Same here. It's a really... Weird bug. It happens to most, but not all users. Might be linked to your windows version. (Or something else. I have no idea tbh.)

As far as yuri goes, not a lot of those with routes are TLed. SonoHana Nyuu Jene is coming out soon, and that has 3 routes. Lilium x Triangle has a few different pairings too, so that has routes. Other than that, I can't think of any TLed ones from the top of my head.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the physical editions they were selling were the all-ages vita port versions. If he was going to denpasoft wanting an 18+ physical version, that was never an option from SP. Anyways, yeah this does suck, but it doesn't look like it is in Denpasoft's control at the moment, seeing as it is linked to payment processor issues. You can still buy the digital versions from them, and support the creators that way, or do like Nosbebleed said and purchase a physical edition elswhere. (3rd party shipping does increase the cost a bit, but at the very least it means there is an option for you.) Perhaps sending a polite tweet or another email inquiring more about whether or not this is something they think will be fixed in the future is something worth trying out. In my personal experience dealing with Denpasoft, they have replied to all my questions quite openly, so it wouldn't hurt asking them. I wouldn't sign off from them as a whole just yet; this really doesn't seem to be in their control.

Game's can have settings in schools without being generic moe-charage... Don't forget that games like G-senjou no Maou and Dies Irae also have school settings. Doesn't make them generic moe games instantly. (Not saying this particular one isn't, as I haven't played it so I really don't know, but that is a bit of a silly attitude in general, considering a lot of games have some form of school setting, and some form of "cute"-ish CG in them at some point. This doesn't define their genre.)

I think you misunderstand what I mean by censored. I do not mean mosiac censorship, I mean the cutting of H content all together. You are right when you say that the port itself doesn't have H-scenes. (If that is what you meant. Either way, that is what they are using as a reason not to add them.) That literally is the censorship I spoke of earlier. Muv-Luv and Grisaia also worked with ports, but they still made H-patches available, so people can play them both in censored form, and the original form. If this port is put on steam with no H-patch, that will mean it will be impossible to legally obtain an 18+ version of Shuffle in English. (It will still be better than no release at all, of course, but I sincerely hope they do indeed make a patch, so that everyone are happy.)

Ok, so upon simply playing a few more minutes, the same thing happened. What it looks like, is that they take the lines which are uttered by characters, and just... remove them, then sum them up in a single narration. (And sometimes, they don't even do that.) So, this short scene for instance, where the characters were talking among themselves while deciding something, was just replaced with a quick summary in narrated form. (So I guess you do get the same result in a way, but it's done in such an awkard manner.) The characters needed to go look for a lost heirloom, and instead of seeing the characters talk, deciding who goes out to search for it, (which is what happens in the JP version,) you just get one line with this: "after that the other three decided to go look for it, while I was left behind at the shrine. The reason was that Sumire said it was dangerous for me." Something along those lines. ... This is kind of worrying. This level of lazyness is... I don't know. I see no explainable reason why they are doing this. It's not at all H related, so these lines should not be changed or removed at all. I fear your guess on this was pretty right, ChaosRaven. I kind of want this to be some form of mistake in porting the game or something. There is a LOT of lines just... gone. The bulk of the lines still seem to be there, but randomly one will be gone, then another, then a whole conversation is replaced by narration. I'll keep playing and see if it persists through the whole thing.

I don't think it's a machine translation. The parts that are actually TLed are TLed decently well, though a bit literal for my taste. But they are actually missing a few lines in that one scene, which is just very, very werid. I have no idea what happened there. To be honest, it might actually straight up be a technical mistake, as I see no reason why anyone would ever do it. It's only a handful of lines, like 10 or something, so it is really strange. You could be right of course, but I doubt that is the case. Maybe I should tweet them about it, and see if they know what happened there. EDIT: Upon playing through even more of the game, I have found out that this is NOT a one time thing, and it continues through the entire game... I did tweet them, and they are yet to respond. You were most likely spot on. The work put into this release is just lazy. Anyways, bottom line, don't buy this version. If they do add in the 18+ scenes down the line though, it's probably worth it for the people who can't read Japanese. (Though for us who can; just buy the JP version if you want to play this.)

