Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for this week title I parodied Dragon Quest by changing 'Dragon' to 'Booby' because we have Funbag Fantasy 2 release so we have 'Booby Quest 2'. For more elaboration Funbag is a big breast nukige and as we know it parodied Final Fantasy, so I decided to parodied Dragon Quest in which it's the biggest RPG franchise after Final Fantasy. By the way it's the second time I parodied both of Dragon Quest and Funbag Fantasy here, and the first time was back at 2016 when the first Funbag Fantasy was released. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week while it's more lively because we have three releases, my interest is more leaned toward the updates though (Especially Eustia) because two of the three releases are nukige which to say not my interest here. Let's see what I can write for this week here.
From Cherry Kiss we have nukige Nympho Monster Domination in which it'll tell us that the setting is in the another world, so at least we have another isekai nukige translated here. Go get the VN if you interested and have fun. We also learnt that in Sol Press language Nukitashi meant Busy Wizard LN, or in other word they're not surprisingly delayed Nukitashi until further notice. Well it's not surprising to me was because they still at 8% translated when they announced the release date back at AX, and so far the progress was not like they're ready to fulfill the deadline that they set back at 22nd. It's also a shame that Sol Press apparently more focused on LN and forget to announce the delay on Nukitashi here (Unlike Nekonyan in which at least they announced Senren Banka delay), which is too bad here. For now I just hope that Sol Press will improved themselves in regard of marketing, in which apparently it started to get worrying because they make several mistakes.
As for Funbag Fantasy 2, for the reminder it's Arunaru who localize the title. Since this is also nukige, i would say that I'm not quite interested with it even with apparently it have some interesting story. You may get that though if you like heroines with very big breast, and have fun if you play it. For other updates, we have Uchikano was fully edited, Sona-Nyl was halfway edited, Mugen Renkan image editing was in progress, the testing for Magic and Slash was finished and currently the release build for that was in finalizing process, Sideboob 2 release build was currently in finalizing process as well, and Sukehime was at 81% edited. For the last progress here we have Mangagamer finished the image editing for Matsuribayashi and currently they do some programming work on that, which mean hopefully they'll be able to release it in near future and finally we can Matsuribayashi being voiced and have PS3 graphic (For the info Matsuribayashi was not available for PS2 version because Alchemist decided to make their unique finale for that version). That's all for Mangagamer's updates here.
Other than two nukige that I mentioned earlier, we have Lamunation release in which it's easy to say was the most interesting release to me here. As for the premise, we have Luna who always have fun in a modern looking city along with his twin sister, his childhood friend, and his best friend who is a twin (All characters besides Luna are female for the info). While the writer of Lamunation here (Kepposhi) did have some controversy and that it affected Erogamescape scoring a lot, actually this VN is might be nice if you're in a mood to enjoy some simple VN that have a lot of comedy here. So the best advice that I can say is that would be just enjoy what we have in Lamunation here, and have fun with it because I can see that the writer have a lot of fun to insert many joke and parody (And a lot of meme) there. For additional note here, the price is quite cheap for a medium length VN (At US$ 13 if I remember) so at least you can legally purchase it if you have some money to spare, and not to mention you can have the sex scenes which is always a bonus if we compared it to Noraneko duology. Granted that some featured was cut out because of the price, but at least it's more in regard of technical matter which is fair enough to me here.
Almost forget that we also have some updates from Sekai, in which currently they already have Winter Polaris entering QA and set the release month to December (Good luck for that I guess). Other than Winter Polaris we have Sekai waiting Bokukotsu FD build from the developer, and more importantly they already finished the QA for Tokeijikake 2 and currently they fixing the bug that might be left in the engine. In any case, I hope that Sekai's plan to release Tokeijikake 2 in December will be going well.
From fan translation, we have Mitosukushi Omote was at 59% translated, Loverable was at 73.13% edited, and Eustia show some nice progress. For more elaboration here currently we have Eustia was at 84.56% translated with Eustia's chapter was almost finished the translation progress (At 99.78% translated), and also it was at 69.76% edited with Licia's chapter was already past 90% mark (94.54%) edited. What I can say is that good job to Eustia's translation team, and hopefully we'll be able to have it released at 2020 later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
For this week title since we have Summer Pocket Ao's patch released and that Summer Pocket story here is basically resembled KEY older VN story, I treat Summer Pocket as KEY All Stars an combined it with PreCure All Stars Memories so we have 'KEY All Stars Memories', only that the most obvious reason is we wouldn't have all KEY VNs heroines in Summer Pocket. And since we already have three patches released, I did treat this as the part three of the review. That aside since we didn't see a releases we can say that this week is more or less a calm one, although with Mangagamer finally announce Bokuten release date after six years along with Ao's patch released, this week is turned out still interesting to me. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
In case you still want your otome VN Alice Taisho to be retranslated, be happy because we have a well known translator Verdilish retranslate it. As far as progress concerned, it's almost ready for the release. Or to be exact we already have the release date for that and it'll be at 28th later, so if you've been want ed to read Alice Taisho with better translation feel free to take note on the date. For the info, we already have this translated for a while with the localization company did their best to translate and dubbing the VN. Although in this case the hardwork of the company is not appreciated though, mostly because of their translation fiasco (Hiragana Alice and Katakana Alice anyone?) and that the dub is not the best quality to say it lightly (Apparently it's only been dubbed by one person). As for me, even with the better translation and I took a liking of otome VN I still wouldn't interested with Alice Taisho though, and the reason is because we only have one part being translated and therefore we need to wait if we want to play the full version here.
Congratulation to Sekai Project in regard of their successful Rewrite+ Kickstarter at 207,200 funded, and hopefully it mean that they'll work on this more intensive now that they already got the new translator for it. Still not going to change my mind that the main game is a redundant one even with the so-called revised script in the Plus version, but at least the fandisc is still nice if you've been waiting for it since back when Ixrec finished Comyu's translation (At 2014 for the reminder). Of course we still need to wait for Sekai to finished the main game first, but let's just hope that it'll be done quickly. We also have some updates from Sol Press like I said back at last week, and for the updates currently we have Sakura Celebration was at 48% translated along with 38% edited, Himawari no Kioku was at 69% translated along with 58% edited, and Nukitashi was at 58% translated along with 7% edited (I can see that Sol Press will delay Nukitashi's release at 22nd later with the current progress here). For Sol Press here, I'm just hope that we can see both of Witch's Garden and Mirai Radio progress in the near future.
As for the aforementioned Bokuten release date, Mangagamer did announce it back at NYC. The release date for that will be at December 19th later, in which it should make a good Christmas release here (Although Mangagamer may have one more release to announce after Funbag Fantasy 2 release though). For a bit of history, Mangagamer did announce this back at 2014 which mean that it need five years to be finally released. Granted that there's a lot of porting work in order to allow both of Mac and Linux user to play this, but to me it's not like it's necessary seeing that most of PC user would using Windows. If anything else, at least it's good that Mangagamer willingly to approach OS user outside Windows. For the story, granted that I only read the review but at least I can say it'll be more dark compared to other Overdrive VNs so much that it leaned towards utsuge. Also if you dislike Deardrops writing, you better just ignore this seeing that the writer is the same and that he's more or less will write in the same way (In that I just realized he might be on cynical side in regard of love).
From fan translation, currently we have Trip took a rest as Irru said so obviously we didn't have Ginharu update at this week. Of course we still have some other updates though, such as Miotsukushi Omote was past halfway (53%) translated, Loverable was at 73.06% translated, and Eustia was at 82.50% translated with Eustia's chapter was also already past 80% mark (84.84%) translated. For the big update here, we have Alka released the aforementioned Ao's patch so you can get it at their site if you've been want to play it only for Ao's sake just because she was designed by Tsubasu Izumi, and have fun. For Alka's next plan here, obviously they'll continuing Kamome's route translation in which it's been at a quarter (25.14%) translated and then they'll working on the true route translation.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
In regard of two (Problematic) releases, I decided to join both of VNs title (Kimiaogi/My Fair Princess and Noraneko 2 (TL Note: Neko mean cat)) so that we have 'My Fair Cat' as this week title. Anyway welcome to my VNTS Review for this week, and while I'm supposedly be excited seeing two moege releases and that the graphic is not too bad, it's just too bad that those two releases have some big problems. Although to balance it I like some of the updates that we get, so in case you quite disappointed with the releases at least you can look forward to the updates here. If anything at least I can say that this week is slightly more lively compared to the last week, and let's see what I can write for this week as well here.
For the first updates, I'll talk a bit about the two problematic releases. While we should be happy that we finally managed to have Sol Press released Kimiaogi, apparently there's still some bug left. Namely that some text are still in Japanese and apparently some option in the menu are mixed up. I can only guess that they missed it during the QC, which once again proved that Sol Press may do the QC hastily in order to fulfill their promised release date. Honestly they didn't really need to announce the exact release date if they still didn't ready for the release back at AX (Especially if the date in question is in the near future), but I guess it's already happen so oh well. Anyway feel free to get Kimiaogi if you've been interested with that and have fun, and hopefully Sol Press release in the future didn't have the same problem like Kimiaogi.
While granted that Kimiaogi release is problematic, at least I can still say that it's not too bad compared to Noraneko 2 in that it did have the sex scenes being censored just like the first one. Granted that they give the reason such as the lack of funds to license the sex scenes voices here, but I would say that actually they can just remove the voice in the sex scenes seeing that we have Mangagamer did remove the voice for initial releases both of Koihime Musou and Kara no Shoujo. Granted it's still controversial, but at least it still less compared to their sex scenes censorship. Other reason is that apparently Harukaze decided to change the brand to Tokyotoon and decided to deal with all age VN only just like Leaf, so they decided to released the console version of Noraneko duology. I prefer Leaf treatment then, in that they didn't officially localized their old releases that have sex scenes. Censorship aside, even with Noraneko 2 being uncensored I still wouldn't interested with it anyway seeing that I'll just treat it as the fandisc. Feel free to get Noraneko 2 if you didn't mind the censorship, and have fun.
Other than the releases above, we have Lamunation release date announced and as for the date it'll be at 22nd later. While granted that obviously I shouldn't take the VN seriously because most of the time it'll have comedy and meme, at least the graphic is quite good looking so at least you can look forward to it if only for the graphic alone. We have Nekonyan gave us their monthly update here, in which I suspect that they may need to delay Senren Banka again seeing that it's still not at ~90% translated. I know that I should praise them to work diligently on that seeing they also work on both of Makeover and Hello Lady, but I thought that to fulfill the December release Nekonyan will focused on Senren Banka work only to be proven wrong. In any case, at least they already have new translator (Meru) joining to translate two side routes of Senren Banka, so hopefully the work on Senren Banka will going more efficiently and they'll manage to release it at December later. For the progress roundup, we have Senren Banka was at 65% translated and 60% translated, Makeover was fully translated and 78% edited, Hello Lady was at 90% translated and 85% edited, second secret project was at 40% translated and 35% edited, and third secret project was at 20% translated along with 8% edited.
We also have Mangagamer gave us some updates as well, and as for the roundup currently we have Sideboob 2 finished the testing, Rance 01 was at 89% edited, Uchikano was at 70% edited, Sona-Nyl was at 40% edited, and Sakuramori image editing was finished so hopefully it mean that we can see Sakuramori in the testing soon enough (I look forward to it). As for their next release after Funbag Fantasy 2, most likely it'll be Imopara 3 in which it's a nukige. Speaking about nukige, almost forget that Cherry Kiss announced the release date for their newest nukige Nympho Monster Domination, and it'll be at 21st later (Same date as Funbag 2 here).
From fan translation, we finally have Loverable past 70% mark edited or to be exact currently it's at 72.28% edited. For more progress, we also have Miotsukushi Omote was at 48% translated and Eustia was at 81.46% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 77.35% translated along with 68.06% edited and 54.24%TLC-ed. For usual update from Tsurezure in regard of Ginharu, currently we have Momiji's route was at 18.77% translated and fr the overall of Ginharu currently it was at 47.38% translated. Also apparently we'll going to have Trip take a break from translating Ginharu here and Trip did tell us that we'll not going to have weekly update for a bit, although Irru say that Hinata's patch release shouldn't be impacted or something like that (At least he did say that he'll make a post when Hinata's patch being released later).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - I did take a brief look on Sol Press updates (Their first one after a while), and I'll talk about it at next VNTS Review. As for what I can say about it right now, I just wonder when we'll going to see either Witch's Garden or Mirai Radio progresses (Or both) here.
Because we have Ginharu Bethly's patch released and that one of her setting is her father is a pilot, I parodied one of Macross iconic song 'My Boyfriend is a Pilot' by changing the word 'pilot' to 'dad' (Of course Bethly wouldn't sing the song in the game seeing that the lyric is more fitting for the couple and that Bethly didn't have Electra complex there). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for this week we have interesting update from fan translation in regard of Bethly's patch release. Other than that we also finally have Sol Press announce the new release date for Kimiaogi along with some nukige releases, while at the same time we have a failed Dei Gratiia KS. So overall what I can say is that this week is pretty calm from the official side, while from fan translation it's pretty interesting. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
We have Mangagamer did released kunoichi nukige from Umesoft, and what I can say is that at least it's sort of interesting if you want to play nukige featuring kunoichi. Other than that, there's Black Office nukige that was released by an unknown publisher, in which it'll depict a story about an office woman who will face several sexual situation in the office or something like that (I only know that at least it'll have female MC). Feel free to get both of the nukige if you want it, and have fun. Speaking about nukige, we have Cherry Kiss announce another nukige with isekai setting, and the name of the nukige is Nympho Monster Domination (The real name of that is quite mouthful by the way). For the release, apparently they'll do it at this month (November) so let's wait and see here.
