's route was almost finished with 95.14% translated and overall was already at almost three quarter (73.26%) translated - seeing that progress it should be obvious there's almost certainty that Maki's route will be finished by next week. That's all for fan translation this week.
We finally have Mangagamer updates here in which I've been waiting for a month here, so let's see what they have here after one month of absence. For the updates we got Hashihime was at 43% edited, Fata Morgana fandisc was at 58% edited, Sona Nyl was at 24% translated - at least it looks stable here although it'll took one more year to be released though if the progress was like this, Rance Quest was past halfway (55%) translated and one third (33%) edited, Sengoku was at 70% retranslated and 35% edited, Maggot Bait was at 65% translated and 5% edited, Trinoline was at 60% translated and 11% edited, Kuroinu Final Chapter (ie Chapter 3) was at 91% edited - quite a big jump there, Bitter Exclusion was both fully translated and edited, and finally they had Hapymaher fully edited - what's left for Hapymaher is that they waited until Purple Software tweak their engine and after the engine ready they'll test it for the English build (Hopefully in near future the engine will ready). As for the last news here, while this is not in their updates actually Mangagamer was already do the testing for Sono Hanabira 11 so at least it should be reasy for the release in near future. That's all for Mangagamer.
Other
Let's just said that while this section indeed have big releases, those release were just have many questionable thing in regard of that. Anyway, other than releases we have Phantom Trigger Volume 4 KS which somehow I missed that, and they're already finished it successful because they managed to gather almost 50,000 while the goal was only 30,000. I would say whatever in regard of Phantom Trigger, but we have the good news in that we finally have Island anime website, and they'll have the promotional video for that at 29th later. While it sounds like I'm hyping the anime here, the fact that Frontwing promised us that they'll coordinated the Island VN release along with the anime so hopefully it mean that the release time for Island is near.
We finally have Dies Irae 18+ patch which surprisingly was very quick, but unfortunately it's not what we expected here. What we get here is that they'd released Acta Est Fabula version, while normally we expected that we gonna have H scenes was added to the version that we had right now (Amantes Amentes, I'll shorten it as Amantes). Quite unfortunate since Light was already make the effort for Acta Est Fabula release by make it possible to play it at 16:9 screen, in which it should be possible to just add the H scenes at Amantes instead. While it's possible that Light might be have a hard time to add H scenes in Amantes because of the engine, it's not like it was impossible if they work it more because we have something like that in the past - see Eien no Aselia Special Edition that added 18+ for PS2 port, that was released unfortunately after the effort for translating Aselia was finished. Well whatever, and at least their all ages release (Dies Irae) was justified if only they already released it at the console and add the side stories that was adapted from the light novel, compared to what Pulltop did.
As for Miagete, okay I admit that it was a big release with good graphic and well known eroge seiyuu. From what Decay said earlier, apparently MoeNovel (Or Pulltop to a certain extend) was already improved in regard of the translation and they didn't cut the dirty joke, which compared to Konosora it should be a big improvement all right. But unfortunately they still did cut the H scenes because they released that at Steam. While it's justified because it was at Steam, what baffling us is that they still stubborn for not released that 18+ version which is what we want here. To make it worse it's actually possible that if they just leave it to their old partners, either Mangagamer (For the stores of their English release) or JAST (They work together back at 2008 in regard of Princess Waltz) in regard of the publishing 18+ version. But instead what Pulltop done is that they decided to do it by themselves (Not wrong though) through MoeNovel. So what I could say is that, while granted MoeNovel was the one who executed the infamy action in regard both of Konosora and Miagete, Pulltop also have blame to share because it would impossible to have the 18+ cut without their agreement or policy. In the end, it's both parties fault (MoeNovel and Pulltop) that we got butchered release of Miagete here (ie without H scenes). Whatever.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (10/28/2017)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. As for the title, it was obviously meant to parodying the old Rance RPG 'Kichikuou Rance' only that instead of Rance I using Chihaya, because the default name for Eiyuu Senki's MC was Chihaya. Another reason for parodying Rance VN here would be to allude that one of Eiyuu Senki writer was also the writer of Kichikuou Rance (Also Rance series up to VI) who was well known as TORI, and there's similarities in term both of the story and the gameplay - except the battle in which it was quite different from Kichikuou. By the way, I knew that Kichikuou was mean brutal king and Chihaya was not very brutal - very nice even, but still I want to parodied Kichikuou Rance here lol. Anyway, in this week I like one paticular updat from Mangagamer here (Hapymaher), but other than that it's still usual week here for some parts.
I think some of you should figure out of why I did talk about Eiyuu Senki here, but in this case you want to be more clear the reason was because JAST managed to release it in few days ago at 24th and they will release Steam version at November 10th later. As for my comment, assuming that both release would had same content as the previous version I would say that this is very redundant releases considering that we already had this released in the past, in which the translation was ripped from PS3 version and it was ported to PC version. The only thing that I think different was this time JAST uncensor the H scenes, in which it was not important enough imo. Anyway at least now there's legal version of Eiyuu Senki for PC there, so if you want to purchase that's good for you then. Other than that, there's no news from JAST which is just another usual week for them lol.
For more Eiyuu Senki here, there's Surferdude of VNDB which released the H patch for GOLD which translated 37 of 67 H scenes. As for my opinion here, I found this is more interesting news compared to Eiyuu Senki release by JAST there, and it might be good because it mean that Surferdude was already trying to work on GOLD narration translation - I want to see GOLD fully translated because it got many gameplay improvement compared to the one that JAST released here. Hope the best for Surferdude there, and good luck to him.
For the rest of fan translation - I did count GOLD translation as the part of fan translation section here, we had Eustia was at 23.47% translated along with 15.53% edited and 15.51% QC-ed, Loverable was at 93.23% translated with Kaho's route was past halfway (54.87%) translated along with 61.14% TLC-ed and past a quarter (25.61%) edited, Pure Pure was at 42.02% translated for overall VN and Chapter 3 was at 15.22% translated, Musumaker was at 42.4% translated, Tsukiyori was at 21.6% translated and 11% edited, and Witch Garden was at 34% translated. Not much to say for the updates here other than good job for Loverable in regard of Kaho's route progress, and nice to see that finally we had an update after two weeks absence in regard of Tsukiyori. As for Tsujidou, right now Maki's route was at 39.89% translated and overall was at almost 59.51% translated. That's all for fan translation here.
From Sekai there's Tokeijikake in which they're almost ready for the release of the first part, and they estimated that it would be at November. Other than that, we also had Daybreak (2nd part) here finally showing the progress again and right now it was at 87% translated. Also we finally see Morning Mist (3rd part) translation progress, in which it was at halfway translated. There would be more news for the latter two at next year, and they said that the engine problem was more or less was mostly fixed because the engine for the first part was the same one for both of Daybreak and Morning Mist (Duh). Oh, and if Sekai say the they can't wait for us to play the first part here, then I would say that I can't wait to be able to see the release of Morning Mist later. That's all for Sekai here.
Winged Cloud was managed to release Sakura Halloween, and according to the LP that I watched it was very short VN. Not interesting to me here, but at least Winged Cloud still had some idea for their Sakura VN I guess. For Phantom Trigger here, we finally had the exact release date and it would be at next year (January 26th). No much comment other than if you want to see more Sakurako, then you would be better to wait until that date.
I like that Mangagamer give the good update for this week, and it was in regard of Hapymaher in which it was finally fully translated and right now it was at 94% edited as well. For now I just hope that Mangagamer would release it quickly after they do some job to Hapymaher, but seeing that they had some VNs that was queued to be released I understand that it would hard to do. Speaking about release, right now they released Naked Butler and they will release Kuroinu Chapter 2 at November 17th later (Same date with Chiru), but seeing that I had less interest with those two I'll just pass those for now.
Other than Hapymaher being fully translated, we had Trinoline was at halfway translated, Sengoku Rance was at 43% retranslated, Rance Quest was at 28% translated, Sona-Nyl was at 15% translated - only around 14 months left if they keep the progress at 3% for each update, Hashihime was at 36% edited, Fata Morgana fandisc was at 97% translated - almost completed, and Sideboob was at 89% edited. Mangagamer was also had a surprise in which they'll had two more announcement in the convention at November later, but seeing that they only had two announcements and this is almost year's end, maybe I'll just expect that they'll announce two nukige VNs later for now.
That's all that I can write for now, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/09/2017)
Since we had image header from Newton VN, I decided to just combined the Royal Society that was exist in Newton VN (And of course in the real life as well) with an announcement from Mangagamer in regard of Sorcery Joker, so we have Royal Sorcery Flush for the title in which it's very obvious was the parody of Royal Straight Flush only that I changed 'Straight' with 'Sorcery'. The reason for the poker term was because I remember that Joker was one of the playing card, and from there I decided to using the poker term. Enough about this week title from mine here, and welcome to this week VNTS Review in which we finally had the usual time for the publishing here. As for this week, I agree with Decay that the update was lacking but at least it's still interesting compared to the last week now that we had two demo releases and one big release announcement from Mangagamer. Let's see what we had for this week like usual.
No update from Sekai which is pretty much par for the course with them, and no exact release date announcement like Mangagamer - granted that they already announced Hoshimemo release at 18th later, but to tell the truth I prefer Tokeijikake in which Sekai did change the release estimation to December which is only 21 days left. I'm not going to surprise if they managed to delay the release again to January, or even February 28th later for their anniversary of Chrono Clock release XD, but if they managed to release it at this month then I'll be very pleased there. Other than my comment on Tokeijikake here, no much comment in regard of Sekai.