Okay, so out of curiosity as to how censorship was handled in this game, I decided to buy the Steam version as well as the Japanese version, and played the beginning part of each game next to each other. (Short version: I wish I didn't buy the English version-- it was not worth it. Long version:) The result was... dissapointing. I had the idea in my head that the translation at the very least, was handled well and that the only "issue" lied in the missing 18+ content. Well, as I played through the beginning of the game in English, I noticed... there is literally missing dialouge which is important to the plot. (This dialogue is completely unrelated to any H, and happens before the first H-scene.) During the start of the game, when the MC meets the God who governs the shrine, there is actually missing lines of dialogue, which gives direct details about what kind of deal the MC makes with the God etc. But in the English version, it just skips over the details of the deal they make, and come to the conclusion right away, which is confusing. This makes the game look even less detailed and in depth than it already is. In the English version, all you get out of the whole scene is: "You girls must be punished!" "Please don't punish them, punish me!" "Ok." - The end. The details of the deal itself isn't discussed at all. The translation itself seems pretty okay, but it is quite literal and a bit... strange. For some reason, they list "narrator" as a person speaking when the MC thinks. (So, the normal narration from the MC's point of view, which literally uses "me" "mine" I am" and so on, is labeled under "narrator." This is NOT present in the JP game, so it is very confusing.) Now, moving onto the scene that follows after the deal is made-- the first H-scene. It was not completely cut out, but it was handled quite... strangely. They left in a few lines of foreplay, where the MC and Sumire are making out. Then they leave in some of the dialogue that actually happens in the H-scene itself, but don't show the CG. (In this dialogue they establish that everyone loves the MC, and the MC loves everyone, basically.) Important note: No actual sex is described. It's just ... talking. If you didn't know this has H-scenes, you most likely would never know that what is happening is actually sex. THEN they cut the rest out, but leave in the last line, "sumire showered me with sweet love all night long." or something along those lines, suddenly implying that sex occured. Or, at least, kissing all night I guess, lol. This is the only refrence I have found so far, that might somehow imply that there is "sexy things" happening in this game. The rest is removed/ censored. Now, they have also cut out direct refrences to genitalia completely, (examples: there is one little exhange early in the game where Nazuna lies down on the MC's lap, and notices that he has a boner. Sumire then says, "oh, it is still energetic, even after I used it so much last night?" Terrible TL from me there, but you get the gjist of it.) The Japanese game is very crude, using words like まんこ and ちんぽ left and right, even in non H related scenes, (which is not surprising, seeing as it is a nuklge.) Overall, it is a bit worse than I expected. I would just like to say that, anyone who is considering maybe getting this game... please, for your own good, do not do it until a possible patch is released in the future. The way the game is now, it is completely pointless and ... weird.

An all ages version of an eroge is a censored eroge. Also, Shuffle in particular does have story elements in certain H-scenes, like I said before. Wonder how that was handled.

I have started reading the Japanese version, and no, the story is not praiseworthy on its own. Cute, sure, but fairly tame without the 18+ scenes.

It was sadly removed from mangagamer, which means the 18+ version is no longer for sale in English legally. No need to get heated. Yes, there is a lot of people who want 18+ versions of censored eroge, and they have every right to. (It is eroge after all.) If there was an English 18+ alternative, that would be a different story.

I tweeted them, asking if an 18+ patch would be possible, but their reply was that the all-ages version has no H-scenes to begin with. I don't think they understood the question. I see what you did there On the note of Essense+, I think it adds in new scenes into the already existing ones. So, it doesn't just add in something new on the side, but adds it into the already existing scene, making it feel longer and better. Meaning scene X in the common route might not end where it used to, but flows into the new scene instead. I still haven't played the whole game yet, but I felt like I was playing a new version of the common route when I went through that. It also introduces the new characters in the middle of the common route, (most of them at least,) and so seeing as you have new people present from the early stages of the game, that too feels like a new experience. (So it's not like they just slapped on a new route at the end, that randomly just appears.) If Nosebleed has played it all, he might be able to answer better than me

I just gave up on that hope and got the Japanese version a while back... It would be pretty great to have it TLed, but doesn't look like it will happen. So, anyone know who gets the extra routes in the port? Mayumi and Kareha? EDIT: Never mind, it says right there... Well, I guess a censored release on steam is better than it not being sold at all anymore... Though Shuffle is actually one of those eroges where the H contet plays into the story, which might make one particular route in this game hard to understand, unless they add in some extra filler content in this port. Hopefully they make an 18+ patch later on...

We have located the issue. Sadly, the restoration patch kinda sorta messes up the CG gallery, and some CGs might not appear, and some might display incorrectly when you try to view them. I'd suggest just going to that point in the game, and literally just taking a screenshot of them, or finding a high quality version online, if you want to look at them later. As far as I am aware, there is no fix for this with the current restoration patch. (The new translation patch will fix this issue, and you can track the progress on that here:)

Well, thanks to all the talk about this, I caved and got the JP version. (I really have a weakness for kitsune heroines... and nekos... basically any kemonomimi type heroine.) The game doesn't really waste time, and you kinda just jump into an H-scene after a fast introduction to the characters, why the girls have animal features and the God dude who governs the place. Bla bla, short story introduction. The girls are all already in love with the MC, and the harem vibe really is strong with this one. (Not complaining of course. ) All four girls have a unique design which is pretty nice, but Tsubaki and Sumire are my favorites for sure. Tsubaki Sumire I love how their shrine maiden outfits are all different, and suits their unique features. I didn't really expect a deep story when going into this, and so far that was a correct assesment. But hey, it's a nukige, so that should be a given I suppose. Haven't gotten too far yet, but I would imagine I can get through this pretty quickly. Overall, first impression: it looks very nice. The art is pretty, the characters are cute and unique, and... well, boobs and stuff.

Indeed, they are doing a very good job. I also love the way they are so active and responsive with their fans. They have an account on Fuwanovel, which was commenting just about daily for the duration of their kickstarter, and responded to all questions that were asked. Very nice to see that attitude from companies like these.

Meh, who needs buses. You can walk! Games are more important! (I am not a good role model. No one should ever listen to my advice.) It was a shame with the Libra delay, but it will be worth the wait once it comes out. (Some of the CGs in that game... so great.)

Been there. I just spent waaay too much money on VNs this month myself. (And the stupid backerkit on Corona Blossom vol.2 made me buy 60$ worth of extra stuff in addons. Damnit Frontwing, I need to eat! )
