Visual Novel Translation Status (25/09/2022)
Since we have Clock Up announced that they'll localize their newest title Sacrifice Villains in the future along with that we have Our Marriage 1 released, I figure that I should make reference toward Boku no Hero Academia manga English title, My Hero Academia, by changing 'My' into 'Our' and 'Hero' into 'Villain', so we have 'Our Villain Academia' as this week VNTS Review title (By the way Justopia in Sacrifice Villains is remind me of All Might from My Hero Academia manga). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week honestly speaking it's still the same in that it's another below average one to me even with the releases seeing that some of those are console only otome VN, although I know though some may interested with those otome releases here. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Clock Up announced their newest VN, Sacrifice Villains, will also be available in English sometimes after Japanese release date (December 23rd) later. As for the one who will localized it, the most obvious candidates seems to be Mangagamer so let's see if it'll be the case later. Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige (Hentai Heaven's Slutty Salvation) with the premise is more or less the ungrateful king who imprisoned the MC that is the isekai hero after said hero help the king, and the MC will do the payback to the king after he take care of his manly desires towards the twin goddess who summon him. In case you want to see more of it, it'll be released on October 7th later. Lastly we have Shiravune will release the last of their five initial announcements (Dawn of Kagura: Maika's Story - The Dragon's Wrath) on 30th later, and here's hoping there'll be interesting announcements in one of eight Shiravune announcements later.
In case you have Switch and want to some play otome VNs, both Aksys and Idea Factory by released Piofiore 1926 and Amnesia fandisc respectively. That said though, apparently you need to play the prequel for those otome VN because apparently those new releases are the sequels, so perhaps it might be the right time if you want to play the main game first in case you still don't play those yet (By the way at least Idea Factory here did release Amnesia for PC). Have fun if you already have those otome VNs because you interested with it and already played it.
From fan translation, first of all our Ittaku already do the playthrough proofread for three out of four translated route in Harugi with the last route left is Shino's route, and he also said that if all goes well (ie not finding any new bugs) it's possible to see him release the patch within this week so let's see it later. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have 149 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime are translated, Chronos is at 45% translated, Tae's route in Akagoei FD is fully translated and now the translator start to work on Tsuki's route, Senmomo is at 70.80% edited with Chapter 5 is at 62.10% edited, and Eustia is at 98.35% in programming with Licia's chapter is finally reach past 90% mark (91.21%) in programming. Oh yes we also have Yosuga no Sora keep continuing their editing work along with them released their daily patch, and for today currently we have it is fully translated along with 63% TLC-ed and 21% edited.
Lastly we have Watamari or initially it's translated as Our Marriage release, and since there's a number '1' it's quite obvious that the developer will make this as serial VN so there should be a sequel in the future. In here we have our female MC Hikari who is tasked to infiltrate a mysterious academy and determined to not stand out, only for that plan to be failed because she was chosen to bear the mark of Virgo zodiac and thus make Hikari slightly more standing out more than she wanted to. From what I see, once again it should be obvious that Our Marriage here is obviously a GL VN like the developer previous works (Ne no Kami duology and Sacrament of the Zodiac), and it seems that it'll tell the more of the setting that was established in Sacrament of the Zodiac. Also interestingly this time the developer decided to make this as all age VN, although they may made 18+ patch later. Go get Our Marriage 1 if you want some GL VN and don't mind it as the first part of serial VN, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (04/09/2022)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have edited MTL patch for Amayui Labyrinth Meister (Or I'll call it as Amayui 2 from now on) I changed the word 'Amayui' into 'Sweets' because Amayui itself can be literally translated as 'sweets' based on the word 'ama' alone so we have 'Sweets Labyrinth Meister' as the title, even though the actually the kanji 'ama' in there is actually meant heaven. As for this week, once again it's quite complicated because of two translated edited MTL translation patch which may as well not treated as such if the translator not said it directly. Aside from those two MTL patch, once again there're several updates from fan translation with the most notable one is Ginharu just finished the translation work. All in all, if not for the fact that those two newly released patch are MTL this week here could be an exciting one, although as it stands it's now just an above average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Unlike first Amayui in which I did help worked on, this time I'm not involved with it. As for Amayui 2, while gameplay wise it's certainly far more accessible to the newbie seeing that Eushully add several new features that made the battle easier (Although they also nerf some of the other features), story wise compared to the prequel Amayui 2 here is more focused on Avaro's quest on another country with him investigating the anomaly in the dungeons. Anyway go get the patch in the website here if you want to play Amayui 2 and also if you didn't mind for the fact that Depravity used the MTL to help with the translation work, and have fun. Oh yes actually I'm quite late to report this, because Amayui 2 patch here was released back on August 8th.
Another edited MTL patch that was released is Re:Lief translation patch, and this one is already released from way back in May so it took people three months to just notice it. Looking from the art alone, I can say that Re:Lief here got some nice art along with the good opening song, although as for the story from what I can see it's quite divisive seeing that Erogamescape has better reception on this compared to VNDB. For the premise, it's about our MC Tsukasa who is attend an unique school in an isolated island with said school is intended as the one that used for government program to allow the troubled adult do back to school for a year before going back to society. Since most likely that Nekonyan will not localize this despite that Hikari Field is the one who release this on Steam, you can get the patch on here if you want to play Re:Lief in English and not mind of the edited MTL.
We have the KS for Venus Blood Gaia successful with the gathered fund was at 36,095,714 yen or more than 2.7 times of the initial goal, and I'll look forward to their planned release on June 2023 later. Shiravune will release Himeyoku on 9th later, and let's just say that I hope that Shiravune next announcements can be more interesting. From JAST we have the translator was already finished with Gore Screaming Show translation work, and let's see if JAST will release it on this year after they put double and triple effort on editing and QC. Sekai also announced that they'll release Hamidashi Chinese version on 30th later, and even though I criticized Sekai several times for releasing Chinese version instead of English version first, at least this times we can see that it's impossible to have English release first (If anything else, they manage to get the Steam store page for Hamidashi opened which to say is quite nice considering the random ban that Chaos Head Noah got).
For fan translation, we have ChuSingura was at 10.82% translated, Manakashi was at halfway translated, White Album 2 Mini After Story had the last after story was at 82% translated, Imaimo was fully QC-ed, Chronos was at 35% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 59% edited, Chicchakunai Mon was at 19.53% edited, and Chaos Head Noah was at 91.32% TLC-ed along with 80.07% edited. We also have update on Bishoujo Mangekyou 2.5 which is quite surprising because the last update on it was several years ago, and said update is the work on it will start shortly with the original translator, Arcadeotic, will do the TLC of it while leaving the translation work to the other group. That said though, Arcadeotic here is still worked on Bishoujo Mangekyou translation in which it's Bishoujo Mangekyou 4 that has trap MC and the one that I'm interested with, and we already have some progress on it with the current progress was 2 out of 56 script files of it were translated.
We have several updates from Daybreak Translation, with one of those is that turned out they're the group who working on Bishoujo Mangekyou 2.5 translation, and the translator himself already made the estimate release time in that it'll be on early 2023 later. There's also some slight update on Akagoei FD with the translator restarted his work on Moe's route, although very slowly on that. Lastly, we have all of Ginharu was translated which obviously also mean all 37 script files of Yuzuki's route and 10 of her sex scenes were translated, although obviously it didn't mean that we can have Yuzuki's patch being released immediately, because there's still some works left including editing with the editing work for Mizuha's route has not finished yet. So to summarize it, with some works left before the release, perhaps it would be the best to not expect Yuzuki's patch released in this year, especially with the plan to release Mizuha's and Yuzuki's patch separately.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Edit (09/09) - Seeing that VNTS is back, I decided to add the link to it from now on even though it'll be late so I'll add the link whenever VNTS page is posted. Also seeing the date is use the format DD/MM/YYYY, I changed it to reflect as such. For the info the old VNTS using MM/DD/YYYY, which turned out to be only used by USA alone while most of the countries use DD/MM/YYYY format.
