Visual Novel Translation Status (28/07/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS review, and as the title since we have Lilja released with the titular character is the painter, I decided to make the title as 'Poem of a Painter' with the original word is from Sakura no Uta direct translation (Poem of Sakura). As for this week, let's just be blunt that it's very plain with the only notable update is Lilja release. Other than it, I can only say Sekai surprisingly already have set the Steam store one of for their VN, Chiisana no Kanojo, or in English is A Maiden's Serenade, so at least there's something. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Once again Sekai already set the Steam store for Maiden's Serenade (The link), although the release time is only listed as 'Coming Soon' so it may take a while before the release. They also have two surprise updates, namely they have Amairo Chocolata 3 is at 90% translated and Wagahigh FD is at 20% translated. For fan translation, we have Akagoei 3 is at 88.01% edited, Majikoi Ryouken After is at 42.96% edited, Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 17.66% translated. Other than Lilja release, Frontwing also announced the exact release date for Milk Factory 3rd VN, with said date will be in August 1st (is tomorrow), so feel free to note the date if you waiting for the nukige about the MC who isekaied to the big breast succubus academy.
Lastly we have Lilja released by Frontwing, and looks like it's the story about GL even though it's not necessarily for the main couple (The titular Lilja and Natsuka). The premise is about the blind painter Lilja who live together with her assistant Natsuka, and Lilja herself is quite an eccentric painter with her only want to paint things that pique her interest. It should be noted while the writer (Asou Ei) was experienced in writing VN with disturbing stories (And sex scenes) such as Kuroinu and euphoria, the writer himself also write one of Sakura no Uta route (Which people deemed out of place), so he didn't exactly new when it come on writing the VN without the disturbing sex scenes (Lilja itself still has some drama though). Oh yes, Lilja itself has episodic story with Lilja herself accepted the requests to paint her clients who are in GL relationship with Natsuka act as Lilja's eye (Lilja being blind and all) investigate the clients stories. Go get Lilja if you want GL VN with some drama, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (23/07/2023)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll tell it in PS later. Anyway as for this week, let's just say that it's an above average one thanks to Nekonyan's release. Other than Nekonyan's release, we also have Cherry Kiss announce yet another nukige and Shiravune has some announcements. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week here.
We have From Madness with Love VN release, and what I can say is that the VN is about the MC who get transferred into another school because the MC last school was bombed by terrorists (Would be plausible to happen in war zone) will eventually date one of four heroes who are never in the same page with the MC. And yes I keep saying the MC, because the synopsis didn't mention whether the MC is male or female, so maybe this is self insert VN. Either way not my interest, but feel free to try if you're interested with it. For Cherry Kiss newest nukige, it's pretty clear the translator make the parody of Super Smash Bros with the title is Super Smash Gals: Ultimate Orgy. From what I see, the nukige is about the male MC who has his female companions being disgusted with thanks to the MC like to see their big breast, and the MC decide to correct the girls through sex. By the way it's about to be released, with the exact date will be on 28th later.
For some reason, Shiravune decided to delay Succubus Session 1st pat release to be between August or September. Curiously, turned out that their plan to release the 2nd part is actually not supposed to be known by public, so they removed the entry in Johren store back in 21st after said entry is being open for at least a week. They also released Queen of the Otaku back on 18th, and the premise is about two cute girls who enter the manga club with one of the girl is someone who is very popular and didn't like anyone else is more popular than her, so of course the popular girl would end up bullying the other girl (At least that's what I got from the synopsis and review). Lastly, they also announce the exact release date for White Album, and it'll be on August 4th later.
For fan translation section, we have H2O is at 15.8% in QC, Kozue's route of Haruka na Sora is at 41% translated, 908 out of 2499 (Around 36%) main script of Fate/Extra CCC are edited, ChuSingura is at 29.43% translated, Tsuma Netori is at 45% translated, Akagoei FD is at 73.56% edited along with 39.08% QA-ed, and Akagoei 3 is at 37.56% translated. There's a new group with the goal to translate Tsui no Sora Remake with the current progress was at 28% translated song with a quarter edited, although I may as well wait and see until very significant progress happening, such as the release of the full translation patch.
Last but not the least, we have Nekonyan released My Klutzy Cupid which to say is quite surprising seeing that it's Hulotte VN with Shiravune did release one of it's library (Kamiyaba). Like Kamiyaba, the MC still has need to deal with love through supernatural mean, and in this time the MC Tsumugu need to be contend with the titular klutzy cupid Eil. For the premise, we have Tsumugu find a suspicious note called Love Note with the cupid who owned it Eil forcefully pass the ownership to Tsumugu. While it seems that the Love Note can force someone to be in love with the owner, unfortunately he can't just write up the name like in Death Note to do so, but instead Love Note offer the advice to get closer to the name that written in there. Also turned out that Tsumugu only have 90 days to find his love interest, or else he'll not be able to have sex anymore. While the premise is very obviously parodying Death Note, turned out that it also has the story that resemble Bokuten, albeit without 'love can only bring suffering' stuff. Go get Klutzy Cupid if you've been waiting for it, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
PS - For the title, because we have Klutzy Cupid released with someone said that the 90 days limit is like American reality show 90 Days Fiancee (Besides Death Note and Bokuten). Said reality show has the premise of pairing the people from different country with the foreigner receive K-1 visa that require the foreigner to marry within 90 days, or else the foreigner must leave. So yeah, I decided to make the parody of the reality show by changing 'Fiancee' into 'Cupid', especially with the titular cupid would accompany Tsumugu through his love interest searching.
Since we have Snow big progress along with Study Steady release, I'd just change 'Study' with 'Snow' so we have Snow Steady as this week VNTS Review, which to say would fitting Australian seeing that currently they're in winter (Interestingly we have a novel with the title 'Steady as the Snow Fall'). As for this week VNTS Review, we have White Album 2 translator reveal their current situation of the project along with Frontwing finally reveal the exact release date for Sharin and Fakku announced their new nukige VN, so I suppose I can say that this week is more or less an average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review here.
Shiravune finally released the English version of the nukige that was at first only available in Chinese language, although my response is still the same though in that I'll just skip the release. Still you can try the nukige if you already been interested ever since Shiravune did release it in Chinese only language, and have fun. Speaking of nukige, Fakku did reveal that they've been working on the nukige with the name Zero Chastity A Sultry Summer Holiday with the premise that the MC who's the student of all boy school stay in the dormitory that was run by single mom who has three daughter, and the four ladies would happen to be quite hungry when it come to sex and thus it's out MC's job to satisfy them. Anyway currently Fakku already testing the VN in question and they already set the release estimation, in which it'll be at September later. Speaking of release announcement, Aksys announced that they'll release Olympia Soiree at September 9th later. Lastly, we have Frontwing announce the exact release date for Sharin, and it happen to be at tomorrow (15th) so you may get Sharin with the new translation if you've been waiting for it for quite a while.
For this week fan translation updates, we have Harugi was at 19% edited, Eustia was at 91.82% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 56.49% TLC-ed, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 10% edited. We also have Rewrite Oka-ken being released with both chapter was translated, and I only know that it was written by Ryukishi07 along with that it's the bonus for DVD version of Rewrite anime. Well at least it should be good addition for Rewrite fans, so Rewrite fans can read this in case they want to read more Rewrite while waiting Sekai to finished their work on it.
As for Snow, currently the common route of it was fully translated and now the translator about to translate both of Sumino and Asahi's routes. Last but not the least, we have White Album 2 translator team reveal their situation with the current progress that they're about to finished the editing work on Coda (Last part of White Album 2), and that currently the team did some playtesting. There's still no exact date when we'll finally have White Album 2 full translation patch finally released, but the translator did say that the patch should be ready by either at Summer or Autumn later so let's wait and see in regard of the patch later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry if this week here is quite short. See you next week.
Since we have Taisho Alice Epilogue released and that the plot is resemble Oretsuba to a degree (According to this review of Oretsuba, and beware of the spoiler from Oretsuba and Taisho Alice if you want to read one of it (Or perhaps both)), I decided to parodied Oretsuba English title 'We Without Wings' by changing 'We' into 'Alice' so we have 'Alice Without Wings' as this week VNTS Review. Coincidentally Oetsuba has non-heroine character with the name Alice, although she's just side character from what I see. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week it's quite complicated with Laplacian decided to released Aojashin in all age version only along with Study Steady release on Johren only, although on the hand though we have Taisho Alice Epilogue. So all in all, I suppose this week is just slightly less average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
It's just too bad that Shiravune only interested to release Study Steady on Johren only which mean that the customer will need to deal with Denuvo which to say is quite bothersome, although on the other hand at least this time we also have English language as well unlike a certain nukige release. It would be nice though if Shiravune released all of their VNs on Steam again, but considering Valve's treatment on Ryuusei in that they banned it three times I suppose it's asking too much from them (And Valve definitely didn't help at all). As for the premise, well it's more or less just the MC met the heroines and apparently it's more or less like CATION series instead of Smee VNs in that for the most part you'll see the romance between the MC and the chosen heroine. I also know that it happen to has a lot of sex scenes, in that each heroines has 7 to 8 scenes so at least there'll be 30 sex scenes. Anyway go get the VN if you're in mood for some moege with good graphic and have fun. Coupled with Suzukuri Karin-chan release, at least good to see Shiravune being active even though the implementation of Denuvo made their reputation a bit infamous.
Laplacian decided to go all age from now on and they also established PRINCIPIA in which it'll be their 18+ brand, which is not too bad in paper. Except it come with a problem in that they're still in the process of localizing their Magnum Opus Aojashin and as the consequence it'll be all age, which to say would open a can of worm if we recall Pulltop and Harukaze overseas releases because it mean that the sex scenes on that will be removed. Of course Laplacian know the risk, and so the writer decided to add more writing in the overseas release. What I can say is that they can move forward to all age for all I care, but in the end it's unacceptable to not give the option to either read the all age version or 18+ version when it come to the localized VN, especially if turned out that the new contents aren't enough to make up for the censored contents (At least Dies Irae new contents are enough to compensate the loss of sex scenes). Oh well, and for the info there's still no release date on this.
From fan translation we have new update in regard of White Album 2, with the newest update is that they'll add 14 more of the CG from PS3 version so obviously it mean that the engine will be worked for a while (Of course I welcomed that news). We also have Akagoei translator did finished his work on Aya's route and as for the next plan he'll translate Moe's route, and we also have new Yosuga no Sora patch release in which it edited halfway of Motoka's route a lot (The download link for the patch). For the other fan translation updates, we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 46% edited, Harugi was at 18% edited, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 5% edited.
We have age did announce that they'll release Muv Luv Total Eclipse at this year winter, and I only know that it's the first Muv Luv that have the anime adaptation and that age still use the same setting so I'll pass (Good for Muv Luv fans though and at least the graphic is looking good). Almost forgot to mention that turned out Sekai did need to delay their Rewrite+ release (I'm not really surprised by this for the info) seeing that it's still in the work with the current progress was at almost completely translated (98% translated) along with 85% edited.