No much from fan translation this week other than usual updates here. As for the updates, Eustia was at 29.73% translated, Loverable was at 95.94% translated with Kaho's route was at 72.95% translated (Also at 65.37% TLC-ed and 27.26% edited as well), Musumaker was at 44.4% translated and Shin Koihime Musou was at 11% translated. For Tsujidou, right now Maki's route was at 86.78% translated and overall was at 71.18% - they'd also said that hopefully by this year they'll managed to release Maki's patch, so perhaps this will be a nice New Year prize from Tsurezure (Maki's patch). Oh, and we also have another project established with the goal to port another PS3 original arc of Higurashi (Kageboshi), and right now the translation for that arc was already finished along with 20% edited. Not interested with additional story of Higurashi for now, although once again this should be a good addition for Higurashi hardcore fans out there. That's all for fan translation.
This week we have many updates from Other section here, especially in regard of demo releases. Other than demo releases, there's two updates from Chinese VN translation project and Miagete exact release date. I'm not interested with Chinese VNs in the first place so whatever, and for Miagete seeing that we still didn't had a word from Pulltop in regard of 18+ content obviously we will get the censored version of that. Seeing that Pulltop was so intent to keep the H scenes not accessible for the foreign readers, perhaps this time their demographic target was five years old girls XD (I knew that the Steam rating for Miagete was 17+ okay). As for the release date it will be at 15th later, so if you still want to get Miagete after knowing that the H scenes was censored please note the date there. Almost forget that Frontwing did announced the release date for their Momoiro Closet as well, and it'll be at April 27th later.
As for the demo releases, this time both of Sol Press and Fruitbat were released the demos for both of their respective VNs (Newton VN and Seabed). My comment for the demo is that I think both of the translation was quite understandable, and it's quite good to me at least. Then again, perhaps some other people might find that not quite good if we talk about the translation. To each of their own in regard of that I suppose. For the last words here, what I could comment in regard of the demo is that Newton VN was looks like standard charage with time travelling story seeing that in the demo we saw the MC getting along with the girls while tried to solving their time travel problem, and Sebed was like we have some good slice of live yuri VN in which the couple were going on travel overseas before face the separation. I'll be looking forward in regard of full release for those two VNs.
We have Mangagamer released Umineko fighting game and they'll gonna to have worldwide tournament to celebrate the release, but unfortunately I'm not quite good in fighting game like I said before so I'll just pass this news. Other than that release, Mangagamer did have a good news in regard of Sorcery Joker which will be released in near future along with the exact release date. As for the release date, it will be at January 12th later so I reckon that this is gonna be a good New Year prize from Mangagamer there. For my personal opinion here, I'll be looking forward to Sorcery Joker release here because I'd heard some good in regard of this, and also the score at VNDB was quite good (At 8.50 average score as of now).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/03/2017)
As for the title, it was based on the 'Mendan' part from Sansha Mendan which translated as 'interview', and the Alice Bedford part was because we had Newton VN Kickstarter (KS) with her as the main heroine - the blonde girl who resembled Michiru from Grisaia with the green eyes and the one who had Isaac Newton name in that VN. By the way, I knew that the VNTS image was from Eustia but even so I decided to keep the title that I made here. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for this week we had two releases in which both of those release were nukige (One of those was aftermentioned Sansha Mendan). Oh, and we also had Newton VN KS with the goal was higher than Sakusakura. Other than those notable updates, it's mostly usual one and let's see what I could write for this week as well.
No surprise that Sekai did delayed Tokeijikake there, but at least they already prepared the Steam store page for that so it wasn't as bad like when Sekai delayed Saku Saku release twice without Steam store. That said, apparently they waiting for the third party which from the KS update was apparently they tried to fulfill the requirement for all release that were set by license holder, and one all of those requirements were finished they'l announced the exact release date. In the end, I think it would be better to just waiting for now seeing that apparently there's still some work for Tokeijikake release, and perhaps better expect early 2018 release.
Fan Translation
We still had update from Eustia, and right now it was at 28.02% translated (The edited and QC-ed lines count stay the same) - not much I admitted there (Probably real life matter) but at least it's still going. For Loverable, not much translated lines update with the current progress was at 95.12% translated with Kaho's route was at 67.46% translated, with some progress from the editing and TLC part in which it was at 27.29% and 64.43% respectively. Musumaker was still stable with 44% translated as of now, while Venus Blood Chimera was at 90% translated, and Shin Koihime Musou was at 10% edited. From Pure Pure, right now they managed to translated more than halfway for Chapter 3 with the progress was at 52.17% translated while for overall it was at 47.39% translated, and keep in mind that Pure Pure translation as of now was still rough. There's some sort of Konosora restoration progres as well, and looks like both of common routes and Ageha's route was passed the 1st QC, which mean it still a long time to be finished. For Tsujidou, right now Maki's route was at 78.47% translated and overall was at 69.11% translated - at least there's no regress considering that many thing happened in regard of Tsujidou translation if I may say something.
As for Sansha Mendan, well congratulation for the release there Quof. In regard of that, to be honest I didn't interested with that but a release is a release so I should write what I know. As for the VN itself, apparently our MC was pretty manipulative so that he tried to train some of older girl ie teachers to be his slaves (Obviously sex slaves) because he didn't like the girls at his age - or to be exact he treated girls at his age as kids. Not much I could say in regard of that, other than have fun if you interested and want to play Sansha Mendan there. Oh, and I would like to knew how much progress that Quof had in regard of LxC2.
Other
Other than Sansha Mendan we also had nukige (Tenioha) which is a surprise release at Nutaku. From what I saw, looks like it gather some controversy in regard of censorship and people probably wondering about that as well, because they remembered that Nutaku made a promise to didn't do any more censorship now that they became online store for 18+ VN (And 18+ game as well). What I want to say is that Nutaku was apparently was quite infamous because of heavy censorship, and people was quite wary of their releases in the past. I admit that I didn't knew much about Nutaku here, so I'll leave it at that. What I knew is that the censorship was apparently in regard of virgin blood and the trap route, which is quite understandable at least because people mostly won't care about virgin blood in the first place (Or maybe find that disgusting) and the trap route was certainly out there when we had a nukige that was supposed to show all of straight couple. What I want to say is that while I agree that censorship was not good, most people out there would be felt disturbing to see a gay route as one of the option and there's sex scenes for that. In the end, I didn't care much about Tenioha though and have fun to play if you already had Tenioha.
For the last news here, we had Sol Press announced Newton VN KS and the goal was at 31,200 which is higher than Sakusakura (At 24,000). From the first look, I think it would be quite a struggle seeing that back at both of Sakusakura and Chuusotsu I saw the number was going up slowly even though the goals were lower than Newton VN, so good luck to Sol Press there. Or so that's what I would say if the gathered fund was not at 36,887 as of now, which mean that the KS was successed almost instantly so much that it was surprised Sol Press. Congratulation in regard of successful KS to Sol Press there, and hopefully we could see the good result from Newton VN there in regard of translation from the demo considering that they did the partnership with Mikandi, which back at Libra made wrong decision that cause some infamy in regard of the translation - I hope that Mikandi didn't repeat their mistake in regard of translator. Oh, and the plan was that the VN will be released at May 2018 later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/19/2017)
This week we had Kuroinu Chapter 2 release along with the announcement in regard of Newton to Ringo no Ki (I'll call it Newton VN), and because of that I make the title as a derivative version of Detective Conan movie here which had some callback to London (The Phantom of Baker Street) in regard of the real Isaac Newton who lived in London. As for the 'Black Hound' part, it was a direct translation from Kuroinu and I felt that hound was more fitting than dog which Mangagamer translated 'inu' as, because from what I understand in the VN Kuroinu itself was the Red Baron for the MC who was quite infamous for hunting the woman. Oh, and speaking about London which located in England there's a famous novel from there which titled 'The Hounds of the Baskerville', which is part of Conan Doyle work who depict one of the great detective Sherlock Holmes adventure. Anyway, welcome to this week VNTS Review in which we had many update from official localization company which should be good if you want more officially localized VN, although admittedly there's one infamous company that was mixed along with. Let's see what we had for this week.
As for fan translation, it's still mostly just usual update here and so I'll just write it up here like usual. For Eustia, right now it was at 26.63% translated along with 16.35% edited and 16.33% TLC-ed. As for Loverable, it was at 94.2% translated (Kaho's route was at 61.39% translated), 63.78% TLC-ed, 26.45% edited, and 18.29% QC-ed. Looks like there would be no progress for Pure Pure this week because apparently the translator was quite busy in real life, although we still got usual update from Musumaker here in which it was at 43.4% translated right now. There's Venus Blood Chimera as well which right now was at 86% translated and the translator was released another patch as well. We finally had some Majokoi update here, and right now it was at 93.2% translated and edited. As for Tsukiyori, right now it was at 23.2% translated. For the last progress, Tsujidou progress was indeed (Sorry) slowed down because of Trip sickness which mean that the progress was not as good as last weeks, but at least it had the upside in which it could allow Urrim to catch up in regard of editing - the progress was Maki's route was at 65.80% translated and overall was at 65.96% translated. That's all for fan translation.
Sekai Project
Finally we could saw Sekai new tracker, and you could visit that tracker here. As for the updates from the tracker, we had both of Kanonana and Girl in Glasses was already in QA along with first Tokeijikake - there's also Maitetsu which is already in QA as well but apparently they need to wait the third party in regard of some policy difference (Probably), Nanairo Reincarnation was already at 80% translated, Bokukotsu was already finished the translation and waiting for engine work, and finally we had Daybreak was finished with the translation as well. They also had licensing request section, in which two of the candidate title were Hello Lady and Amatsutsumi. There would be voting in regard of that, so we couldn't be so sure whether Sekai will manage to negotiate and localized the title or not in the future for now.
As for this week release, we had Sekai released the Nekonin 2nd side story for Saiha who is as we knew a ninja who wearing a mismatch modern military uniform, and with 18+ content as well. Sekai also did announced one planned release, in which they'll gonna released Hoshimemo for Steam at December 18th later and they already set the Steam store for that purpose. In regard of 18+ patch for Hoshimemo, I guess they'll gonna have a word in regard of that later but seeing that usually it was released along with Steam version as well perhaps Hoshimemo could be had 18+ version released along with Steam version as well. I still think it's pretty redundant release, but then again maybe some people want to see new translation for Hoshimemo so there's that.