Once again since we have another rough patch for Houkago Cinderella and 'Houkago' itself is literally mean 'Afterschool', I decided to make another VA parody with Ayumu of Imaimo VA in that it's Chihara Minori with her most well known role is the alien from Haruhi franchise (Nagato Yuki), so we have 'Afterschool Alien' for this week VNTS Review title. Anyway as for this week while we have several releases from official company and fan translation, what I can say is that I'm not particularly find those releases interesting. That said, at least we have several nice updates from fan translation in regard of two partial patch release update (One of those is the aforementioned Houkago Cinderella), so at least this week is more interesting compared to the last week although overall is just an average one. Anyway let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
We have a new release from Kagura Games with the title 'How to Built a Magnificent Kingdom' that has the premise where the princess from a fallen kingdom tried her best to rebuild her kingdom, although obviously the road to do that will be not easy. In there the player will be act as the apprentice knight who tasked to help the princess to build the kingdom's military with the player will be take care of the army who will fight in case the kingdom want to defend or attacking another nation. It also has brothel management game in which it may remind people of Dohna Dohna, although with the strategy gameplay aspect it's more or less like Madou Koukaku which in turn was probably inspired by Civilization franchise. Go get the game on Steam, and have fun.
Shiravune did release Tamakagura back on 26th, and no much to say other than have fun if you want to play another game that featured shrine maiden fight several monsters and will be raped if said shrine maiden is lose. Speaking of being raped by monsters, we also have JAST just released Inyochu today (For the reminder Inyochu is about several female demon hunters who face the risk to be raped by monsters if they lose), and I have no much to say other than it's good to see that JAST did manage to release one of their 2022 AX announcement at the same year they announced it so hopefully they'll manage to do the same with the rest of their AX announcements. We also have Cherry Kiss announced another isekai nukige with the title Harem King: Peasant to Princess Gotta Breed 'Em All! is definitely parodied Pokemon's catchphrase, and in case you're interested with it you can wait until September 9th later in which it'll be released on that date.
Looks like Sekai may not be able to release Our Marriage 1 on August as the developer predicted, so obviously it mean that there'll be no longer possibility of August release. At least Sekai here manage to launch the Steam store of it along with them released the trial of it, so you can try the trial here in case you looking forward to the GL VN release later. Nekonyan did release Makeover FD back on August 26th, and no much to say other than go get it if you want to see the after stories of your favorite heroines at Makeover. If anything else, at least I can see that Smee still retain their usual comedy writing, especially when we see on how some of the after stories scenario on VNDB are not what we can say a very serious one.
We have a group did translate Bakemonogatari game for PSP, and no much to say expect at least you can try it if you're a big fan of Bakemonogatari anime (You can easily use PSP emulator to make up the lack of PC version of it). We also have Hoka no Otoko After Story translation patch release, in which said VN is the after story of the NTR VN that was released back on May. The premise is still the same in which the wife want a child, except this time she want to have another child and thus the husband (The MC) decided to use the successful method by asking his little brother to once again impregnate his own wife because the MC himself is more or less sterile.
For the rest of the updates from fan translation, we have Chronos was at 30% edited, White Album 2 Mini After Story had the last after story was at 69% translated, Senmomo was at 69.89% edited with Chapter 5 was past halfway (54.31%) edited, ChuSingura was at 10.27% translated, and 35 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu were translated. As for Houkago Cinderella rough patch release, this time the patch itself did translate Tsukushi's route so with this patch now we have 3 out of 5 routes in Houkago Cinderella were (Roughly) edited. For the next plan, the translator will translate either Maria's or Yukiko's route, although looking from the progress the translator could be decided to work on Yukiko's route first with her route currently was at 6.22% translated. We also have Imaimo translator announced that the full translation patch of it will be released on September 9th later, and seeing that he only need to do the remaining QC work for the whole Ayumu's route we may see it happen.
Last but not the least, we also have the partial patch release for Walkure Romanze with said patch is translated Lisa's route along with common and Celia's routes, so you can get it if you just want to play it for Lisa. There's also some translation update on it, with the translator already worked on Mio's route with said route is currently at approximately 35% translated along with said that it'll be the next route to be translated. There's also some progress on Noel's route as well, with said progress was roughly at a quarter translated along with 23% TL checked.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Since we have Nagomibako and Animal Trail with the latter featuring idol released I decided to make the parody based on an interactive webapp Star in a Box, so we have 'Idol in a Box' as the title. For more elaboration, in regard of the idol actually it's more like aspiring star as marketed by their talent agencies so it's still fitting to say idol as star, while for the box it should be obvious that it's from Nagomibako with the 'bako' itself is literally mean 'box'. Anyway this week here is more interesting compared to the last week, especially with several updates from Sekai. Of course though there's still some updates from fan translation with the notable one for this week is Daybreak Translation decided to work on Schwarzesmarken which as we know is one of Muv Luv spin-off, and there's also a sudden update with Haruka no Sora translation project. Overall this week here is more or less an average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Shiravune did release the nukige Revenge of the Orcs, and well I suppose you may as well try it if you have some interest on the nukige featuring orcs. Speaking of nukige, Cherry Kiss also released Yandere Goddess nukige in which it's featured exactly what the title said (It's the goddess who has yandere tendencies in case you need some reminder), and if anything else at least I should praise the translator for Cherry Kiss in regard of their localization choice for the title and the synopsis even though their releases are not exactly where my interest lie is. I also know that the VNTS 4chan did list Gaia Kickstarter as successful, although I won't list it as successful yet even though it's pretty clear that they already gathered the required fund on Day 1 until they close the Kickstarter later.
For Animal Trail, it's newest short Whirlpool VN that focused on two members of animal magical girl idol quartet. While normally we would have all four idols as the heroines, apparently Whirlpool decided to divided it into two heroines per game so we may have the rest of the idol group as the heroines in the sequel. Go get Animal Trail if you want to date the heroines who are also magical girl idol, and have fun. For the rest of the update, we have Akairo was at 20% translated, Sheol was at 60% translated, Nie no Hakoniwa was at 35% translated, Yumeiro was at 70% along with a quarter edited, QUALIA was at one third in QA, Eternal Heart was also turned out to be at one third in QA (I assume that Sekai did mistakenly meant engine work progress as QA in the past update), and last but not the least we have Morning Mist was at halfway in QA.
What I know from Schwarzesmarken is that it's yet another Muv Luv spin-off that apparently also get the anime, and that it's been divided into two games (Crest of Blood and Martyrs) according to the translator himself. age also has a plan to localize it with the current progress is it already through Steam Greenlight, although so far there's no more update on this so Daybreak decided to do the translation work by themselves. Of course though in case age suddenly show some interest to continuing on it and sending C&D notice to Daybreak, the latter would obviously comply to it and suspend the project. Anyway as for the progress, as of now the translator did say that he's already translated several chapters from the first game (Crest of Blood) here.
For Nagomibako, what I can see is that apparently it's Cartagra fandisc with three story, and one of those stories is obviously the after story for Cartagra which of course would be what people focused on seeing that we have it translated. From what I see in one of the review, other than Cartagra after story Nagomibako was also has stand alone story along with some comical story full of meme or something like that. You can get translation patch of Nagomibako in case you want more Cartagra at their Discord (You can see the address on the Imgur file here), and have fun.