Last but not the least, we have Taisho Alice Epilogue released in Steam back at 24th. The premise is once again about Alice who somehow can romance the gender bent princesses from the fairy tales, and at each chapter Alice will try to know more what the problem that plague her lovers and do her best to resolve it, and in this epilogue Alice will find out the truth behind the story. With this now we have all Taisho Alice properly translated, and it really came up a long way ever since we see the first part had the bad translation along with the VA did his best to dub all of the heroes lol. Go get Taisho Alice if you either want to play some good otome VN or curious in regard of Oretsuba like story that I mentioned above, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - I know that today we have the releases both of Letters from A Rainy Day and Onigokko, although I'll talk about those two VNs at my next VNTS Review along with (Possibly) several announcements from Sekai at AX Lite.
Once again sorry for being late in regard of this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I just combined 'Childhood Friend' from the nukige that Sekai was suddenly released and 'Sakura' from Sakura Forest Girls that Winged Cloud just released recently so we have 'Sakura Childhood Friend' as this week VNTS Review. As for this week, there's Frontwing new announcement in that it has a lot of big breast heroines and that it's a nukige that'll be released at May later. Other than that, we have Sekai being active and manage to reduce their backlog by one thanks to the aforementioned nukige release and that there's some usual fan translation updates. Overall I can say that this week is a breather after Musicus release, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Frontwing new VN was called Oppai Academy and as expected it has a lot of focus on the big breast, and for the reminder while I did say Frontwing VN their role here is more or less just the publisher for the translated version. The premise is like we have out MC who is the writer of an erotic light novel was sent into another world because of his little sister mistake, and after that he find himself surrounding by a lot of girls who have big breasts while at the same time he find out that he has a magic that can make the girls breasts squirting a lot of milk. As for what I can say, let's just enjoy the visual excitement if I may suggest seeing that it's nukige and all. Anyway Frontwing will release this ay May, so if you like big breast heroines and still not satisfied by Funbag Fantasy 3if then you can wait for this VN. Apparently Frontwing also did delay their Sharin release to May, but seeing that there's no much word from them in regard of that let's just say that Sharin's release was delayed indefinitely until further notice.
From fan translation, we have Eustia was at 87.58% TLC-ed with side route was at 84.50% TC-ed and 72.8% original lines of Summer Pockets was reworked. Other than that, no much to say here so that's all for this week fan translation updates.
Good to see that Sekai did release their childhood friend nukige, and no much to say other than go get the VN if you want to play some nukige that was focused on the childhood friend. Anyway my focus on Sekai here is obviously not on their release, but rather I pay more attention to their updates. As for this week Sekai's updates, we have ReLord Episode 2 was in QA (At least it mean that it's really almost ready for the release), Imouto no Seiiki was at 40% translated, Kimagure was at past three quarter (79%) edited, and Amatsutsumi was halfway done with the engine work which mean at least they didn't need to wait for the engine to start working on it. There's also some secret project announcements from Sekai, but seeing that they did release two of their VNs at Chinese language first I won't keep an eye much of them until they'll reveal it later. In case you want to keep the eyes on it, they're about to start the translation work on the second secret project and their third secret project was already finished both translation and editing process.
That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry if it's quite short here. See you next week.
Welcome to my very belated VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll explain the title at PS later. As for this week, well there's quite a bunch of releases with the biggest one was Nine Episode 4. Other than that, there's also some updates as well with some of those are interesting to a degree. So overall I can say that it's been the biggest week that we have at this year, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Shiravune did release Megasuki in which it gather some controversy along with some sex scenes between the childhood friend who is a member of track club and like to wear glasses. The controversy in question is that Shiravune did release this with Denuvo, which to say that was quite infamous in that it even cause the one who get it legally complained on how it slow down the game performance along with on how they need to connect to the internet all the time. Granted that it might be help to combat the piracy, although using this on short VN seems to be quite overblown and not quite worth the effort. In any case, I can only say that hopefully this is the first and the last time that Denuvo was used in translated VN release. From Fakku we have Perverse Incentives release at today in that apparently has some loli and interesting idea, although I don't exactly know on how much the contents in the VN itself though. Anyway go get the VN if you somehow interested with it, and have fun.
We also have HarmonEy release, and I only know that it's from same company as Tenkiame localization company so perhaps you may keep that in mind because apparently it has some bad translation. That said, if you want to see some slice of life between wife and husband that didn't have much drama, go get the VN and have fun. There's also a nukige from Cherry Kiss and once again it has unique localized name (My Married Cousin's Need for Seed), and apparently it has some sex between cousin because the MC was forced by his family to impregnate his cousin although the MC didn't really mind of it because he's been in love with the cousin and that he's been jealous when said cousin was married and have sex with her husband (So you'll have NTR cousin nukige). Not that it's interesting to me here, but if you interested with it then you can wait until it's released at April 2nd later.
Turned out that Laplacian did ask JAST help for their licensing, because we have their nukige was released by JAST back at 19th. The premise is that we'll going to have the husband tried to satisfy his wife who said as the most horny wife in the world with punny name (Kouguchi Rinko or if you prefer localized name Rikky Horne). Go get the nukige if you interested with it, and have fun. Speaking of Laplacian, turned out that there's a plan to localized their newest VN (And perhaps their Magnum Opus) Aojashin in which currently the translation of it is still ongoing and that there's a plan to release it in both of Englsh and Chinese language along with Steam release as well (The writer's tweet for the proof). No idea on who's the one who handle the localization here, but looking from their recent nukige release JAST seems to be quite possible although as far as I know JAST almost never release their VN on Chinese language though (Or perhaps they change their policy, although it's still too early to tell). Anyway I'll look forward in regard of Aojashin translation progress in the future.
As for this week fan translation, we have Eustia was at 84.42% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 45.27% TLC-ed and side stories was at 65.73% TLC-ed, 21,131 lines from Pure x Connect was translated along with 12,835 lines of it was edited, and Hokejo was at 28.2% translated. There's also Kirikoi KS in which currently it's been at 81,262 euro funded which mean it already exceeded the requirement for Golden Time license in which it's at 75,000 euro funded. That said, in regard of Golden Time I still waiting for the announcement from Nekonyan in regard of that. We also have their 3rd secret project was already approved by Valve which mean it's almost ready for the release, although whether the project in question is a big one or not we must wait until Nekonyan reveal it later.
It's good to see that Sekai finally release Koiama 2 with English language support after they'd release it with Chinese language only. Other than Sekai did release this without English language first, what I can say is that the atmosphere and the character design itself is resemble Gochiusa, so you can get it if you want to read something like Gochiusa (With the addition sex scenes because Gochiusa here didn't have sex scenes for obvious reason) and have fun. Lastly we have Sekai released Nine Episode 4 in which it's the finale of Nine tetralogy, and of course you can get it if you've been holding back in order to play the finale of Nine here. The premise here is that our MC Kakeru finally manage to find out the one who responsible for the petrification in the town, and in order to face the culprit Kakeru did enlist Noa's help along with some other heroines. Of course other than final battle, there'll be some romance as well and in this case Kakeru will have some romance with Noa. Go get Nine Episode 4 from Sekai, and have fun. Oh yes Palette did announce that they'll release new episode at April later, although it's more or less just after stories for Nine heroines though which is more like fandisc to a degree.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and once again sorry for being late here. See you next week.
PS - Since we have Nine Episode 4 release, once again I make the VA joke for this week VNTS Review by changing 'Yuki' to 'Izumi' so we have '9 -Nine- Episode 4: Izumi Noa' here (The title for Nine Episode 4 is '9 -Nine- Episode 4: Noa Yuki). The VA joke here is from Izumi in which it's the family name of Sagiri of Eromanga-sensei (Same author as Oreimo by the way) who has same VA as Noa (Fujita Akane). For the info, there's also anime character called Izumi Noa from the old anime Patlabor, although the kanji writing for both Noa are different.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have Kirikoi trial release along with Hentai Lifestyle release I decided to parodied the latter full title so we have 'How to Live a Healthy Noble Lifestyle' for the title with the 'Noble' word is from the school name in Kirikoi (Noble Private Academy, in which now I'm quite certain that the writer did took GPPC school name seeing that both schools in Kirikoi and GPPC were called 'Noble Gakuen' in Japan). As for this week, I can say that it's very interesting seeing that we have Kirikoi trial release along with several nice announcements from the companies. So yeah I can say that this week is quite exciting if only for the announcements, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Once again Verdellish did deliver steady progress on Slow Damage, and this time we have her translate 83% of it. We also have the update from JAST, in that turned out that they already have a plan to release Dramatical Murder at early April after a delay. While usually we should be wary, seeing that recently JAST like to announce their estimation release when the release time is near I supposed that we should see Dramatical Murder release at April beginning later. Not that it change my mind on that the release is a redundant one anyway, but at least there'll be another way to get Dramatical Murder if you prefer to get it legally. As for fan translation updates, this week we have the original lines of Summer Pockets was at 66.4% reworked and Eustia was at 83.23% TLC-ed with side stories was at 59.53% TLC-ed.
While the KS for Kirikoi is still ongoing, Nekonyan decided to announce the FD of it (Golden Time). Before they announced Golden Time they released the trial of the main VN in which it contain the whole common route (At 10,000 lines), and the reason for the trial release is because the feedback that they got in Aokana KS in that some backers said that they didn't know the heroines enough. So in case you want to see the heroines, go get the trial from either Steam or Denpasoft and see if you like to play the characters route or not. For Golden Time, like the post said they'll license it if they gather 75,000 euro so we need to wait for a while before Nekonyan acquired the license of it (For the info, currently the gathered fund was at 68,052 euro). As for Golden Time, I would say that it's interesting on it's own because you can see the alternative ending of Kirikoi so good luck to Nekonyan in regard of funding.
As for Mangagamer's release (Hentai Lifestyle), it's just a nukige with the premise the MC who manage to live together with a family with the matriarch herself is a hero who stopped World War 3 through sex diplomacy. I can only say that you can get the VN if you interested with it and like the art as well, and have fun. Since Mangagamer did release a VN, naturally they'll announce the exact date for next release but before going to the release let's reveal that Mangagamer did reveal their 9th secret project. The project in question is Chinese Japanese VN with the name Christmas Tina in which it'll depict the story of the encounter of two people from two different countries (Male MC from China and his female companion from Japan), and that it's written by Narcissu's writer. No much that I know other than it's quite well received, and that it's at 69% translated and edited. As for the next release, it's a big one in which they'll release Musicus (Overdrive's Swan Song) at April 8th. It also available on Steam as well, although only at AO section though because Mangagamer need some compromise so that they can add Musicus on Steam. Go note the date if you want to get Musicus there.