While it's logical that Dei Gratia KS is failed (It was funded at 7,844 out of 57,000) seeing that they set the goal too big for a lesser known doujin VN localization, it's still too bad though that they failed seeing that they've been want to share the VN because the story remind Lemmisca's staffs of Ever17 (For the record Lemnisca is started from the fan translation group who did Never7 as their first work in VN translation, and that they'd been inspired by Ever17). So for the next plan they decided to not working on this for seeing that the KS is failed, although they said that they may will try it again if there's another chance in the future. We also have good news as well here, in which we finally have Sol Press announce the new release date for Kimiaogi in which it'll be at Friday later, so let's hope that Sol Press already finished what was needed to resolve the bug so that they wouldn't need to delay it anymore. For anyone else who still keep the eyes on Muv Luv translation project, we finally have Photonmelodies fully translated although it's obviously still need quite a lot of time bore the release though.
For the fan translation, actually we have a full release in which it's a short otome VN that was worked on by Zakamutt. While I'm not interested to this, at least you may pick it if you've been wanted to read a love story between the princess (Who also the MC) and her ninja bodyguard. For the updates, we have Miotsukushi Omote was at 45% translated, Loverable was at almost 70% (69.98%) edited, and Eustia was finally past 80% mark (At 80.60%) translated with Eustia's chapter was at 71.07% translated along with 66.47% edited. There's Alka as well, in which currently they editing and testing Ao's patch before release it in the near future (At most would be next week), and then after that they'll continuing Kamome's translation work before finally focusing on both of Pockets and Alka routes (Both of those routes are Summer Pocket's true route). They also stated that they'll make sure that we'll have Summer Pocket available in English at this year whether it's from Alka or from KEY themselves, so let's see it later. For Summer Pocket's translation progress, we obviously have Ao's route already fully translated and for the current progress of Summer Pockets it was at 60.36% translated.
In regard of Ginharu, we finally have Bethly's patch after two months of waiting so congratulation for Tsurezure for finally manage to do it after they being stumped by the real life matter. While I understand that some people would prefer waiting until Mizuha's patch released (For the reminder Tsurezure will translated Mizuha's route last and so I called Ginharu's full patch as Mizuha's patch), you can try Bethly's patch if you've been wanting to play her route just because you've been interested with her only and have fun if you do it. For the progress, since we have Trip being sick since Tuesday (I hope he'll get well soon) so that there's not a lot of progress there, currently we have Momiji's route was at 11.94% translated with overall Ginharu was at 46.1% translated.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For this week since we have Momiji's route from Ginharu started being worked on I decided to use the title 'Silver Colored Faraway', and of course it's the fourth time I used the titling hence 'Track 4' word here. I'll explain more on the title at PS later, so let me say that the second part of the title was taken from one of Kanon 2006 title specifically episode 4 (Holiday Caprice) which to say was quite a coincidence here. As for this week while my focus here is more on Ginharu, we have four nukige released with two of those are quite dark in that both of those contain several extreme sex scenes. We also have Noraneko sequel being announced, which to say was not quite interested here mainly because it's more like FD to me and not to mention being censored. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
About Amayakase here while it's good that JAST was quickly released this as soon as it's announced, it's just too bad that it's not quite interesting to me because when it come to nukige I would prefer them to work on Yamizome. Although in case you like to have silver haired cousin who like to take care of you including the sexual need, then feel free to play Amayakase here and have fun. There's Magical MILF from Cherry Kiss as well, in which we'll going to have five housewives who is the former magical group are about to fight the evil that was return with the risk of being raped. While I secretly hoping that we'll getting more magical girl VN and that Magical MILF sort of fulfill my wish, I can't say that I like the design because their breast is too big and it distract the costumes here. I know that the premise is to have very big breast magical girl, but when it come to the big breast magical girl I prefer Hijiri of Gendou Rinne. Anyway you can get Magical MILF if you've been interested with it and have fun.
We have Harukaze did release Noraneko 2 English demo back at 23rd, and obviously it mean that we'll going to have Noraneko 2 translated. Let's just say that even if for example Harukaze release it properly, I think I wouldn't take an interest to this because it's pretty much amounted to FD here even though Harukaze did treat this as the sequel. While there's still no word from Fruitbat in regard of no sex scenes, I think it's should be pretty obvious that it'll be censored just like first Noraneko seeing that they once again credited the VA with their real name instead of the alias. In any case let's just treat this as another censored release from Harukaze and move on, although if you interested with it keep in mind that it probably will be out at November later.
We have Mangagamer released Maggot Baits in which if we knew is full of disturbing rape. While Mangagamer CEO Kouryuu who also the one who translated the VN promote it as the love story, I can only say that there's several VN with love story that have significantly less number of disturbing rape, so if you want some love story and hate disturbing rape contents then you shouldn't force yourself to play Maggot Baits. In any case, you can get it if you didn't mind the disturbing contents and have fun. If anything at least the opening song of Maggot Baits here is pretty cool and it's English song instead of usual Japanese. Almost forget to mention that since Mangagamer released Maggot Baits, it mean that they'll announce the date for their next release and in this case it's Funbag Fantasy 2 in which it'll be released at November 21st later. Also judging from on how they already have the release build for Impoara 3 ready, perhaps it's safe to say that Mangagamer will release it at December later.
About Annerose, what I can say is that the release was quite sudden and that VN is another dark nukige from Black Lilith. The premise is that we'll going to have a very weak looking MC who work for a very arrogant female detective witch with the name Annerose (Title drop), who if we know Black Lilith nukige enough will suffer a lot of rape and mind break (At least it's not as disturbing as Maggot Baits, but it's something to keep in mind). Well you can get Annerose if you show some interest to Black Lilith nukige, and have fun. For the rest of fan translation usual updates we have Harugi was regressed to 53% translated because apparently the team find the new translator and the new translator decided to retranslate the whole Branch, Miotsukushi Omote was at 39% translated, Loverable was at 69.72% edited, and Eustia was at 79.59% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 63.80% translated.
For the last update from fan translation, we have Trip managed to translated 7.87% of Momiji's route (Which is at around 3,119 lines) and that's bring overall Ginharu to be at 45.34% translated. We also have Irru finally tell us that the work for Bethly's patch is almost finished, so we may have Bethly's patch at this weekend later (ie Saturday or Sunday) if all goes well. In any case, I'll look forward to Bethly's patch release here.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week
PS - As for the second half of the title, I use 'Caprice' out of all song term in Kanon 2006 episodes because it's the one that fit Momiji the most here, seeing that she like fantasy story and all. For the translation notes here, the Japanese for caprice did contain the kanji for fantasy or imagination, and it's also her route theme as well seeing that her route is about acting in that it need imagination to execute. For 'October' part, it's more simple in that it's from Hanafuda card game and the October card is called 'Momiji' in which it's Japanese name for maple tree.
Since we have Summer Pocket Tsumugi's patch release at the last week that somehow I missed it, I decided to reuse 'KEY All Stars Memories' title here and of course it's the second part of the review here. For the reminder here Summer Pocket is basically have the plots of older KEY VNs, while All Stars Memories here is parodied PreCure All Stars Memories in that it have inserted all 55 PreCures in a sloppy way. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week we have some Mangagamer's update along with Sekai surprisingly quite forward with their announcements, along with of course some regular updates from fan translation. As for the releases, after several big name titles this week we have a breather with lesser known title here, and perhaps it'll be going like this until December later so I'll going to look forward when suddenly we have many releases at that month later. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
Recently we have JAST announce new VN release called Amayakase, and they already have the release date announced in which it'll at 25th later. While granted it's only short nukige there, I really wish that JAST would apply the same speed at their more interesting announcements such as Yamizome if I need to compare it with another nukige here. Speaking about release date, turned out that Sol Press not surprisingly delayed their Shitsuaru from their supposed promised release date at 18th presumably because it caught the same bug as Kimiaogi. While on subject of those two VNs, I didn't really recall such instance happened when Koi Iru Chuu Lips was released (That VN was also developed by Pea Soft). But then again, if we recall Pea Soft did lose a number of no mosaic CG for accidentally delete the file so there's that. In any case, it mean that Sol Press only able to fulfill their AX promise for Onikiss release as of now.
In case you need some horror VN, you can try Raging Loop in which it's been released by Lemnisca here, although you need to wait until December 5th for PC version though because currently it's only available for Switch and PS4 version. The premise it's goes like a deadly Werewolf game in which the MC discover the power to loop back tot the time before he got killed, and from there he decided to figure the mystery behind the game. In case you already interested with the VN (So far it's quite well received) and have either Switch or PS4, you can try Raging Loop there and have fun. We also have some update from redundant Sharin project, and currently they doing some debugging before doing the testing. So if you somehow still waiting for this even after we have 10 years old patch, you still to need more waiting before finally they manage to release it.
From Mangagamer we have they submitted Bokuten for Steam review, so perhaps the time for the release is almost close after years of waiting. Speaking about almost released VN, we have Imopara 3 was already have the release build ready so if you prefer to have imouto (Little sisters) with colorful hair as opposed from Onikiss perhaps you didn't need to wait for long here (I'll just assume that they'll release it at December just like the prequel). For the roundup of the updates, we have Magic and Slash fully updated and currently in testing, Sideboob 2 was in testing, NyanCafe image editing was finished, 01 was at 57% edited, X was at 28% translated, Sona-Nyl was at 35% edited, Uchikano was past halfway (55%) edited, WanNyan was fully edited and in image editing, and Sakuramori's image editing was almost finished. We also have an name for Overdrive's Swan Song here, and the name is Musicus in which they'll release it at 2020 later. That's all for Mangagamer's updates here.
This week Sekai released another VN, and the VN in question is Nekonin 3 in that it'll tell the story of three new catgirls in Haruki's (Nekonin's MC) harem. You can play it if you've been Nekonin's fan here, and have fun. I also like to note that currently Sekai like to have the release at the same time with the release from another company, in which it's sort of questionable here. Although I didn't really mind though, as long as it could help them to shaved some of their backlog. Speaking about backlog, currently we have them finally managed to run Tokeijikake in the new engine and right now they managed continuing work on that. For the progress, currently Daybreak was in QA and Morning Mist was in editing. If all goes well, they planned to release Daybreak at year's end (Along with Senren Banka if possible) and Morning Mist at the next year so good for them. Lastly we have Rewrite+ KS launched with the base goal was at 180,000 in which at least it's quite reasonable compared to Dei Gratia here. It's worth to note that Steiner will replace the late Conjueror to translate the rest 33% of Rewrite+ script and the KS was also to fund Harvest Fiesta (The FD) here, so good luck with the KS here (The main game was still redundant though).
From Summer Pocket project, Alka did release Tsumugi's patch in which it did translate both of Shiroha's and Tsumugi's routes so if you've been wanting to play Tsumugi's route go ahead and have fun. Also while I know that KEY will release this overseas, just for reminder here Alka already stated that they'll continuing to work on Summer Pocket until either KEY launch C&D notice in any form or KEY released Summer Pocket before Alka finished their work. For the rest of the update, we have Miotsukushi Omote was at 37% translated, Eustia was at 79.39% translated (Eustia's chapter was at 62.34% translated) along with 53.36% TLC-ed, and currently we have Trip completed Hinata's route translation and overall Ginharu was at 43.87% translated (Keep in mind that this week Trip will be busy with conference, so perhaps he'll have no time to translate Momiji's route at the this week yet). There's also an update from Harugi, in which they're in need of second translator to translate Branch and the rest of the heroines routes, and since there's no much that can be done for the translation they'll focused on editing and QA work on Main (Hopefully they'll find the new translator to help them).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Seeing that this week we have Kemomusu release with the wolf girl as the heroine along with Ciconia release 10 days ago, I decided to parodied both title so I change 'Ciconia' word into 'Wolf' in the translated full title of Ciconia (When the Ciconia Cry) so we have 'When the Ciconia Cry'. By the way I know that the title here is basically the old localized title for both of Umineko and Higurashi here, and let's just hope that Ryuukishi wouldn't make When They Cry 7th part like my VNTS Review title here XD (It's not like I can prevent it anyway if he want to make it later). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week once again there's a number of the releases along with Nekonyan's updates here. So overall what I can say that it's nice to see that we can see a number of released VNs within a month here seeing that we have four weeks with average three releases per week, and let's see what I can write for this week here.
From fan translation we finally have Shin Koihime Musou reaching 31% mark edited, which is quite a big jump here seeing that it's been at 30% edited for months here. We also have Miotsukushi at 33% translated and a sudden progress from Majikoi A-3 in which we have 61 out of 95 scripts are translated, and of course we still have Eustia's update with the current progress here was at 79.05% translated (Eustia's chapter was at 59.85% translated) along with passing 60% mark (62.10%) edited and 53.04% TLC-ed. For usual Ginharu update, currently we have overall Ginharu was at 43.05% translated along with Hinata's route was at 94.52% translated, and apparently Trip will attend the conference at the next week so we probably wouldn't have the progress at the next two weeks here (Or in more simple term we probably wouldn't have Momiji's route translation started until November later). That's all for fan translation updates here.
As for Lilitales, apparently Frontwing wasn't in charge of the publishing anymore seeing that it was released under Kagura Games. In any case it's already released back at 11th, and if you're in mood of playing some HRPG then go ahead and have fun. Speaking about HRPG we have Ninetails announced the exact release date for Frontier, and the release date for that will be at December 20th later. We also have one news from JAST, in which Flowers Autumn was in QA so perhaps we may it's release at this year if all goes well, but then again it's JAST so perhaps we may wouldn't be able to see the release at this year. Just in case you're in need of some nukige, there's Magical MILF nukige VN from Cherry Kiss in which they announced that they'll release it at 22nd later. While I did say that I want to see more magical girl VNs being translated, unfortunately the breast here is too big so I'll just pass on this (You may be happy though if you like big breasts). Lastly there's NG from Aksys Games, and you may try it if you've been wanting some mystery VN here so have fun if you pick it.