We finally had an announcement from MoeNovel in regard of their secret project, and 'surprisingly' it's Miagete. Okay, most people were already predict it since back when MoeNovel said that they'll gonna release a VN with astronomy title, but still it would be very surprising because it's MoeNovel (And to certain extent Pulltop) that we're talking about. The reason was because we knew that Pulltop did their blunder to localized Konosora by cutting all of H Scenes and also rewriting a route as the result of that as well, and of course naturally the fans were outraged by that action. What's quite baffling was apparently Pulltop was so afraid by allowing 18+ version to go to overseas, although perhaps it could be understandable with Rapelay scandal which apparently traumatized Japanese developer in regard of allowing eroge overseas. But still with many VN localization company nowadays like Mangagamer or Sekai, it sort of questionable if Pulltop still afraid of that and instead preferring to do that by themselves and do their questionable policy. Hope that someday Pulltop higher up realize that they should learn from both of Sekai and Mangagamer in regard of 18+ version distribution. Oh, as for the release MoeNovel said that they'll release it at December later and for the premise it's almost the same as Hoshimemo in regard of viewing star (Quite a coincidence).
For good news here, we had Sol Press decided to try another KS to localized the VN and the VN in question was after mentioned Newton to Ringo no Ki or as localized Newton and Apple Tree. As for the VN itself, we had Newton who of course was depicted as a girl and with the new name as well (Alice Bedford) instead of the old man because this is an eroge. For more info, this VN was also involved time travel as well since the MC himself was came from the future because he was messed up with some sort of the time machine, and in turn messed up with the apple tree which supposed to be the inspiration for the gravitation theory. From there, the MC himself must fixed his mistake and hopefully managed to guide Newton (ie Alice) to discover gravitation theory. As for my impression of the VN, the opening was remind me of Sharnoth because of the accordion and quite ironic at that because Liar Soft would be more fitting to make this VN with alternative Isaac Newton because they already had alternative England at Sharnoth as well. Also the Newton herself was mostly resembled Michiru from Grisaia franchise. As for the KS, they'll start it at December 1st later and for now I would say good luck to their Kickstarter.
Oh, for one more good news we had Seabed release was changed at earlier date from December 26th to December 19th, which is good if you want to get Seabed as soon as possible. Although I wonder though if the reason for that change was in regard of South East Asia big tsunami anniversary or not, but perhaps it is.
Mangagamer
As expected, Mangagamer did had batch of updates this week. For the roundup here we had Hapymaher was at 96% edited, Trinoline was at 53% translated and 5% edited, Sengoku Rance was past halfway (51%) retranslated and 20% edited, Sideboob was fully edited, Sona Nyl was at 18% translated, Rance Quest was at 35% translated and 26% edited, Fata Morgana fandisc was fully translated, and Maggot Bait was at 63% translated along with 1% edited. There's also another VN that entering the testing, and it's Damekoi which mean it should be almost ready for the release so perhaps we could see it released at 2018 beginning. Speaking about release planning, finally we had release date for Imopara 2 which is at December 22nd later - although to be honest I prefer that Mangagamer release Evenicle at that date instead of Imopara 2. Oh well.
As for the announcements, turn out that my guess was right that they announced two nukige VNs so it's not quite interesting. Although to be fair, the convention where Mangagamer announced those was the small one, and the year was almost end. For the VNs, the title was Sweet Switch and Bitter Exclusion which surprisingly(?) almost finished the translation, with the former was already in testing (Fully translated and edited) while the latter was already fully translated and 44% edited. Not quite interested with the announcements, but it could be interesting for some people though. Speaking about nukige here, we had Kuroinu Chapter 2 which released back at 17th in which the titular character was doing the hunting like back at Chapter 1 and in this case of Chapter 2 we had another 3 of his prey (ie women). Yeah, the MC was a rapist who like to rape and corrupt the woman alright. Oh and we also had already Chapter 3 was at 39% edited, so you might as well waiting for the 3rd part if you want to play Kuroinu fully.
For last news we had Chiru released at the same date as Kuroinu Chapter 2 (Back at 17th as well), and we also gonna have Golden Fantasy release at December 8th later. As for my comment, Chiru release was quite redundant even with capability to change the graphic easily and adding the voice, because there's already Chiru with that addition since back at 2013. Not to mention that the ending was already well known for Umineko hardcore fan, so yeah in a way Chiru was redundant release although it should good for Steam user though for they finally could enjoy Chiru legally. As for Golden Fantasia, good if you want to punch your hated Umineko character I think, although I'd heard that apparently there would be some interesting ending so perhaps it would be worth getting a shot if you like fighting game.
I think that's all for this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/26/2017)
After we saw many updates from last week, there's no much update from this week so to tell the truth it's kind of plain here. But of course we still had weekly VNTS there, so here goes and sorry for my belated VNTS Review. As for the title here, it's pretty simple because I just make a derivative title from Kemono Friend anime which recently gather some controversy in regard of questionable move from Kadokawa by fired the director of anime adaptation, and seeing that we had four girls with animal ears from Wild Romance VN (Kemono mean beast for TL Note) I thought that the word harem would be sufficient. So we had 'Kemono Harem' for the title here. Once again this week was quite plain, and let's see what I could write for this week here.
From Sekai here we had both of Rakuen 18+ version and 2236 was already at QA, Tenshin Ranman was waiting for the third party, and they're gonna had Tokeijikake released for the backer at November in which I already sense that they're gonna delay the release for general public to around December later seeing that we only had three days left for November. Other than those four, there's no other update but at least it was indirectly confirmed that Tenshin Ranman was already finished(?) for the translation, seeing that the status was 'Waiting for the third party' which I assumed was Yuzusoft for the final negotiation and apparently Dracu Riot will follow that as well. That's all for Sekai this week.
Right now we had Eustia was at 27.97% translated along with 16.85% edited and 16.84% TLC-ed, while we had Loverable was at 95.11% translated - Kaho's route was at 67.46% translated along with overall script was at 64.42% TLC-ed, 26.92% edited, and 18.83% QC-ed. We also had Musumaker get another usual update, in which it was at 43.7% translated. There's another one from Majikoi A-3 in which Lee's route was fully translated, although I did less care about that though. Speaking about Majikoi, there's Tsujidou as well in which Maki's route was at 76.42% translated and for overall was at 68.6% translated - pretty good progress considering that few days ago Trip just rant that he hate Maki's route. That's all in regard of fan translation for now.
Other
This week we also had Tayutama 2 released the demo and apparently they're gonna release the full version at December later, and apparently there's some wary in regard of that. Namely that the translation for the demo itself was quite bad, or so that's what Decay said at VNTS. My concern is however not in regard of the translation - although maybe there's some people who concerned to that as well, but rather the order of the release in which we saw the sequel translated first. While granted that there's some case which only sequel was translated (Persona 2 back at 2000), I think it would be better if we allowed to see the prequel translated as well considering that it's one of many requested translation from what I saw. Oh, and apparently the demo release wasn't approved by the editor so I guess that's kind of questionable decision. In the end, seeing that the publisher (Hikari Fields) did a questionable act in regard of responding the critic at their Twitter, I guess it would be better to just move on and ignore them.
In regard of Newton VN, we had more news in regard of the upcoming Kickstarter that namely Sol Press managed to recruiting Mikandi to do the Kickstarter. While this might be a questionable decision in regard of partnering with Mikandi because we knew that the infamy of Libra translation in which majority said that it was a bad translation, I still hoping that the Kickstarter for Newton VN would be successful. That said, I'd heard that apparently Sol Press managed to recruit some competent translators and Mikandi only helping for the Kickstarter, so hopefully the translation is not as bad as Libra. Oh, and you might as well check Libra kickstarter update for more info in regard of partnership.
For last update we had Wild Romance rereleased at Steam along with 18+ content available, which as we knew was not available because it was ripped for the first release in order to adapt Steam policy which is not allowing any explicit sexual content. About that matter, as we knew Steam was also added another policy in which they didn't allow 18+ patch to be distributed at Steam. Although of course like we knew it didn't stop the new publisher to distribute 18+ patch outside of Steam, which to say was quite interesting move from them. Here's the Steam store page if you want to buy the Steam version (Also Nutaku page if you want to buy 18+ version directly), and have fun for playing Wild Romance there if you interested with that.
That's all for this week, and sorry for being late with this week VNTS Review. See you next week.
PS - There's an update from Tsukiyori, and as promised I'll add it in PS here. Right now it was at 24.1% translated, and that's all for this week update in regard of Tsukiyori.
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/11/2017)
Yeah I knew it's very corny one for the title, and it sounds like the description of an anime with many girl inexplicably fall in love with the MC whose name is Leon. As for the real reason, it was because we had two girls from KARAKARA as the image header and the girls themselves were fall in love with KARAKARA MC whose name was Leon. Anyway, welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for be late here again. As for this week, like Decay said there's nothing much that I could say in regard of that, although KARAKARA's one of new heroines full name was interesting though in which it was Rebecca Valentine - coincidentally I did make a VNTS Review with that title back at February, so I think it's interesting that the developer saw my VNTS Review and decided the full name of Rebecca from there lol. Although to be fair there's another possibility though, namely that the developer was inspired by Resident Evil for the name of two characters because back at RE we had Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine as main characters. Let's see what I could write for this week here.