We have Island Diary trial release along with the QA progress of it was at 60%, although whether they'll delay the release (Apparently it's still at 19th later) in order to focusing on the QA or not is still unknown. Speaking about release, we also have them planning the release for ReLord 2 and that they'll release Koiama 2 with English language support today (As of now there's still no English language support yet). Lastly as for the big announcement from Sekai we'll have Nine Episode 4 exact release date at 19th later, so you can note the date if you've been holding back to play Nine series because you've waiting for the finale part of it (Episode 4 here is supposed to be the finale of Nine series) to be translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll explained it at PS later. For this week, I think it's less interesting seeing that there's no big release like Rance Quest although on the other hand we have Taisho x Alice Episode 3 release so perhaps it would be very interesting week for otome fans. Other than Taisho x Alice Episode 3 release, we have new project with the goal to translate Hokejo along with some updates from both fan translations (Some of those are quite big) and Sol Press. So overall this week is not too bad, or rather it's quite interesting if we look at the updates alone. Note that by the time I write this I know that both of Sekai and Nekonyan did their big updates (Nine Episode 4 release date announcement and Kirikoi trial release respectively) at the same day today, but I'll save the talking for next VNTS Review. Anyway let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
For Sol Press updates (I admit that I did almost forget that Sol press have their updates at the month beginning), we currently have Sakura Celebration was in QA and Nukitashi was at 90% edited. No much to say other than perhaps we finally can have first translated Windmill VNs at this year and hopefully they finally can work on the rest of their licenses or at the very least have Irotoridori or Nukitashi released, although I know that it's asking too much of them right now. As for Cherry Kiss nukige (Conquer and Breed the Demon Queen), the premise is about an adventurer who somehow summoned the demon queen and he was supposed to making love with the queen until the queen pregnant as per title said in order to fulfill their contract. Go get the nukige if you want to see on how the MC do his best to fulfill the contract, and have fun.
As usual Verdelish did good job with her progress on Slow Damage, and currently it's been at 80% translated. Speaking of Verdelish's work, we have Taisho x Alice Episode 3 release in which this time our female MC Alice will have the date with both of Snow White and Wizard. As for Episode 3 here while granted that the routes are still standalone to a degree, actually it also reveal the plot that already happened since Episode 1 and that it also have one more chapter called Epilogue in which it's tell the conclusion of the story, so perhaps you may wait for a while until the Epilogue released. Still if you want to play it immediately in order to date both of handsome Snow White and Wizard and can't wait for now, go get the VN on Steam and have fun.
As promised I'll tell the updates on Chaos Head Noah, in which they reach three quarter milestone (At 75.80%) translated along with the common route was at 66.21% translated and that they already finished translating both of TIPS and true ending. Other than Noah's update, we also have the lines from original Summer Pockets was at 66.3% reworked, and Eustia was reached 80% milestone (81.97%) TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 44.02% TLC-ed and side stories was past halfway (51.36%) TLC-ed. There's also Amayui patch release in which it did fully translated all of the dialogue that was released back at December. While normally it should be good for Amayui's fans seeing that the interface patch is more than enough to understand the gameplay, too bad that the patch didn't translate the sex scenes. While I know that I will skip the sex scenes when I play Amayui, I would prefer if I can chose to skip the sex scenes and read it later instead of unable to read the sex scenes because it's untranslated. At least you can still read the story of Amayui with the patch, but obviously it's still partially translated because of the untranslated sex scenes so keep that in mind before trying the patch.
For Hokejo itself, the premise is that we have our MC as male school nurse that also work as the one who sent the lost soul and somehow also work together with the loli ghost that serve as the main and single heroine. From there we can see on how the MC will do his work oh how he'll try to help the soul to clear his regret while at the same time the MC get closer to several girls at his school. Other than the story, it's also interesting to note that Citrus here is the branch company of Navel and the writer (Nakahiro) here is also the one who wrote two of FAVORITE VNs (Hoshimemo and Astral Air), so it's understandable if the main heroine here is white haired mysterious loli in which it present at both of his FAVORITE VNs and Hokejo here. Anyway you can visit the translator website here, and currently it's been at past a quarter (26.5%) translated along with 0.4% edited.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - For the title since we have Cherry Kiss Games released their nukige with the title 'Conquer and Breed the Demon Queen' along with the release of Taisho x Alice Episode 3, I decided to make the title as 'Demon Queen and Seven Princes'. For more explanation while the Demon Queen part is very obvious, for the Seven Princes part it's from the number of heroes in Taisho x Alice in which it's seven. I know that not all of the heroes are princes in their fairy tale (Taisho x Alice heroes are based on the gender bender female characters in fairy tale), but since we have Kingdom hearts mentioned seven Disney heroines as Seven Princess of Hearts (With one of those aren't in Disney's film) I think it didn't matter much. For other reason, the title here is the variation of the title Disney version of Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) in which the Snow White here is also one of the hero in Taisho x Alice Episode 3.
Since we have Rance Quest release in which it has one of the character as the devil along with that we have Spice and Wolf DS release, I decide to reuse the title of VNTS Review from back at 2016 so we have 'Stocks and Devil II' as this week VNTS Review title and 'II' is the roman number for 2 in order to synchronize it with the title for Spice and Wolf II anime. As for the explanation of the title, the devil here is from the saying that sometimes wolf is associated with devil, while for the stocks here it's the reference to another work by Spice and Wolf author that was released by Sekai several years ago (It's World End Economica for the reminder). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week it's quite active with Rance Quest as big releases along with some updates by Mangagamer and announcement by Shiravune. Overall I can say that it's interesting, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Apparently Sharin was has yet another delay and currently the plan is to release it in April, although obviously it didn't matter anyway seeing that my reaction on the news about the delay would be still the same in that I still think the Frontwing's release of Sharin is pretty much redundant. It's still too bad though for anyone else who back the KS, especially the one who back PSV version because it was cancelled. Other than Sharin delay, Verdelish did good job with Slow Damage was at three quarter translated. Speaking of Verdelish, her other work will be released tomorrow and in this case it's part 3 of Alice x Taisho so you may get the VN if you interested with playing interesting otome VN. For Shiravune announcement, it's Doukyuusei remake in which it's the remake of very influential VN that was produced from way back at 1992. For now my expectation on this is pretty much quite mild at that, although if the writing can still be interesting even at this year then sure it might be interesting announcement so I'm sort of look forward to it's release at this year later.
I know that we also have Committee of Zero did announce their update in regard of Chaos Head Noah, but I'll save the update for next VNTS. We also have a surprise NTR nukige release with a very long name so much that I shortened it as Tsuma no Niku, in that apparently it has NTR element that involved the landlord and it's occupant along with it have some loli as well, so if you somehow have both of NTR and loli fetish then you can try Tsuma no Miku if you interested with and have fun. Other than the releases, we have the lines from original Summer Pockets was at 65.3% reworked, Pure x Connect did reach the milestone 20,000 lines translated milestone (At 20,062 lines translated) along with 12,433 lines edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 42% edited, and Eustia did has some major milestone with Eustia's chapter was fully TLC-ed along with Licia's chapter was at 44.02% TLC-ed and side stories was at 37.13% TLC-ed (Overall Eustia was at 79.78% TLC-ed). We also have Nagomibako in which it's Cartagra fandisc was fully translated and currently it need some editing works, so you can visit this page if you're interested with and perhaps want to help.
After Rance Quest release, Mangagamer decided to add one more secret project in which it's dubbed as 9th secret project with the current progress was at 69% for both of translation and editing works. Other than that, we have Jeanne was in testing, Funbag Fantasy 3if was finished the testing, 6th secret project was at 81% translated along with 79% edited, 8th secret project was fully edited along with starting the image editing work, Rance IX was at 38% edited, and currently Mangagamer did some finished touch on Musicus along with preparing the release build for it. As for Rance Quest here, I think it's quite well known in that Rance did some careless mistake so he decided to find a way to fix the mistake although he decided to take it easy though by doing a lot of quests. The other thing that I can say is that the combat did resemble Evenicle, although it didn't use BP though for the skills. In any case, you may interested with the gameplay seeing that it's quite well done from what I see although as for the story it's pretty much the breather between Sengoku's finale and Rance IX so just expect lighter story there for most part. Go get Rance Quest if you want to play it, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have sudden release of Wizard's Climber translation patch back at last week along with that the gameplay did resemble Princess Maker to a degree, I decided to parodied the latter by changing 'Princess' into 'Wizard' so that we have Wizard Maker as this week VNTS Review. Also now that I look it further, turned out that instead 156 weeks like Romanesque in Wizard's Climber you'll only have 144 weeks based on the fact that each years has four weeks and 12 months, and that you have time limit three years to train the female mage into a good wizard, so it's clearly not apply Romanesque time in which Romanesque did apply that each year has 52 weeks and that you have same time limit (Three years) to train the two apprentices into the good wizards. As for this week, we only has the updates (Mostly from fan translation) along with bad news from Alicesoft in regard of Evenicle 2, so I can only say that this week is quite plain compared to last week. That said, let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
I guess in the end Alicesoft's effort to allow Evenicle 2 to be sold in Steam including silently cut the first sex scene was amounted to nothing, because Valve still decided to ban the VN from their storefront. I can says a lot more in regard of that ban, but let's just say it that once again Valve did prove that they're really fickle when it come to the censorship or what kind of VN that should be allowed in their store front. Anyway now that Steam ban Evenicle 2, right now Alicesoft can only rely on the store that allow them to sell 18+ contents so hopefully they'll get the new store in the future with Evenicle 2 here will be obviously uncensored because there's no need to adhere Valve's rule anymore now that they already ban it. There's also Abaddon in that apparently Fakku still try to get ready with this, although it's not like my taste anyway even with gameplay and all (Well at least it has some variation in sex scenes if anything else).
Mangagamer did announce that they'll release Hentai Lifestyle at March 11th later, and in regard of that I can only say good for them now that they got March release (Unless Mangagamer want to announce their next release after Rance Quest later). Sekai (Or rather Denpasoft) did announce that they manage to get a license for an Orcsoft VN in that it's obviously a nukige, and the nukige title in question was localized as Childhood Friends with Benefit in that turned out it's one of their secret project. Well at least Sekai did manage to localize the VN that has a lot of passion, although I prefer them to focusing the passion on either Harukuru or Amatsutsumi if possible. JAST did has Dramatical Murder trial released on Steam (The link to the Steam store) in that it translated the common route, so perhaps you may try it if JAST did translate common route better compared to the old fan translator. Lastly we still has Verdelish working on Slow Damage, and currently she has been translated 62% of it.