We have sudden jump in Haruka no Sora progress, and for the current progress we have Sora's after story was at 63% translated along with Yahiro's route was at 68% translated and Kozue's route was at 10% translated. They also promised October release with the translators was get the incentives to increase their motivation, although whether it'll effective or not we'll see. For the remaining updates, we have Chronos was at 20% edited, ChuSingura was at 8.39% translated, Hokejo was fully translated with some touch-ups work left, Houkago Cinderella was at 54.55% translated, Ciel Day 9 of Tsukihime Remake was fully translated, Senmomo was at 67.54% edited with Chapter 5 was at 34.28% edited, White Album 2 Mini After Story had the last after story was at 38% translated, Eustia was at 97.65% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 87.51% in programming, and 28 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu along with her 7 out of 10 sex scenes were translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Foreword - I knew Digimon Survive here is on VNTS 4chan list, although after I see the playthrough it looks more like Phoenix Wright instead of regular VNs or rather it's more like usual adventure games so my stance is that I'll just treat it as games, moreso if we see the dialogues is concise enough compared to usual VNs and would be fitting as games albeit with heavier number of text. That said while my stance here is to treat it as games, I definitely can't agree with the action of review bombing on Metacritic just because it looks like usual VNs. While I can see that it's Bandai's fault to not put more emphasize of adventure/VNs gameplay in the trailer video, the fact that Steam did list it as 'Visual Novel' should be enough to gauge what kind of Digimon Survive gameplay will be. Anyway that aside, in the end Digimon Survive here should be a good game on it's own despite some of the flaws, whether you think of it as either usual games or VN.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and once again sorry for being late here. As for this week, while Mangagamer two Otakon announcements here are something that we can say as full of passion because both of those are nukige, the biggest news for this week here is definitely Amatsutsumi release. Of course there's also Ninetails who just do the Kickstarter for Venus Blood Gaia and manage to gather the required fund in less than 24 hours, and obviously some updates from fan translation. Overall I can say that this week is more or less an exciting one to a degree, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Because of some unmentioned circumstances, Shiravune delayed Monochrome Mobius release to October 20th later. We also have some surprise from them, in which they somehow manage to have Great Deceiver on Steam and perhaps it might be because there's no school setting in there which as we know usually perceived as the reason for the ban of the VNs by Valve. Idea Factory also announced the exact release date for Amnesia fandisc, and said date will be on October 20th later as well. Just in case you need more short nukige from Cherry Kiss, you can look forward to their newest nukige release, Yandere Goddess: A Snatch Made in Heaven, in which they'll release it on 12th later so you can note the date if you want to have a nukige with yandere goddess as the heroine.
If you want to read Taisho Alice fandisc, you can get it now because it has been released on 27th. From what I can see, the premise is more or less the usual fandisc with the after stories for each of the heroes along with two additional routes for the side characters. Have fun if you already get it, and it's good to see that the fandisc of it is also translated as well in which it's looks impossible to see it happen in the past, especially with bad translation shenanigan happened back in 2017. Like I say beforehand, Ninetails do the KS for Venus Blood Gaia with the goal is at 13.2 million yen and the deadline is on 31st later, and they manage to fulfill it in less than 24 hours (It definitely help that so far Ninetails here is one of competent company when it come to KS). They did estimate that they'll release GAIA in June 2023 later, although whether it'll be sooner or later we'll see. By the way they also released the trial as well, so you can play it to see on how GAIA gameplay will be.
For Mangagamer's Otakon announcements, once again all of those are nukige. While I can say that we may have good story on Funbag Fantasy 4 and I like the sexy exorcist uniform design in Nightmare x Sisters (The first part of Nightmare trilogy), I would like to see Mangagamer announce non-nukige on Otakon (At least the visual of both are quite nice, despite the usual big breasts in Funbag 4). For the premise of those two announcements, in Funbag 4 we have the kingdom setting with the king (The MC) tried to become the monk because he's tired of battle leaving his wife and concubines alone, while in Nightmare x Sisters we have the female MC Setsuna who work as the exorcist suddenly had her senior/sister disappear so Setsuna decided to enlist her male childhood friend help because he's the stand in for the male MC for the search, and from there Setsuna will find herself get introduced to endless hell of debauchery which will involve a lot of rape.
Other than the obvious Amatsutsumi releases, this time we also have Sekai give us several updates with two of Seiiki series VNs, Kanojo and Imouto, currently waiting for the build which mean we may need to wait for a while before finally see those two VNs released. Speaking of Seiiki series, we also have Gakkou no Seiiki update as well with said update is that currently it's at 10% edited. Other than that, we have Sekai suddenly give the update to Miko no Kanata (I'm seriously forgot when the last time Sekai gave the update on this, but at least I know that it's the nukige involving shrine maiden/miko) and said update is in regard of the exact release date which is on Friday (5th) later. For the rest of the updates, we have Nie no Hakoniwa was at 30% translated, Sheol was at 10% translated, Akaneiro was at 15% translated, Chiisana Kanojo was at 5% edited, and Our Marriage 1 was at a quarter in QA.
Before going to Amatsutsumi release, I'll do the roundup for fan translation updates. For fan translation, we have Senmomo was at 66.64% edited with Chapter 5 past a quarter (26.56%) edited, Fuyu Kiss was at 60% translated, Harugi was at 63% edited, Houkago Cinderella was at 51.76% translated, Imaimo was fully edited with the translator started the pre-QC process which including translating the UI and recompiling the text into the ending before moving on to the actual QC, Eustia was at 97.41% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 86.21% in programming, and 24 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu along with half of her sex scenes (5 out of 10) were translated. Lastly we also have Gore Screaming Show/GSS translation team decided to suspend the project because JAST did license it, although they did release the translation patch that translate the VN up to Kiika's route so you can get the patch in case you want to play GSS immediately.
Last but not the least we have Amatsutsumi release, and if we following the news in regard of it surely we know that it has some problem with the Steam with Valve did reject both English and Chinese build. As for the reason why, while we can speculate some of it in the end only Valve can say the exact reason for banning Amatsutsumi. Anyway seeing that Sekai may need to release this in hurry, there's still some issue left with the most notable one is the soundtrack title is untranslated (Which is too bad seeing that I'm the one who suggest that Amayui should add translated soundtrack title). For the premise itself it's about our MC Makoto who is from a backwater village came into the slightly busier village and he collapse on the road, and from there he met Kokoro who decided to take care of him. Seeing that he has no house, he decided to use his power of word ability in order to make Kokoro think that Makoto is her older brother. Go get Amatsutsumi if you've been waiting for it, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - For the title I just combined two of Mangagamer's announcements, Nightmare x Sisters and Funbag Fantasy 4, so we have 'Nightmare x Brother' as the title. While 'Nightmare' here is should be obvious, the word 'Brother' is from the subtitle of Funbag Fantasy 4 'Brother Astor' with the Astor himself is the aforementioned king MC. It should be noted that actually there's Brother title in Christian, although it's been overshadowed by Sister.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Hello Lady released I reused the coupling in the title that I used all the way back when Hello Lady was announced by Nekonyan in 2018 (The VNTS Review in question). Obviously Wataru here is still because his VA (Okitsu Kazuyuki) is the one who voiced our Hello Lady MC Narita, while for Kurumi here is because we have Eri Sendai voiced Saku (Main heroine of Hello Lady) and as we know in Precure we have Sendai voiced one of the YPC5 duology character (Milk in which she has human form called Kurumi). Granted that Toei didn't make the crossover movie with both Wataru and Kurumi did interact in any capacity, but it shouldn't stop some fans to pair them if they want lol. Anyway as for this week I can say that it's quite exciting with a number of the releases with two of most notable one to me are Kamiyaba and the aforementioned Hello Lady. Other than the releases, we also have some updates from fan translation and Sekai along with Evenicle 2 exact release date announcement. Let's see what I can write in regard of the exciting week here.
Cherry Kiss did released their nukige, and I can only say that have fun if you interested with it along with already tried it. We also have JAST did release Kurokami in which as we know it's Minato Carnival VN with the premise of titular Kurokami tell the MC (Domaru) to hunt youkai in his stead, and Domaru also can end in a death if Kurokami find out that Domaru do even the slightest mistake. Go get Kurokami if you're in the mood to read some new Minato-soft VN, and have fun (Also it's all age VN so no sex scenes with Kurokami here). By the way after I do some research on Takahiro (The writer), turned out that he's indeed quite capable of writing something dark as we can see in both of Akame ga Kill (Almost all of the casts are dead by the end of the story) and Yuuki Yuuna (It's ending is still lighter compared to Madoka though), so it shouldn't be surprising that Takahiro can write some VNs with dark story such as Waka-sama and now Kurokami here.
Sekai did manage to release Nekogami, and turned out they release it on GOG. What I can say about Nekogami is that it's about short VN with the MC along with his sister suffer a curse because of an accident, and after I see some tag on VNDB turned out Nekogami is not as light as it looks even though it's from same developer as Kemomusu. Go get Nekogami if you interested with it, and have fun. I'm more interested with Amatsutsumi though in which perhaps we may have Sekai release it in GOG as well (Because Nekogami was also banned from Steam), and seeing that they already sent the build to Valve perhaps it mean that Amatsutsumi is already ready for the release so that we may have it in the near future. For Sekai's updates, we have Amairo Chocolata 2 was at halfway edited, Harvest Festa was at 60% translated, Yumeiro was at 40% translated along with 10% edited, and the first secret project was in QA.