Although I did say that there's no much for this week, we still had some usual progress from fan translation. This week we had Eustia at almost a quarter (24.85%) translated, Lee's route from Majikoi A-3 was had 29 out of 32 scripts was translated - I admit that I didn't closely follow Majikoi A-3 translation project, Musumaker was at 43.3% translated, Loverable was at 94.2% translated with Kaho's route was at 61.39% translated (Also was at 25.57% edited and 61.36% TLC-ed), Pure Pure was at 45.65% translated and for Chapter 3 right now it was at 40.21% translated, and Shin Koihime Musou was at 89% translated. Surprisingly this week we also got Yosuga no Sora update considering that it's more than a year since last update, with Motoka's route was at 40.52% translated. For Tsukiyori right now it was at 22.6% translated, while for Tsujidou there's still some translation work courtesy of Trip. For more detail right now Maki's route was at 61.94% translated and overall was at 65% translated, and because Trip tell us that by the time Urrim resume the editing work that the progress would be had some regress (The number was go down) I'll report it as 'translated and edited' if the regress would be really happened.
No Mangagamer updates for this week, which is quite unusual considering that they did the natch updates two weeks ago. Then again, maybe Mangagamer was preparing for their convention and two VNs release at 17th later, so perhaps we will see their updates next weeks. Oh, they did another VN release there which is a nukige from Umesoft. The premise was just a sexually frustrated wife who had affair with the mailman which according to the synopsis was a handsome one, which safe to said it's definitely not a grand story and therefore I didn't care about the release. That said, I think it's still okay though if Mangagamer really want to release that.
As for Chuusotsu, apparently the release was delayed to March 2018 later because of the translator real life matter. Not much saying here other than if you looking forward to Chuusotsu hope that you're willing to waiting longer. There's also another rerelase of Wild Romance, in which it would also translated the H Scenes as well and they will release that on Steam. Which is interesting considering that Steam was supposed to banned the discussion about 18+ patch, but then again there's no rule about spread 18+ patch outside of Steam anyway so yeah we still got 18+ patch for Wild Romance Steam release - for more info about new release of Wild Romance check this post here. Speaking about Steam, we had JAST did release Eiyuu Senki for that version. Seeing that we already knew that PS3 material could be ported easily to PC version, I think the Steam version would contain the additional scenes. Well the release was redundant enough anyway, although it could be good if someone want to get Eiyuu Senki Steam legally.
The well known release for this week was KARAKARA 2 which is the sequel of KARAKARA. As for the VN itself, it was tell a story about an accident that happened in the past that caused the world to decay, although it was very vague anyway and didn't get focused much. Instead we focused on how our MC Leon was living with two girls, and this time he got two additional female to live with - Rebecca who apparently like to plant the seed and the ninja girl Mari. For now I think it's only moege instead of some epic story just like Nekopara if we talk about KARAKARA, but I think it could perhaps had some potential. Other than KARAKARA 2 release, no much news from Sekai there.
That's all for this week albeit a bit shorter here, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/18/2017)
Very belated happy valentine first of all from me here, though I don't celebrate it too much here though. The title for this week was very simple, just combined the character name from KARAKARA 2 (Rebecca) with the valentine. And here's we got 'Rebecca's Valentine' - although if someone asked who is it, then I'll said that he was KARAKARA MC Leon. With that matter done, welcome to this week VNTS Review from mine as usual. As for this week, well it's very calm and plain from the updates although Sekai was quite active though. Let's move to the updates then.
The progress for Majokoi was 72.3% translated and 66.3% edited, and for more information Fred said that 8 out of 13 routes was finished for both of translating and editing process (There's also the matter about retranslating and reediting 3% of the VN). As for HatsuKoi, the team were planned to release the partial patch covered both of common and Midori's routes at either February end or early March, although I would just wait and see about that for now (They also do some image editing and fine-tuning the script this week). There's also Sono Hanabira 11 translation project in which they translated 111 out of 120 scripts there. For more progress, there's Witch Garden in which was at one fifth (20%) translated right now, and Tsui Yuri which is at 63% QC right now. Other than those updates about, there's Gakuen Heaven (BL VN) demo and Mahotsukai no Yoru chapter 7 translation release, although it's not interest me though. That's all for fan translation.
Sekai Project
Sekai was quite active at this week unusually once again, although I said that only in term of the Kickstarter though. But before going to Sekai's Kickstarter of course they had some updates from some of their projects. For the projects, this week we had Chrono Clock was at 95.8% translated, Bokukotsu was reaching 30% translated mark (31.61% translated), Kanonana was at 26% translated, and Maitetsu was at 94.6% translated. Oh, Sekai also had their 6th sekrit project was fully translated, and looking at the translation pace I think it's just another short VN there although I might be wrong here though. That's all for usual updates from Sekai there.
As for Sekai activity, actually it's more to the announcement though. Their first announcent was the sequel of KARAKARA in which they introduced another heroine (Rebecca), and her role was she was trying to plant some seed in KARAKARA world. Which is quite interesting a little bit if we considered the setting of KARAKARA (The world was barren because some sort of calamity). Other than Rebecca sketch, not much in regard of KARAKARA sequel for now.
The biggest announcement from Sekai at this week was Tokeijikake trilogy, in which they launch the Kickstarter for hardcopy and as expected it was very successful (Managed to gather 60,000 in less than one week, which still quite hard to do for some Kickstarter). As for Tokeijikake, I heard it was quite good VN trilogy in which it'll be involving some mystery of the two world. As for the trilogy, it was had some history in which there's already the translation project for the first game long time (After Shinikiss translation was finished, and it's from the same translation group). The progress back there was quite sparse, although before Sekai was announced Tokeijikake it was already finished according to the team. And the rest is history, although now to think of that it's almost one year though because Sekai was announced this back at Anime Boston 2016. For my opinion, I'm not quite interested to this right now but the opening for the first game was quite nice if I may say here. That's all for Tokeijikake here, and for more update it was at 40% translated right now (I mean the 2nd game).
That's all for this week VNTS Review from mine (Sorry if it's short there). See you next week.
PS - There's additional update from Loverable this week. For more detail, it was at 54.14% translated, 20.99% (Or perhaps I should said 21%) TLC-ed, 16.7% edited, and 16.13% QC-ed. Also apparently 4 out of 7 scripts from Satsuki's route were translated and TLC process for Tsugumi's route was going good. There's also the matter of image editing in which it was at 46 out of 142 image edited for mails, and overall the image editing was at 65.47% done. That's all for Loverable update here.
PPS - There's also additional update from HatsuKoi and Frontwing today, bit I'll save Frontwing for my next VNTS Review. Anyway, this week HatsuKoi made another good progress with Midori route was almost completed the translation with 90.38% translated (The translator said that they couldn't reach the goal for this update though, which is fully translated Midori route. Real life matter), and overall it was at almost reaching 30% translated (29.66% translated). Oh, they also doing many image editing near the end of Midori's route. As for their next plan, they aimed the release of Midori's route patch at thos weekend (Saturday or Sunday I didn't know). Look forward to the release then, and that's all for HatsuKoi belated update.
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/04/2017)
For the title, since we had Little Busters release at Steam and Princess X release by JAST I decided to just combined both title into 'Little Busters X', in which ironically it was sounds a lot like Little Busters EX and that version was contained 18+ scenes - and there's the fact that Steam version didn't contain 18+ for obvious reason. Speaking about Steam, apparently they didn't allow 18+ patch anymore so obviously Mangagamer couldn't do the same thing like Dal Segno anymore, and maybe there would be many VN company in the future will cut H content for Steam release there. Other than that, I can't comment much about that here.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and this week once again we had several updates along with VN Releases (Duh). As for the releases, it was obviously Little Busters and Princess X which is very opposite if we talk about the content here considering that the latter did had many sex scenes and the former didn't had any. As for Princess X release, well at least JAST managed to release two VNs in two weeks which is good for them I think even though I didn't interested with the titles here. About the VN itself, it was just a monster girl nukige thing and my impression here would be still the same like back at AX 2016. Though that said, apparently it had some deconstruction though in regard of sex with monster girl so perhaps it could be interesting for some people. Well have fun if you already interested with Princess X there, and if you curious about the deconstruction here's the comment about Princess X from VNDB courtesy of Tyrosyn.
For Sekai we had them released two additional stories for Nekonin in which both of the stories for side characters, and it should be good if one want to romance two side characters that was available in Nekonin. Other than Nekonin, we had Hoshimemo finally had estimated exact release date in which it would be at January later, and Sekai will release the beta version for the backer at 17th later. Not much interesting news from Sekai here to me, although the reason here was because I'm waiting for Tokeijikake exact release date though.
For fan translation here, we had Eustia was at 24.38% translated, Loverable was at 93.58% translated along with Kaho's route was at 57.21% translated and 25.61% edited for overall script, Pure Pure Chapter 3 was at 30.43% translated and overall was at 44.23% translated (The translator said it was rough one though), Musumaker was at 43% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 8% edited, Maki's route from Tsujidou was at 48.56% translated and overall was at 61.67% translated, Tsukiyori was at 21.8% translated and 12.9% edited - there's no much progress in translation because the translator did had overtime for several days but at least the editing was going nicely, and if some of you interested with Sansha Mendan finally we had the exact release date there in which it would be at December 1st.
Speaking about Sansha Mendan earlier, actually this time we had the new project from the translator (Quof) himself in which his project was Lovely x Cation 2 - I'll shorten it to LxC2 next time. It's not that surprising though if he would translate this eventually, but seeing that he was already bitter about translating the first Lovely x Cation say that it's good to see that Quof is already recover there. As for the plan, he was going to release the patch for each heroines route just like both of Majikoi and HatsuKoi (Interesting that LxC2 designer also work at HatsuKoi), and the order goes like Hime's patch first, then Hinata's, Seine's, and finally Wakoto's - if all goes well by January end we should have Hime's patch. No spesific plan in regard of 16 append disks, but at least I knew that it'll bring additional 34 H scenes and it was released monthly for a year - the additional four was came from each heroines birthday date. I'll keep my eyes on this later, even though it's just like old dating sims VNs in regard of raising status.