Currently we have Lamunation was in Steam review, which mean that all of the translation work of that is already over and all that left is the release so good luck to Lamunation Steam review there. From Nekonyan we have Senren Banka delay here, which to say was not surprising to me at all seeing that they've still at at 45% translated according to the last month update here and yet the estimation release is at October. In any case, at least they admit that they've been overconfidence here and therefore they decided to set the estimation release at December later, which to say is quite surprising here seeing that currently it's just past halfway (55%) translated and edited. But if they already prepare some measure to make it happen, perhaps it might be possible here so good luck with that. Other than Senren Banka update, we have Makeover was at 86% translated along with 71% edited, Hello Lady was at 90% translated along with 80% edited, 2nd secret project was at 35% translated and 30% edited, 3rd secret project was at 15% translated and 5% edited, and the first secret project was planned for early 2020 release.
For bigger releases we have both of Amatarasu and Kemomusu, in which it's from Mangagamer and Sekai respectively. Both are charage, although as for Amatarasu here it have five routes along with three side routes while Kemomusu here is only a kinetic VN here. As for the premise here, in Amatarasu the MC (Takaya) will have to deal with the sudden arrival of several female that was happened at the same time when a shooting star crashed, while in Kemomusu here we have the MC (Shuuji) was find a wolfgirl who actually a human female that was stranded into spirit world for 10 years and somehow manage to grow a wolf ears and tail. There's also a comparison of sex scenes number, in which we'll have 31 sex scenes in Amatarasu (Make sense seeing that the company is a branch for nukige producer Softhouse-seal, and 31 scenes here would be quite a lot for a medium length so-called charage VN) while for Kemomusu it's only five scenes here. In any case, both of VN should be interesting here so perhaps you should try those two and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Don't worry if you're Shokugeki no Souma fans because I wouldn't talk on how messy the final arc of that manga is, but instead I'll talk about this week VNTS Review. Also Asahi here is not refer to that character in Shokugeki no Souma, but instead it's the name of one of the little sister heroine back at Onikiss that was released two weeks ago. So for this week VNTS Review I parodied the old VN Kana Imouto by using the literal translation of the title (Kana Little Sister), and of course I changed 'Kana' into 'Asahi' (If you want to play Asahi Little Sister VN then play Onikiss and enter Asahi's route there). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and like last two consecutive previous weeks this week we also have several releases although to me it's not that interesting though. Other than releases, we also have some updates as usual and more importantly we have Tsurezure resumed their update on Ginharu. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
First of all JAST announced that their Majikoi released was delayed, which honestly is very predictable seeing that it's already past summer and yet there's still no sign for the release. And not to mention that they still need to deal with removal of some voices, so perhaps they did need more time to prepare it (Well Majikoi is a redundant one anyway). Speaking about predictable update, we have Sekai hold Rewrite+ translation for a very obvious reason in that the translator (Conjueror) was passed away and therefore they need to search for the new translator. For other update from Sekai we have Baldr Sky waiting the build from Valve (Can we get the words from Sekai about 18+ contents later?), Nekonin 3 new build was in review by Valve, Bokukotsu FD was fully translated and currently in editing, and finally we have release date for Kemomusu in which it'll at 11th later.
From fan translation section, we have another release in which it's another work from Zakamutt. The work in question is Tatakareta Hae or in English it's translated as Like a swatted fly, and the premise is apparently about a politician that have a lot of prejudice towards LGBT who will rape the nurse because he think that the nurse is lesbian (The genre is nukige by the way). What I can say is that I wouldn't play this VN, but if you like to play a nukige and didn't mind about politician colorful rambling towards LGBT then go ahead and try it. For Tsurezure's update after a week of absence, currently we have Ginharu's overall was at 42.34% translated with Hinata's route was at 89.74% translated. For the rest of the update, we have Amagami was at 86.2% edited (Quite a lot of progress there), Miotsukushi Omote was at 29% translated, and Eustia was at 78.09% translated (Eustia's chapter was past halfway (52.90%) translated) along with 59.69% edited and 52.90% TLC-ed.
Mangagamer did announce that they'll re-release ef at Steam later (At 17th), which to say was redundant to me here. While granted that it mean that Steam user can finally purchase it more cheaply seeing that the older ef was at US$60 for both parts, it's not quite worth the hype as the special announcement that minori fans wanted seeing that they probably expect some interesting announcement such as the continuation of Supipara (Well I guess there's no much that they can do on Supipara seeing that minori already cease their operation). We also have Ciconia release, in which it have simultaneous release for both of Japanese and English version. While the premise was looks promising with war and all, unfortunately it's still not finished VN because Ryukishi did intend this as the fifth When They Cry series and we knew on how it need eight arcs to complete the stories (ie Higurashi and Umineko). Of course Ciconia here is not an exception seeing that it already confirmed that it'll have three arcs (ie phases) more, and even then it would still mean that there'll be the second half with dour phases (If Ryukishi keep his writing pattern for When They Cry). But if you already interested and want to try it immediately, then go ahead and have fun.
We also have Lemnisca announced Dei Gratia Kickstarter, and from the amount that they intended as the base goal (At US$ 57,000) I would say that it would be a very uphill battle seeing that the base goal was quite high for a lesser known doujin VN. Still anything can be happen when it come with Kickstarter, so hopefully Lemnisca will be successful with the Kickstarter and good luck to them. For the release, we have YU-NO remake which to be fair was not quite a redundant one seeing that the new player probably prefer the new graphic and at least it look refreshing. But still I can see on why some people prefer the older graphic, in that it have to do with nostalgia here. So yeah since I prefer old graphic a bit, to me the release is redundant one and also it's censored as well although to be fair it was released at console first though (ie PS4 in which it's Sony's console, and we know on how recently Sony tightening the censorship). But still it have some improvement though, such as the obvious updated graphic and a new hint that will appear in the gameplay although it's more or less still the same though. Anyway you can get YU-NO remake on either Steam or console version (PS4 and Switch), and have fun if you've been playing that.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
To clarify this week review is obviously will not reviewing this animation company, but rather it's just that I change the word 'Star' to the 'Sky' from Kaleido Star anime. The reason is because Kaleido Star is a circus anime, and that we have Aokana release in which it have Flying Circus term along with sky as the motif for the VN itself (Well it have flying shoes in the setting after all). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week the biggest news here should be obviously Aokana release. While our main release focus here is Aokana, we also have three other releases as well so overall this week is a lively one. Before going to the VNTS Review we also have Dei Gratia KS started along with YU-NO released, although for those two updates I'll comment more at next VNTS Review. Let's see what I can write for this week, and sorry for being late here.
Because Mangagamer finally manage to resolve their payment processor, they managed to released Hashihime which admittedly quite a good VN if we looking only from the premise alone. As for the premise, there'll be a murder ongoing in the alternate history of Taisho era and that the MC must solve it although it wouldn't be easy though seeing that there's time loop ongoing. While it's usually would be very interesting, it's too bad that it's a BL VN which to say quite a niche. Still if you didn't mind BL romance and want to get an interesting mystery VN you can get it from Mangagamer store, and have fun playing that. Also since Mangagamer released Hashihime, of course as usual Mangagamer announced their next release and in this case it's Maggot Bait in which it'll be released at 24th later. You may note the date if you've been interested with the twisted VN since the announcement. We also have some updates from Mangagamer, in which we have WanNyan was at 95% edited, Sukehime was at 64% edited, Magic and Slash was at 89% edited, and Uchikano was at 47% edited. I guess that's all for Mangagamer here.
Well turned out that Trip took a rest at this week, so we didn't have Ginharu update here but instead this week he announce that he'd add the new member to their team. Of course we'll going to have the update at the next week though, so you didn't need to worry for now. Other than that, we have Eustia was at 77.06% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 45.46% translated) along with 57.22% translated and past halfway (51.34%) TLC-ed, Miotsukushi Omote was at 28% translated, and the work on Yosuga no Sora still ongoing although there's no translation work on Motoka's route yet though because the team still doing TLC and editing for the previous translation. We also have Visual Arts announced their plan to released Summer Pocket at this year (They already fully translated it apparently), which to say may have some intention to stop the fan translation. Still if Visual Arts want to release Summer Pocket at this year, then I'll say that hopefully they'll be able to fulfill their promise seeing that Alka Translation already stated that they didn't have any problem with it. We also have Seven Days preparing for Golden Master, so perhaps we'll see it's release in the very near future.
I think this is one instance that Sol Press managed to have early release from the planned release date, so good for them. The release in question is Onikiss, in which it's more or less a nukige that was focused on the little sister. The premise is that a nameless siscon MC that always have a problem to study thanks to his four cute blood related brocon little sisters, so the nameless mom decided to separate him from the sisters only to be fail. As the result, the mom decided to make a rule in which whoever have the most kiss for a day will have the right to visit the MC at night. While it mean that the MC need to chose one of the four sister, it's not like that it's impossible to get all four sisters if you want to. What I can say is that the design of the sister is more nice looking compared to Imopara one, we can chose to do either kissing minigame or just usual choice, and that we can see the sister's PoV in the replay mode in which it'll be a lot seeing that it's nukige and all (At least there'll be 30 sex scenes). Go get Onikiss from Sol Press store if you'd interested, and have fun.
I guess I should praise Sekai for finally managed to be able to release Nanairo after several QAs, although the release date for that is at the same time as Aokana though which mean it'd easily overshadowed. But before going to the release we have Sekai prepared the release date for Nekonin 3, and Sanarara R was already started the editing and programming progress. For Nanairo's premise, we have our university student Makoto going back to his grandpa house and get greeted by his unchanging childhood friend. Turned out that the childhood friend is zashiki warashi, and Makoto also greeted by a mature woman who also turned out to be a demon. Long story short turned out that Makoto's grandpa also have supernatural power and Makoto inherit the power, so the demon appoint him as the spirit detective who tasked to protect the city from whatever supernatural happening that was happen in the city. Go get Nanairo from either Denpasoft or Steam and have fun, and yeah I've been interested with this since AX 2017.
As for Aokana, well there's a lot of history in that it's Ren's project in the past. At first it looks successful with him almost completed the translation, only to have him accidentally deleted the translation scripts and make a brilliant action by threw a tantrum for an inexplicable reason several months later. Fast forward to August 2018 and finally we can have this translated, and before the release they decided to have a KS which in turn prove to be a major success by gathering 11 times of the original goal. For the premise, we have Masaya (The MC) who have some traumatic past in that he dropped his successful Flying Circus career because of a reason, and nowadays he avoiding to fly. At least until he met Asuka who almost late for the school, and seeing no choice Masaya decided to have her flying together. From there one way or another Masaya find that his calling to train Asuka seeing that she have a lot of talent as Flying Circus athlete, and slowly have him confronting his traumatic past. Go get Aokana from one of many available stores (Either Mangagamer, Steam, Denpasoft, JAST, Nutaku, or either Nekonyan's own store), and have fun.
I guess that's all for this week VNTS Review, and once again sorry for being late here. See you next week.
Seeing that we finally have Haretaka released (Yay) for this week I decided to parodied one of Fushigi Yuugi spin-off shoujo manga and the manga in question is Byakko Senki, and of course I change 'Byakko' into 'rocket'. As for the reason, it's simply because the other name of Haretaka is Byakko and also the name of the club that the MC attend with the focus on rocket crafting (That's why it have 'rocket' word). Also for more info, Byakko here is one of The Four Gods in which it's very prominent setting in Fushigi Yuugi franchise, so it's too bad that we didn't see the rest of the Four Gods (Seiryu, Suzaku, and Genbu) as the club name in Haretaka. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review in which the biggest news here is that we finally have Mangagamer resolved their payment processor so that we can have Haretaka released, along with Somnium release and a major updates in Yosuga no Sora. Overall I can say that this week is more lively thanks to the releases here, and let's see what I can write for this week as well.
Well this is quite surprising that Sekai managed to release Nanairo at 27th later, although so far there's still no info on their tweet yet. In any case while I obviously welcomed that news, the release date is obviously on the same day as Aokana so perhaps Nanairo would be overshadowed for the obvious reason here. If anything at least we'll going to have another busy week here, so I'm content with it. Speaking about surprising release date, we have Sol Press moved up Onikiss release date from 27th to tomorrow so we'll going to have Onikiss released later which to say was quite nice of Sol press seeing that almost all of their release suffered delay. We also have some updates from Sol Press, in that we have Nukitashi was at 45% trasnalted along with 5% edited, Himawari to Kioku was past halfway (54%) translated along with 22% edited, Sakura Celebration was at 22% translated along with 2% translated, and Irotoridori was at 30% translated (The last update is from Sol Press CEO Xeviax's interview, which to say quite an unique way to put the update of their biggest announcement). Almost forget that we also have GOLD was at 30% translated as well, so at least it's good that JAST worked on one of their interesting announcement here.
From Cherry Kiss we have yet another nukige release, which to say was not my interest here but if you like to play a nukige where you treat your aunt and your tsundere cousin as the pet (In this case the dogs) then go get the game and have fun. As for Ouka Sabaki, Hobibox did released the early access and turned out that this time they managed to improve their traslation compared to Your Diary, although too bad that it's still incomplete because they only released the first three chapters. While Hobibox here have another reason for partial release here (Outside to get the feedback from the reader), I just want to say that it's too bad that Hobibox here didn't as confident as back when they'd release Your Diary so we need to wait if you want the full version of Ouka Sabaki here. Lastly we have Spike Chunsoft released Somnium for PS4 and PC (At Steam obviously), and as for Somnium itself it's Uchikoshi's game in which it tell the story about a detective with artificial eye that allowed him to investigate the case more efficiently, and one day he got the task to investigate a serial killing case. Well I don't know much of that other than it''ll have sci fi seeing that it's Uchikoshi and all, so go get the game if you interested and have fun.
Fan Translation
The biggest update from this section here should be Yosuga no Sora, in which we finally can see the beginning of the end for the project because it's almost completely translated with the current progress at 97.09% translated with Akira's route was fully translated and Motoka's route was at 81.68% translated. We also have the team released the patch in which it's obviously fully translated all of the routes except Motoka's, so if you've been waiting for eight years here perhaps you can start play it. That said, the translator stated that they'll still need some time to trimming Akira's route seeing that seven people worked on her route so it's bound to have some different translation style and thus less consistency in regard of translation, so we need to wait for a while before they continuing to work on Motoka's route here. By the way if you want to say hello to the team, you can visit their Discord and here's the invite link to their Discord.