As for Nope Nope Nurses Steam version, turned out that Shiravune decided to withdrew the VN from Johren thus delayed Steam version release indefinitely. I don't know when they'll manage to release it, but hopefully Shiravune can release it sometimes in the future. Almost forgot to mention that we have Mangagamer did release Genesis, and well if you want more Trinoline because it has beautiful drawing of big breast heroines have a number of sex scenes go get it from Steam and have fun. No mention on Mangagamer's next release, but perhaps it was covered by Evenicle 2 release in which Alicesoft finally manage to work on the release date at February 22nd later (The tweet in regard of it) because it'll be sold on Mangagamer later along with other stores (JAST, Fakku, Johren, Nutaku), so you may note the date if you interested with Evenicle 2 later.
For fan translation, we have Eustia's update in which based on this thread post I'll change the calling here, and in this case we have it at 94.17% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 69.03% in programming. For other updates we have Loverable was at 99.94% translated along with 99.93% edited (So close), Mahoyo was at 71.23% edited, 88.8% original lines of Summer Pockets was reworked, Taimanin Kurenai was 70% proofread, and Chicchakunai Mon was at 88.77% translated. We also have the updates for Tsukihime Remake, in which we have Ciel Day 6 was fully translated along with Arcueid Day 10 and 11 also have some progress (36% and 56% translated respectively), and lastly we have Arcueid Day 6 was already both fully TLC (Translation Check) and edited.
As for Kamiyaba here, turned out that Shiravune did manage to get this released on Steam (The store link) at 27th later. As for Kamiyaba itself, once again it's about the MC Hajime who has been bought the charm for good romance too much because he want to have the romance, and as the result he was approached by the goddess of marriage Urara who tell Hajime that his fate is unstable because of the charms. Thus Urara gave Hajime ultimatum to have lover within one year or else he'll be virgin for the rest of his live, and Urara also give Hajime three possible candidates with outlandish setting (Japan prime minister's daughter, popular idol, and great detective). Obviously Hajime journey to have romance won't be easy, but of course he'll trying to get his goal as much as possible. While you can get Steam version later, you can get Kamiyaba if you want to play this right now and have fun (It's only available in Johren as of now).
Finally after three and half year of waiting since the announcement we have Nekonyan released Hello Lady, although turned out it still has mosaic because the rightsholder for Hello Lady was changed which in turn caused the change in regard of the license therefore it would be impossible to have it released without mosaic like Nekonyan promised (The post about the matter). While Nekonyan can negotiate it so that we can have no mosaic CG, obviously it's not worth to delay the release for the sake of a certain person who only care for no mosaic CG. Anyway for the premise we have Narita who is like boobs so much that he like to grab the boobs of the female even though obviously they won't like it, although behind his love for boobs he hid his real intention in which it's related to his own quest for revenge. As for the version that Nekonyan release, I can say it's the best one because it combined all of the available materials (Main game, FD, extra story from PSV version, and extra sex scenes). Go get Hello Lady if you interested with most well received Akatsuki Work VN, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll tell it at PS later. Anyway as for this week, well let's just say that it's still the same as the last week to me although some may think otherwise because we finally have Total Eclipse (One of Muv Luv spin off for the reminder) finally released after several years age working on the English version of it. Other than Total Eclipse, well there's three nukige releases with one of those from Cherry Kiss. Lastly there's also several updates from Mangagamer and fan translation, which ironically has some interesting one compared to the releases. Overall I suppose I can say this week here is just an average one to me, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
JAST did release the new Mamono Musume, and I have no much to say that at least you can get it if you have some interest to cyclops along with spider girl and harpy (If anything else at least I should be happy that JAST finally can have their monthly releases compared to what we see in the past). Cherry Kiss did release Aristocunts 2, and once again for the info it's not really the sequel of Aristocunts but rather it's the result of the translator's creativity. Go get that if you want to see on how the MC did manage to come into otome game and managed to working together with the stereotypical shoujo manga otome VN villainess and then try to get closer with stereotypical shoujo manga otome VN MC in order to have a lot of sex, and have fun. Lastly Fakku did release Iku Iku Succubus on July 19th, and no much to say other Fakku did manage to release it on time (In this year summer).
As for Muv Luv Total Eclipse, like I say it's one of Muv Luv spin off that get the anime first before finally age decided to make a VN out of it. Or rather actually it's been planned since 2007 with age add the trial of it in Altered Fable before developing it for several years and finally manage to release it in 2013, with the anime itself already aired beforehand in 2012. What I can say is that it should be good addition if you want more Muv Luv and want to see more contents if you already watch the anime beforehand, and well at least the graphic is nice to see. We also have Nekonyan announced that they already have the exact release date for Makeover FD, and said date will be on August 26th later (The tweet for the source) so you can note the date if you want to see more Makeover in the FD.
Mangagamer just give us their regular updates today, and as one of the updates in in regard of Sona-Nyl with it's Refrain contents was 92% integrated into the main script. We also have the update for both of Raillore and Hentai Public Service in which both are having script insertion progress ongoing, Lykt was fully translated and edited along with having script insertion progress ongoing, and last but not the least we finally have Rance IX in testing which obviously mean that the release of it is almost close. Speaking of almost close to the release, we have Taishou Alice fandisc will be released on tomorrow (ie 27th) so you can note the date if you want to see more Taisho Alice. Lastly Mangagamer did say that they'll have some announcements on this Saturday Otakon, so I'll see what they'll announce later.
From fan translation we have 130 out of 138 script files of Nagomibako were edited, Senmomo was at 64.97% edited with Chapter 5 was at 12.33% edited, Chronos was at 10% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 58% edited, Houkago Cinderella was past halfway (50.88%) translated, Chicchakunai Mon was at 16.87% edited, Eustia was at 97.39% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 86.13% in programming, and 21 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu along with her 3 out of 10 sex scenes were translated. Lastly we also have Hokejo new translation project that was established by one of Snow translator (The tweet in regard of it), and unlike the past project this one already has much more progress with the current progress was at 80% edited. Oh yes the translator also planned to add the language toggle button in the patch later, so when the translation patch released later you can read Hokejo in either English or Japanese language.
Almost forgot to note here that we also have usual update on Imaimo, and currently it's been past three quarter (77.6%) edited with Kimika's route was fully edited along with the translator currently working on Ayumu's route that was at 16.4% edited. Also since the editing is almost finished, the translator said that he'll release the translation patch of this on September after the remaining work (QC along with tweak, adjustment, and testing) are all done so you can look forward to it if you want to play more sprite VN there.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
PS - For the title, since we have Aristocunts 2 release that was obviously make parody of the usual reincarnated as villainess in otome game (Even though from what I see it's more like the author of those works are using the villainess from shoujo manga stereotype as the reference for the so-called villainess) and also we finally have Muv Luv Total Eclipse released, I decided to make parody of Mobseka full English title, The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs, so that we have 'The World of Muv Luv is Tough for Mobs' as the title which is quite fitting seeing that the in-universe otome game developer thought that the girl like to play otome game that has robot fighting (For the reminder Muv Luv franchise has a number of robot fighting), and as strange at it sounds turned out that there's a VN like that called Yuukyuu no Tierblade with said VN was developed by Idea Factory.
Because we have Golden Time (Kirikoi fandisc) released, I figure I should make a call back from my past VNTS Review when Kirikoi main VN was released in English by changing 'Maid' into 'Virgin', and the reason for the virgin word here is because the writer of Kirikoi here did write Tsujidou with said VN has a fandisc with the subtitle Virgin Road (Yeah I know that the word virgin here is quite ironic for the fandiscs which consist the after stories for each of heroines). As for this week, Golden Time release aside obviously this is a breather one although it didn't mean that it hasn't some other updates because we still have some notable updates from fan translation along with Sekai Project. Well overall this week is just slightly above average to a degree, and let's just see what I can write in regard of it.