There's an interesting news in regard of Wild Romance that apparently it will be have 18+ version released in English, which should be good if you want to play it fully since the original version of that was supposed to be nukige, and the Steam version was cut a lot of sexual content which is essential to any nukige. Still have no idea in regard of this, so for now I'll just wait and see in regard of this. For the last news here we had Little Busters released at Steam in which it translated three additional routes as well, which was missing back at 2011 patch (Formerly posted at TL Wiki, and obviously meant that this is one of TL Wiki projects back at 2010). As for the VN itself, I think it should be well known enough and it was already discussed to the death. Anyway, while I think that this release was quite redundant it should be interesting to play if one want to see three additional routes, and maybe some graphical improvement although it was the least interesting feature to me though.
I thunk that's all for this week, and see you next week.
For this week title, I decided to just using 'Massacre the Fighter' from Tsujidou. For the explanation in regard of Massacre it was Maki's Red Baron, and for 'The Hooligan' part I use that from Comyu it was in regard of there's a character who had that nickname and the character himself was have the same seiyuu as Maki - the title was fitting for Maki anyway since she was considered as delinquent, and hooligan was the synonym for delinquent. As for this week, there's no VNTS here but even so I decided to just write the weekly review like usual. For this week, no big release to be blunt here because looking at VNDB we only saw some smaller release. Despite that this week we got some update in which it should be a norm for each week (Duh), and some release announcements. Let's see what I could write for this week, and welcome to this week VNTS Review here.
From Mangagamer we had Chiru was ready for preorder which mean that it was ready for the release, and yes it was about to be released on Steam at November17th - the blog post for the proof. I was quite surprised that Mangagamer decided to release Chiru first instead of releasing Kai first, considering that Chiru was happen later after Kai and not to mention that it's obviously Kai was released first originally. Either way to me Chiru release was redundant anyway considering that the translation was apparently using the old version, and there's already mod to add better graphic and voices as well back at 2013. Oh, for the references here Chiru was the 2nd part of Umineko and Kai was 2nd part of Higurashi - in the actual sense Chiru and Kai here was the answers arc, although from what I gather Chiru's way to answering Umineko was quite roundabout though so much that it gathered many theories in regard of the actual answers.
As for fan translation, it's still some usual progress though as warned beforehand there's no Tsukiyori update though. For the progress here we had Eustia was at 22.46% translated, Loverable was at 91.74% translated (Kaho's route was at 44.99% translated, 60.32% TLC-ed, and 24.7% edited), Musumaker was at 41.9% translated, Pure Pure Chapter 3 was at 5.43% translated and for overall it was at 40.6% translated, and Shin Koihime Musou was at 88% translated (6% edited). As for Tsujidou's update, it was going stable with Maki's route going 10% for each week so right now Maki's route was at 30.01% translated and for overall it was at 57.05% translated. Other than the updates, there's a word in regard of Chaos Head Noah translation project that namely they managed to get the translator here, so hopefully it mean that we could have some good news in regard of the translation - by the way if you want to knew the translator might as well visit his Twitter there. For the last news here, it's the bad news that namely Lovely Cation translation project was dissolving because all of the currently active member was quit the project and most of the members were missing. For more info I think I'll just link to Quof's post and EldritchCherub's post, because those two were the leaving members that I talked about.
We finally had Steam store for Little Busters, in which it should tell us enough that they indeed serious about the release at November 1st later. Speaking about the Steam store, there's another VN that was also had Steam store and surprisingly it was a VN that got quite good reception. Too bad though that the VN itself would be localized by SakuraGames, which to say that they already gather some infamy because their translation was quite bad and most importantly their choice of VNs was not quite good except for this one. As for that matter, to tell the truth that VN was quite interesting to be translated but seeing that the translation company was already quite infamous, maybe it would be better if I'm not expect much here. Oh, the VN itself would be released at November 16th later. Speaking about SakuraGames, their hemorrhoid imouto VN that was translated by Cafe was apparently cancelled and my comment here would be 'Okay, whatever'. But still, too bad though that Cafe's work didn't managed to had a release there considering that he was already worked on that. Oh well.
That's all for this week, and sorry if this time it was shorter here. See you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (10/14/2017)
I did see the premise for this week otome VN Bad Apple Wars at VNDB earlier here, and the premise was remind me of DS RPG The World Ends with You here so of course I decided to parodying the title here by changing 'You' to 'Apple'. Back to topic here, which of course my VNTS Review for this week and welcome to anyone else who read this. As for this week, there's two releases VNs although too bad that both of those were for console though instead of usual PC. There's also usual update from both of fan translation and Mangagamer, and there's a release of voice patch of Fate Hollow Ataraxia (I'll call this Ataraxia here). Let's see what I could write for this week here.
Apparently there's an update from Sekai in which Rakuen 18+ was finally finished, which should be good if one want to play more Grisaia and especially if they already waited for complete version. There's still some QC and engine work, but at least it should be good for now, and of course it would be better if Sekai will not have delay in regard of the release later. Other than Rakuen, there's no update from Sekai here.
From fan translation this week there's no update from Pure Pure, but that didn't mean that there's no progress because they still have the update in their Facebook page, and right now they do some proofreading for Chapter 2 in which it's at around 35% finished right now. There's Eustia as well in which they reached 21.94% translated, and they also had QC almost caught up with the editing process (14.7% edited and 14.69% QC-ed) - they also managed to recruit another translator, so hopefully we could see more good progress from Eustia here. Loverable here was still stable with the progress was at 91.09% translated (Kaho's route was at 40.7% translated), 59.56% TLC-ed, 23.45% edited, and 18.1% QC-ed. About Tsukiyori, apparently the translator will be going to a trip so she warned us that perhaps there wouldn't be any update in regard of that, oh well. For more update, we had Witch Garden at 33% translated and Musumaker was at 41.6% translated.
For the release here it was Ataraxia's voice completely ported to the PC version. It should be good if one want Ataraxia voiced and translated because the translated version was PC version, and the voiced one was PSP. As for the cast, I would say that they got good names for the new casts like Koshimizu Ami and Nabatame Hitomi for the examples. Well, have fun for playing Ataraxia there especially to admin Tay who Decay said was a big fan of Fate franchise.
This week we have Mangagamer updates and for the roundup here we had Sona-Nyl was at 12% translated, Sengoku Rance was at 34% retranslated, Trinoline was at 42% translated and 4% edited, Marriage was finished both of translation and editing process, Kuroinu Chapter 2 was finished the testing and Chapter 3 was fully translated, Sideboob was at 84% translated, Hashihime was at 30% edited, Maggot Bait was at 60% translated, Hapymaher was at 94% translated and 86% edited, and Chiru was atill in testing. They also answered a question in regard of Bokuten, and they answered that they still need to take care the engine in regard of that. As for a bit of release prediction, I think the closest one to release was Kuroinu Chapter 2 following with Imopara 2, in which both of those weren't interesting to me considering that I look forward to Damekoi and Evenicle here - and those two still not in testing yet, presumably waiting for their turn.
For Bad Apple Wars, it might get some praise there but the premise was once again remind me of The World Ends with You, in which both of those had a dead protagonist who must take a test for the chance to go back to life. That said, since this is otome VN of course we would had a female MC there. Have fun if you own the VN there, and hope it would be enjoyable.
Finally, for the big release here there was Chaos Child in which it was some sort of sequel from Chaos Head. Both of Chaos VNs did had same setting as Steins Gate, which make it ironic that while both of Steins Gate was already officially localized, here's the first part (Chaos Head) was still not officially released yet despite it was already announced back at 2009 and it managed to gather some polarized opinion. The premise for Chaos Child here was there's many murder which eerily resembled the murder from Chaos Head, and from there MC and his friends (Mostly female by the way) was tried to uncover the truth behind the murder. I knew that this VN did have pretty good score at VNDB and the character art was easy to see, but too bad though that it was for PS4 so I couldn't play this. Well, have fun if you already get Chaos Child there and have PS4.
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
PS - There's Tsujidou update in which right now Maki's route was at 20.57% translated, and overall was at 54.7% translated. Urrim also said that at November he will go to Japan, so perhaps the progress would be delayed by one or two weeks there. That's all for additional Tsujidou update.
PPS - Did a little more research, and found out that Angel Beats was more similar with Bad Apple Wars. But I think that 'The World Ends with Apple' still fit though considering that I instantly recognize The World Ends with You first instead of Angel Beats, and besides it also has similarity with Chaos Child that both game was had setting in Shibuya.
Visual Novel Translation Status (10/07/2017)
Since we finally had Saku Saku release along with the cute love fairy Tina at the image header, I decided to reuse 'Sakura Cupid' title here because we had love fairy and besides I think Tina (The aftermentioned love fairy) was quite fitting to be called cupid from what I said at first Sakura Cupid review. As for 2, it was to mimic the Winged Cloud who also released Sakura Beach 2 as the sequel of Sakura Beach. Speaking of Winged Cloud, apparently they released Sakura Gamer at Steam after they did the Patreon - you might check that up if you interested although I'm not quite interested though.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review in which this week was quite lacking to tell the truth, because Mangagamer already did their updates at last week. That said, of course there's always some update to talk about here and most importantly we had quite a big release in form of Saku Saku, which had a bit of history with mine here. Let's see what we had for this week.
For this week from fan translation, we had Eustia at 21.41% translated along with 14.62% TLC-ed - by the way Fione's arc was past halfway translated, Musumaker was at 41.1% translated, Norturnal Illusion Renewal was at 19.2% for the second pass editing, and Pure Pure Chapter 2 was fully translated - though that said it was apparently rough translation and right now it was also 30% proofread for Chapter 2, and then after Chapter 2 was finish the proofread the team will do the testing before finally released Chapter 2 patch (By the way, for the overall translation it was at 39.81% translated). For Loverable was reaching 90% mark translated (90.29% with Kaho's route was at 35.74% translated) along with 58.11% TLC-ed, 22.39% edited, and 17.62% QC-ed. For Tsukiyori here, finally there's some editing progress with currently it was at 10.3% edited along with 20.4% translated. For Tsujidou, yes Tsurezure work at Maki's route right now and it was at 10.14% translated as of now, and for overall it was past halfway (52.1%) translated.