This week we have Kokoro Connect VN translation project (The Github page for more info), in that the goal is to translate the PSP version of Kokoro Connect which from what I see is just usual self insert MC with the goal to date female cast of it with the story is basically non-canon. Another thing that I know is that two of the VA did involve in a scandal that can be summarized as prank goes too far, and as the result of the prank there's a lot of shakeup happened including the change of the opening from episode 10 onwards (Usually 12 episodes anime didn't change the opening) along with the decision to scrap season 2 plan by changing it into released four episodes of OVA. The anime scandal aside (That I just learnt of it recently), good luck to the team in regard of the project. For the progress, currently they manage to translates 1,308 out of 17,236 lines and that there's already partial patch released back at last year.
Ittaku did state at his tweet in regard of Harugi in that he's job is now finished and he leave the rest to the other translator, and just in case it didn't work out (ie stalled) for a long time he decided to release the patch to cover what was already translated and edited in there. For now I can only say good luck to the other translator of Harugi, and hopefully he can finished the last 23% untranslated text of Harugi there. For the rest of the updates, we have Akagoei's translator finished translating Tae's route and now he's move on to translate Aya's route, and Eustia was past 70% mark (70.31%) TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 42.09% TLC-ed along with Eustia's chapter was at 63.63% TLC-ed.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/07/2021)
Since we have JAST decided to release Eiyuu Senki GOLD on 5th (JAST are so busy preparing the release though, so much that they can finally release it at around 2 AM Californian time which mean technically they delayed one day from their exact date release estimation) suddenly and that in there we'll have 70 famous characters from across the history just like Fate franchise, I decided to parodied the (in)famous Fate/Grand Order by change 'Grand' to 'GOLD' so that we have Fate/GOLD Order as this week VNTS Review (For the info in GOLD you didn't need to spend 4,000 dollars (Real money obviously) just to get all of the characters). Other than GOLD release, we also have several other releases along with some juicy updates from fan translation so I can say that this week is more lively and interesting compared to last week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Verdelish here manage to translated more than halfway (54%) Slow Damage, so no much to say other than she keep doing good job in regard of steady progress. As for GOLD, the battle system is still the same and of course the number of the heroines with the original along with the writer (Speaking of writer, I just remember that she did write Sengoku Rance and thus she can add Sengoku Rance Kenshin as one of heroine unit). The difference is that TENCO did improved some units and that they create the new storyline in which instead of Himiko this time our MC was getting closer to Masamune (Obviously Masamune here is female as well along with all of the historical characters just like in the original), and one way or another the MC will eventually conquer the world with the new villain that attempt to make the chaos in the world once again. That said, for GOLD here apparently the story is not as good as the original although in exchange TENCO did add more events with the heroines, so you may consider which is the best to play whether if you favor story or gameplay. Go get GOLD from JAST if you interested, and have fun.
Other
Turned out Nekonyan did prepare for the Kickstarter, and this time they prepared to held KS for Kirikoi at the middle of the month later (Possibly at Valentine or if they want to be earlier at Chinese New Year later). What I can say is that since they already have the plan to release Kirikoi even if the KS is fail and that there's no plan to merge the FD contents into it (Because the engine for main game and FD are different), I'll just say that I'm more interested to see Nekonyan's delayed monthly updates along with their revelation of their secret projects or if I may be blunt I'm not interested with the KS later. Still good luck with the KS, although looking from Aokana KS I think it'll be successful as long as Nekonyan didn't ask something like 85,000 and yet didn't put much effort on promote it like back at Irotoridori KS that Sol Press did. Speaking about Sol Press, recently they post their update with only one notable update in which they currently manage to get Nukitashi was at 80% edited.
Cherry Kiss released yet another of their nukige, and this time the title is quite unique in which it has the word pussy. To be fair though other the slang for (Sorry) vagina in which some green minded people use to refer it as such pussy here can actually mean kitty, and thus the nukige in there has catgirl heroine. Feel free to get the nukige if you interested with it, and have fun. Fruibat did release the trial for MAMIYA in which it's one of the work that the late Conjueror translated, and apparently they still on track to release it at Spring later. We also have age finally released Muv Luv Unlimited The Day After, in which it's one package for four episodes of Alternative Chronicle. I only know age did milk expand the setting of Alternative through Chronicle, so if you're Muv Luv fans and want to get more of Muv Luv then go get it and have fun (By the way the first two episodes are redundant because we already have those two being translated for a while).
Fan Translation
We have quite a number of updates from fan translation along with two releases of new VNs, and as for the first release it's lesser known VN with the length at half hour along with featuring the simple story in which boy met girl and fall in love at spring (Feel free to get the VN if you interested with it and have fun). For the updates, we have Tae's route of Akagoei was at halfway translated, the original lines of Summer Pockets was at 61.7% reworked, Yuuna's route of Harugi was fully translated with the overall was at 77% translated, Chaos Head Noah was at 63.98% translated (Common route was past halfway (50.27%) translated, Nanami's route was fully translated, True end was past halfway (54.95%) translated, and TIPs was at halfway translated), and Eustia did show some significant TLC progress with the current progress was at 69.08% TLC-ed (Side routes was at 10.63% TLC-ed, Licia's chapter was at 41.89% TLC-ed, and Eustia's chapter was past halfway (54.95%) TLC-ed).
Almost forget to note that we have Committee of Zero did release the patch for DaSH, in which it retranslated some lines and more importantly add mouse support for DaSH. I would say that even if you didn't mind much in regard of the old translation, the mouse support here is still very useful to have seeing that Spike Chunsoft didn't do enough effort to add it to the initial version of Robotic Notes. As for DaSH itself, okay I admit some contents can be entertaining and interesting if you like Robotic Notes casts, although I still can't agree with MAGES decision to shoehorn Daru as second MC though. Lastly we have Wizard's Climber sudden release in which it's the VN from now defunct Softhouse Chara (Same company as Bunny Black) with the gameplay did resemble Princess Maker in that you must raise a female mage within three years with one turn represent one week (So we have 156 weeks just like back at Romanesque), and that the female mage in question was a victim of family betrayal and she want to avenge her family. Go get Wizard's Climber if you interested with it, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (01/31/2021)
Since we have ReZero VN release and that the MC (Subaru) VA did have a role as Trails of Cold Steel MC (Rean) as well, I decided to parodied it by changing 'Steel' into 'Body' because Subaru here is keep dying (Poor him) and surely we know that one of the sign that the people is dead is that the body of the people is cold. By the way this time I didn't mean that both of Subaru and Rean did share same Japanese VA, but instead both characters are voiced by same English VA (Sean Chiplock). As for this week, while release wise is not that interesting to me (I understand though if ReZero fans like the VN of it was released) at least the updates here are more than make up for it. One particular example here is Rance Quest release date announcement, and other than that we also have Sekai finally prepare Nine Episode 4 release. Overall what I can say is that this week is less lively but still interesting as well, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
We have Harlem Blade 2 release in which while it's the sequel of first Harlem Blade this time we'll have different MC. No much to say other than at least it's available for Windows version, and that it's not censored because GIGA won't interfere fan translation by asking the translation team to censor the sex scenes (Even if somehow GIGA care enough to ask censorship from fan project, I still won't interested for Harlem Blade 2 here). Well go get Harlem Blade 2 if you somehow interested with it because of the old school RPG gameplay, and have fun. Speaking about RPG, we also have Mangagamer announce the exact release date for Rance Quest like I say beforehand, and the release date of it will be at February 25th later so note the date if you want to purchase Rance Quest from Mangagamer's site.
As for ReZero VN, the premise is that there's one extra candidate of the throne who in turn cause chaos so much that the blame is go to one of particular person (Emilia). Since Subaru here would do anything for the sake of Emilia (From what I know), naturally he'll do anything to clear the chaos and of course find the extra candidate who cause the chaos in the first place. For more elaboration, in ReZero there's an event called Royal Selection with the goal to chose the 42nd ruler of the nation in ReZero (Lugnica), and currently there's five candidate with one of those candidates are Emilia. In any case the other information that I has is that it'll be a gameplay VN with SRPG as the gameplay, although I don't exactly see on how the battle will carried on from the trailer alone. Go get ReZero VN if you've been ReZero fans and want to see more of it, and have fun. Almost forget to note that at least both of original writer and illustrator here are also participate in the VN development here unlike Saekano, so you can expect that the story will be faithful to a degree.
JAST did tease an image with yellow world map in their tweet, in which it's pretty much obvious that they tease Eiyuu Senki GOLD. Although since they already license it, the only thing that they can tease is that it's more than possible that they almost ready to release it, so hopefully we'll be able to have GOLD released at this year. Verdelish here is also quite steady with Slow Damage translation work, with the current progress was at 46% translated.
Sekai did finally released Dragon Princess, and I can only say that good for them to have their backlog reduced by one VN. Other than that, well granted that the graphic is not too bad and that it's short enough so that you may play it if you somehow need more Nekonin/Nekopara like VN. Too bad though that Sekai chose short VNs from Whirlpool instead of trying to get more interesting VNs from them such as Suzukaze no Melt or Wataridori no Somnium, but then again the license prices for those two VNs might not come as cheap compared to their short VNs. In any case go get Dragon Princess if you interested with it and have fun. Other than Dragon Princess release, we also have some updates from them with both of ReLord 2 and Love Sweet Garnish 2 was in QA and more importantly Sekai did prepare the release of Nine Episode 4 by them preparing the Steam store page of it. No comment other than I hope the preparation for Nine Episode 4 release will going smoothly, and so that's all in regard of the update from Sekai.
Other than the aforementioned of Harlem Blade 2 release, we have a number of updates from fan translation. As for the updates, we have 19,727 lines of Pure x Connect are translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 41% edited, Gore Screaming Show was at 17.99% translated (First update in a while), Harugi Yuuna's route was at 96% translated, and the original lines of Summer Pockets was at 57.7% reworked. As for Eustia's TLC progress, we have some significant progress with the overall was at 66.38% TLC-ed with the detail Eustia's chapter was at 47.14% TLC-ed, Licia's chapter was reached 40% mark (40.10%) TLC-ed, and the TLC for side stories was already started with the current progress was at 2.29% TLC-ed. Last but not least we have White Album 2 progress from the Discord, in which they already fully translated Coda part (Except the sex scenes) with them already have some major progress on Closing Chapter routes editing (Koharu's route was fully edited, while Chiaki's route was almost finished, and Mari's route will follow shortly), and all that's left is sex scenes and digital novels translation along with lot of editing works for the remaining works (Especially Coda).
That's all in regard of VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (01/24/2021)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since there's an unique VN that Alcot created with the cooperation of hololive (Sakura-iro Dreamer) has full translation patch release along with we have a progress on Sona-Nyl, I combined 'Sakura' from Sakura-iro Dreamer along with 'Memories' from Sona-Nyl's full title (Shiei no Sona-Nyl -What a Beautiful Memories-) so we have 'Sakura Memories' as this week VNTS Review. As for this week, I can say that this week is more lively thanks to a certain big release, and of course it should goes without saying that the big release in question is not Sakura-iro Dreamers. Other than the release, we finally have Mangagamer updated their projects after some time with no updates and some of those updates are quite interesting. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review.