The notable updates from Sekai here aren't from Animal Trail (Finished QA progress and currently waiting or the approval), the little sister succubus nukige (Currently in QA), or ReLord 3 (Also currently in QA). But instead it's the confirmation that most of Sekai announcements from AX (Nekopara 5, Hamidashi, Raspberry Cube, Sheol, Nie no Hakoniwa) have 18+ contents, although their way to confirm is quite roundabout by writing those title in Denpasoft article on AX 2022 announcements (Maybe Sekai need to be careful in AX when it come to announce 18+ contents). It's quite obvious that the article didn't write about Parfait, because unlike Baldr Sky this time GIGA has the reason to not translate 18+ version of it and said reason is because GIGA did release PS2 version that has two new heroines, so it's possible that GIGA will ask Sekai to release the backport version of PS2 of it. Well at least we got the confirmation that both new Madosoft VNs will have the sex scenes translated.
We have Tsukihime Remake translation team released the patch that translate Arcueid's route, and no much to say in regard of it other than you can now play translated Arcueid's route in modern graphic (Which also add some new contents in the remake, and admittedly the new graphic itself is quite good) if you have Switch. We also has some big updates in Ciel's route now that we have Arcueid's route patch released, and said update is that they manage to translate Day 12 through Day 15 of Ciel's route. For the other fan translation updates, we have Chronos was at 5% edited, Houkago Cinderella was at 49.74% translated, Imaimo was at 46.5% edited with Matsuri's route was fully edited along with Kimika's route was at 48.7% edited, and 15 out of 37 script files of Yuzuki's route of Ginharu were translated.
As for Golden Time, it should be obvious that it resemble Tsujidou Virgin Road if we look at the writer alone (Both Kirikoi and Tsujidou are written by the same writer for the reminder). While some may understandably misunderstood that this is the first time that Saga Planet released the FD, actually this is the second time they release the FD because turned out that they also release a fandisc way back in 2001. Also it seems that other than to satisfy the fans who have some concern about a certain ending, I think Saga Planet here made Golden Time because they want to test the new engine after they separated from Visual Art's seeing that they won't be able to use Siglus anymore (Siglus license is under Visual Art's license). For Golden Time itself, other than the after stories we also have the new routes for two of side characters in Kirikoi (Mina and Ayaka) along with the alternative ending of a certain route. Well go get Golden Time if you want to see more Kirikoi, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - I forgot to mention that we'll have the KS for Venus Blood Gaia was planned to be held on between late July to to early August (The tweet in regard of it), although the reason on why I mention it is not because the little delay. Instead the reason here is because Ninetails decided to recast one of the VA to voicing a character, Titie, that was previously voiced by Fujimori Yukina, and the result is that Titie new VA here will be Yahiro Mami (Or if you prefer her new alias Azuma Shizu). My concern is that Ninetail here will probably write some new scenes with Titie here, because there's no reason to do the recast if Ninetails just keep localized Gaia as it is, especially when Shiravune can still localized Primal Hearts with the original voice that has one of the heroines voiced by Fujimori Yukina.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have both of Gears of Dragoon 2 announced along with Junketsu Megami-Sama getting some progress I decided to change the word 'Dragoon' into 'Goddess' (Translation Notes: Megami-sama mean goddess) so we have 'Gears of Goddess' as the title. As for this week, the most obvious things here would be that this is a breather week after a number of announcements at the last week. That said it didn't mean that there wasn't something interesting though, because in this week we finally have Nekonyan gave us an updates (Even though they just gave it on Sunday) along with Sekai, and more importantly we have the sex scenes from Saya's route of Miagete was finally translated. Overall I can say that this week here is an above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Besides several announcements, actually Aksys also gave the updates on several of their project in regard of the releases estimation. Although admittedly there's a lot to write in the last week VNTS Review, so I missed those updates. Anyway for the updates we have Koinegau planned to be released at Spring 2023 (ie between March to June 2023), Lover Pretend planned to be released on September later, Paradigm Paradox planned to be released on October, and Piofiore 1926 will be released on September 8th later. I don't know if Aksys will manage to fulfill the deadline later, especially in regard of Piofiore 1926 seeing that they still list the release date on September 22nd so let's see it later. I also forgot to write that Birushana was already released on June 28th in last week, so I'd write it here and have fun if you took a liking to that otome VN.
Sekai did revamp their Translation Tracker, and it's quite neat with the tracker show the date when the last updates happened. That said no notable updates to me seeing that both new Madosoft VNs are still at 0% translated. Anyway for the updates we have both of Nekopara 5 (Or as the official title say Nekopara After) and Inupara are obviously still in development, Nie no Hakoniwa was at 20% translated, Yumeiro was at 65% translated, Zutto Mae Kara Joshi Deshita (The VN where the MC date his best friend who turned out to be male after the MC thought his best friend is male) was started translation work, Imouto no Seiiki was fully edited and currently they worked on the engine, Gakkou no Seiiki was started the editing work, and Akaneiro was at 10% translated. Also no the last update is not the typo because turned our that Sekai is indeed still work on 5% of the script in the past weeks instead of 50%, and the one with 50% translated is turned out to be the typo.
After two years absences, we finally have Loe Translation give the update in regard of Junketsu Megami-sama with said updates is the translator almost finished with one of the route (Asterotte's), and no much to say other than it's good to see that it's still worked on. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Chronos was at 35% translated, Chicchakunai Mon was at 14.5% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 57% edited, Houkago Cinderella was at 48.22% translated, Imaimo was at 29.1% edited with common route was fully edited and Matsuri's route was past halfway (50.9%) edited, Ruitomo was at 4.20% edited, Senmomo was at 62.02% edited with Chapter 5 was at 9.35% edited, and 14 out of 37 script files of Yuzuki's route of Ginharu along with her 2 out of 10 sex scenes were translated. We finally have Snow translation team continuing to work on Miagete uncensor patch, and they also already have some good progress on it with them finished translating all of the sex scenes in Saya's route. For the info Miagete here has 17 sex scenes and Saya's route has four scenes, so the progress here is 4 out of 17 Miagete's sex scenes were translated.
For Nekonyan's updates, the most obvious update is that they basically confirm that they'll release Golden Time on Friday (ie July 15th). Of course though other than the confirmation of release date we also have some other updates. For the other updates, we have Clover Days was at 5% in QA with them waiting on fixed animation assets from the developer, Laplacian helping Nekonyan on porting the image of Mirai Radio, Makeover FD was started the QA work, ensemble working together with Nekonyan in regard of Secret Agent programming work, FF was at 93% translated along with 21% edited, Royale was at 90% edited, and Kakenuke was at 15% translated. We also have Nekonyan indirectly announced that they'll release Dracu Riot for Switch with the progress is they also currently porting it to Unity for Switch version. Lastly if you're curious about the non VN (Lorena) update, we have it was fully translated and edited along with them working to integrating the additional content.
That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late again. See you next week.
This week title is come from one of Shakespeare's play, The Merchant of Venice, in which I changed the word 'Venice' to 'Tenbridge' in which the latter is the place setting in Newton VN (Tenbridge University). The reason for the title is obviously because we have Laplacian did manage to release Aojashin on time and that we have Shakespeare in Aojashin (Not as the heroine, but as one of the MC). Other than Aojashin release, we also have several updates with both of Tokyo Onmyouji and Erovoice exact release date announcement. Overall I can say that this week is an average one to me (Although of course for some people this week can be a big one thanks to Aojashin's release), and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
We have Aojashin was released at 9th (One day before the promised date, so at least they do well on that matter), and as expected some didn't respond it nicely which to say is quite understandable because Laplacian decided to removed the sex scenes along with changing the setting for one of case by making the heroine is university student and thus removed Kimiyume school setting reference (The writer's way to communicate the decision did help little with the anger). That aside, it's still nice VN to play if you want a VN that has the same premise as Fata Morgana and a dark story, so you can play it if you didn't mind the lack of sex scenes and have fun. If anything else, at least there'll be several new contents that was supposed to make up for the sex scenes removal along with the music mode addition. By the way it's too bad that the project to restore the sex scenes was cancelled, but I suppose I'll just move on from this because it's not like this is the first time a well received VN got censored release overseas (Previously there're ChuSingura 46+1 and Noraneko duology).
From Mangagamer we have them announced the exact release date for Erovoice, and unlike Aojashin obviously the sex scenes of it are still intact. For anyone else who interested to get it, it'll be released at 24th later. As expected Degica did released the new chapter of Yumemi Dreamer at each Thursday, and in this week we have the fifth chapter of it was released. We also have Tokyo Onmyoji exact release date like I say above, and for the date it'll be at 25th later so you can note the release date if you want to play it. Visual Arts has a plan to release Loopers in this year (2022), and let's see if we can see it done later. Lastly we have artlink announced that they'll release SugarKiss at this month, and with this now we have all of Hachimitsu Soft VNs localized by artlink.