Sekai Project
From Sekai here, it was only one big release in regard of the update. Before that in regard of their policy of not doing usual updates l would say that make the updates from them very vague, and it would be bad to anyone else who want to track their favorite VN project. Although seeing that they usually lacking if we talk about their updates, I guess it wouldn't matter much to me here especially if I considering that there were many projects that was already at 100% translated from Sekai and yet it's still not ready for the release yet e.g Maitetsu and Tenshin Ranman.
As for Sekai's release, it was Saku Saku which was released back at Monday and it was quite surprising that they ready for the release after their bad planning that was caused the delay back at August, because back then they still not ready yet. Anyway, what done is done and have fun playing Saku Saku there, and if I give some advice it would be don't expect much from the VN because I'd heard that many people were dissapointed with that although of course there should be some good points in regard of Saku Saku. Forget to say that the premise was quite unusual with love fairy thing.
Oh, for more trivia Saku Saku was started as fan translation by Akerou back at 2014 as a mean to practicing his translation skill before translating Irotoridori, and actually it was already finished the translation back at 2016 only to see that the release was still uncertain because apparently there's some 'polishing work' left iirc. Then turned out that there's Sekai who already made a deal with Akerou (And Shinku TL) to officially released Saku Saku ie the 'polishing work' was meant as finalize the deal with Sekai, and therefore delayed the release. Oh, I was shocked the moment I'd heard Saku Saku opening at Sekai AX 2016 stream so much that I closed the windows, and it was quite a while before I managed to finally calmed down in regard of the announcement.
I think that's all for this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/30/2017)
Sorry for being late here in regard of VNTS Review beforehand, and here's the belated VNTS Review for this week. As for the title, since we had To Heart 2 release I'm going with parodying To Love-Ru anime because in To Heart 2 we had alien with the nickname Ruu - coincidentally To Love-Ru was also had aliens, and and I used XRated here to reflect To Heart 2 patch release once again. With that title matter here done, welcome to this week VNTS in which we had good news from fan translation section and nice updates from Mangagamer. Let's see what we had for this week here.
For the first updates here we had Dangan Ronpa V3 which was out for PC back at September 26th, and apparently the premise was still the killing game. As for the story, to tell the truth it was quite a lot if we want to understand it fully and I think it could rivaled Kingdom Heart because there's a lot of material to cover. Nevertheless, I agree that it should be a good VN to play if you're Dangan Ronpa fan although the size might be too much though (At 26 GB). Also there's another update from JAST in regard of the release - very surprising that we had JAST announced two releases in short span of time, and it was Princess X which would be released at 31st later. What I could say is that at least JAST managed to released two VNs in short time in which it's already a big accomplishment of the year for them lol (Even though personally I didn't interested with the releases though).
Sekai Project
This week we only had Sekai (And Denpasoft) in regard of Anime Weekend Atlanta announcement, in which it's apparently just smaller scale anime convention compared to the like both of AX and Otakon. As for the announcements itself, well at least there's some yuri ie girls love so if one like girls love then Sekai announcements should be satisfied you although I'm not quite interested with those though - I admit that at least the art of those announcements were at least pretty nice. Oh, Denpa was also participate in this and they announced Nekonin 18+ patch along with two side routes in form of DLC which should be good considering that Nekonin was treated as nukige in the first place iirc. For the rest of the announcement, we got maid cafe VN, alien girl VN (Coincidence maybe?), and a yuri VN with the premise that remind me of yurirei. That's all that I could write in regard of the announcement for now.
Ironically, the most interesting announcement from Sekai here wasn't announced directly, but rather it was a subtle one. The announcement itself is Saku Saku finally had the Steam store for that, and they also already had release date in which it was at 2nd which should be tomorrow. I knew that it might be delayed just like back at Wagahigh, but at least now that Sekai was already had Steam store it mean that they'd ready for the Steam release unlike back at August end in which they did announced the exact date twice while they didn't ready for the release yet because they need to take care of Steam release first - permission and engine problem. As for 18+ of Saku Saku, still no word in regard of that yet but hopefully Sekai will announced that in near future.
Mangagamer
This week Mangagamer also had updates, and they also released Space Live as well back at September 29th. As for the VN itself, well the premise was quite ridiculous at the first glance with we had Internet Browser as the idol (And of course female), but then again knowing that there's Neptunia in which we had consoles turned into female perhaps it wasn't too surprising there. For more info here, I think the VN itself was quite cheap because there's no voice at the VN itself make this as some sort of hasty milk attempt from Circus (Aside Da Capo), and most importantly the female had the big breast in which it's quite unusual because Circus was also has flat chest heroine from what I knew. Oh, and by the way this VN was actually out in English first, so perhaps there would be improved Japanese version later just like MoeNovel's Lovekami - the addition of sex scenes. Have fun if you already bought Space Live there.
As for the updates here, I'd found it was more interesting compared to the release here especially in regard of Sona-Nyl in which it was at 9% translated right now compared to the past progress at 5% translated, and for that matter while it's not big at least it had some jump in regard of the progress (ie not always 2.5% jump for each updates). For the rest of the progress, we had Fata Morgana fandisc was at 90% translated, Kuroinu Chapter 3 was at 77% translated, Sideboob was at three quarter edited, Sengoku Rance was at 27% retranslated, Hapymaher was at 93% translated and 85% edited, Trinoline was at 40% translated, Sorcery Joker was in the testing process, Maggot Bait was at 57% translated, Hashihime was at 26% translated, Marriage was almost finished the translation (99% translated) and 95% edited, Supipara Chapter 2 was fully translated and edited - I wonder if the editor was suddenly very excited to editing Supipara there considering that at the last update it was still at 22% edited, Rance Quest was at 23% translated, and Evenicle was fully edited. For the last announcement here, Mangagamer announced the release date of Naked Butler which is at 27th later and could be pre-ordered right now - not my taste though.
Fan Translation
There's some interesting news from this section. But first before going to the news I'll write some usual updates for this week. As for the updates here, we had Eustia at 21.06% translated along with the editing was at 14.29% and TLC progress was at 13.61%. For more progress we had Loverable was at 88.72% translated (Kaho's route was at 24.85% translated), with 55.63% TLC-ed, 21.95% edited, and 17.34% QC-ed for the overall progress.
For the rest of the updates, I'll just roundup all of those and it goes like Pure Pure was at 36.33% translated with Chapter 2 was at 85.89% translated, Musumaker was at 40.7% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 87% translated and 3% edited - I admit that I didn't watch this closely but at least they got the percentage from what I read somewhere so it would be easier to track the progress, Venus Blood Chimera was at 71.9% translated, and Tsukiyori was at 19.2% translated - good job to the translator despite her being sick once again. There's also some subtle announcement just like back at Sekai with Saku Saku, in which Arcadeotic finally had a release timeline for Bishoujo Mangekyou 1 and the timeline would be at around 10th later. Here's his tweet for the proof, and I hope that the release for Bishoujo Mangekyou 1 goes well.
For the first news here it was in regard of Tsujidou, in which we finally had Tsurezure released Ai's patch there and if anyone else already planned to play Ai's route there have fun. As for the talk about the script, I'd find it was quite interesting with the fact that actually both of Runa's and Maya's route (From HatsuKoi, and those two were the longest routes) combined was had more lines compared to Ai's, although of course Ai's route itself was obviously longer with the script size for Ai's route was exactly twice of Maya's route. What I understand in regard of that was Ai's route was significantly longer compared to any HatsuKoi routes, and therefore it took more time to translated - good job to Tsurezure nonetheless for being fast of course, and for doing the image translation as well. For more info, Urrim also wrote that both of Maki's and Renna's route was only a quarter less that Ai's route which make each route was at least had around 150k words, and looking from that I think the translation for each routes should be done much quicker compared to Ai's there. As for the next plan, they're going to work on Maki's route starting from next week and of course I'm gonna report the translation progress on Maki's route just like usual here.
For the last news, we finally had To Heart 2 release by Ittaku after 10 years of hard work which coincidentally also VNDB's age right now (VNDB just celebrated it's 10th anniversary). Congratulation for the release there, and thanks for the hard work. As for the translation, it definitely had many history looking from the Readme text that came along with the patch, so I think it should be an interesting read. For To Heart 2 itself, well it's pretty much just usual lighthearted slice of life VN which surely was quite a lot nowadays, although compared to those VNs To Heart 2 was actually quite popular (Also the predecessor of the genre as well) and had a lot of fans so much that it spawns the fandisc and a RPG spinoff - understandable though if Leaf want to milk To Heart 2. If you want to knew more in regard of To Heart 2, just look at Wikipedia page because there's a lot of interesting info if you want more info in regard of To Heart 2 especially in regard of development. Well, have fun playing To Heart 2 if some of you already got the patch.
That's all for this week belated VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/16/2017)
Finally after two weeks absences here we see new VNTS there so of course I'll review it like usual, and before started the review for this week I'll just write some notes in regard of the image header (ie releases from past three weeks) from left to right pictures as refresher:
Boukaku was remind me of Paradise Kiss, and it's otome VN with sex content in which interest me back at AX 2016 - not interested anymore though
Ne No Kami 2 was remind me of bad release planning for Saku Saku because it was planned to be released at the same date with Ne No Kami 2 release - at August 31st, but regardless I think it's nice historical yuri VN (I mean Ne No Kami 2)
Too bad that I couldn't play Utawarerumono 3 because it was for PS4, although at least it's looking good from VNDB average score
Subahibi was released by Frontwing, and out of those four I think it's the biggest released here
I think that's enough for the refresher in regard of the releases, and let's see what I could write in regard of this week. Oh, and hope Caribbean people managed to rebuild their hometown after Irma destroy most of those like shown in the photo.