Other than Yosuga no Sora update, we also have Eustia was at 76.79% translated (Eustia's chapter was at 43.48% translated) along with 56.03% edited and 49.73% TLC-ed, Summer Pocket was past halfway (50.21%) translated with Tsumugi's route was fully translated, Pure Pure was at 93.36% translated with Tobaris route was at 98.15% translated (Keep in mind that both of those are still roughly translated), and Ginharu was at 40.74% translated with Hinata's route was at 79.97% translated (Trip did say that he want to take a break for cooling down, so perhaps we wouldn't have Ginharu progress at the next week here). There's a release for fan translation section here, but unfortunately it's not as big as Yosuga no Sora update to me seeing that it's just a short otome VN that was translated to allow the team to practicing their skill. That said, somebody may interested with the release here especially if you like some short otome VN with tsundere hero along with pervert female MC, so go get the patch and have fun.
Mangagamer
The first news that we should know is that finally Mangagamer resolved their payment processor problem after more than two months being busted, which mean now you can buy their game at their own website. For now I can only say that hopefully they didn't get the setback like that again, seeing that it's quite suck to see several releases delayed. Speaking about releases we have two releases from Mangagamer in order to compensate the busted payment processor problem, and those two releases are (Redundant) Sengoku Rance and Haretaka. We also have Mangagamer announced their next release as usual, and in this case it's Amatarasu in which they already set the date at October 10th later. As for Sengoku's release I can still say that the release is redundant, although if anything at least it's only ~700 MB which could be good if you've somehow already filled almost all of your HDD space with 1 GB space left and suddenly have an urge to play Sengoku Rance (The older version size is at ~3GB for comparison). Or if you prefer Arunaru's translation choice, which could be charming in it's own way. In any case, if you still want to get it from Mangagamer then feel free to do so and have fun.
The biggest release from them is Haretaka, in which I've been waiting ever since I know that Haretaka here is the award winning VN from back at 2014. At first I did think that it might be impossible for Mangagamer to localized it seeing that Chuuablesoft was bankrupt, but turned out that I was wrong because they managed to announce Haretaka back at Otakon 2018. After that, I only remember that the work on that was going smoothly at least until before the release when suddenly Mangagamer have their processor busted which to say was suck because it's caused Haretaka release to be delayed (It supposed to be released back at August 15th). In any case the premise is about a bunch of high school students was have a goal to build the rocket a s big as possible, which is possible in the VN because the government was give a full support for that. Our MC here (Otoya) is a so called idiot who attend the normal course in the high school (The school setting is that there's normal course and rocket course), and one day he met with a tsundere red haired girl Arisa who like to build the rocket. From there, both of Otoya and Arisa tried to fulfill their dream to build the rocket and they'll face many trial before they finally successful. Go get Haretaka from Mangagamer and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - Lemnisca will launch their Kickstarter for Dei Gratia at 30th later here, and they already have Prefundia page for that. For now I can only say that 50,000 base goal is a bit too much, so hopefully Lemnisca have a way to ensure the successful KS later.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title seeing that we have Aokana exact release date announcement along with the plan to localize the VN about alternate history in regard of Magistrate, I decided to combined both of the VN into 'The Blue Magistrate' as this week VNTS title (TL notes: Ao mean blue). As for this week, while we didn't have major release (Except for Asagi Zero) this week we have a lot of updates from both of Mangagamer and Nekonyan. While the latter is more prominent seeing that we have Aokana release date announcement from them, we shouldn't forget that apparently Mangagamer already find a way to resolve their payment processor problem. Other than that, there's still some fan translation updates as usual along with some updates from Sekai. So overall I can say that this week is at least more lively compared to the last two weeks thanks to the updates, and let's see what I can write for this week as well.
As for Magistrate VN, the graphic is admittedly quite nice to see along with the fact that they story remind us of Ace Attorney. Although the company behind the localization (Hobibox) was quite doubtful here, especially if we remember that their experience is basically translate Your Diary, which basically was quite a bad one. As for the releases, apparently they'll release three chapters (Out of four chapters) first at tomorrow (17th) in order to see the feedback from the reader and after that they'll release the full version with improved translation or something like that. They'll also planned to sell the post story content that was inappropriate for all age release separately, in which it's basically mean that they'll sell the sex scenes separately just like Your Diary (Just treat it as DLC I suppose). What I can say is that it would be better if Hobibox was released all of four chapters, and of course they should make the translation is far better compared to Your Diary (I really hope that they'll do it at the very least). In any case, let's see the release tomorrow even though Hobibox here not quite confident with their translation.
From fan translation here once again we have Taimainin Asagi Zero release by Rattanman which to say was not the one that I keep my eyes on seeing that it's a dark nukige and all, but at least it should be the good news for Asagi's fan after seeing Valve going tantrum by deleting the store page for the main game for some questionable reason (For the reminder the reason is not because Asagi have a lot of rape, but rather because there's a high school student in a VN with a lot of rape). For the usual updates, we have both of Eustia and Ginharu updates here. For Eustia, currently it was at 76.35% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 40.32% translated (And currently it passed 50,000 lines translated mark), and we also have the editing ongoing with the current progress was at 53.88% edited. For Ginharu seeing that both Trip and Irru are quite busy we didn't have much progress like last week, although at least it's still good enough with Hinata's route was at 68.46% translated and overall Ginharu was at 39.17% translated. That's all for this week fan translation updates.
As for Mangagamer, while we may still have some doubt in that whether they already fix their payment processor or not, the fact that they post 4-koma Haretaka at their blog seems convincing enough that they already fixed it. We also have that they announced Hashihime exact release date, and it'll be at 26th later (While the premise is admittedly good, it's still a BL VN though so not my interest here). Other than the release announcement, we also have them finalized the release build for three of their VNs (Amatarasu, Imopara 3, and Funbag 2) so perhaps we may see those three VNs in testing at the near future. For the rest of the update, we have Mugen Renkan fully translated and edited, Magic and Slash was at 83.5% edited, Sona-Nyl was at 30% edited, Uchikano was at 37% edited, and WanNyan was at 90% edited. For Sekai, well we only have Nekonin 3 was in QA (I just hope that it didn't need multiple QAs like Nanairo) and Bokukotsu FD was at 60% translated. Almost forget that we have release date for NG, in which Aksys have the release date for Steam version at October 10th later.
For Nekonyan their biggest announcement is obviously Aokana release date announcement, but before that let's see their updates as well. For the update we have the second secret project was at 30% translated along with a quarter edited, the third secret project was at 10% translated, Senren Banka was at 45% translated and edited, Hello Lady was at 85% translated along with 70% edited, Aokana was obviously fully edited, and Makeover was at 65% translated and edited. We also will have a word from them in regard of Senren Banka, so let's wait for them in regard of that even though we can more or less predict the word here. As for their secret project, while obviously there's still no word about that safe to said that it's possible that it might be Riddle Joker seeing that they used one of SD CG from there at their tweet and as we recall Nekonyan would use the picture from their licensed VN at their tweets, although to make sure that it's their announcement let's wait and see until Nekonyan reveal their secret projects later.
As for Aokana's release date, it'll be at 27th later so you may note the date if you want to get it from one of the stores that sell Aokana (JAST, Mangagamer, Denpasoft, Fakku, Nutaku, Steam, and Nekonyan's own store). For more detail, they'll also add Misaki's sex scenes from Perfect edition as DLC later with the price at US$5 in order to cover up the license cost which apparently was quite expensive. In any case, let's look forward at 27th later in which we finally have Aokana's curse being broken if all goes well.
Thta's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title seeing that we already have Bethly's route fully translated I decided to use another Kanon 2006 episode title (Episode 19 (The Étude of Contact) to be exact), and I'll tell the reason at PS later. As for this week, to be honest is a very dry one seeing that we only have Eustia and Ginharu updates for more notable updates. Regardless of that, let's see what I can write for this week as well.
We shouldn't be surprised that JAST here didn't really managed to release Majikoi by the end of August seeing that they still need to deal with the voice problem, although to be fair they didn't really said that they'll release it in August though. In any case, if you want to get Majikoi from JAST let's just hope that they'll be able to release it within this year (If possible). Other than Majikoi, apparently one of Fakku's eroge (Oral Lesson with Chii-chan) was probably will be delayed seeing that they still didn't release it when summer is already ended at August (Granted that it's still like summer at September here, but I always associate summer's end at August's end).
From Seven Days, seeing that turned out the late Conjueror was the one who in charge of Seven Days obviously Fruitbat change the translator, and our Steiner here who is also late Conjueror's colleague is the one who in charge of the translation (I wonder if Sekai will recruit Steiner to finish Rewrite retranslation here). And since late Conjueror already finished with the main story, Steiner here will translate the side story. We also have Nekonyan only need to wait for 218 people to fill Aokana Backerkit survey, and I'll just assume that Nekonyan here already ready with Aokana stuffs. Also they still firm that they'll manage to release Aokana at this month's (September) end, so let's see it later.
We also have a release of this VN at this week, although it's an isekai nukige though (Which is more common compared to normal isekai VNs). The premise is pretty much usual isekai story, with our MC was sent to isekai through the accident and then the MC start a restaurant with his ability. Some time later, our MC met a slave trader and after see two demihuman (Catgirl and doggirl) become slaves the MC decided to rescue them and hire them as the waitresses. What follow after that is obviously some sex scenes, and that the two girls got along quite well. Go get the VN from Cherry Kiss games if you want some isekai nukige VN, and have fun. Speaking about release, while granted Frontwing still need to deal with the result of Valve's tantrum so that they still didn't have Steam version, right now they already released Loca Love 2 in physical version and that version also have the English text, so instead of Steam you can get the physical edition here and have fun. I guess it's good that turned out FW didn't really need to delay Loca Love 2 release here, which is very nice seeing that we see too many release delay at August here.
From fan translation here, we only have the updates from both of Eustia and Ginharu which is good enough. For Eustia here, currently we have Eustia's chapter was at 34.22% translated with overall was past three quarter (75.51%) translated along with 52.75% edited. For Ginharu here, currently we have Trip was translated 43.51% of Hinata's route and currently we have overall Ginharu was at 35.45% translated. Still no Bethly's patch though seeing that Irru is very busy here, but hopefully we can have it in the near future if possible. By the way Ginharu line count here is higher compared to Hoshiori, in which we have Hinata as the shortest route with 29,230 lines (For comparison the second longest route in Hoshiori (Touko's) did have the line count was very slightly above Hinata's). I guess that's all for fan translation here.
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
PS - Once again the title was based on Kanon 2006 episode 19 title, although in this case I change it to reflect Bethly (The foreigner) who have a setting that she can't speak Japanese and thus learn the language. By the way, étude here is an instrumental musical composition that was intended to provided practice material or in French language it mean study, so it's quite fitting for Bethly's route here. The 'Track 2' part here is obviously mean that this is the second big update for Ginharu here (Even with Bethly's route already fully translated for a while), and yeah the 'Silver Colored Faraway' part here is intended as an album name.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week of course our focus here would be obviously Ginharu, in which it's a very nice surprise from Tsurezure when they decided to translate it along with the fact that they already released common route patch. Although other than Ginharu we also have some interesting updates, such as Summer Pocket official localization by KEY along with some updates from both of Sol Press and Mangagamer. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
While granted that I should already see this coming, it's still too bad that Sekai once again need to delay Nanairo release because apparently they need to do the final QA here (How many times they need to do the QA for Nanairo before the release?). Speaking about QA, apparently they already finished with Kemomusu QA so nowadays they planned the release date for that and that they'll start the QA for Nekonin 3 in the near future. We also have them waiting a build for Nekogami, and in case you wait for the continuation of Nekopara you need to wait until 2020 because currently Sekai was developing Nekopara 4. From Sol Press we have Nukitashi was at 35% translated (Good luck for November 22nd release I guess), Onikiss was in QA, and Himawari no Kioku was at 40% translated along with 7% edited. From Nekonyan we have them currently they work hard on the QA along with implementing the new feature, so hopefully we can have it released by September's end.
Before going to Mangagamer's update currently they have massive problem with their payment processor, and perhaps the problem is because that the processor did suddenly have a problem with Mangagamer selling 18+ VNs and decided to stop the service. I don't know if it's true or not seeing that it's mostly just my speculation and therefore I didn't have proof for that, but the fact that Mangagamer need to removed their 18+ VNs from their front page in order to fix the processor problem should at least tell us that it might be possible. In any case, unless they want to delay their (Redundant) Sengoku Rance release, their deadline to fix the payment problem should be before September 12th. As for the updates, we have Maggot Bait release build is ready (Which to say is very useless considering Mangagamer's current situation), Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was finalizing release build, 02 was fully translated, Magic and Slash was at 71% edited, Mugen Renkan was at 95% translated along with 80% edited, image editing for Rance Quest was completed, Sona Nyl was at a quarter edited, WanNyan was at three quarter edited, and Uchikano was fully translated along with 24% edited. That's all for Mangagamer's update.
We have Ishu Aigan in which it'll teach us on how it's really possible for a woman to have sex with amphibian, which to say could be quite an intereting experience if you like some out of the box nukige (Otherwise just skip it). We also currently have Eustia was at almost three quarter (74.98%) translated along with 52.42% edited, Miotsukushi Omote was at 17% translated, and Summer Pocket was at 42.98% translated with Tsumugi's and Ao's route show some significant progress. Speaking about Summer Pocket I know that KEY announce their plan to localize it, but since Alka still insist to continuing on this for now I'll just keep a note on the official localization announcement and wait until KEY make a move on that.