As usual we have some updates from fan translation. For the updates we have Harugi was at 51% edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at 85% translated, Chicchakunai Mon was at 90% translated, Eustia was at 94.70% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 71.84% in programming, Senmomo was at 30.38% edited with Chapter 2 was at 71.64% edited, 57 out of 138 script files of Nagomibako was edited, Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 has 10 scripts worked on, and finally we have Loverable was at both fully translated and edited with the new progress that it's been at 73.34% approved (It would be like the equivalent of QA for the info). For Tsukihime Remake update we have Arcueid Day 10 was fully translated with Day 12 was at 83% translated. Lastly we have the team who translate WA 2 announce that they'll work on WA2 FD (Mini After Story), and it'll tell the story that happened after each routes in Coda. As for the progress there's still none, but at least the translation work of it shouldn't be as long as the whole main VN seeing that it's a short length VN.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
This week title is obviously the parody of Reflection Blue with I'd change 'Summer' into 'Snow' and 'Blue' into 'White' (Because snow here is obviously white), and the reason for the parody is simply because we have Snow full translation patch released with Snow here is resembled older KEY VNs, Kanon and Air, to a degree with even the producers themselves acknowledge that Snow's structure did resemble those two KEY VNs. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and we have several nice releases in this week, especially the aforementioned Snow in which it's a historical VN although it's not as influential as Kanon. Other than Snow release, we still have some updates with the notable one are the release date announcements for some VNs. Overall this week is another interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Mangagamer did release Patient S in which as we know it's premise is resembling Evenicle 2 premise (Although to be fair the premise is quite the norm when it come to write the story that involving hospital, disease, and sex), and no much to say other than have fun if you're like BL VN and already looking forward to the release since Mangagamer announce it. age did announce that they finally ready to release Total Eclipse, and they'll release it at July 20th later so you can note the date if you've been waiting for it. We also finally have the release date for Mahoyo, and Aniplex will release it at December 8th later (The info is from the Type Moon video that has two VAs discussing Mahoyo). Last but not the least, we have Kirikoi Golden Time exact release date in that it'll be at July 15th later, although it might be a placeholder date so let's see it later.
From fan translation updates, we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 56% edited, Senmomo was at 60.92% translated with Chapter 4 was fully edited, ChiSingura was at 6.07% translated, and Imaimo was almost finished with the current progress was at 96.7% translated with Ayumu's route was at 87.7% translated. We also have Tsukihime Remake translation team finished the finalization process for Arcueid's route, and with that done they announce that they'll release the translation patch for Arcueid's route at July later. Speaking of translation patch, we also have one that translate the new chapter from Subahibi Full Voice, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, which may be nice to read if you still not satisfied with the original content.
Spike Chunsoft released Somnium 2 back at 24th. As expected the MC will be Mizuki which as we know is the step daughter of Date is become the police, although in here we have another MC with said male MC is the police who will work together with Mizuki (The dual MC with different gender here may be because of Nakazawa Takumi who help Uchikoshi in the scenario, and if we remember there's a certain VN that has same setup and was worked on by Nakazawa (Remember11)). Obviously there's a reason on why two polices work together, and said reason is because there's a new serial killing case happening with the victim body was split into two along with some new mysterious plot that only known as Nirvana Interactive (The title drop). Of course Somnium 2 here will have science fiction plot, so you can play this if you're in the mood for detective VN with some science fiction plot.
Almost forgot to mention that we have underrated GL VNs announcement, and said GL VN is 'Watashi-tachi Marriage 1' or in English it's Our Marriage 1 (The info in regard of the VN). What I know is that the premise was related to all girl school, the MC is obviously will be the female one, and that the company behind it was worked on Ne No Kami duology (I suppose they decided to go self publishing instead of keep working together with Sekai). Oh and in case it's not obvious enough with the number 1 after the title, this VN is most likely will be serial VN with more chapter in the future. The developer also already planned to have this released at August later, so let's see if they can do it later.
As for Snow that has the full translation patch released, basically it's 2003 VN with the MC was come into his cousin hometown that covered in eternal snow thanks to some supernatural happening, and from there our MC will have relationship with one of the heroines. I did mention that this is historical VN, and it's because in Snow we have two staffs (The artist and the composer) who would working on Yuzusoft VNs in the future with Snow itself might be the basis for future Yuzusoft VNs. I say this because the developer here is basically the predecessor of Yuzusoft, and Snow premise here is resemble Senren Banka to a degree although admittedly Snow's premise is quite common. I did forget to mention that the writers of Snow themselves will write some interesting VNs as well, such as Da Capo trilogy and Flyable Hearts. Go get Snow if you interested with old VN that resemble older KEY VN, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Edit (06/27) - Cherry Kiss announce that they'll release yet another nukige at July 22nd later with said nukige is related to villainess in otome VN stuff, and this time we have the male MC was reincarnated into the world of otome VN to have a lot of sex with the female MC of otome VN and the villainess. Oh yes while the localized title of the nukige is Aristocunts II, it's not the sequel of Aristocunts that was also released by Cherry Kiss (instead the title is the result of the translator's creativity).
As for this title, it should be obvious that I parodied the last VNs from Saga Planet Season series Hatsuyuki Sakura (Also the most well received one) that was written by Niijima Yuu because Hatsuyuki Sakura here is represent winter (It should be obvious that snow here is meant winter, and for translation note yuki mean snow), and the reason for the parody is in regard of Flowers Winter release so I'd combine 'Hatsuyuki' and 'Flowers'. Speaking of Niijima, coincidentally we also have Summer Pockets Reflection Blue (Niijima here is also one of Summer Pockets writer) translation patch released with said version add several new routes, although ironically all of those new routes weren't written by Niijima. Other than those two big releases, we still have some updates with Mangagamer decided to do their batch of updates after some times not doing it. Overall I can say this week is an interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Shiravune did release Icha x2 Study, and content wise there's not much happened other than the MC will have a lot of passionate love making that goes for a long time in which it seems to be Marmalade's VNs specialty (At least it has good graphic). While Icha x2 Steady here is indeed Marmalade's VN, it's not the big title like either Primal Hearts duology or Mashimaro but instead it's just the fandisc that cover one of Study Steady heroines Yuu in which it should be good enough for Yuu's fans and want more of it. Anyway go get Icha x2 Study if you want to see Yuu being very affectionate towards the nameless MC (Note that the MC's default name here is basically Marma Lade (ie the company name) so may as well treat the MC as nameless), and have fun.
As for Mangagamer's update, the biggest one is that we finally have the updates for Rance X in which it's been at 46% translated along with 5% edited, and it should be noted that it's quite a big progress to have it at almost halfway translated because Rance X script size is quite massive from what I'd read. Other than Rance X update, we also have IX is closer to the testing (Hopefully we'll see it entering the testing in the near future), Hentai Public Service (The new Clock Up nukige with tacky uniform for the info) was fully translated and edited, Sona-Nyl Refrain contents was 87% integrated into the main script, and Raillore was fully edited. No much to say other than at least it's good to see that Mangagamer here got some progress on last two Rance games along with Sona-Nyl, so let's see what they'll have to announce at AX later.
Speaking of AX, JAST was also planned to attend it as well so naturally there'll be a lot to expect when it come to announcements. That said, obviously our focus here is in regard of Flowers Winter in which JAST managed to release each part of Flowers tetralogy at two years. Release time aside, in Flowers Winter our MC here is going back to Suoh after the previous parts have another MCs (Erika and Yuzuriha). This time our Suoh here decided to resolve the cause of her heartbreak that has happened at the end of Flowers Spring with the help of several clues that she got, and obviously it won't be easy matter for her because there'll be several obstacle for Suoh to finally resolve her situation. Anyway one should note that Flowers here won't be like Kara no Shoujo when it come to the graphic contents, and of course the art is still quite nice looking. Go get Flowers Winter from JAST or Steam if you've been waiting to play the last part of the tetralogy.
