  1. You didn't link the CG right (you can't link exhentai images directly), but no that's not the main heroine.
  2. These are all games they have already confirmed for 18+ release.
  3. Err, which scene are you talking about? People should be playing and talking about this VN more. It's good!
  4. Several games on Steam with absolutely awful translations are rated positively there. Such as Gaokao.
  5. I'm reminded of the $100 t-shirt in the Narcissu kickstarter before they added more stuff.
  6. Well, the only reason for having choices is to have our "what if" scenarios come to fruition. But then again, there are times when a VN would even lack those (like when best girl doesn't get a route ). Having choices is nice and all, but I do like it when we have no choice but to go through an unbranching story. But isn't that the perk of visual novels...... choices? If you eliminate that, what's the difference between a kinetic novel and an e-book besides cute anime girls? There isn't any. But thankfully books are good. And so are kinetic novels.
  7. I think people's hate for Makoto is totally overblown. He's only a piece of shit if you make him be a piece of shit. And it's not hard to avoid the yandere outcomes. School Days was bad for reasons unrelated to both of those factors. The abysmal animation, the plodding dialogue, the frustrating branching system, and so on. I don't know if Shiny Days is any better. I was going to give it a shot when they released the bugfix and restoration patches. Now that they did so many months later, I kinda don't feel like it anymore, lol.
  8. Porting VN engines is pretty trivial, porting 3D technology is a lot trickier, yeah. And you'd have to worry about system requirements, a lot of people basically read VNs on toasters.
  9. So I guess what happened on the 28th wasn't the launch of the kickstarter like I at first suspected, but the announcement of the kickstarter's launch date. I guess I was close enough? Anyways, get your wallets ready January 5th.
  10. He means this: https://vndb.org/r16613
  11. Incidentally, Moogy pretty much implied that he'd be down for a Sakura no Uta translation if given a good chance/excuse.
  12. I'm presuming it's this? That should be sufficient in theory. The 3.3v rail provides enough power for your card, the 12v rail is slightly on the weak side, and I'm a little worried that the thing could struggle if you start adding additional hard drives and that kind of thing, but it should probably be fine. Don't expect to be overclocking anything with it. Regarding noise, that's hard to say. It's a very subjective matter. I currently have four or five active case fans that are all relatively low-speed in addition to a stock heatsink and fan. I suppose my computer is a little on the loud side but I subconsciously tune it out and no longer hear it at all. I also use headphones.
  13. Buying new PCs completely with regularity is wasteful. I usually do a minor upgrade every two or three years. Right now I'm sporting a Phenom II x4 3.2ghz cpu, GTX 680 GPU, and 8GB of RAM. MGS5 ran on max settings at 60FPS. Witcher 3 was nearly capable of that. You ought to be able to play The Witcher 3 on a 660, just turn down a few settings. Rainbow Sixxxxxx Anyone here a big PC know how kinda person? Got a new GTX 970 card and EVGA 500w 80 PSU but not sure if the PSU will be able to handle my system effectively. My current specs (new card/psu not installed): Hidden Content My rig is a bit old which is why I am upgrading it. What's most important for PSUs is the amperage they output. What's the amperage of its 12v rails, how many of them do they have? That kind of thing. 500w is a little on the low side and you might not be able to support too many components with it, especially with a card like a GTX970. You probably should have asked these questions before buying these things, lol.
  14. Unfortunately most translations have really limited vocabularies. I'm pretty sure any random Hardy Boys book would have a wider word variety than your average VN translation. It's one of the reasons I like Grisaia's and now Gahkthun's translations. The translator Koestl has a large vocabulary and utilizes it very well, making every character sound distinct yet natural, and making every scene feel more unique. Speaking of Gahkthun, I'm at Chapter 7 now and am starting to get frustrated by Neon's borderline hetere personality. I almost can't believe what just happened. - Neon in a nutshell.
  15. Play the Maya route. If you still can't get into it, then just drop the VN.
  16. slightly NWS album art, oops
  17. I trust them as much as I trust any other online service. That's probably too much, but I'm a slave to convenience.
  18. There is no translation project for this and there is nothing to help with.
  19. Valve has always had notoriously bad customer service. It's absolutely awful. I remember a year ago they said that they were making improving customer service their biggest priority. All they've done was made more automated systems so people bother them less.
  20. The plots aren't directly connected, but some important events happen to the characters of Cartagra in KnS1, and a major religious organization from Cartagra returns in KnS2. Just read Cartagra first, it's not very long and it's good in its own right. edit: The MC in Cartagra isn't as smart as the KnS one, but there's romance AND lots of people die, as well as a fairly interesting mystery story. It's good, just read it.
  21. As it was a caching issue, nobody should have been able to actually make purchases with other people's stored payment info and claims to the contrary on sites like neogaf appear to be little more than fear mongering.
  22. Thankfully I didn't have any cards saved on it. And I guess they can see my paypal account name? Can't do much with that other than send me money. Send me money, please. edit: Also I'm pretty sure they only ever display the last few digits of your CC number. So this fuckup looks way worse than it really was.
  23. Merry Christmas
  24. There was a point or two where I thought that it would be a matter of weeks for them to release the patch. But I was obviously unaware that this deal was in the works. I hardly see how that's relevant.