It's not surprising to see that Sekai delayed their Rewrite release from January to Q2 of 2021 later (ie June's end at the latest) seeing that there's no much update happen in regard of the translation progress. Sekai also stated that their difficult situation in regard to have new translator to coordinate their work in order to be consistent with the translated scripts from the older translator who naturally quit thanks to his fatal life choice, although I can only say that I didn't mind of it too much seeing that it's more or less just a redundant to me. If anything, at least it's allowed them to put more focus on Nine Episode 4 which Dovac said at the Discord that they'll release it at Q1 2021. I know that it's still unknown whether Sekai can release Nine Episode 4 at March's end or not, but let's just see it later considering that they'd quite fast when working on that.
Right now we have Verdelish manage to translate 40% of Slow Damage, and as of now we also have some surprise new project. The project in question is Taisho x Alice Episode 3 in which the Steam store for that was already opened (The link to the Steam store), and the release was estimated to be at March later. As for Taisho x Alice itself, now that we have three volumes translated in English it mean that we only need one volume to be translated in order to have Taisho x Alice fully translated. By the way I did some searching about Taisho x Alice, and find out a review which did say that Oretsuba of all VN did remind the reviewer of Taisho x Alice so perhaps Taisho x Alice might be something to consider if you want to play some otome VN.
As for Mangagamer updates, right now we have one more secret project in which they dubbed it as 8th secret project with the current progress fully translated along with 80% edited, and speaking about secret project we have slight updates in regard of 6th secret project with both progress are past three quarter (78% translated along with 76% edited). No comment in regard of secret projects other than I hope that the projects would be something interesting. As for the other updates, we have Funbag Fantasy 3 If was in testing, Sona-Nyl is finally have image editing process ongoing, and both of Musicus and Hentai Lifestyle are finished the testing. For a little bit trivia, Mangagamer did say that the steps in their translation progress are translating then following with editing, image editing/programming, testing, and lastly some cleanup before release the VN. So after testing both of Musicus and Hentai Lifestyle would need some time for cleanup before the release, and cleanup here is mean taking care of the bugs that may be missed in the testing or some other technical problem. That's all for Mangagamer's updates.
For Sakura-iro Dreamer, the premise is about on Sakura Miko daily life or something like that. For the info Sakura Miko here is a virtual Youtuber (Her channel if you want to know more about her), and her agency is hololive. No much to say other than the VN may be interesting if you're Sakura Miko fans, so go get the VN if you want to try it and have fun. For the updates from fan translation, right now we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 40% translated, Tae's route of Akagoei was at one third translated, Yuuna's route of Harugi was at 92% translated, and Eustia shown some significant progress in TLC with the current number was at 63.94% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 37.61% TLC-ed along with Eustia's chapter was past a quarter (35.47%) TLC-ed. We also have Alka did continuing their work on reworking the lines from the original Summer Pockets, and currently they managed to get more than half of the lines (54.3%) reworked.
For the big release that I talk about, it's obviously Utawarerumono remake for PC which mean that you finally can enjoy the improved gameplay with the first part of Utawarerumono story. While granted that the release is arguably redundant because we already have Mirror Moon released the translation patch for the original version back at 2008 and that the's no much change in graphic, the gameplay improvement in the remake version is actually quite nice because the gameplay in original is outdated compared to the rest of Utawarerumono trilogy. Another thing to note is that it didn't have the sex scenes because Leaf did backport the console version to PC version, which mean technically the remake version was censored. Although considering several factors I can understand if Leaf decided to not add the sex scenes in the remake, and it's not like the case of Yoake, Aselia, and Baldr Force in which those three VNs didn't have the sex scenes translated. In fact if you feel that the VN is censored, at least you can play the original version. Anyway go get Utawarerumono remake if you want to play it either because you already wait for it or want to see the gameplay improvement, and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Since we have a news in regard of Ginaharu, of course I use the title 'Silver Colored Faraway' here and 'Track 6' is mean that I use the title for the sixth time. Unfortunately the news that we have here is not a good one though, hence 'Requiem' in the title, and if you know about Catholic church requiem here is mean a Mass celebrated for repose of one deceased soul or in music term Requiem here is the last Mozart's work before he passed away. Also once again I use the title from one of Kanon 2006 episode, and in this case it's episode 10 (Requiem Atop the Hill). I'll explain more in regard of the title at PS later. As for this week, other than the news about Ginahru it's quite a plain one to sum it up because there's no much updates at this week, although Nekonyan here did reveal that they have two more secret projects at their Discord so it's a bit of interesting. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Admittedly Trip drop Ginharu is understandably very upsetting because it mean that he drop it after he translate two thirds of it and not to mention that people hoping that he'll continuing it after the hiatus, but if we think several breaks that he tooks in the past it's not surprising that he decided to drop it. I understand that its very disappointing, but what I can say is that unless we can have Mizuha's patch being released immediately just by throwing a tantrum with saying that it's either waste of time or nobody will trust Trip, it's pretty much pointless to do those so what can we do here is just try to move on. While Trip decided to drop Ginharu here Irru still want it to be finished, so if you want to help him or know a translator who willing to finish the last one third of Ginharu you can call Irru later through his Discord (The invite link here).
Cherry Kiss did release another isekai nukige VN in which it's about the MC who supposed to not have superpower at first only to have his power to be awaken thanks to a drug later, and let's just say that you can play it if you interested and have fun. Verdelish still do good job with Slow Damage in which currently it's at 36% translated, and turned out that we also have Nine Episode 4 already starting the QA for some times. As from where you can see the progress, turned out that Sekai decided to add that important update in their Denpasoft tracker instead of their usual tracker (Currently the status on their usual tracker for Nine Episode 4 is that they're starting the QA soon). We also have Nekonyan announced that they have two more secret projects, although in this case they only reveal it at their Discord though in that they made two additional channels for discussing the secret projects, and you can try to guess their next projects at their Discord. Of course we still don't know what're their projects are, so for now we can only wait for Nekonyan to reveal their secret projects later (I assume that they'll reveal the projects in February at the latest based on this tweet).
For fan translation, we have Loverable was at 94.71% edited, Eustia was at 60.92% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 36.26% TLC-ed, and Harugi was at 76% translated with Yuuna's route was already past 90% mark (91%) translated. Lastly there's also Alka's progress on reworking original Summer Pockets, and currently they manage to reworking the original line in which currently it's been at 46.8% reworked.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry if it's been too short here. See you next week.
PS - For more explanation in regard of the title, I change words 'the Hill' in Kanon 2006 episide 10 title into 'the Snowing Town' so we have 'Requiem Atop the Snowing Town' as this week VNTS Review. Snowing Town here is also the title for one of Ginharu's soundtrack, and also it's the title screen theme.
As for this week title since we have Winged Cloud decided to release Sakura MMO Extra along with that we have Gekkou no Carnevale release back at Christmas, I decided to combined 'Sakura' with 'Automaton' so that we have Sakura Automaton as this week VNTS Review title. It should be obvious on why I chose the word 'Sakura', while for 'Automaton' here it's because in Carnevale we have living dolls which resemble human and based on Oxford dictionary one of the meaning of automaton is 'a moving mechanical device in the shape of a person' which to say fitting for the living doll in Carnevale (The story even wrote that the city is famous for automata (The plural form of automaton)). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week compared to the last week it's a bit plain in that there's no new announcement or release, although we have Shiravune announce that they're about to release Utawarerumono remake for PC. Other than Shiravune announcement we also have some updates from fan translation and Sol Press, so I guess this week is more or less just an average one. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
Currently we have Slow Damage was at 31% translated, and since we already have the release date of Japanese version at February 25th along with JAST said that they'll release it few months after Japanese version release, safe to say that we may have it released at this year (Hopefully). As for Sol Press updates, we have Nukitashi was at 60% edited and the QA build for Sakura Celebration is being finalized. No much update admittedly, although at least Sol Press has some progress on Sakura Celebration in which it's possibly their next release. If anything at least Sol Press still willing to work on their remaining VN licenses even a bit, although it's still too bad though that they cancel the contract with Laplacian and as the result currently there's no way to license their newest VN which is pretty well received. Oh well.
For fan translation, we have Loverable was at 94.01% edited, Harugi was at three quarter translated with Yuuna's route was at 82% translated and Misaki's route was at 22% translated, and Eustia was past 60% mark (60.85%) TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 35.90% TLC-ed and Eustia's chapter was at 15.39% TLC-ed. That's all for fan translation at this week.
As expected the news about Utawarerumono that Shiravune will announce back at 7th is in regard of Utawarerumono remake release for PC (Which technically is a redundant one), and they also already announce the release date of it in which they'll release it on 22nd later at their tweet. With it finally the PC player can enjoy the improved gameplay of Utawarerumono seeing that the original's gameplay is quite outdated to say it nicely, although in exchange it didn't have sex scenes though because it's the backport from console version and that Leaf already decided themselves to only make console VNs. Well at least it's not Yoake, Aselia, or Baldr Force cases in that we can't even see the sex scenes translated. Last but not the least we have Kirikoi open the Steam store for it along with announced the release estimation, in which it's on Q1 of this year which range from this month up to March's end. I still don't know when we'll going to have it released, but I can say that it would be nice to see Nekonyan release it as their Easter gift at the very least.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
As for this week review since we have Musumaker partial patch released in which it's at 56% translated along with the release of Sakura MMO 3 back at 7th, I decided to combined both title so we have 'Sakura Brothel' as this week VNTS Review. As for the Sakura part it's pretty much self explanatory, while for the 'Brothel' part it's from Musumaker in which our MC was happened to inherit the orphanage that turned out to be the brothel when the MC must train the small girls that into a fine prostitute (Don't be fooled by the sweet cover of Musumaker, because the sex content of that VN was quite hardcore (Not as extreme as euphoria though)). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and the main feature of this week is the updates from both of Nekonyan and Sol Press along with usual fan translation updates. We also have a releaseS, although it's a nukige and some partials though so it's obviously not a big release. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
From Sekai we have their fourth secret project that was apparently will featured catgirls again was at 60% translated and edited, and Nekonin 3 was at 92% translated and edited. We also have JAST announced their exact release date for Mamono Musume, in which it'll be at July 3rd later. Safe to say that they put their effort in the projects that didn't took my interest here, but at least JAST did started to giving the routine updates so I guess that's something.
As for the release from fan translation, it's this nukige in that we'll going to have our MC who somehow suffered a curse in that the MC (Hideki) can only drink the breast milk and to get rid the curse he must ejaculate (I assume that the curse will come periodically). Fortunately that his sister in law (Sayaka) was more than ready to provide the mean of the breast milk and a way to get rid of the curse because she was grateful for Hideki (Sayaka was taken care by Hideki when she's being pregnant and Hideki's older brother was being dead), so Hideki didn't need to suffer from the curse for very long. And you better not to think about this seriously other than you supposed to enjoy the sex scenes between Hideki and Sayaka, and doubly so if you have lactation fetish. Speaking about nukige, we have Taimainin Asagi Zero did released their 70% translated patch back at May 26th, so at least it mean that we already have Asagi Zero was at 70% translated.