From fan translation, besides Alka successfully released Reflection Blue we have Chronos was at a quarter translated, Arcueid's route of Tsukihime Remake was fully edited and almost finished finalization process, ChuSingura was at 5.89% translated, Houkago Cinderella was at 46.54% translated, Senmomo was at 60.54% edited with Chapter 4 was past 90% mark (92.62%) edited, Ruitomo was at 19.32% translated along with 2.88% edited, and Imaimo was at 83.6% translated with Ayumu's route was at 38.9% translated. We also have Snow just finished final pass for all of the routes, and the team decided to release it at three days later (ie 24th) so let's see if we'll going to have it released at that date later.
Last but not the least there's Reflection Blue in which it's the upgraded version of Summer Pockets. While some of you may think that it's redundant release with altered texts like back at Rewrite+, actually this time KEY add new routes with new heroines with with most of the new heroines are supporting characters from original Summer Pockets (KEY was also doing this back at Little Busters, although they didn't add the sex scenes in Reflection Blue). Some of the contents of the new routes will either add more development to the new heroines or some more info to the setting, so we can say that it's worth to get if one want more Summer Pocket. Visual Art themselves also has plan to localized this later, although obviously with Alka finally manage to release the translation patch first the Visual Art version of Reflection Blue will be redundant (If VA manage to release it later). Go get Reflection Blue if you want to play more Summer Pockets, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week title since we have the sequel of Ryuusei World Actor released I'm obviously make the parody of the title. Obviously since Kinugasa wrote both of Akagoei 2/FD and Ryuusei, I did make parody of Akagoei again by changing 'Guardian' into 'Police' along with changing 'Ladies' into 'Actors' so we have 'Police of Daybreak: A Day in the Life of the Actors' as this week title. As for this week, after several weeks with many good announcements this week we have less number in regard of both updates and releases, although of course some updates can be quite interesting to a degree. Overall I can say that this week is slightly below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
Cherry Kiss released the nukige about dog girl, and no much to say other than have fun if you already enjoyed said VN. As for Ryuusei 2, the contents is more in regard of the routes for two side characters from previous part, although apparently it's more like that the less focus was put on the heroines and our Kinugasa here is put more focus on the story in order to set up the next part, possibly the last part of the trilogy if we follow his pattern back when he wrote Akagoei. I also find out that Ryuusei 2 did continue from a certain chapter back at previous part, and if anything else at least Kinugasa for all of his fault on writing the ending can set up the trilogy properly compared to Grisaia in which the staffs only focused to make charage on the first part without providing the real prologue of Meikyuu (Frontwing's circumstance back then aside). Anyway go get Ryuusei 2 if you want to see more of Ryuusei World Actor, and have fun.
Mangagamer will released Patient S (The BL VN with the same premise as Evenicle 2 for the reminder) at 23rd later, and you can note the date if you want to read more BL VN. Other than Mangagamer announcement for the exact release date of a BL VN, we have Sekai updated several of their projects. Those updates from Sekai are Animal Trails was at 90% in QA, both of Gakkou no Seiiki and Harvest Festa were fully translated, and Chiisana Kanojo no Serenade was finally started being worked on with the progress is at 15% translated.
From fan translation section, Senmomo was at 58.94% edited with Chapter 4 was at 61.98% edited, Chronos was at 20% translated, Ruitomo was at 19.08% translated with common route was at 84.21% translated, Fuyu Kiss was at halfway translated (Yuki's route was fully translated) along with 5% edited, Reika/Kyouka route of Akagoei 2/FD was already fully translated and for the next route the translator will focused on Aya's route, and Imaimo was at 67.3% translated with Mao's route was at 67.2% translated. Lastly we have ChuSingura re-translation project and said project is obviously including adding the sex scenes, although seeing that ChuSingura itself has a ton of lines (At 82,770 lines) it'll be a while to see it fully translated. Anyway as for the current progress, 4,669 lines (Or 5.64% from the overall lines) of it has been translated. I'll keep my eyes on the project here.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry if it's quite short here. See you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have both of Amagami and Higurashi Rei released I figure that I'll just make parody for one of Higurashi Rei arc, Saikoroshi, by changing 'Saiko' into 'Ebi' (From one of Amagami release version Ebikore) so we have 'Higurashi: Ebikoroshi-hen' as this week VNTS Review title, which to say may came of as a bit unusual seeing that Ebikoroshi is literally mean 'Shrimp Killing'. As for this week here some of the updates that we get here are quite interesting especially the one from fan translation section, and of course there's the releases with two of those both are Ryukishi's VNs in that it should be good for his fans even though the releases may not up to far to his well received works in the past. Overall this week is pretty much an above average one compared to the last week, and let's see what I can write in regard of it.
JAST did release Neko Night back at May 31st, and not much to say other than have fun if you already have been interested with another nukige with cat girl as the heroine. Speaking of nukige, we have Shiravune will released the fandisc of Study Steady (In which it's technically nukige) called Icha x2 Study at 17th later. Said fandisc will be focused on one of the heroine from Study Steady, Yuu, with the MC will spent some more times together with her, including having a lot of sex and obviously flirting a lot. If you like Yuu back when you play the original Study Steady, you can note the date go the the FD later on. We also have age planned to release Total Eclipse at this summer, although obviously the plan can be changed so let's wait and see if age can manage to do it later.
I did forget to mention that there's several updates in regard of some otome VNs, or rather I just find out about those VNs now. The first one is in regard of Amnesia fandisc, in which Idea Factory has plan to release both fandisc (Later and Crowd) in one package. There's still no more detail on when the package will be released other than it'll be at this year. The second one is also from Idea Factory, and said otome VN, Birushana Senki, already has exact release date in which it'll be at 28th later. From what I see, Birushana Senki here has a premise about on how a losing clan has the youngest descendant being female having an adventure to take down the rival clan, and from the adventure she may find out something deeper in regard of the conflict. The last one is in regard of Piofiore 1926 exact release date, in which it'll be at September 22nd later.
Visual Arts did release Loopers at 2nd, although it's only for Switch with Steam version of it will be released at later days. From what I see while it has unique premise, apparently people did criticize this because the writer, Ryukishi07, didn't going all out with the writing much. If anything else, at least we got another KEY VN translated and that I find the art here did resemble Western cartoon. Go get Loopers if you have Switch and been interested with it, and have fun. Speaking of Ryukishi, we also have Higurashi Rei (His another work) released by Mangagamer. As for Rei itself, it's the fandisc of Higurashi in which it show some life after Matsuribayashi and supposed to be the last part that show post-Matsuribayashi story, at least until the (in)famous Gou Sotsu duology. Anyway if you want to see more Higurashi, go get Rei and have fun.
As for fan translation updates, other than Amagami release we have Chronos was at 15% translated, Chaos Head Noah was at 44.92% TLC-ed along with 43.89% edited, Akagoei FD prologue was fully retranslated along with Kyouka/Reika route was at 40% translated, all of original lines of Summer Pockets were reworked and currently Reflection Blue is in the final testing, Snow full translation patch was planned to be released at this month, the translation patch for Pure Pure was re-released with the new release has all of the text inserted into the game, Imaimo was past halfway (54.2%) translated with Kimika's route was at 93.7% translated, Ruitomo was at 18.74% translated along with 2.04% edited, Senmomo was at 58.10% edited with Chapter 4 was past halfway (51.74%) edited, Eustia was at 97.13% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 84.76% in programming, and Mizuha's route of Ginharu was finished the second pass with the route is currently in editing.