The biggest announcement from fan translation here is definitely Ginharu translation project, in which once again Tsurezure will take care of that. For current progress, right now we Common and Bethly's route was fully translated along with Hinata's route was at 24.07% translated and overall it was at 32.56% translated. I don't know on how much Bethly's route percentage from the overall script, but at least it should be quite a number seeing that Bethly's route here is the second longest route after Mizuha (And apparently Bethly's route was even longer compared to Rikka's route which is the longest route in Hoshiori). We also slready have the translation order, so after Hinata's route finished we'll going to have Momiji's route translated, following by Yuzuki and finally Mizuha. Speaking about Mizuha, her route here is the longest one and it should be no surprise that Rikka's route writer was also wrote Mizuha's route. Since Mizuha's route will be translated last, like previous Tsurezure's work I'll call Ginharu full patch as Mizuha's patch. For the last word here good luck to Tsurezure in regard of translating Ginharu there.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - Since we have Ginharu translation project started and that Ginharu here is more or less resembled Kanon in regard of the motif (Winter), I decided to adapt the episode title from Kanon 2006 whenever we have a work for one route started. Since we already have common route for Ginharu released, the title for this week would be 'Introit in Hololo City' in which it was taken from Kanon episode 2 (Introit in the Snow). For the info 'introit' it mean 'part of the opening of the liturgical celebrations' and 'Hololo' here is the place setting for Ginharu, and it's quite fitting seeing that the common route here is more or less is Ginharu's opening part. For 'Silver Colored Faraway' part it's more or less a very literal translation on Gin'iro Haruka, and for 'Track' part it's based on Kanon episode title that have musical theme (Track here is mean one of the songs from an album).
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and perhaps Decay was a bit busy at this week so didn't have VNTS at the main page. As for the title, seeing that we have Majokoi and Date A Live VN releases back at last week I simply combined both title so we have 'Date A Witch' as this week review which is quite fitting for Majokoi to a degree, expect Majokoi's MC here is more forward compared to Date A Live MC and quite a player as well (At least he's at the suitable age compared to Marriage's Yuuta). As for this week, well it's quite calm after the Otakon announcements here which once again is earlier than usual (Normally I would like look forward to the announcements at around this date). That sad, we have Photonflower release so if Muv Luv hardcore fan want to see something nice such as Sumika in bikini then they can get it, otherwise we better wait for some other releases in the near future. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week updates here.
From fan translation, we have Eustia was at 73.90% translated with Eustia's chapter was finally reach 20% (22.53%) translated, Watamasu was at 94% translated, Loverable was at 69.09% edited (Nice number there), and Miotsukushi Omote was at 5% translated. There's also a new project with the goal to translated and add the sex scenes to Noraneko which as we know was censored thanks to some brilliant decision from Harukaze (Or just afraid that Steam would randomly shot down Noraneko if Harukaze add the 18+ patch), and currently they in need some translator so hopefully the project can get some of those and hopefully start the translation progress. By the way in regard of Noraneko censorship, I'll put my blame on Harukaze there instead of Fruitbat seeing that the latter was announced to do the publishing after Harukaze announce their brilliant decision to censor the overseas release (Probably learnt about that shenanigan from Pulltop). No much word for now other than good luck to the project.
From Sekai we have Zombe VN 2 release date was confirmed at 12th later, so you may note the date if you interested with it. We also have Harukuru waiting for the engine work, Nine 2 waiting for Steam review, and Kemomusu already finished the QA while at the same time waiting for the Steam review. We also have Island Diary was fully translated, and Nekogami was both fully translated and edited. Other than that, I'm quite concerned with Nanairo here seeing that they might now know whether they already doing the final build check or not, so perhaps we better expect Nanairo release would be delayed again until Sekai ready to do it.
From Sol Press we have Himawari no Kioku was at 28% translated along with 5% edited, Nukitashi was at 26% translated, Kimiaogi was implementing the QA, and Onikiss QA was awaiting some tech work before doing that. Still no update from other projects (Especially Windmill's VNs), but they assure us that those other projects are being worked on so there's that. We also have the programming work for Lamunation is ongoing, although seeing that the it's already past Q2 obviously the release was once again delayed, although there's a chance that they may pull it at Q3 later (Should be in September's end at most). For the last update, we have KS for Aokana physical copy was reaching massive success, and by massive I mean Nekonyan managed to gather 13 times of the base goal at 130,766 euro gathered (Granted that the base goal was only at 10,000 euro, but still it's quite a massive funds). As for the release date estimation, still no idea seeing that they didn't talk about that at the last update although they made the estimated delivery for the digital copy at this August so perhaps we may see some update from them at this month.
Thta's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being the shorter one. See you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (07/28/2019)
It's good to see that we managed to have VNTS again (Hopefully Decay can keep it up). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title it should be obvious where it came from although I'll explain it at PS later. Rest assure that this is not because Winged Cloud decided to suddenly released yet another Sakura VN. As for this week, I like that we have some very interesting updates from both of Mangagamer's Otakon announcements (I think you might be more interested with their Otakon's announcements instead of AX) and the releases. Let's see what I can write for this week in regard of the updates along with the Otakon as well.
As for fan translation itself while more or less it's still just usual updates with the most prominent one is Eustia's update, we also have a surprise release for this week. For the updates, we have 4,923 lines of Pure x Connect are edited, Loverable was at 68.83% edited, and Eustia was at 73.28% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 18.05% translated. We also have the update from Monster Girl Quest Paradox translation project, and apparently they more or less already finished translating the whole VN although they still need some time to do clean up the translation though so we need to wait for full patch release (You can view the progress here). For the surprise release at this week we have Sono Hanabira (Sonohana) 12 release back at 24th, in which is the continuation of Risa x Miya story after Sonohana 11. Although unlike 11 we wouldn't have all stars couple though, so it's just Risa x Miya story there and at least we didn't need to wait for Mangagamer to announce Sonohana 12 because obviously it's already translated. By the way for the reminder here Sonohana is the series of GL VNs, and with this now we have 14 translated Sonohana VNs (Including New Generation and Deatta).
Other
As for Date A Live, recently I do some research about it and the artist also work in Neptunia so it's normal if you find some resemblance between Date A Live and Neptunia arts. The premise is obviously very different in that instead of having a female personification of console, we'll gong to have a male MC to date a spirit in order to prevent the world from destruction. While granted the premise is quite absurd at the first glance, actually the world building in the series is quite interesting and that the spirits here is not really a traditional spirits. And the formula is proven to be well received so much that it got many adaptation, with on of those is the anime in which the season 3 of that was infamously badly animated by JC Staffs. As for the VN itself, well apparently most of those are sort of alternative scenarios from what happen in the light novel canon seeing that it also introduced several new heroines as well. Other than that, I just know that it'll be a pure VN compared to Neptunia and obviously wouldn't have sex scenes (Duh) seeing that it's a port from the console. You can get Date A Live VN at Steam if you've been a hardcore fans of Date A Live and want to try the VN version, and have fun.
We also have two nukige releases here, and both of those will obviously have a lot of sex scenes. I know that Sonohana is also technically a nukige, but compared to those two I think Sonohana here is more tamer. For the premises one of those will have love triangle with twin sister of childhood friends at summer, and another one is Love Cube in which it's telling us on how a male MC will have a harem life with three big breast female who work on hentai manga (At least the childhood friend one is look normal). No much comment other than it's obviously very exciting if we talk about it visually wise, and that Love Cube here is from the same company group as Nekopara so you may feel familiar with Love Cube's interface if you've been play Nekopara. You can get those two nukige if you've been interested with it, and have fun. Almost forget to inform that Photonflower released was delayed to August 3rd, so you need to wait for a while if you've been looking forward into it.
Sekai Project
Release wise Sekai here is have a big one at this week back at Friday (26th), but beforehand they also announced that they already prepared the release estimation for Zombie VN part 2. Some source did say that it'll be released at August 12th, although I wouldn't be sure about that until the release though. In any case, at least it's good that Sekai cleared two of their a lot of VN backlog here and perhaps we'll really get Nanairo release date in the very near future.
As for the release from Sekai, it's obviously Majokoi in which it's been in the translation for three years since back at 2016. Back then it was hosted at Luna Translation when one of our member (Aizen) did create that site in order to host the VNs translation projects, and one of those projects was Majokoi. As far as translation goes in three years, there's no much to talk other than it's going smoothly until the editing and QC process was finished and back at 2018 Sekai decided to license this as well, which is not as surprising back when Saku Saku was announced by them. As for the premise, we have our cute Decoy MC Alice (Another Alice Allusion) who find a mysterious diary that depict the real MC (Takumi) sex activities, and some of Takumi's partner is the woman that Alice met in her real life. Curious, Alice decided to investigate more about the diary which might contain some unexpected truth. Majokoi here is also mark the first Niijima Yuu VN that was being fully translated, so you may cry at some points in Majokoi later seeing that Niijima was famous for his nakige writing. Go get Majokoi at either Steam or Denpasoft store, and have fun.
Mangagamer
From Mangagamer announcements, turn out that my prediction is right in that all of their announcements is the last three of their secret projects and that all of those are from their available partners. Other than that, they also announced their next releases (Three of that) which they couldn't announced back at Minagoroshi release because of their payment processor problem. As for the first release announcements, it's Sengoku Rance at September 12th which is a redundant release to me. The second release announcements is Ciconia, in that Ryuukishi will obviously release the first part of that and for the release date it'll be at October 4th in that it'll be at the same time with Japanese release. The last but definitely not the least release announcements is Haretaka, in which finally was about to be released at August 15th later. Good luck for Haretaka release later.
As for Uchikano, what I can say is that the premise is resembled Kanojo no Seiiki only that instead of Eri Sendai in Uchikano we have Yuina voicing the heroine here. To be more serious here both of Seiiki and Uchi trilogies premises is very similar with the MC live together with one heroine for each chapter, with the last chapter of the trilogies the MCs will have two heroines to content at the respective trilogy. Although both trilogies are already around before Loca Love, it's normal if we recognize Loca Love first because Loca Love is the first localized VN that introduce the concept of serial VNs with one heroine per chapter (I might be wrong on this). By the way Argonauts here is the branch brand for Moonstone, so it's still counted as Moonstone VN to a degree. Like I said beforehand, Uchikano here is one of the secret project and in this case it's 9th secret project with current progress was at 77% translated.
We also have new gameplay VN announcement from Mangagamer at this Otakon, and it's Magic and Slash from Luna Soft. It's also quite an unique one seeing that it got female MC, and more importantly it's an action RPG which is rare in the VN. As for the premise, we have our MC cowardly Lille who talented in both of sword and magic thanks to her parents bloodline. One day her mentor Tanya got a request to investigate the problem that happen in Tanya's village, but instead of Tanya taking care of the problem she tell Lille to take care of it while Tanya herself is lazing around in the village. Seeing no choice, Lille decided to steel herself in order to investigate the problem and eventually take care of it. Other than this VN is being action RPG VN, we'll also going to have Lille getting raped by the monsters when she defeated so hopefully you can try to avoid that if possible. Magic and Slash here is the 8th secret project, and for the progress currently it's fully translated along with past halfway (55%) translated.
The biggest announcement from Mangagamer here is obviously Sakuramori, in which it's been asked by several people as one of Moonstone VN that wanted to be translated. Sakuramori here is also known as the first secret project, and currently it's in image editing so perhaps it'll take no long time before we see Sakuramori in testing. As for the premise, it's an unique one seeing that it's a Moonstne VN that was focused n the mystery instead of their usual moege focus. In there we'll have Shinji who tried to move on after his childhood friend Madoka was brutally murdered, and after some time later Shinji saw Madoka's spirit. Soon after the town was engulfed in the darkness with the monster roaming around, and thus Shinji starting to gather some allies that capable to combat the monster and hopefully end the incident. As for the writing, I believe that Kure want to write this kind of story even since back at Suika although apparently Sakuramori here is the improvement on his writing back at Honoguraki Toki no Hate Yori though. In any case, I'll look forward to Sakuramori here.
That's all for this week VNTS Review along with my commentary on Otakon, and see you next week.
PS - For this week title, since we have Magic and Slash MC here is basically have a Magic Knight job and we also have 'Sakura' from Sakuramori, I just combined both of those so we have 'Sakura Magic Knight' as this week VNTS Review.
Apparently there's another hiatus on VNTS because Decay might be busy there, so as usual I'll write this week VNTS Review without the VNTS. As for the title, seeing that we have Summer Pockets Shiroha's patch released I decided to parodied 'PreCure All Stars Memories' movie into 'KEY All Stars Memories' because we'll going to see some plot that was available in the older KEY VNs at Summer Pockets, and we can treat that as some sort of nostalgia trip in that the aforementioned PreCure movie was also deal with that as well (The movie itself is not quite well written though). For 'Part 1' part here, it's because we only have one route translated out of five routes, so there'll be four parts more in the future. As for this week, other than Shiroha's patch release we have Mangagamer released Minagoroshi along with Majokoi exact release date at Friday later and some updates from Sol Press. Let's see what I can write for this week as well despite the lack of VNTS.
For Sol Press updates we have Nukitashi was at 21% translated, Onikiss was in image editing before moving on to QA, Himawari no Kioku was at 26% translated along with 3% edited, Shitsuaru release date was forwarded to October 18th, and Kimiaogi was in QA. Speaking abut Kimiaogi, apparently the no mosaic file that was already prepared was deleted because their hardisk that was stored the file was damaged. While granted it would make some people mad because they can't remove the mosaic on time (Apparently the process to redraw the CG is very expensive), what I can say is that I prefer to ignore mosaic matter as long as the sex scenes is available in the release later so it's meaningless to me here if I'm mad about mosaic. I can understand though that it would be very suck to loss all of the files and that kind of mistake is surprisingly common, so hopefully Sol Press could be better to avoid that kind of mistake in the future. Lastly it's t bad that there's no update from Windmill VN (Especially Witch's Garden), but I guess we need to wait for a while here.
As for Aokana Kickstarter, currently the KS manage to pass 80,000 euro mark (Currently at 83,326 euro) funded so obviously they'd pass the stretch goal for Switch port. Although I'm more interested with the additional feature though, in that we finally can have Music Gallery along with the new feature such as Sprite Viewer. Still congratulation to Nekonyan though in that they managed to have Switch port for Aokana here, and I'll look forward to their big announcement later. By the way the next stretch goal is badges and tapestry at 90,000 euro, so at least it's good that there's more collectible item if you interested with Aokana's merchandise (Not me though). We also have Photonflower released today, so go get that if you've been Muv Luv fans and want to see more of the characters life. There's Date A Live VN release as well, although for the release I'll talk about it at next VNTS Review.