For this week progress roundup, we have Eustia was at 71.27% translated (Eris's Chapter was at 3.52% translated) along with past halfway (50.27%) edited, Miotsukushi Omote was past three quarter (77%) ported to the PC, Loverable was at 65.96% edited, 3,825 lines of Pure x Connect are edited, and Watamasu was at 89% translated. Also for the reminder we have Musumaker 56% patch released, which mean that at least we have Musumaker was at 56% translated in which it's been a while since we see the progress for that. For the last release, we have Gore Screaming Show new partial released in which it's also retranslated the day two of that VN as well so good for them that the project is still ongoing.
This week we also have PQube announced some less known VN (Raging Loop) in that Lemnisca will take care of the translation side, and that apparently it's quite good seeing that it's already got average score at 8.20 from 30 votes which to say is quite good (Most of the votes were at 8). As for the premise, our capable MC (Haruaki) was break off with his girlfriend and he traveled alone to forget her, and he came to a mysterious village in that he was killed by a mystical wolf at his first night. Of course Haruaki was turned back to the time before he killed instead of permanently dead, and that he find out the village did have a secret namely some of the villagers are the wolf spirit that ready to kill the rest of the villagers. So the villagers job is to find out whose the wolf among them and executed the false villager, and seeing no other choice Haruaki decided to join the villagers to find the wolf spirit and hopefully find out the way out of the village. As for the technical aspect, apparently the seiyuu are mostly newbie and that they'll release it for console only (Although perhaps they may have Steam release plan in the future).
For the roundup of the progress, we have both of Sol Press and Nekonyan did compile their progress. From Sol Press, we have Onikiss was at 88% translated along with 85% edited, Nukitashi was at 8% translated, the translation for Mirai Radio was about to start, Kimiaogi's QA was in progress, and the translation for Himawari no Kioku was already started. They also have two secret projects that were already fully translated and edited, although seeing that they also involved in light novel I'm still uncertain whether those two projects were VNs or not (At least until they announce it at AX later if possible). From Nekonyan seeing that Aokana was almost finished with 95% translated along with 70% edited and 5% QC-ed, it's certain that this'll be their next release (They even say that at this tweet) so I'll look forward to the time of the release in which it's probably at this year if all goes well. For the rest of Nekonyan's project, we have Hello Lady was at 40% translated, Senren Banka was at at quarter translated and edited, and Makeover was at 40% translated and edited.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for be very late here. As for the title, I'll tell it at PS below. Anyway, as we know we have AX several days ago, and as for the announcements let's just say that it's still quite lukewarm even though I knew I shouldn't expect much more of it anyway. That said, there are some interesting highlight when it come to this year AX, so at least it's still quite noteworthy to a degree. Overall, this week is an almost interesting one thanks to AX, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Before going to AX announcements, let me write the updates for this week. First of all, we have the company plan to release Knight Case File sometimes in this year, so feel free to note the release time in case you want to play it. For fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 81.48% edited along with 15.96% in QA and Karenai Saku is at 81% translated. Last but not the least, we have Floral Flowlove is fully edited, although it should be noted that said update is not outright confirmed by the staffs themselves with it only appear in the progress bar of their site, so we may need to wait until Nekonyan fully confirmed about it, probably at Otakon in which they're planned to attend it and possibly announce their secret projects.
For AX announcements, first of all we have both Aksys and Idea Factory announced four Switch only otome VNs. From Aksys, we have Mistonia and Uchronia. For the former, it's about a girl who lost everything decided to take the revenge to everyone who had been wronged her, while for Uchronia it's about the sheltered girl who live in the floating city encounter the amnesiac handsome man who involve in the incident related to the hidden truth behind the floating city. Aksys also already have the release estimation for both, with they will release both sometimes in the next year. From Idea Factory, we have Senjou no Waltz and Teminara with both coincidentally have the female MC cursed in different way (Senjou no Waltz MC is wielding the cursed sword, while Teminara MC was said to be cursed). For the release plan, like Aksys they'll also release both of their otome VNs sometimes in the next year, so yeah four Swith only otome VNs to look forward to in 2025.
Mangagamer announced two title, with the first one is related to the princess knight nukige that Shiravune released, and said title is The Alchemist & His Battle-Scarred Homunculus. For the premise, it's about the alchemist who has been betrayed by his kingdom because he didn't like to using homunculus as tool of war. One day, he find discarded female homunculus with her use for war is already over, so the alchemist decided to take care of her even with he know the age span of the homunculi are quite short. The second announcement is Rose Guns Days, in which as we know it's been available in English ever since 2015. That said, it came with the updates, although said update is unfortunately not adding the voice (So no Yukari Tamura as Stella or Daisuke Ono as Philip), but instead it's just graphic update into HD which may be necessary for high spec PC. Anyway, RGD is obviously redundant to me, but at least it should stop people spam Mangagamer survey with it.
Speaking of HD update, we have Sekai decided to re-release Nekopara series into HD, which sounds like desperate milking because the series itself is already have good production value. Then again, maybe some fans still want to play Nekopara in higher definition for some reasons, so if you really want to play (Or maybe replay) Nekopara Volume 1 in HD then you can wait for it. For more important news about Nekopara, we have Nekopara After (Or as I call it Nekopara 5) was currently in production and set to be released in next year. We also have them announced the last part of Amairo Chocolata trilogy with they tried to have it released in at the latest December 31st, and let's see if the release is also has available English text or just has Chinese only translation. Lastly, they have plan to release Akaneiro sometimes on this year with it somehow already in programming despite the last update of it is still at halfway translated, so let's see if they can fulfill it (Also hopefully they meant English translation and not Chinese only translation when they bring that announcement at AX).
Lastly we have JAST bring the most announcements at five, although three of those (Seira, Hanamaru 2, Cornelica) are just nukige so only two are noteworthy. The first announcement is Dead End Aegis fandisc which is the fandisc for dark magical girl VN Dead End Aegis. This should be good fandisc for the fans seeing that it mean they'll going to see more Metawo's good arts with he also drew new suffering magical girl. The last announcement is Daiteikoku, which as we know is Alicesoft VN who mainly work with Mangagamer in regard of Rance series. For the premise, it's about a man who is a playboy tasked to rebuild a ruined army with the man do it very successfully so much he attempt to take over the world. From what I hear, it didn't have good reception in regard of the story and gameplay compared to the other Alicesoft VNs, so maybe I need to temper my expectation. JAST also mention that it's still at the early stage of work so it may take years for the release, and good for them for being honest.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - For the title, because we have Sekai give us update in regard of their desperate attempt of milking Nekopara along with JAST announced Daiteikoku, I decided to combined both so we have 'Neko Para Vol. 5 Innocent Sin'. For elaboration, 'Nekopara Vol. 5' is obviously points toward Nekopara After, while for Innocent Sin it's from Persona 2 first half that featured Hitler as the antagonist with Daiteikoku also feature Hitler as the cute girl (Her name in Daiteikoku is Retia Adolf though).
Visual Novel Translation Status (30/06/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Tsukihime Remake release with it has vampire I may as well made another parody of the famous franchise with the vampire, The Twilight Saga. As for the 'Restless Dawn', it's because we have Shiravune announced Clock Up VN with the English title 'The Restless Sleep and the Lone Wolf', so I made the parody of Twilight's last part, Breaking Dawn, by changing 'Breaking' into 'Restless', so we have 'The Twilight Saga: Restless Dawn' as the title. As for this week, there's a bunch of releases with the most awaited Tsukihime Remake release, so in theory this should be the exciting week, although to me there's no particular interesting releases. Other than Tsukihime Remake release, we also have Shiravune being active after almost a month didn't show much activities. Overall, this week ended up being an average one to me, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Visual Arts released Switch only Planetarian Snow Globe, and I can only say it's redundant release since we already have PC version of it available in English. Speaking of redundant, Aniplex released Tsukihime Remake, which admittedly it's the biggest release for this week seeing it's the remake of Type-Moon very first VN with Nasu wrote many new stories into the remake, and the graphic along with the good animation of the opening video courtesy of ufotable certainly didn't hut. That said, the reason on why it's redundant is not only we already have it in English for a year, but also it's because Aniplex just release it for Switch (And PS4) while the fan patch is only available for Switch version. I know Valve would like to take their time to reviewing Tsukihime Remake before finally approving it, but it's still too bad there's no more info in regard of PC version from Aniplex yet. In the end, I can only say that good for anyone who only has PS4 and been waiting for the release.
Aksys released Radiant Tale fandisc, and as expected they release it only for Switch users. Speaking of otome VN, PQube revealed they about to localized Bustafellows 2 which if I remember it'll be continuing from the prequel true route or something like that. It's also worth to mention that unlike Aksys PQube plan to have the Steam version of it as well, so good for otome fans who only have PC. Oh yes, they also mention it'll be released sometimes in 2025. Speaking of upcoming release, Sekai planned to release Nekonin exHeart Spin on 15th later, so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for it. Nekonyan just released Aoi Tori Steam version two days earlier than the planned date, on the last June 26th, so you can now get Aoi Tori on Steam which is good for Nekonyan after their initial build of it was rejected while Purple Software did put some pressure Nekonyan to release it in last April.
For this week fan translation, we have Chusingura is at 47.86% translated with Chapter 2 is now fully translated with the remaining work (Editing, TLC, QA) being worked on, Taima Seiko Alice is at 70% translated, Karenai Saku is at halfway translated, Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 9.68% translated, Akagoei 3 is at 15.79% edited along with 15.96% in QA, and Ushieta is at 82.5% translated with Yui 1 route is at 70.1% translated. We also have a fan released Tenshi no Oshigoto translation patch, with the VN is basically the fan fiction from the fan group who like to write their version of Shiri's route ending from Kanon. While the release should be good for Shiori's fans, I'm more interested with the fan group who turned out to be Alcot's predecessor before they're established the company in 2004, so in a way it's one of Alcot's very first VN before they develop several more VNs for across 20 years with their last VN is recently crowdfunded (And upcoming) Clover Memory's.
This week we have Shiravune being active again after seemingly calmed down for almost a month. First of all they decided to delay Shukusei no Girlfriend 2 release date to at the latest September 30th, although in exchange they also announced the last game of the trilogy so we may have simultaneous release at the same date later. They also released two nukige at the same date, Nyonin Island and Real Eroge Situation 2. The former is about the former black company employee who somehow tasked to manage an island where there are no other male alive so the MC has the bad luck living with the family of the three female who has very big breast, while the latter has the MC live in the very realistic depiction of living in eroge with one particular realistic situation is the MC popular classmate (Female) turned out like to masturbate to the MC's fetish diary (Another thing to note it has nice graphic). Go get either nukige (Or maybe both) if you've been waiting for it, and have fun.