For this week title, I knew that it's sounds like the crossover fanfic for the anime of Sakurasou no Pet and Chuunibyou ga Koi but of course it's not. The reason here was because this week we had two demo releases from two VNs, Sakusakura and His Chuunibyou Can't Be Cured (Mangagamer's OELVN from back at Otakon) in which it's meant to show us what kind of VN that those two were - I knew that the title was sounded like one of Sakura franchise VN from Winged Cloud lol. Other than two demo releases, we had usual updates here and as expected this week Mangagamer was also joining the update for this week as well because it's their biweekly updates. Let's see what the updates had for this week, shall we.
From fan translation updates here we had Loverable at 88.01% translated with Kaho's route was at 20.11% translated (Also at 53.57% TLC-ed and 21.76% edited), Pure Pure was at 30.49% translated with Chapter 2 was at 62.18% translated, Musumaker was at 39.7% translated (I admit that I didn't keep my eyes closely on this project), Witch Garden was at 31% translated, Tsukiyori right now was at 17% translated, and Yo Heart 2 was at 90% QC-ed (Sasara's route was finished QC progress) and 95% proofread - Ittaku also stated that they on track for November release so let's wait and see in regard of that. As for Tsujidou, right now it was at almost halway translated (At 49.58% for overall translation) and Ai's route was fully translated - they also stated that in upcoming two weeks there would be no progress because they're preparing Ai's patch, so they could deliver September's end release. That's all for fan translation section.
For Mangagamer they bring bunch updates which is always welcomed here, although this week they had surprise though in which they also stated that Chiru was in testing already, and that mean it should be a good news for Umineko fans although to me it's still just redundant though. Speaking about testing, Imopara 2 was about to finished the testing which mean if everything goes well it should see the release in near future. And for more VN in testing, there's Ritarnia in which was already entering the testing and finally Sorcery Joker was about to do the testing - which mean that the engine work for Sorcery Joker was finished. For the updates here we had Maggot Bait was at 53% translated, Fata Morgana fandisc was at 86% translated, Hashihime was at 24% edited, Supipara Chapter 2 was at 22% edited, Sengoku Rance was at 20% retranslated and 10% edited, Rance Quest was at 23% translated, Hapymaher was at 91% translated and 84% edited, Sideboob was at 69% edited, Marriage was at 96% translated and 90% edited, Trinoline was at 38% translated, Sona-Nyl was at 5% translated - which mean it's only about 76 weeks left to be finished if they keep the pace like this in next weeks, and Evenicle was at 94% edited. That's all for Mangagamer section this week.
Other
This week Frontwing did has two updates as well here, so I'm gonna write that here. The first one was in regard of Phantom Trigger, and as expected they're gonna had Volume 4 and it will be released later at this Winter. Also as expected it'll be another spotlight chapter, and this time it goes to Sakurako which is an explosive master - also we're probably gonna know her dark past here just like previous two (By the way, I did say that Sakurako was remind me of Satoko from Higurashi appearance wise). There's also Momoiro Closet as well in which Frontwing was already opened it's website, and it will has Spring 2018 release. That's all for Frontwing update here.
For the last update here we had Sakusakura fund was got some burst since they released the demo, so right now they gathered 20,424 with less than 70 hours left. To tell the truth, it's quite questionable though they didn't release the demo earlier because if they did they earlier, I think it could help the awareness a little bit. In any case, the demo was rushed though because it got some problem at the first version but at least Sol Press issue the patch to fix that quickly, so for now I didn't had problem with the demo and they also promised that they're gonna fix the translation - not as bad as Konosora MoeNovel translation at the very least in regard of current translation. Let's see what they would do in regard of this later, and hopefully we could had good Sakusakura release later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review for now, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (07/16/2016)
For your info I was type this at the tab, so forgive me for some shortcoming here. Anyway, as for the title because we had Muv Luv released, and the sequel (Alternative) was happened to be inspiration for hit manga Attack on Titan, so I decided go to use title Attack on BETA (Since Attack on Titan also had prequel titled Before the Fall, so I decided to use the same title, although the picture for title inspiration was girls from Muv Luv playing lacross though). Oh, and by the way for some people who didn't knew BETA, it's obviously mean as stand in for the titan ie the aliens that invade Earth.
This week, other than Koiken Otome and Muv Luv releases I think there's only usual update here. The unusual thing this week would be that JAST had the update here, although too bad that Mangagamer didn't had any update this week (Guess I need to wait for another week here). I'll give my thought in regard of Decay musing at PS later.
For JAST, one of interesting thing for now would be Eiyuu Senki translation progress, which for the progress they started to translating H Scenes. In regard of H Scenes translation, I remember that back at Hongfire one VNDB user Surferdude was translating H Scenes and right now it was around 50% H Scenes translating. Maybe Surferdude was decided to work together with JAST here. Another interesting thing here would be Flower progress, which right now was had 70% editing progress (Although the progress from JAST Tumblr page itself was at 50% though) and 15% beta testing. For progress roundup here Princess X was 70% translated (Very fast progress for just recently announced project), Schatten was 96% translated, and Ryko was editing 50%.
Sekai progress was usual here. Since finally the progress was touching 5%, I decided to cover the translation progress for Korean VN here 'I Miss Her' (The exact number here was at 5.66% here). For Chrono Clock translation progress, it was at 25.97% translated while finally Tenshin Rahman translation was moving slightly here (30.04% translated here). Memory Dogma was almost fully translated with the progress was at 97.07%. That's all for Sekai progress here. Oh, and apparently Princess Knight Chapter 1 will be released at this month.
For Other segment, we finally had Muv Luv released at Steam. For now I'll just said this release was redundant, although I'm also know that there was some people who like new translation compared to the old one here. Corona Blossom Chapter 1 will be released at July 27th according to VNDB, although it was only July at Steam store though. The surprise here would be finally we had Mari's route fully translated for Libra translation progress here, although we still had Mari's bonus route untranslated though (Hopefully this will be quick, because I think it'll be shorter compared to the route itself).
Bishoujo Mangekyou as usual give the translation progress, although the team was facing slightly obstacle in form of translating interface and reforming the staff (For the progress, 23.4% edited and 14% QC-ing here). Tsui Yuri was also had usual progress here (Halfway (50%) 53% translated and 43% 44% edited here). No update from both of Majokoi and Witch Garden yet, and we had Hanasaki translation progress was at 32% translated for Hikari's route. For Tsukiyori, we had Luna's route 20% translated and overall translation progress was at 32%. Oh, and there's a project that was dedicated to translated Nocturnal Illusion Renewal, and apparently our JAST head Peter Payne was okay for fan patch here. For sad news, sorry to say that Koiseyo translation project was dropped here. And for a good news here let me said congratulations to Flying Pantsu for finally giving birth to their 'baby' safely after 3 years or struggle iirc (By 'baby' I mean Koiken Otome translation patch duh). Hopefully some of you enjoy Koiken Otome, and once again just think Koiken Otome as charage/moege with chuunige spice instead of full chuunige here if you ask my advice of how to enjoy Koiken Otome.
That's all for my review, and see you next week.
PS - To answer Decay comment, I didn't had complaint for both of Koiken Otome and Muv Luv new translation here. So my statement in regard of Muv Luv translation would be even if I said the release was redundant, I'm still said that it's fans right to either liking old translation or new translation here. Oh, and if Decay said that Ixrec translation was bad, I'd read some rumor that Ixrec was translating it half-hearted because he didn't like Muv Luv here.
Apparently this week Tay was at around Carribean where hurricane Irma was just passing, and the damage at there was quite severe in which it also affected the internet connection as well. So once again, unfortunately we couldn't had VNTS here just like last week. Even so, I decided to make the VNTS Review here so enjoy and if I missing the updates here just write in comment.
For the title, since we had both of Utawarerumono 3 and Boukaku release there I decided to join two title here - Bocchi Musume from Boukaku full title and Futari no Ikemen from Utawarerumono 3 (The real subtitle for Utawarerumono 3 was Futari no Hakuoro), although it was the truth though that Boukaku did had two handsome man hence the title 'Futari no Ikemen' (Two handsome men, and by the way apparently this is also the title for a doujin drama CD yaoi porn lol) which of course should be obvious considering that Boukaku was otome game in the first place. Other than the releases, this week we lacking the updates here if I may speak the truth. Although of course there's still some updates here, In which I'll try to report on that.
For fan translation, let me do the roundup for this week fan translation segment. For the roundup here, we had Loverable was at 53.2% TLC-ed and 21.4% edited (Kaho's route was at 13.25% translated), Pure Pure was at 29.54% translated with Chapter 2 was at 58.33% translated, and Tsukiyori was at 15.3% translated. As we had Subahibi released, finally we could see a progress from Sayooshi which right now it was at 43.9% translated now that apparently vvav was finished with Subahibi and imouto hemorroid VN thing, so hopefully we could see more progress from Sayooshi here. For the last progress here, we had Tsurezure do the update on Tsujidou in which it was at 47.3% overall translated with Ai's route was finally reach 90% mark (92.47%) translated, and they also stated that they should finished Ai's route next week and release Ai's patch at September's end (After doing image editing, second reading, and make the patch). That's all for fan translation section.
As for Mangagamer, I think that they'll gonna had the batch of updates at next week - and by the way they announced the release date for Space Live which is at 29th later (I'll talk about that later there). As for this week, they released Boukaku in which it was already been a year since it was announced back at AX 2016. As for the premise, we had a girl who is shunned because of her height and her scary face and the shunned was causing her confidence to be plummeted. At least until she met with two handsome men in which they would change the girl's life forever, by turning her into a model although the girl was not quite thrilling for the chance though at first. The premise here was remind me of Paradise Kiss anime, especially in regard of recruiting an ordinary girl to became a model although back in Paradise Kiss we only had one love interest though. For more additional info, this VN was actually had sex scene which is usually lack in any otome VN because most of that were didn't had sex scenes. Anyway, have fun for playing Boukaku out there if you already got that.