From Mangagamer we have Minagoroshi release, but before gong into it we have some complicated matter in that Mangagamer have the issue with their payment processor so that we can't buy the VN from their website. More importantly it also delayed Mangagamer next release announcement as well, so it's too bad that we wouldn't know what release that Mangagamer will have for August later (Granted we have Ciconia for that, but it's at September later). For now I just hope that Mangagamer will resolve their payment issue as soon as possible. Back to Minagoroshi, as we know it's the 7th part of Higurashi in that it's the part where the main mystery in Hinamizawa (Higurashi's place setting for the reminder) starting to get dismantled and there's a hope for Keichi's and friend for the happy ending, although looking from the title it's obviously wouldn't end happily (TL Note: Minagoroshi mean massacre or mass killing). Anyway with Minagoroshi done it mean that only a chapter left from original Higurashi (Matsuribayashi), and obviously it mean that there'll be a patch that will add voice and PS3 graphic to Minagoroshi later.
From fan translation as usual we have Eustia updates, and at this week it was at 72.87% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 15.11% translated. Other than that, we also have Miotsukushi Omote start the translation progress (Apparently there's a lot to port in regard of Miotsukushi) and currently it's at 1% translated (Yeah they literally just start the translation). For the reminder here, Mitosukushi is the new arc for Higurashi PS2 version and that arc is the alternative ending for Matsuribayashi. The biggest news from fan translation here should be Summer Pockets Shiroha's patch release, in which it did released bot of common and Shiroha's routes (Duh). Of curse we have a lot of progress from Summer Pocket translation, and currently it was at 35.40% with the most progress was at Kamome's route in that it's already reach past a quarter (25.14%) translated so we may have Kamome's patch released next. Anyway get the Shiroha's patch here if you want to try it, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. I'll look forward to the three announcements that Mangagamer will bring at Otakon later.
Visual Novel Translation Status (07/13/2019)
Good to see that we have another VNTS here (I hope that Decay can keep it up), and as for the drama perhaps it would be better if I'm not delve into it too much. As for this week title, seeing that we have sudden Yotsunoha release in that it'll be dealing with the reunion and some update from Seven Days, I figure that I'll combined both 'reunion' from Yotsunoha and 'seven' from Seven Days (Very obvious) so that we have 'Seven Reunions' as this week VNTS Review. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and like Decay said compared to 28 announcements back at last week this week is more relaxed, although Yotsunoha release made this week is slightly more lively here. We also have Aokana and Seven Days updates along with Mangagamer's updates, so what I can say is that this week is not too bad here and I'm quite content with the overall updates. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
There's one interesting update from JAST in regard of Majikoi, in that apparently they have some problem for the release later. Namely that they need to remove some of the voices in the VN, although at least they left the main casts (Kazama Family) voices intact. While granted that the JList only list 'Kazama Family fully voiced in Japanese' so that I don't know exactly whether the news is true or not (I may miss the announcement back at JAST's panel), the lack of side characters voice here is surely would made their release here is less complete on top of being redundant. The reason for that is simply because you can just play fan translated version, and I'm certain that there's no complain about voice removal back when Majikoi was released at 2015. Anyway to get more detail about this for now we can only wait for JAST's blog, and hopefully we can get the solution about voice problem there. Almost forget that we also have the update from trap VN thanks to Ryechu, and the current translation progress for that was at 87% translated along with 85% edited.
From fan translation we have Eustia was at 72.69% translated with Eustia's chapter was pass 10% mark (13.80%) translated, Miotsukushi Omote was at 86% ported to the PC, and we have Rhapsody already have all of the extra contents being translated. For more detail in regard of Rhapsody currently we have ~85% contents of that were already translated, and Chapter 2 is being TLC-ed and in editing along with one third of menu image is already edited. While this is a good milestone for have another Eushully VN being translated, it's still take a lot of time though for the team to do the finishing touch so we don't have any choice here except waiting. Almost forget that we have Asagi Zero was at 85% translated, so more good news for Asagi's fans after Premium Box patch release (Not me though, although I can't help to notice that the female characters there is quite sexy XDD (It's a nukige after all)).
Speaking about nukige, we have one release from Cherry Kiss and one announcement from FAKKU. Neither of those were lacking the sex scenes for certain, and the latter was far more disturbing. As for the former, we have our MC goes to the land in which it was ruled by four very big breasted female knight and our MC will have his way to form the harem with the four ruler. You can get the nukige from either at Steam (Perhaps because all of the heroines are adults Valve didn't randomly shot this down) or Cherry Kiss store, and have fun. For the latter, the planned will be at 2020 and the name of the VN is 'Abbadon: Princess of Decay' (I'll just call it Abbadon). As for the premise, we have three male (One of the three is the MC) and three female come to the mansion that was the last place where MC's father visited before disappear, and soon they find some horrifying being. The reason it was disturbing it's because it have BL sex scenes in which it might be not appreciate by most of male here, and not to mention that there's some disturbing sex scenes. While I'll certainly avoid this, I knew that some people may like it so hopefully they can be patient for waiting.
As expected Frontwing did have a plan to release Loca Love 2 on Steam, and they already opened the Steam store along with announcing the estimation release month (At August later). Still no word about 18+ patch, but maybe they'll release it at the same time as the main game release time. From Sekai we have Harukuru waiting for Chinese language and the build from the developer, Zombie VN 2 was fully edited and currently in engine work, Kemomusu QA is already started, Nanairo release might be delayed to August, and currently they planning the release date for Majokoi (Hopefully in the very near future). Sekai also already revealed their 4th secret project, in which turned out it was Nekogami so at least it's true that their 4th secret project did have catgirl like one of Sekai's employee said (Currently Nekogami was at 70% translated and edited). For the last updates from Sekai, we have four of their AX announcements (Amatsutsumi, Nine episode 3, Bokukotsu FD, and Love Sweet Garnish 2) are already started the translation and the editing progress. Well good luck with the translation work for all of the announcements, and hopefully the release is in the near future (Especially Amatsutsumi and Nine episode 3).
As for Mangagamer's updates, we have yet another new secret project dubbed as 'Secret Project 9' so we have three unrevealed projects from them. While granted we wouldn't know what's the 9th secret project is until Mangagamer announce it, and hopefully it'll be at Otakon later. For the roundup of the secret projects, 8th was at past halfway (55%) edited and 9th was at 77% translated. For the rest of the updates, we have Sukehime was past halfway (60%) translated, 02 was halfway translated (Apparently the new script is longer compared to the older one (Don't ask me why Alicesoft chose to release the new script separately instead of combined it with the new version back at 2010), so perhaps 02 here is not so redundant even though story wise it still is), Sideboob 2 was fully edited, WanNyan was at 60% edited, Imopara 3 was finalizing the release build, Ciconia release was planned to be at September later because of the delay (Originally it'll be release ld at Summer Otakon), Mugen Renkan was at 80% translated along with halfway edited, and finally Haretaka was finalizing the release build. For now I'm just glad that Haretaka is almost ready for the release even though Mangagamer may prioritize Maggot Bait release first, and that's all for Mangagamer updates.
In regard of Seven Days update, it was already passed the review although apparently Fruitbat was told by Valve to add mature label on Seven Days for the unknown reason. What I can say is that I would prefer them to add the label in order to have Steam randomly shot down Seven Days, although the decision is still up to Fruitbat though. In any case, hopefully with Seven Days pass Steam review we can expect the release in the near future. For one more KS update, we also have Aokana in which currently they gather 73,170 euro out of 80,000 euro in order to fulfill the 8th stretch goal with two week left. The reason I report the funding again is because the recent update, in that if the funding reach 80,000 euro they'll add Switch port and more importantly they'll add new features that were also available at both of Sanoba and Wagahigh (ie Music Gallery, Sprite Review, and ability to skip the chapter). While the latter two is very nice addition, the first one is very important addition to Aokana because it's initial version didn't have it. Granted that there's some VN that didn't have Music Gallery (Such as Muv Luv Alternative), but I think it should be at least standard feature for any modern VN. I hope that Nekonyan will add the feature if the stretch goal is fulfilled, and once again good luck to Aokana's KS.
This week biggest release is obviously Yotsunoha, in which it was released at the same time when Sol Press launch their own store. As for the release time, it should be obvious that they released it back at 13th instead of when they have panel at AX. About the shop itself, I think Sol Press decided to make it after Steam banned Yotsunoha so at least it's good that Sol Press decided that they can't really depend on Steam all the time (They already work together with Denpasoft and Fakku from back at AX). As for Yotsunoha itself, like I said above it's about reunion. Or to be more precise it's about our MC who made a promise at three years ago together with his four female friends for going to met up at a certain place where they bury the time capsule, and that they'll tell what's happening in the years when they separated. Of course seeing that this is an old charage, the MC here will date one of his four childhood friend. Another thing to note that this VN got anime adaptation, so at least Yotsunoha here is quite well known. Once again since Steam banned Yotsunoha here, you can get the VN legally at Sol Press shop itself and the 18+ patch is available for free at Panty Press. Have fun for playing Yotsunoha if you've been interested with since back at announcement.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, albeit very belated one. See you next week.
As for this week, seeing that I search some Shield Hero material thanks to my binge on isekai manga and that it was adapted to the anime (Which is quite well known), I decided to parodied it with Fata Morgana here because we have Fata Morgana rereleased for PS4 and PSV with side story addition. Another reason for Shield Hero and Fata Morgana parody is because Asami Seto did have the roles in both of the works (Raphtalia and the Maid respectively), and both of her roles did really dedicated to support their master. So for this week we have 'The Rising of the Mansion Master' as this week VNTS Review because Fata Morgana MC was supposed to be the master of the mysterious mansion with the Maid as the helper, and that's all what I can say about Fata Morgana here without spoiling the story (By the way it's too bad that the only voiced section from Fata Morgana rerelease is the new side story from PSV version, and it's a shame because all of the casts of Fata Morgana are quite well-known). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week we have slightly more active with Sukiren got released and we have the news in regard of Noraneko. Other than those two big news, the rest of the updates is more or less just the usual updates. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
For fan translation at this week, we only have Eustia was at 71.07% translated with Eustia's Chapter was at 2.02% translated and Miotsukushi Omote was already past halfway (55%) ported to the PC. Not too much I must say, so I think that's all from fan translation at this week. We also have JAST finished the editing process for Katahane in both of English and Chinese language, so perhaps the time for the release is almost close although it still didn't change my opinion that JAST's announcement on Katahane is redundant though. Speaking about announcement, we have Sol Press will join this year AX along with Sekai, Mangagamer, JAST, FAKKU, and Aksys so perhaps we can look forward to Sol Press announcement on AX later, although of course I'm still interested with the other companies announcements as well.
We have Noraneko's demo release and we also have Noraneko exact release date, in which they'll release it at 17th later. As for Noraneko here, apparently they have a lot of issue in regard of financial so much that they decided to not localized the sex scenes. While at the very least I can try to understand the situation, a censorship is still a censorship so I'll just treat Noraneko here as censored VN like both of Konosora (Before restoration patch released) and Miagete, which is a shame considering that I like the casts (Even though I know that I can hear the casts again in Senren Banka later) and the graphic is not too bad too. I know that there's Dies Irae and Eien no Aselia case, although in their case at least they have replacement content that was worth to replace the sex scenes. In the end, I can only imagine that perhaps Harukaze as Noraneko's developer here really respected Pulltop as a company, so they decided to follow their footsteps including releasing 18+ VN for overseas censored (And I hope that Minato-soft as the parents company didn't take their steps even though their only license so far is a redundant Majikoi's announcement with JAST).
As for the biggest release, we have Sukiren in which it's another VN that was published by Nekonyan. As for the premise, we have a MC (Sousuke) who his father was remarried with a woman who have single daughter (The daughter's name is Nanaru). One day, Sousuke's real sister (Suzu) was suddenly reappear in front of him, and there's a bit problem with that namely turned out that both of Suzu and Nanaru are brocon causing Sousuke to have love triangle between him and his two sisters. If one love triangle is not enough for Sousuke, he also have another with both of her upperclassman and her childhood friend, and so Sousuke did his best to balance his life between two love triangle. About Sukiren here, it's more in line with comedy VN because it did have a lot of parody (Make sense considering that the developer is one group with Smee that was known for the comedic VNs (ie Furureba)), and all of Sousuke's four love interest turned out to be otaku (And so does Sousuke). So yeah you better prepare for a lot of comedy in Sukiren there, although it didn't mean that there's no drama though. Anyway go get Sukiren if you've been interested with that since the announcement, and have fun. Hopefully by Sukiren release here Nekonyan's burden got relieved a bit, and perhaps we can see Aokana release from them at this year.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Seeing that we got Eris's patch of Eustia released back at two weeks ago, I decided to make yet another parody of Love Live as this week title. And in this case I decided to combined both of Eustia's English title (Eustia of the Tarnished Wings) with one of Love Live idol (Ayase Eli) so that we have 'Eli of the Tarnished Wings' as this week title. For more info, both of Eli and the titular Eustia was voiced by the same seiyuu (Nanjou Yoshino), hence Eli as the substitute for Eustia here. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week let's just say that it's sort of calm after last week busyness with both of the announcements and Damekoi release there. As for this week updates, there's some usual updates from both of fan translation and Mangagamer. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
From fan translation we have Eustia was at 70.85% translated with Eustia's chapter (The last main story chapter) was at 0.48% translated, Watamasu was at 87% translated, Loverable was at 65.6% translated, and Miotsukushi Omote was at 39% ported to the PC. Not much admittedly, so I guess that's all for this week fan translation section.
