Nah, not that scene. I was refering to the first H-scene. Yamada-kun and the seven witches is actually among my favorite anime ever. I get what you mean though. That is a rather annoying feeling, but in stories as light-hearted as these, I always know it pretty much won't actually end badly, so I just stomach that stuff and fight through it, if it annoys me. I did feel like that a couple of times during Koiken Otome as well, but it didn't happen that much.

Just a quick note about the retranslation on Tsui Yuri. It's not quite from scratch, as I am working off my old TLed lines, and it's only one script, not the whole game. It's basiaclly like they said in the VNTS post, it doubles as a TLC pass really. It's mostly reformating my old TL style, while I also tweak some lines that had some small details left out/ inconsistencies etc.

I loved Yves' route. (Huh. If you skipped her H-scenes, you missed something quite amusing Though, I guess they do talk about that in the standard dialogue too, so maybe not. You'll know what it is if they did.) I did find the H-scene frquency a bit over the top myself too, but they were pretty nice overall, so I enjoyed it nonetheless. ( ) This type of VN is honestly right up my alley. (It seems I really like average stuff, for some reason. My taste is quite strange. It's great though, because it means I honestly just enjoy most things and never really get dissapointed in VNs. Lol.) Anyways, good luck, I hope you don't drop the rest. It is a pretty nice read overall in my opinion. Maybe Touko's dere is what you need to fall in love with this VN.

If you really need extra information that much, I suggest tweeting or emailing them inquiring about it. (Though, seeing as one of their staff already posted here with basically the same answer you get on the 18+ patch info page, I wouldn't hold my breath for the specific reasons down to the letter. They already gave us plenty of information man. It's all there. I don't get how it isn't enough... )

Well I mean, I'm not going to take time out of my day to actually research the specifics of the laws in Japan to satisfy your curiosity. If you care that much about the tiny details about this, I think you are a bit too invested. They said it's because of legal reasons, and it being linked to them being the publisher specifically, not the producers. That's plenty information to understand that this is something out of their hands. Like I already said, Corona Blossom is a very unique example, as it was produced by them, and it was also produced at the same time in both English and Japanese, and they took very specific precautions when releasing the patch in order to not make it possible for Japanese readers to obtain the uncesnored version.

I feel bad for Frontwing, taking the heat for this as if it's their fault. This has already been an established thing in localizations for a long, long time. Not all releases can be decensored, that's it really.... The fact that they are this open and humble about it is really impressive tbh. If it was another company, they would most likely just have gotten fed up with this stuff by now and put down their foot saying "it won't happen." They really are doing a good job of listening to their fans, but they can't do the impossible. If they aren't allowed to make an uncensored version, choosing not to back because of that is just way too unreasonable.

There is a lot of stuff beyond just a company saying "naw man, we don't like that." Mosiacs in Japanese 18+ productions is something that is quite deeply rooted in there at this point. There is the artists point of view, (they might not want it), there is the fear that the game WILL make it to Japan, violating the laws there. (Let's face it; it takes a simple upload and bam, it's done.) Another issue is the fact that these are both Japanese companies, not an English company trying to bring over a Japanese company's production. What I'm trying to say is, a lot of people look at this as, "oh hell no! we don't get to see the vagina without pixels over it? I WON'T BACK!" This is a totally unreasonable argument, as it simply isn't that easy to "just make a patch for the English readers" that has no mosiacs. There is a LOT that needs to be thought out. For all we know, this could be because the artist who worked on the game said no. Or it could be something else entierly. The point here is, if it was that simple, they would of course have done it to please the fans, but the fact is that it simply won't be that easily done. Mosiacs in 18+ stuff in Japan is a seriously complicated thing to understand for westerners I guess, but the fact that it is legit a LAW there should make it pretty obvious that it's taken quite seriously. This is 100% wrong. Just read their post and look at how they are handling Corona Blossom, their own game. They are trying their absolute best to meet this requirement from western fans, but the truth is that it isn't that easy. They said, they really want to do something about this to simply please everyone, but they can't. Please read this to understand what I mean: About mosaic censorship in the 18+ patch

They explain it in the kickstarter. Frontwing is a Japanese company, and so they must follow Japanese laws. This isn't a game produced at the same tme in the west, like Corona Blossom, so they are bound by the Japanese laws when doing this. So yes, they are literally bound by the Japanese laws on mosiacs when they do this stuff. Again, what I said above. There should be mosiacs because they don't have the power to make that choice. It's different for an IP they made themselves, that they can control, like Corona blossom. It's all written on their page about the 18+ version; it's not up to them. Another thing to keep in mind is that a lot of Japanese artists won't want their artwork uncesored, and might pull out (giggity) if they are told they will attempt to uncensor it. These things go a lot deeper than just "we are from the west, we like our porn uncensored!" If it was that simple, alright fair enough, but its not, not by a long shot.

Lol, all the people not backing because there is mosiacs... Its literally the law. Its impressive enough that Frontwing managed to make Akabei Soft cough up the H in the first place. Mosiacs has been a thing in VNs since the dawn of man, so why are people still complaining about them lol.

Ey, welcome back The second one, with the mask is pretty freaking badass, so I voted for that. All 3 look nice though.

My two favorite psychological guro VNs are Nikuniku and Tokage no Shippo Kiri. Great games worth a read if you like this sort of stuff. There is also Maggot Baits, which is a hell of a lot longer, and it is made by the same company that made Euphoria, so you can't go wrong there. For pure guro nukige, check out Rettou Kan, and Senshi Aisha should fit as well. (Basically most games made by Cyclet has some dark side to them, though not all of them are psychological guro games.) (EDIT: Not a lot of these are TLed as of yet, sadly. If you are looking for TLed ones, you are basically left with Dustmania. Nikuniku is being TLed by yours truly atm, and Maggot Baits is being TLed by Mangagamer, so those will be out in English eventually. Other than that though, you won't find many TLed VNs like these.)