Right now Sakusakura was still gathering 15,874 with a week remaining. To tell the truth, it's looks very worrying considering that Sol Press only had little time if they really want to gather 24,000, and yet right now they just barely managed to got almost two third of the goal. Hope that by the end of KS that they managed to release it. For the last update, we had Utawarerumono 3 in which it was for console (PS4) so if you didn't had the console obviously you couldn't play that (Like me here). As for Utawarerumono itself, I think the first VN was conclusive enough although apparently Leaf was felt otherwise though so much that they made two sequels for Utawarerumono ie they want to milk Utawarerumono series - I would also like to ask the question though why they didn't release both of Utawarerumono sequels for Steam yet. My nitpick aside, I believe that Utawarerumono 3 was look quite good so if you already owned Utawarerumono 3, have fun for playing that.
That's all for this week, and once again see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review even though the VNTS itself was missing, and if you recognize the title for this week it was indeed looks like a mess from the first glance. Although the meaning here was actually very simple though, because it's just a title from this week big release which all of us should know. The release was Subahibi for the answer, although for the title here I decided to use four language for each part of the title. For 'everyday' and 'furenzoku' (Mean 'discontinuous') it should be obvious for what's the language was (It's English and Japan respectively), while for 'merveilleux' it was French word which mean 'wonderful' and 'dasein' here was the Germany word which mean 'existence'. The French word here was because the publisher for Subahibi was Frontwing, and we surely remember that Frontwing like to use French word for the subtitle in Grisaia trilogy. Oh, and the German was because Frontwing use that language for Subahibi subtitle.
With title matter done, as for this week it's definitely interesting week with big release such as Subahibi although unfortunately another big release here was delayed though because the bad planning. Other than releases talk here, we had the updates from both of fan translation and Mangagamer section which of course it was good to us here. Let's see what I could write for this week here.
About Mangagamer updates here, for most part it's looking good. The updates goes like Hapymaher was at 82% edited, Maggot Bait was halfway translated (Good job to Mangagamer CEO Kouryuu there for surviving half of Maggot Bait), Fata Morgana fandisc was at 82% translated, Sengoku Rance was at 10% retranslated, Rance Quest was at 20% translated (Surprisingly very fast there), Marriage was at 90% translated and 86% edited, Sideboob was fully translated and 65% edited, Hashihime was fully translated and 21% edited, Supipara Chapter 2 was 10% edited, Trinoline was at 35% translated, and Evenicle was at 87% edited. We also finally see Sona Nyl translation progress starting from this week, although as expected the number was low though - it was at 2.5% translated right now.
Sekai Project
Saku Saku here was unfortunately seeing the delay once again here, although they said that 'our cherry blossom gonna be blooming little late' (Not exactly like that though) or in more exact word minor delay so perhaps in near future it would be released - hopefully at 2017. As for my opinion in regard of this, I think this is very obviously showing that they had bad planning here because apparently they still need to get permission from Steam in order to set the Steam store for Saku Saku there, and apparently they still didn't readying that yet ie no Steam store. Not to mention that there's other factor there namely that the PR guy for Saku Saku was sick, and some of the staff was in Japan according to one of their employee. The bad planning here was not in regard of Steam or employee absence, but rather it was release date in which it sounds like trolling when they announced that twice and yet they're still not ready for the release. In the end, I think for now nothing we could do here other than waiting.
To closing Sekai section with positive news, back at 31st they're released Ne No Kami volume 2 which of course the continuation of Ne No Kami in which it tell us of GL story in which one of the girl was from future who thrown into the past. Oh, and apparently this is the last volume or something like so if you want to see the ending for Ne No Kami, then you could read that and have fun.
Fan Translation
For fan translation, apparently from what I saw it get fewer updates compared to last week but of course the update should be still good, no matter of how small they were. As for the updates here, we got Eustia at 20.58% translated, Loverable Nanako's route was fully translated and only Kaho's remaining (Overall was at 86.98% translated, 52.47% TLC-ed, and 21.02% edited), Pure Pure was at 27.96% translated with Chapter 2 waa past halfway (51.92%) translated, and Tsukiyori was at 14.3% translated.
We also finally had Tsujidou update here after two weeks absence, in which while it was told beforehand I'd still anxious waiting for their update there. As for the updates here, it's looking good for people who been busy for two weeks with Ai's route was reaching 80% mark translated (84.1% translated) and overall was at 44.77% translated. They also told their next plan, in which that they hope to finished Ai's route within two weeks and releasing Ai's patch either at September's end or October's beginning. Looking forward to next update here, considering that they promised that they would had another update next week.

Sakusakura kickstarter here was gathered 12,340 with 16 days left. As for this condition here, to be honest it was quite slow if we talk about the funding but then again it was lacking in regard of promotion compared to Sekai Project, so perhaps it's inevitable that it would go like that. But still, I would like to see the KS to be successful here so for now I would still hope the best for Sakusakura there.
For the last news here, we had a big release and it's obviously Subahibi in which it was published by our Frontwing. As for the premise itself, it was telling us of how apocalypse would be approaching at July 20th 2012 - which to said was of course false here considering that right now it's at 2017 here lol, and for that we'll gonna see the events at around July 20th from multiple perspective. The translation itself did had many history with at first it was posted at TL Wiki from back at 2012, only to see some sporadic progress. And after Kajitsu was finished, I remember that Subahibi progress was more frequent at 2015, before Moogy said that it's gonna get officially translated and therefore delayed the release. Then after we forgot about this mostly, suddenly we had Frontwing announced that they gonna release this back at February, and here we are with Subahibi released at August 31st. Censored content aside, at least we got Subahibi once again and let me said congratulation to the Frontwing in regard of their first attempt to released the title from another publisher. Oh, and if you look forward to play this because most review that praise Subahibi there, have fun to find out if Subahibi was really good as review said (Or maybe felt that Subahibi was overrated).
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (07/15/2017)
The reason for the title was because we had image header from Subahibi, and we had Subahibi giving the Germany title as well (Usual Frontwing, like French at Grisaia), and since we had Alice allusion at Subahibi I thought that if I used Germany title of 'Alice in Wonderland' it would be fitting (I apologize if any Germany people get upset here), only that instead of Alice I'll using 'Hasaki' because the girl in image header was Hasaki from Subahibi. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, in which this week there's no much update from official company although I suppose that's given after many announcements from last week AX. Let's see what updates that we had for this week, even if the updates was not a lot and therefore this week post would be short.
Looks like I couldn't access Sekai project progress somehow right now, so it mean that there's no visible updates from Sekai unfortunately. Although to tell the truth it didn't matter though seeing that most of the visible project was already fully translated. Hope I could access the progress in the future, although if that's Sekai new policy then so be it. Lack of visible translation progress aside, actually there's one in which it was from Tokeijikake trilogy 2nd VN (Daybreak) and right now it was at three quarter translated. Sekai also said that right now they performing QA for the first VN, because apparently it was still need some debugging in order to reduce crash when not play on Japanese locale. Oh, and apparently it'll be available soon for the KS backer although it would still had some bug though. There's also Serment RPG VN hybrid thing that had Steam store opened, although I wasn't quite interested with that for now.
This week Frontwing decided to do some Kickstarter for Subahibi in order to produce the hard copy. For the first glance the goal was higher than usual hardcopy only Kickstarter (At $80,000), but actually it make sense though with apparently there'll be many merchandise and there's also stretch goal of $180,000 which apparently there will be some side story that would be wrote by the author (SCA-JI) himself. Not interested with the tiers to be blunt (I'd never interested with those at any Kickstarters in the first place), but good luck to Fronwing in regard of their Kickstarter and I'll report the gathered fund weekly. Oh, I checked their Tumblr in regard of 18+ patch and found out that the Steam version didn't censor yuri scene much, so maybe Steam was more acceptable with explicit content compared to few years ago imo. For newly released VN (Sorcerer's Dream), there's a talk that the VN was had many translation error although the title wasn't interesting to me though, so I'll pass this one (Congratulation for the release though).
There's many usual updates from fan translation segment, so let's try to roundup the progress here. For this week we had Clover Days Anzu's route was at around 81% translated; Majokoi was both at 90% translated and edited (70.36% TLC-ed); Loverable was at 79.55% translated (Nanako's route was past halfway (52.06%) translated), 20.75% edited, and 46.65% TLC-ed; Sansha Mendan was reaching past 90% mark (92.5%) translated; Venus Blood Chimera was at 46% translated; and Eustia was at 17.73% translated and 10.97% TLC-ed. For Ataraxia voice inserting, right now it was finished although they said that it'll take a while before the release. Pabloc was also had some update with his Konosora restoration project, namely that he'll had the common route QC-ed as well because the translation was still bad and therefore it'll take a while before the release (Hopefully this year).
We also had Ate the Moon Translation came back, and this time the team was decided to take on Tsuki Yori Yoritsou Otome no Sahou or as I called Tsukiyori which also known as trap VN from Navel (They already planned the translation for a while). Speaking about Tsukiyori actually it's already had the translation project in the past with another team, but it was dropped because the previous translator was too busy. For now I would like to keep my eyes on the project, and good luck to the team in regard of translating Tsukiyori. They already had the progress, and right now it was at 4.9% translated and 2.5% edited. Keep in mind that the updates might take month, because the translator herself tell us that she was quite busy. And since we had Alice for this week title, might as well said that right now Alice no Kuni otome VN progress was reaching 90% (All of it) and right now they want more translator (Not interested with Alice no Kuni, but good luck nevertheless).
I think that's all for this week, and see you next week.
PS - There's an update from Tsurezure in regard of Tsujidou (Duh), and this time they managed to reached a quarter (25.93%) translated mark for overall translation with Ai's route was at 21.87% translated. No much I could say in regard of that for this week, and that's all for now.