Since I forgot about Ie no Kagi release back at my last VNTS Review, I'll try to talk about it here. Basically the premise is that the MC is a teacher who teach at a grade school with some peculiar female student, in that the student did blackmail the MC in order to help her steal the secret school fortune that was rumored around tens of millions yen. The MC was understandably disturbed, but he didn't have any choice other than helping the female student as the accomplice or that's how the story supposed to be happen. In any case, the VN itself gathered the controversy because it's been banned at Steam and then the publisher decided to use Fakku as their store. As for the reason of the ban even though the VN itself is all age, apparently it's because the girls are really in the primary school and the girls did have posed in a suggestive way to their teacher. In the end, I guess it can't be helped here in that the VN is more well known because of the controversy rather than the content of the VN itself (Even though the content might be not well done).
We also have YU-NO exact release date announced in which it'll be at 1st October later, and what I can say is that at least it'll give the people who didn't like the old graphic a chance to play YU-NO. We also have Sekai managed to have sudden release on G-Senjou 18+ version back at 20th, so good for them even though the translation and the mosaic was still not changed from the original fan translation version. What I can say about those two is that both of those are redundant, but at least YU-NO did have graphic improvement although I'm still okay with the old graphic though. For Noraneko, they got the new publisher in which it's Fruitbat Factory so at least we can be sure that localized Noraneko here wouldn't have 18+ contents because Fruitbat here is well known for publishing all age VN, and therefore our Noraneko here would be like Konosora and Miagete in that as long as no people willingly patch the 18+ scenes it'll be a censored release (At least Noraneko have the excuse that it's already have console release before they announced the localization).
From Mangagamer, most of their updates was from their secret project. Although they also have announcements for their hardcopies though, such as they delayed Hapymaher hardcopy release to June 20th later (Oh well) and that they'll release Sideboob hardcopy at June 27th later. As for the updates, we have Maggot Bait finished the testing (Good thing that the tester didn't need to use the bucket), Escalayer is in programming, Rance Quest image editing is almost finished, WanNyan was at halfway edited, NyanCafe was already doing the image editing, and Haretaka is still in testing. For the secret projects updates, we have 1st was fully edited and start the image editing, 6th was at 71% translated along with 10% edited, 7th was at 76% translated along with 67% edited, and 8th was at 72% translated along with 17% edited. As for their next release, I guess they'll doing Minagoroshi first seeing that they said that they alreasy prepared for the Steam version as well, although it's too bad though that they still need some time for Haretaka there consdering that after testing we'll going to have finalizing process.
Well that's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
As for this week VNTS Review title, I decide to use one obscure NISA game (The Witch and the Hundred Knight) so that we have 'The Witch and the Headless Knight'. For more elaboration it's because we have headless knight antagonist in Ninja Girl VN that was released at this week, and witch heroine in Majokoi that was almost ready for the release (Yeah it's very cliche I know). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I may frank here this week is kind of dry because we only have less than ten updates. Although if one want to think in a positive light, perhaps all of the localization companies are preparing for AX so they didn't have enough time to make the updates. Anyway let's see what I can write for this week despite the lack of updates here.
As suspected we didn't have Mangagamer announce one announcements for AX, because they increased the number of the announcements to four. While we can speculate what kind of title that Mangagamer would bring (With one clue was pointed towards Sakuramori), at least we can certain that all of those title from Mangagamer available partners so no announcements from the new partners. Other than that, once again we have Sideboob hardcopy release back at June 27th and Hapymaher hardcopy back at June 2nd. While I still don't know if Mangagamer would announce another Purple Software VN (Or Hapymaher FD for that matter), at least Mangaggamer sales on Hapymaher is looking good seeing that Manggamer print the hardcopy for it.
While I did say that this week is lack of updates, actually we have Ninja Girl release in which it's one of Sekai VN that was written by Harumade Kururu writer. While Harukuru here is a sci-fi VN that deceivingly begin as nukige, actually the writer here was more experienced in writing supernatural story since back at 2003 and it show in Ninja Girl here in which the girls must face a headless knight. While both of the premise and the setting is quite promising, too bad that apparently the VN itself is quite short so we may not get a satisfying conclusion. Still it might be interesting though if you just want to see the girls, because after all the girls are looking good. Almost forgot to say that the MC is the titular ninja girl, and that there's no male other than the headless knight. We also have Sekai open the Steam store for Majokoi and that they'll give us more info on Majokoi AX later, so hopefully they'll be able to fulfill their promise on give the info later (And possibly also announce Nanairo release exact date).
We only have one update, and the updates was in regard of usual Eustia in which it's currently was at 71.68% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 6.48% translated. There's also the matter with Pure Pure translation project, in that the translator said he alreasy finished his urgent real life matter so hopefully he'll be able to work more on Pure Pure. Like Sekai we also have a release, and that the release is a loli VN in which there's no much info other than apparently the loli heroine was run away from home and met the MC. Just in case you didn't like loli VN (And feel uncomfortable by that), then there's Taimanin Asagi Premium Box release in that it retranslated six nukige that was already translated a long time ago, so if you felt unsatisfied with the older translation you can replay it by using the new version.
I guess that's all for this week VNTS review and I'm sorry if this is a bit sort here. See you next week.
For the title I'd combined both of Aokana and Noraneko because we have a big news in regard of those two, and the title here is a derivative of Noraneko localized title (The Princess, the Stray Cat, and Matters of the Hearts). As for 'The Coach' part it should be obvious that it's from Aokana in which it's our Aokana MC (Masaya, which have same name as Evangile's MC) role, while for 'Matters of the Censorship' part it's because Harukaze here have a brilliant idea to release Switch version that was obviously censored for overseas instead of regular version (With 18+ contents obviously). As for 'Goat' part, well it's because we have Noraneko episode 6 in that we have a real life goat instead of usual animation, and I'm not making this up here. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week other than aforementioned big news we have some updates from Sekai and Mangagmer here, so let's see what I can write for this week as well.
For the roundup of fan translation, we have Eustia was at 71.55% translated (Eustia's arc was at 5.53% translated) along with past halfway edited (At 51.97% edited the all of the chapters up to Irene's was already edited), 4,379 lines from Pure x Connect were edited, and Summer Pocket was at 30.30% translated. We also have one release, and apparently it's a VN with shota MC that was about to experience a summer camp together with some elementary students female. Said camp was have some activity that was surely involved with some reproduction process, and one of the tags at VNDB is nukige. Do the math. While I'm not quite fond to that kind of VN (And it can be very disturbing for some people), it's not like I can forbid someone to liking a particular stuff anyway because each people did have their own interest (Although I can't help to notice that the translator is like shota and loli VN though).
The big release for this week is Noraneko, although ironically it's been censored here seeing that for some reason Harukaze thought that the overseas would easily accepted Switch version without the option for seeing 18 scenes. While granted there's some reason such as license and stuff like Phlebas said, it's not like it would be hard for Harukaze to handle the license seeing that there's a lot of release like that (The exception are Pulltop's releases obviously). The only reason that I can think of is that they afraid that Steam would randomly banned this if they localized 18+ scenes as well. As for the cut, it's pretty big seeing that apparently ~30-40% scripts of Noraneko are sex scenes, and unless the change is worth the cut then it mean that it's censorship is worse compared to Miagete (For comparison ~17% of Miagete's scripts did cut to get rid of the sex scenes, and it's already big enough). As for Noraneko itself I think the synopsis at the Steam store is enough for the premise so I'll just say that it's too bad that Noraneko is censored, even though I know that three of the main heroines seiyuu (Kirihana, Sendai, and Kotori Yuuka) will appear at Senren Banka later (Obviously will be not censored).
From Sekai we have a lot of their project was at preparation stage, so it's hard to describe in general here. The only release that they have is that they'd already release Ninja Girl back at 24th (I'll try to talk about it at the next VNTS Review), and that that they already almost ready to release Nanairo (Hopefully by July end). For the roundup we have Nine episode 2 was started the QA, Kemomusu do the build check before QA, Nekonin 3 was awaiting build from the developer, and Sanarara was about to start the editing. We also have Bell Chime otome VN spin-off release, in that if we remember the main game of that was released by Sekai (This time the developer decided to release it without Sekai's help). As for the premise, it'll tell us the story of our female MC after she finished the adventure that she was gone through together with five poor men back at the main game, and that we'll going to see her ordinary life here. While granted that the heroes are still not as handsome as usual otome VN heroes, at least it have sex scenes like the main game (It's still rare to see otome VN with sex scenes being translated here).
As for Mangagamer's update, this week most of those was focused on the secret projects because almost all of their revealed projects are either already finished the testing, in testing, or finalizing the build for the release. But before going to the update, we have surprise news from them in that they managed to have Steam allow Amrilato to be sold at their store which obviously mean that the Steam user can buy Amrilato directly from Steam. I don't really know though who or what pressured Valve to allow Steam change their policy in regard of Amrilato quickly (It need more than four months for HGB to be available at Steam store), but I guess it's good for now that at least Valve is a bit willing to hearing. As for the update roundups, we have Maggot Bait finalizing the release build, WanNyan was at 55% edited, Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was in setting, and both of Imopara 3 and Haretaka finished the testing. For the secret projects, we have 6th was at 76% translated and 36%edited, 7th was fully translated and 92% edited, and 8th was fully translated along with 40% edited. Out of all updates, I'm just glad to see that Haretaka here finished the testing. Also apparently Managamer will bring one announcement to AX, although I wonder though if they'll really only bring one.
To me the biggest news to me is not Noraneko release because it's censored, but rather Aokana's physical copy KS. As fr the KS itself like Nekonyan said beforehand the base goal itself was quite low, although to tell the truth I didn't expect the base goal was at 10,000 euro though (I expect at least around 20,000 euro just like usual Sekai physical copy KS). In any case, the KS was very successful in less than a hour after the launch which to say was quite a record. As for now, currently it managed to gather at around 58,000 euro and already managed to reach the third stretch goal, and perhaps they'll be able to gather 70,000 euro considering that it's still 35 days left. In any case I just hope that Nekonyan will be able to deliver the KS goods (I'm not quite interested with the prize), and that they'll deliver the download version at their promised time (Around August end). Almost forget that I like Nekonyan also provided Aokana OST, seeing that sprite didn't manage to add the Music Collection at the VN itself.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Sorry for the belated review here, and yeah I'm quite surprised that we managed to have Daitoshokan full patch leaked just like Yoake. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I parodied Daitoshokan alias (A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd) by changing 'Librarian' into 'Magical Girl' because we also have magical girl nukige release as well. Another reason is that because there's a seiyuu joke in here, and I'll tell it in PS seeing that it's a spoiler. Other than Daitoshokan which is the biggest release, we also have Tokyo Chronos that was released by Sekai after they managed to funding it through Kickstarter. As for this week, if not for Daitoshokan sudden release I would say that it would be another dry week thanks to the smaller releases, but thanks to Daitoshokan it's getting more interesting here although the updates still didn't much though (ie no Mangagamer updates). Anyway, let's see what I can write for this VNTS as well.
As for the releases other than Daitosho, first of all we have Inugami in which it's a nukige with the premise that the MC did going to live in an island together with the martial art god who turned out to be female (Should be goddess) in order to train, and at the same time have the sex with the goddess. While it's not the most interesting VN out there, you can get it from Steam (Because it didn't have high school setting maybe?) if you getting interested with that and have fun. Other release to note is Gedou Mahou Shoujo Rinne in which it's aforementioned magical girl nukige here, and it's quite unique seeing that we have villainous MC who is a girl (Rinne, which is the title girl) that was jealous with her classmate (Hijiri) and want to beat the classmate after she got the magical girl power (And get corrupted). Also coincidentally Hijiri is the magical girl so Hijiri will obviously try to stop Rinne here, although it wouldn't be easy though seeing that Rinne will using all of her power to beat Hijiri. While this is still a nukige, at least it's still nice to see if you want to play magical girl nukige here in which it's surprisingly rare to see one got translated, so go get that if you interested with it and have fun.
We also have Sekai did release Tokyo Chronos, in which it did got Kicstarted back at August 2018 with the base goal at 75,000. While the premise looks promising with the Virtual Reality world and that one of the staff did involved in Sword Art Online anime as the producer (The romance is as romantic as Twilight for some people by the way), I didn't quite interested with this seeing that there's no much info on this. But still since the VN did have interesting premise with survival and mystery theme, some people should find this quite appealing so if you want you can try Tokyo Chronos there and have fun (At least it got two famous seiyuu (Romi Park and Yuki Kaji) if you interested with that). We also have Sekai finally managed to have G-Senjou 18+ version did enter the QA, which to say was very late seeing that we already got it translated by TL Wiki since back at 2010 despite of the mosaic (Not very important to me here). There's Nekonin 2 Plus in which apparently Whirpool did add the additional sex scenes based on consumer wishes so good for them I think, and currently it's already fully translated and edited so it should be released in near future.
For fan translation, we have Moususgu Natsuyasmi patch release in which apparently have shota MC did have sex with his friends that more or less are at the same age as him. Whether you find this acceptable or not is up to each of their own seeing that it's a loli VN, but if you find it interesting you may try that later and have fun even though the graphich is quite old (It's from 2006). We also have Eustia was at 64.45% translated along with 49.50% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was finally at 29% edited, Relaxation Yuka was at 76.42% translated, Watamasu was at 72% translated, Loverable was at 62.27% edited, and Hoshiori's overall was at 97.42% translated with Natsuki's route was at 80.42% translated.
For the last week biggest release, it's obviously Daitoshokan in which it's been released back at Saturday by one of the editor leaked the complete patch in Reddit. As for the project history, it's been in work since back at 2014 before the leader seemingly vanished after gave the last update back at October 2016. Of course by now people would already give up on this to be released, and yeah we have surprise release on this in which it's a good surprise here. With this it mean that finally August's curse is broken again, after Yoake (Leaked by same person at Reddit) and Daitoshokan side story release (I didn't have any problem on the side story release anymore seeing that we have the main game translated). As for the premise, it's in regard of the MC Kakei who have power of precognition saving a girl (Tsugumi) in a weird way (Touching Tsugumi's boob) and then Tsugumi did invite Kakei to join her project to make the school happy, while at the same time both of them investigate Shepherd rumor because both of them did received the messages from Shepherd. Also Daitoshokan here is better than Yoake, simply because it did have the sex scenes lol. Have fun with Daitoshokan there.