Last but not the least, we have Shiravune announced the aforementioned The Restless Sheep and the Lone Wolf (Or if we prefer Japanese title it's Nemurenu Hitsuji to Kodoku Ookami), which as we know is another VN by Clock Up so obviously expecting some disturbing sex scenes is a must. That said, from what I hear apparently the sex scenes are not as disturbing as Maggot Bait or euphoria, although those may still be quite disturbing. For the premise, we have an insomniac assassin who must kill in order to have good sleep meeting a particular woman in one of his mission. Said woman turned out held many secrets, and she managed to bring the good sleep to the assassin. By the way, it somehow slipped into Steam, which make this VN become historical for being the Clock Up VN available on Steam even with Shiravune understandably removed most of the contents. Oh yes, Shiravune also announce the fandisc as well, although I chose to just talked about the main game.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and for the next week I'll also comment on the possible AX announcements. See you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (23/06/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, since we have Kanon release I may as well make the parody of the last episode of Kanon 2006, Kanon at the End of the Dream (Also the title drop), with I decided to reuse 'Silver Colored Faraway' one more time even though Yuzuki's patch of Ginharu is already released for two months, hence the 'Bonus Track' part in the album. Anyway as for this week once again we have quite a number of new releases and announcements, although my interest on this week is toward the successful Kickstarter for Venus Blood Ragnarok. That aside, in case you're not into tentacle rape, then Kanon sudden release may be more interesting to you. Overall, this week is yet another below average one, and let's see what I can write about it.
Sekai released the second Kurikuri Click VN, and this time the single heroine is the warrior who wore bikini armor. Honestly no much to say other than turned out Kurikuri Click is the nukige trilogy with all of the three heroines are voiced by a single gravure model, so go get the VN if you like very short nukige voiced by a gravure model. Speaking of nukige, Cherry Kiss just announced they have yet another nukige release in July 12th later, and said nukige is localized as Sexcalibur. The premise of the VN is the MC who has his hometown destroyed by a very strong female knights, and then he got the magic sword that transfer his desire into power with the MC make good use of his power into have sex with the female knights. Frontwing did reveal they have another license, and said license is the third Milk Factory VN Oppai Succubus with them planned the release sometimes in this year, which to say is definitely better compared to what they did with Sharin.
This week we have ChuSingura is at 47.37% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 65% translated, Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 5.12% translated, and Akagoei 3 is at 79.19% edited along with 15.56% in QA. We also have 12Riven translation project has been ongoing for a while, and turned out it's been at halfway translated by a new group. For the info, 12Riven is the VN created by Uchikoshi as his attempt to make another Infinity trilogy which ended up failed, and then Uchikoshi decided to make 999 which became his successful franchise. Mages did plan to have their upcoming VN, Iwakura Aria, in English. From what I see, it has quite unique art like in Fata Morgana and apparently the story will depict the complex relationship between women in 1966 or something like that.
Once again we have Visual Art just released Kanon very suddenly back on last Thursday. I'm sure everyone else already know the story, but I may as well tell it again. In Kanon, we have Yuuichi came back to his aunt house after seven years and somehow he has amnesia on the event from seven years ago. Kanon here is very influential VN back in 1999 as KEY very first VN, so in theory this should be very big release despite there's no graphic remake like One. That said since we already have the translation patch of it back in 2009 along with said patch translate the sex scene which most people didn't mind to have it removed, I can only say this is redundant release. Still, feel free to get Kanon from Steam if you want to play the VN thanks to its historical status, and have fun. Lastly we have Venus Blood Ragnarok Kickstarter ended as another successful Kickstarter from Ninetail, with the fund gathered is almost three times of the initial goal at almost 38.7 million yen.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - For more elaboration on the title, in regard of 'Faraway Future' it's the combination of Hoshiori and Ginharu with both title has the words which exactly mean that ('Future' from Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai (Mirai mean Future) and 'Faraway' is obvious enough (Haruka mean Faraway, and the full title of Ginharu is Gin'iro Haruka)), which I figure is quite fitting to combined both seeing both Hoshiori and Ginharu has same concept (Charage with the lengthy after stories). Once again Kanon is obviously the title drop from Kanon VN, but in case you need explanation in regard of musical term it's a contrapuntal (counterpoint-based) compositional technique that employs a melody with one or more imitations of the melody played after a given duration.
Once again this week VNTS Review is from one of Kanon 2006 episode, in which it's episode 7 (The Runaway and the Kitten's Fugue) only that it's pretty much obvious that I changed 'Runaway' to 'Underclassman' and 'Kitten' to 'Puppy'. The reason is very simple, because we have Hinata as the underclassman and she like dog and the child form of dog is puppy (Kitten is the child form of cat by the way). Also like previous Kanon episodes, we also have musical reference and this time it's fugue in which it pretty much mean a composition in two or more voices built on a subject that is introduced at the beginning and recurs frequently in the course of the composition, or if you want more simple term it's chasing composition in which it's very fitting seeing that we have Makoto run away at episode 7. In here it's more to show on how puppy like to chase it's master seeing that dog is a very loyal animal, and of course we never have Hinata do a run away problem.
After my rambling on this week VNTS review title, let me say welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for this week, let's just say that Mangagamer's delay on Sengoku release is not very surprising at all seeing that they still need to deal with their busted payment processor. Other than that we also have another delay for one nukige and usual fan translation updates, so overall this week was pretty much quite a dry one as well (Perhaps we can get more juicy updates at September second half later). Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
We have a nukige release by Fakku was released, which to be honest not a big deal to me. But if you still waiting for that, perhaps you may take a note in that they'll try to have this released at this year (Probably December at the latest). Speaking about nukige, turned out that Valve didn't approved Asagi in Steam seeing that they throw yet another temper tantrum again by removing the store page for that, and the reason for the tantrum is apparently because they see a girl in school uniform which to say not really a valid reason to ban a game that full of rape (Although it might be valid reason for Valve here). In any case, it's quite obvious that the publisher need to find a way if they still insist to sell Asagi on Steam. To close Other section with non-nukige update, we have Lemnisca announced that they also prepared Raging Loop PC release at December 5th later, so if you only have PC and want to try Raging Loop you can get it from Steam.
Once again it's not surprising that Mangagamer delay their Sengoku release seeing that they still didn't resolve their payment processor problem, although it's quite a surprise though that they announce the new exact release date for that along with Haretaka at 19th later. What I can say is that while I'm still think that Sengoku release is redundant at least we finally can have Haretaka released which is good new to me, and for now let's just hope that there'll be no further complication seeing that they'd quite confident that they almost close to resolve the problem. For one more update, we have 07Expansion released Ciconia demo and obviously the demo will available in English so you can try the demo if you've been curious with Ciconia here.
We have a release from fan translation section, and the release is have a very heavy lolicon contents along with very bad graphic (The link for VNDB page of that VN). After do a little research, turned out that the VN is a fanfic of this 1992 anime (Of course the anime will absolutely wouldn't have a very heavy sex contents) and let's just say that the anime graphic is far better compared to fanfic nukige that we have here. For the updates, currently we Eustia was at 75.99% translated with Eustia's route was at 34.77% translated along with some increase on the editing progress so currently we have this at 53.51% edited. Latly we have Ginharu was at 37.66% translated with Hinata's route was at 58.31% translated, and currently Irru was finally managed to settle down after his moving so hopefully he'll have more time to work on Bethly's patch.
I guess that's all for this week, and see you next week.
Because we have Winged Cloud released Sakura Isekai Adventure 2 (With Winged Cloud did a good job by making the MC as female) along with Cherry Kiss released cosplayer nukige, I decided to make this week title as 'Sakura Cosplayer' even though I'm very late for this. Anyway, welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I may say something this week is quite eventful compared to the last week, especially when we finally know on who will localize Geminism. We also have Nekonyan finally finished the process to add Aoi Tori into Steam, so at least now they're done with Aoi Tori. Lastly, there's a surprise release of a nukige that has been adapted into H OVA. Overall, this week is a below average one to me, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
I knew Aniplex has plan to release Hookah Haze, although I just decided to keep my eyes on it right now. From what I see, I think it's like Valhalla with pixel art and all, but instead we have the male MC is about to die because of terminal illness decided to work as temporary manager of hookah language. For the info, hookah is not really the stylized way to say hooker, but instead it's the name of the tool that was used to smoking that usually used in Arabian countries even though the tool itself is from India. Back to the story, in the game we have the MC encounter three unique heroines, with each of the heroines have their own heavy secrets. Oh yes, Aniplex already has the exact release date for this, and said date is July11th later with the VN available in both of Switch and PC. Speaking of exact release date of a VN, we also have one for B-Ryuusai Project, and said date is July 15th so feel free to note the date if you want to play otome VN with male idol love interests.
A fan decided to release Ane to Boin nukige, and from what I can see the nukige was adapted into H OVA back in 2005. For the premise, it's about the MC who live with ten beautiful step-sisters with the MC does his best to try hold himself because he still consider them as the sibling. Of course being the nukige MC, we'll going to see on how the MC will not be able to hold himself by having sex with the sisters several times. Feel free to get the nukige if you're interested with it, and have fun. We also have JAST released Sisters as scheduled, and my first thought is the size is quite big at around 26 GB despite its short playtime thanks to the graphic that looks like the real anime. For the premise, we have the MC who can't remember himself start to live together with the household that has mother and her two daughters. While it's easy to dismiss it as nukige, turned out there's some plot hidden behind the premise. Anyway, feel free to try the VN, and have fun.
Almost forgot to mention that Visual Arts almost ready to release Kanon, and according to the post from their website they plan to release it within this month so let's wait and see. We also have Shiravune announce two nukige releases (Nyonin Island and Real Eroge Situation 2), and unlike Visual Arts Shiravune announce the exact release date for both release with both will be released on 25th later, so you may note the date if you've been waiting for those two releases. As for the one who'll localize Geminism, turned out Shiravune took the job for it with them already open the Steam store for it. We still don't know when we'll going to have it release, but at least now we can have translated Geminism in the future.
Daybreak has some words in regard of Akagoei, and said words are in regard on how they need to delay the release of Akagoei trilogy translation patch for a year (From this September to September 2025) because of some reasons that can't be disclosed. Anyway, as for Daybreak's projects progress, we have Akagoei FD QA work was done, Akagoei 3 is at 76.86% edited along with 11.34% in QA, and they were extracting the scripts from Majikoi A Plus Disk in which it'll be their next VN to working on. For the other fan translation progress, we have ChuSingura is at 46.26% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 60% translated, and Ushieta was past three quarter (75.6%) translated with Yui 1 route is at 42.5% translated. We also have updates from Shinzou Translation, with their secret project is at halfway edited and Karenai Sekai to Owaru Hana is at 30% translated along with its assets is at 10% worked on.