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
PS - For the seiyuu joke in regard of the title, it's because we have Kirihana here voicing a character at Daitoshokan.
Since we have Amrilato release that focused on Esperanto language lesson and that our female MC did get trapped in anther world that have Esperanto as the man language, I decided to just using the literal translation Trapped in Another World trope in Esperanto here so we have 'Kaptita en Alia Mondo' as this week VNTS Review. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and while today we have Noraneko release my focus here would be more on Nekonyan updates along with Amrilato release (I'll try to talk about Noraneko at the next week VNTS Review). What I can say abut this week here would be slightly calm compared to the last week, simply because there's no updates from Sol Press and no new VN announcement. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
For fan translation roundup, we have Eustia was at 71.42% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 4.56% translated, Loverable was at 67.08%, and Rhapsody's append and NG+ contents was at 80% translated (Along with some ongoing progress such as menu image work, Chapter 2 TLC and editing, and terminology translation). We have a release from fan translation here, although the release in question is a nukige though in which apparently it's the sequel of a NTR nukige that was released back at December 23rd (I already forgot about it). Speaking about nukige, we also have Cherry Blossom Kiss did release their own nukige in which it tell us about on how both of Shingen Takeda and Uesugi Kenshin are female and that both of them fall in love with the same person (By the way back at Sengoku Rance only Kenshin that was female). Well go get those two nukige if you interested with that and have fun, and by the way those two didn't featured loli heroines although you may didn't like NTR one though.
Once again we have Mangagamer did have Amrilato release, and once again since they released a VN it mean that they already planned a release at the next month. The release in question is Minagoroshi in which it'll be released at July 18th, so it mean that finally we can have Higurashi's penultimate arc voiced with PS3 graphics. Back to Amrilato, as for the premise we have our female MC Rin suddenly stuck in a world when everyone only fluent in Esperanto. Obviously Rin is in panic seeing that she can't communicate thanks to the language barrier, until she met with a cute girl with the name Ruka who can speak Japanese a bit. From there, both of them teach their own language in order to have better communication. Also curiously Amrilato here is banned by Steam, which to say was quite ridiculous seeing that it's all age VN and that it's also doubled as education VN for Esperanto language. Seeing that I can only guess that perhaps the staffs did have something against Esperanto there, so hopefully next time Valve can standardized Steam's censorship. You can still get it from Mangagamer's store though, so get Amrilato from them if you interested and have fun.
Back at last Saturday we finally have Nekonyan decided to use Kickstarter in order to fund their physical copy of Aokana, and they'll launched it on Tuesday. While it's quite an important news in that Nekonyan was finally decided to use crowdfund after saying that they'll try their best to not use it, the more important news to me was that Nekonyan will release Aokana digital version one month after KS ended and the KS itself will going for 42 days, so at most we can speculate that we'll have KS final day at July 30th and Aokana release at August 30th (I'll still keep my eyes on the KS though). While the dates is sounds plausible, for now it's only speculation though so it might be change in the future. Speaking about announcement, we have an info that apparently Nekonyan did have more well known title although currently they decided to hold back the announcements though until they halfway finished with the work. And apparently one of those was already almost finished so that Nekonyan announced that they'll have release it at December later, so obviously we must wait until December (If all goes well) to know what's the release (Duh).
For the rest of the updates from Nekonyan, we have Hello Lady estimate release time was delayed to late Q3, Senren release was already decided at September, and Makeover release was decided at early Q4 later. While for now I still think that it's too early to be sure about the release time, at least we have a new guide and that they may be able to do it now that they already released four VNs. There's also Melty Moment matter, in that apparently the project is troubled seeing that they lost the translator of this. Although apparently they already got a way to deal with that considering that they'll give us the update about it, so let's wait and see here.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - As for Amrilato's censorship, one can only speculate that the early bath scene there was the reason on why Steam did ban Amrilato, which to say was somehow understandable seeing that even Pulltop who's been infamous for overseas release was asked to do further censorship for Steam release. Also yeah once again Valve really need to be more consistent with their censorship seeing that some of the games in Steam library did have bath scene, and we even have both of Evenicle and Kyonyuu Fantasy on Steam (Those two VNs are have a lot of sex scenes for the reminder).
I know that the title is sounds like a light novel title, and I agree with that. It's because for this occasion I decided to use Saekano (Which is started from light novel) titling as the title for this week VNTS review, and the reason is because we have Damekoi release. For the info, both of Damekoi and Saekano is written by Fumiaki Maruto although he's more well known as White Album 2 (WA2) writer though. As for the title, since we have Damekoi's main heroine (Mitoko) have 144 centimeters height and that she acted as the landlord with her irresponsible mother is missing, I use 'How to Raise 144 Centimeters Landlord' as the subtitle for Damekoi following Saekano pattern (I know that Damekoi full title here didn't have the word that mean 'How to Raise' (Sodatekata)). Speaking abut Saekano, from what I saw at TV Trope and Wikipedia I can say that the three initial heroines did follow both of WA2 and Daemkoi's characteristic with the main heroine (Megumi) is like Setsuna as the ordinary girl, Eriri is like Mitoko, and Utaha is the combination of Kazusa with her aloof side and Kaya with her like to flirt with the MC.
My earlier rambling aside, welcome to this week VNTS review in that we have Damekoi as the big release from Mangagamer here, which is good because we finally can have famous Maruto work being fully translated (Other than Saekano). Damekoi release aside, we also have Anime Central announcements from both of Sekai and Mangagamer here with Sekai here did have the biggest surprise, because I'm seriously almost forgot that Sekai usually have Anime Central announcements as well (Their announcements is not too bad from what I did see here). We also have some updates from fan translation as well here along with one surprising JAST update. With the introduction done, let's see what I can write for this week as well.
There's no much from fan translation updates at this week, so I'll just round it up with Eustia was at 70.79% translated (For the reminder we have Eris's patch released), the translator of Gore Screaming Show decided to retranslated the early scripts, Loverable was at 65.6% edited, 3,611 lines of Pure x Connect were edited, and Watamasu was at 82% translated. I think that's all for this week fan translations updates.
The surprising update from JAST is in regard of Kimikoi, in which currently they did the QA for that. While we still didn't know the release date for that VN yet, at least it mean that they almost ready for the release here so I hope that they'll be able to release it at this year if possible (Which should be doable as long as they didn't do the hardcopy as well), so that we can play the VN that did inspire Doki Doki Literature Club plot twist. We also have Frontwing did give the update in regard of Sharin that currently they in the last stage of debugging, so hopefully they'll be able to release it in the near future (Regardless on whether the release is redundant or not) seeing that the release was already delayed for several times. Speaking abut release plan, we also have Kogado did plan the release for Yumeutsutsu at June 13th later, so if you've been interested to buy it you can keep the note on that date especially if you like Hakuai's writing (Same writer and all).
Sekai Projects
We have three surprising announcements from Sekai back at Anime Central, but before going to the announcements we also have two updates from them. The first update from them is that they almost ready for G-Senjou 18+ release which should be good if you want to buy it legally, although other than that it's still redundant release anyway seeing that the scene is still in mosaic and the translation is still the same, but at least it mean that Sekai was almost finished with their redundant announcement there. Their second update is in regard of Majokoi in which they handed it to Steam in order to be reviewed by them, so it mean that they should be able to release it in the near future. As for Majokoi's update, I'm sort of hopeful and worry at the same time because we already know that Steam is being fickle with the censorship here, and yet I also can see that it could going smoothly seeing that Majokoi was be able to have PSV port which is owned by Sony (And you know on how tight Sony's censorship is). Regardless of that concern, I hope that we finally can have Majokoi released.
As for Sekai announcements, we have three announcements and turned out that two of the three announcements were their secret projects (Kemomusu as the 1st secret project and Sanarara as the 2nd secret project). To elaborate more, two of those were from Stage-Nana which is also known as Narcissu developer and the third one from the new partner. As for my interest, I guess my interest here will probably going to Kemomusu simply because the graphic for that is quite good. Although apparently Sanarara here is quite good though, because we have our Conjueror translated it. As for the other announcement, it's Winter Polaris in which apparently it'll have two stories in the VN itself (I'll leave the explanation of the premise of the three VNs to the news here). We also already have the progress for those three announcements, because it's been in work ever since it's announced as secret project. For the record, both of Kemomusu and Polaris were already fully translated with Kemomusu was already fully edited as well, and as for Polaris it's already at 70% translated. They also already have the release plan for those three at this year, in which they'll release Polaris at summer, Kemomusu at Q4, and Sanarara at Q3. In any case, for now I'll just hope that Sekai will managed to release those three announcements on time.
Mangagamer
For Mangagamer announcement, we have Imopara 3 in which it's pretty much inevitable seeing that we already have two Imopara release from them. What I can comment about this would be that Moonstone here is managed to improved their design for the fourth (Hiharu) and the fifth sister (Hinata), while as for the rest it's still have the heavy shadow from both of previous Imopara. By the way I like the dress that Hinata wear because it looks cute, which is very ironic seeing that both of Hiyori (Imopara) and Yuzu (Imopara 2) is quite plain looking to me. Like Sekai, Impoara 3 here is also their secret project and in this case it's their second project in which it's already in the testing progress, so perhaps we may have Imopara 3 release in near future. As for the story, well it's still one male MC manage to have a lot of sex with his five little sisters like previous Imopara, and you shouldn't expect good story in the nukige anyway (Although there's some exception in nukige as well in that it have good story).
Mangagamer's biggest release is definitely Damekoi, and it's one of the announcements that I've been waiting since back at AX 2017 along with Eveniicle (Released), Senren Banka (Taken over by Nekonyan), and Nanairo. As for Damekoi, I'll just write the premise here seeing that I already write about the writer at the introduction above, but what I can say is that it's resembled WA2 as well. The premise here is that we have the MC (Osamu) got wasted because he was fired from his job and he also have to face the divorce, and that he slumped on the road being depressed. After that, he saw a woman who offer him a warm coffee and he touched by that. And then Osamu search the woman's address in order to propose to her for three months, only to find out that the woman was have an apartment and currently eloped leaving her daughter (Mitoko) behind. Of course Mitoko was misunderstood that she thought Osamu is the one who took her mother away, so she slapped him. After Osamu managed to resolve the misunderstanding, he decided to help Mitoko as the acting landlord seeing that she's quite frail and Osamu himself also need to do something in order to to pull himself from his depression. From there both of Osamu and Mitoko struggling to take care of the apartment. Go get Damekoi if you interested with it, and have fun.
Almost forget to inform that Mangagamer also have a planned release for the next month as well seeing that they have Damekoi release, and their next release at June is Amrilato. As for the exact date, it's at 13th later so you may as well note that date if you want Amrilato here. Curiously we also have Yumeutsutsu release at that date as well in which it's also GL VN, so I'm kind of wonder if both of Mangagamer and Kogado think that June 13th is a good date for GL (Well at least GL fans should be happy to have two GL VNs release at the same day).
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week is quite dry to be frank with no new announcements and no releases here (Other than something in regard of Higurashi PS3 patch and Gore Screaming Show partial patch released, in which both of those two were partial release). Although if anything, at least we still got some updates from both of Mangagamer and fan translation so it's not totally dry here. As for this week title here, I'd decide to just literally translate an unknown VN title that was release from Arc System Works in PC (World End Syndrome) back at May 2nd into Espranto because we'd have Amrilato was apparently almost ready for the release, and if we remember Amrilato did have the conversation in Esperanto language. With the introduction and title done here, let's see what I can write for this week as well.
From Fakku we'll going to get that apparently they'll release Hemoimo at this weekend here, which to said not really my interest here. But just in case you find cute little sister with Akiko Hana voice that suffer hemorrhoid is really attractive, then perhaps you may find it very interesting (Well hemorroid aside I must admit that the little sister character there (Miu) is quite cute. For other update we also have Frontier was at past halfway (55%) translated, although whether they'll be able to fulfill December 2019 release or not is still unknown though (I hope that Ninetails we'll be able to do the release at that month if possible).
From Mangagamer we have Amrilato beta was finally finished and right now they finalizing the build for the release, so perhaps the release time for Amrilato is getting close. We also have progress for both of WanNyan and NyanCafe with the former was at 35% edited while the latter was at 87% translated along with 85% edited, and for the reminder those two were former Secret Projects (3rd and 5th respectively). Speaking about Secret Projects, Mangagamer decided to add one more so including those two that already revealed we have seven secret projects. For the roundup of secret projects, we have 1st was at 80% edited, 2nd was in beta, 6th was at 62% translated along with 8% edited, and the 7th was at 54% translated along with 51% edited. As for what kind of secret projects that we have here obviously we still no idea, although seeing that Conjueror did retweet 1st current progress it's easy to guess that Conjueror did work on the first project (Although I may read into this too much though).
From fan translation we have Eustia was at 68.67% translated and Loverable was at 63.81% edited. Other than that we have Gore Screaming Show partial patch released, in which apparently the translator decided to retranslated the prologue and the part one, so once again obviously we still didn't have the full patch yet (You can get the patch here if you still want to try it). We also have Tokihogushi patch released, and with that we have 6 out of 10 PS3 arc of Higurashi available in English (For a bit of recap so far we have Tokihogushi, Someutsushi, Kageboushi, Tsukiotoshi, Taraimawashi, and Yoigoshi). As for the next arc that'll be translated, it's Miotsukushi arc in which it's the biggest arc in Higurashi console port, and for the version that'll be translated first is Omote one in that it's PS2 version (Yes we have two version of Miotsukushi with some big difference between PS2 and PS3 version). In any case, seeing that Miotsukushi is apparently absurdly long according to the translator and not to mention it's the first time that it'll be translated, the translation work will took a while here (ie not as fast as previous arcs).
I think that's all for this week and I'm sorry if this week VNTS review here is quite short. See you next week.