Last but not the least, we finally have Nekonyan manage to open the Steam store for Aoi Tori, which is very notable seeing they had the initial build rejected before they re-submitted the edited build and finally have the build accepted by Steam reviewer. It should be noted the Steam version of Aoi Tori has very big change besides the obvious not containing all of the 25 sex scenes, namely Nekonyan only include one route that they think safe to add, Mary's route, so you'll need 18+ patch to play the full version. They also already has the exact release date for the Steam version, in which it'll be released on 28th later, so you can note the date if you still not bought it because you prefer to wait for it available on Steam.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/06/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I can say something this week is quite plain, although we can say it's the breather after the releases in the past weeks. That said, at least this week has some exact release date announcements though along with a surprise new fan translation project. As for the title, because we have Cupid Parasite FD along with Chiisana Kanojo sizeable updates, I made the parody of the latter English title, A Maiden's Serenade, with I changed 'Maiden's' into 'Cupid's' so we have 'A Cupid's Serenade'. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Idea Factory did release Cupid Parasite FD, and it's obviously for Switch only. Feel free to get the VN if you want to play more Cupid Parasite and had Switch, and have fun. Speaking of Switch, Aksys announced the exact release date for Ihanashi no Majo, and said date is August 22nd later. Note that the release date is only for console version (ie PS5 and Switch version) of it, so you need to wait for a while if you want to play the Steam version of it. Speaking of Steam, Shiravune announce the exact release date for their aunt nukige that has it's build was rejected by Steam, and said date is 14th later so feel free to note the date if you want to play aunt nukige that has NTR element.
I knew there's a plan to localized both of Dokyuusei 2 and Yakin Byouto Remakes, which most likely will be assigned to Shiravune, because the developer of the remake is from the same group as Shiravune. That said, I still wait and see about the plan of the remakes until the companies (Either the publisher or the developer) have the words about it.
From fan translation, this week we have Chusingura is at 45.66% translated with Chapter 2 is past 90% mark (91.80%) translated, Majikoi Ryouken After is fully translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 55% translated, Akagoei FD is at 85.06% in QA, Akagoei 3 is past three quarter (75.06%) edited along with 10.37% in QA, and Shin Koihime Musou is at 72% edited. Lastly, we have Shinzou Translation announced their new project, Karenai Saku no Owari Hana, which is definitely bigger than their usual projects. Said VN is also the first VN from Sweet & Tea with two of their VNs, Kemono Musume and Mr. Sister, are localized by Sekai. For the premise, it's about our MC who came to the small town saw a girl, Haru, has the power to turn human into flower. For the progress, it's currently at 2% translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (26/05/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title since we have Biniku no Kaori released with its English title is Scent of Seductive Flesh along with Shinjuku Soumei released, I changed the word 'Seductive Flesh' into 'Funeral' with the word is from the kanji in Shinjuku Soumei Japanese title, so we have 'Scent of Funeral' as the title. As for this week, we have a number of releases. While it looks to be very good on paper, unfortunately those releases are not what I look forward into, but at least there's Biniku no Kaori which is worth to note as one of highest rate elf VNs on Erogamescape. Other than that, there's also Venus Blood Ragnarok KS with it already successful. Overall, this week is another above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
From fan translation, we have ChuSingura is at 45.26% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at halfway translated, Akagoei 3 is at 73.77% edited, Akagoei FD is past three quarter (75.86%) in QA, Ushieta is at 69.8% translated with Yui 1 route is at 17.7% translated, and Shinzou Translation secret project is fully translated. We also have three releases from fan translation, with one of those is the aforementioned Biniku no Kaori. For the other two, those are Little Busters SS and Alice no Yakata. About Alice no Yakata, we most likely know it as the Staffs Corner segment which translated as Alice Mansion (Thus I'll call it as such) in most of Alicesoft VNs, and from what I understand the VN is the collection of side materials. For Little Busters SS, it's the episodic releases of Little Busters side stories. Oh yes, both VNs are not available on PC, but instead it available on the other platforms (Alice Mansion in PC 98 and Little Busters SS in Android and IOS).
We have Shinjuku Soumei released in last Friday, and from what I see it's about the MC who live in Shinjuku use his power of immortality to perform dangerous funeral with the help of a ghost girl. Another thing that I know it's been written by narcissu's writer and drawn by Nanairo Reincarnation artist, so at least the art should be good enough. There's also a review that state the translation is quite bad, so you may be keep in mind of that if you try the VN (Have fun though if you've been interested with it). Cherry Kiss did release their cosplayer nukige, and no much to say other than the heroine has usual big breast. PQube released two Gotoubun VNs, and if I may blunt I never had interest with the VN based on the anime franchise, but if you like Gotoubun anime and want to see more of the heroines, then you can try the VNs. Dramatic Create announce the exact release date for Meiji Tokyo Renka, with said date is October 3rd later.
Looks like this time Sekai is indeed serious with Wagahigh FD, and to show on how serious they are they list the current progress with it is at 15% translated. Also turned out they have the reason to mention Chiisana Kanojo progress back in Anime Central, and said reason is they have good progress on it with currently it's been almost fully translated at 95% translated along with at halfway edited. Ninetail started their Venus Blood Ragnarok on last Wednesday with the goal is 13.2 million yen, and currently they already gather more than 20 million yen which obviously mean it's another their successful KS. In case you want to help fund the KS, there will be time until June 19th. Oh yes, for the estimation release time, Ninetail list November 2025 although it may change later.
Last but not the least we have a fan decided to suddenly released Biniku no Kaori, and the VN itself is one of highest rated elf VN on Erogamescape. From what I can see, apparently it has some NTR, although from what I see on VNDB it has more than that, namely it has mystery genre. For the premise, we have Takuya who is the university student who want to earn money in order to traveling with his girlfriend. One day, after he decided to take tutoring job on Otoha as the way to get the money, he saw a hole that allow him to see the bedroom of Otoha's parents bedroom with he also see Otoha's mother do her hair. From there, he wonder on who made the hole and why the hole was created, and he start to investigate it. Like YU-NO, this game has point and click gameplay, so you may need the walkthrough to get through it. Go get Biniku no Kaori if you want some well known mystery VN from elf while you don't mind the NTR element, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (31/03/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title because we finally have Sekai released ReLord 3 with the sub title '~The demon lord of Groessen and the final witch~', I made the parody with I change 'Groessen' into 'Toyotoki' (From Ihanashi no Majo English title, Tales from Toyotoki) and 'the final witch' into 'the songstress' with songstress part come from one of Venus Blood Hollow fandisc title 'The Dragon Songstress'. Anyway, for this week initially I thought it would be a plain one, but near the end of the month there are several sudden release along with Mangagamer finally do another updates. Overall, this week to me is more or less a below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
We have a new publisher called Ramune Games about to release their debut work, LingerieS, with the premise the trap MC was assigned to take care of the lingerie shop that his twin sister take care of while said sister have some other business for the whole two months. From what I see, apparently it's another single heroine VN, and looking from the number of the side heroine we may have more parts available later. In any case, the plan is to release the VN in this year later. Ramune Games itself is the branch company of the developer who usually made nukige, so we may have 18+ patch for this. Speaking of this year release, we finally have Ihanashi no Majo English language support for Steam with the support will be available on Autumn later (The Switch version will be available on this Summer).
It's interesting if not funny on how both Ninetail and Sekai decided to do sudden release for both of their VN, and it's good for the latter now that they have one less title to worry about. No much comment on Venus Blood Hollow fandisc other than it'll focused on the dragon sibling (Julia and Liese) who will received a lot of love from Leon's trusted tentacles, and feel free to play if you want more of Hollow (I'm still waiting for Ragnarok's KS). Sekai did suddenly released ReLord 3rd, and with it they finally done with ReLord trilogy. For the premise of ReLord 3, we have the demon lord MC finally almost done to liberate his territory from the witches, although obviously the MC still need to face the hard fight seeing now he need to deal with two enemies at once. Go get ReLord 3 if you've been waiting for the release before playing the trilogy, and have fun. We also have Shiravune announced the exact release date for (Redundant) Taimanin Yukikaze, with said date is 30th later.
Once again, this week we have Mangagamer's updates. As for the updates, we have Hana Awase PC port is in progress, Funbag Fantasy 4 is at 80% translated along with 78% edited, Rance 03 is at 73% translated, Rance X is finally reached 90% mark translated, Sex Open World is also passed 90% mark translated (92%) along with 86% edited, and Ixseal is at 84% translated along with 81% edited. Honestly I only care for Ixseal here, but it's good to see that Rance X finally almost finished its translation work with X has a very big amount of text. Lastly for fan translation, we have Akagoei 3 is past halfway (50.05%) edited, Ryouken After is past halfway (55.58%) translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at a quarter edited, and ChuSingura is at 41.53% translated with Chapter 2 is past three quarter (76.43%) translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/05/2024)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Fata Morgana side story (The Erasmus two-faced stories) released along with Sheol update, I combined 'Two-face' from Erasmus and 'Saint' from Sheol full title (Happy Saint Sheol), so we have 'Two-faces Saint'. As for this week, overall it's quite a breather after the previous two eventful week and before Anime Central with Sekai and Mangagamer will attend. Obviously we still have some updates, with the notable one is the aforementioned Fata Morgana Side Story release along with Steam store for Harvest Festa is now opened. Other than that, we also have Mangagamer updates that I didn't write on the last week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
For Erasmus, I have no much to say other than it's the side story for two Fata Morgana casts who find themselves have received the invitation from their respective acquaintances only to find themselves in the middle of confusing situation or something like that. What I know is that instead of Mangagamer, this time the one who worked on this is the fans. Speaking of Mangagamer, once again they have updates at the last week, and for the updates we have Sex Open World is almost fully (At 98%) translated along with 90% edited, Rance 03 is past three quarter (79%) translated, Rance X is at 94% translated, Funbag Fantasy 4 is at 84% translated along with 80% edited, and Ixseal is at 88% translated. Sekai has two updates, and one of those is Sheol in which currently is in QA work with it currently is 40% done. Another update is they finally manage to open the Steam store page for Harvest Festa, and they also already aiming for 2024 release.
Frontwing decided to delay Lilja release with the new release date will be on July 25th later, and while it's too bad I understand they may need some times to tidying the game before the release. Speaking of release, Cherry Kiss just announce they'll release their newest nukige with the heroine is the cosplayer, and the exact release date for it will be on 23rd later. For the fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 68.79% translated, ChuSingura is at 44.04% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 40% translated, Shinzou Translation secret project is at 30% translated, and Ushieta is at 63% translated with Nagisa's route is at 87.5% translated. Almost forgot to mention that Everlasting Flower release is also delayed like Lilja, and the new release of it will be on August 29th later.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