Before going to Amagami release, we also have the update from Aojashin restoration project in that they already add Case 2 sex scenes into the patch and currently they starting to work on Case 3 sex scenes with one of the scenes was translated. As for Amagami, from what I read it's about a guy who've been broken hearted because of someone two years ago try to open his heart to love again, and the chance of it happen is up to one of the six female (ie the heroines) at his school. Other than that, Amagami here is console VN which mean there'll be no sex scene and so you must play it using emulator for the console of you choice of Amagami (Either PS2 or PSP version). That said while Amagami is technically full release that was finally happening after 10 years of waiting, there's still some work to trimming the bug (The reason on why the patch is called Public Beta Patch) although if you already decided to play it then have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
As for this week VNTS Review title, I just combined 'Scarlet' from Taimanin Kurenai (Translation note: Kurenai mean scarlet) and 'Healer' from newest Alicesoft VN (A Housewife's Healing Touch) so that we have 'The Scarlet Healer' for the title with it has parallel with isekai light novel Black Healer (The novel MC is female with usual otome VN setting). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and compared to the last week I guess I can say that this week is quite passionate with the number of released nukige. That aside though, what I can say is that this week is pretty much a breather compared to the last week, so overall to me it's below average here (If anything else at least there's still some updates from fan translations here). Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
We have artlink released their nukige that has non-wife single heroine, and no much to say on the VN other than you can play the VN if you've been looking forward to it. We also have Shiravune (Looking from the credit) did release the VN that set in the same setting as Boku to Nurse (ie nurse nukige) that was translated way back at 2017, and said VN is Boku to Joi in which it depict the MC who become the doctor and see her senior who work in the same hospital as the MC along with his nurse childhood friend. I can only say good for Prekano that they manage to officially localized their VN after they failed to do it with Boku to Nurse when Sol Press out of all publisher did attempt to do it, although admittedly at around 2018 they'd do quite well. Go get the VN if you want to see more of nukige with hospital setting, and have fun. Speaking of nukige, JAST did announce another one from Chaos-L with the title Neko Night and they'll release it at 31st later.
Primula decided to localize Taisho Alice fandisc, and no much the info in regard of the release date other than it'll be released at this year later on. We also have Mangagamer announce the exact release date for a certain VN, and said VN is Higurashi Rei in which it's like the sequel of Higurashi original VN (More like fandisc though). Also it should be mentioned that with this it's pretty much confirmed that Mangagamer will worked on the rest of Higurashi additional material that was bundled in one package (For Japanese release) as Higurashi Hou. Oh yes the release date for Higurashi Rei here will be at June 2nd later, and other than that I can say that one of Rei arc here can be said as better ending for Higurashi beside Miotsukushi compared to Sotsu and Gou duology.
We have Taimanin Kurenai released in which said VN has usual ninja (Called Taimanin) who work as demon slayer, and said ninja will be inevitably raped by the demon with Kurenai here is not the exception. Go play Taimanin Kurenai if you want to play more Black Lilith VN, and have fun. For fan translation updates, we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 54% edited, Chaos Head Noah was at 43.43% edited along with 40.32% TLC-ed, Chicchakunai Mon was at 97.4% translated, Ruitomo was at 15.61% translated with common route was at 68.88% translated, Imaimo was at 19.6% translated with common route was almost fully (At 97.8%) translated, Eustia was at 96.58% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 81.80% in programming, and 94 out of 139 script files for Mizuha's route of Ginharu was translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
As for this week, since we have a new project with the goal to translate the single VN from sprite's branch company (fairy's) along with that we have Ruitomo translation project with the title can be translated as 'Birds of a Feather Flock Together' (Or rather Ruitomo full title is Japanese equivalent of 'Birds of a Feather Flock Together' saying), I decided to change 'Birds' into 'Fairies' so we have 'Fairies of a Feather Flock Together' (For the info, there's also a species of bird called fairy blue-bird). Anyway as for this week while we still have some nice number of updates from fan translation, with the lack of official announcement I can't help but to be blunt that this week here is more or less a plain one. Of course though one can say that this is a breather week before the next week in which there'll be several releases, so at least we can say that it's nice to get some breather here. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Frontwing decided to moved up Hatsumira exact release date from 29th to 28th, and I should say that good job to them there. They decided to also released 18+ version of it as well, in which while it should be what they did there's some doubt if Frontwing will release said 18+ version of Hatsumira for overseas there, especially when we see what Laplacian did with Aojashin overseas release (The writer's own communication skill didn't help the matter at all). Oh yes Frontwing here pretty much released Hatsumira in the same format as their Japanese release, in which they'll released all age version first following with 18+ version later on. Forgot to mention that we also have Cherry Kiss released their NTR nukige back at 15th, and no much to say other than have fun if you already play it.
As for this week fan translation updates, we have Eustia was at 96.02% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 78.86% in programming, Harugi was at 61% edited, Watamasu was at 36% in QA, 8.49% lines of Loverable were approved (Apparently the progress was reset beforehand so I'll going to assume that this is the last step before finally we have Loverable ready for the release), Shigure's route of Snow was at 80% translated, Taimanin Kurenai was fully edited and 80% in proofreading, Chicchakunai Mon was at 93.4% translated, Houkago Cinderella was at 41.57% translated, Ruitomo was at 11.62% translated along with 7.11% edited, Senmomo was past halfway (52.16%) edited along with Chapter 3 was past three quarter (79.47%) edited, Akagoei was fully edited, and 72 out of 139 script files Mizuha's route of Ginharu was translated (And no, then fact that Mizuha's route has only 139 script files instead of 141 script files here is not the typo).
Lastly we have a new project with the mention to translate the single VN from fairy's, and said VN is obviously Ima Sugu Onii-chan ni Imouto da tte Iitai! or Imaimo for the short form of it. What I know from Imaimo is that it's share the same setting as Koichoco and two of Koichoco heroines (Chisato and Satsuki) are the relatives for two of Imaimo heroines, it share same artist as Koichoco (And in turn Ryuusei World Actor because Koichoco's artist did design Ryuusei's character as well), and that it's all age VN in the first place so no sex scenes in Imaimo. As for the premise, well it's more or less in regard of the MC who gained new step sister with said sister initially do the crossdress as male character. I'll keep my eyes on it from now on, and as of now we have it at 9.5% translated with common route was at 47.36% translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - There's a nukige that will be localized by artlink and it'll be released at May later. No much to say here other than the single heroine in said nukige is not the wife character like their previous VNs from Hachimitsu Soft.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Mahoyo translation announced with the translated version will have voices along with that we have Houkago Cinderella new (Rough) patch released, I decided to make another VA parody in which the 'Titania' part is based on Aozaki Aoko's (Mahoyo MC for the reminder) VA, Tomatsu Haruka, one of her well known role in Sword Art Online as Asuna who at one point got called Titania (Granted that Asuna herself has some trauma in regard of the calling). As for the 'Afterschool' part, it's obviously the direct translation of 'Houkago'. Anyway as for this week I can say that it's more active compared to the last week, in which most of it come from several new projects in fan translation. Other than that we have Doukyuusei Remake release along with Frontwing manage to have exact release date for Hatsumira, so overall this week is an above average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Good for Frontwing that they manage to do well on their Hatsumira build so they didn't encounter weird bug like at Sharin so that we have Hatsumira ready for the release, and for the exact release date it'll be at 29th later so if you've been looking forward to this you can note the date. For usual fan translation updates, we have Watamasu was at 33% in QA, Chicchakunai Mon was at 92.3% edited, 50 out of 141 script files of Mizuha's route from Ginharu was translated, Senmomo was at 49.20% edited with Chapter 3 was at 62.36% edited, Ruitomo was at 8.99% translated (Common route was at 39.68% translated) along with 2.52% edited, 111 out of 138 script files of Nagomibako was edited, 3 out of 37 script files of Tsukikana's common route was translated, and Eustia was at 95.78% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 77.59% in programming.
We have a new project for with the goal to translate Fuyu Kiss, although that said the person who work on it only reveal the progress on VNDB. In regard of it I decided to keep my eyes on it for a while, and for the info Fuyu Kiss here is one of GIGA VN that has usual moege setting unlike their Baldr series. Oh yes we already have some progress on it, and currently it's been at 40% translated along with 1% edited. We also have new translation project for Caucasus in that it's another VN from Innocent Grey with mystery element along with some good drawing, so at least you can expect usual good (And bloody) graphic although apparently Caucasus here is not as good as Kara no Shoujo trilogy (At least you can still expect some detective gameplay in there because there'll be murder case). Anyway as for the progress it's been fully translated and image edited, although right now they did several works on it (Programming, editing, TLC, and QC) before finally have it ready for the release.
In regard of Houkago Cinderella patch, this time we have the patch that translate Tanomi's route along with Youka's and common routes so you can get it if you want to play Tanomi's route. That said it's still rough one though, so obviously the patch is still not have some proper editing (Like Yosuga no Sora). Anyway as for the next plan, the team will translate Tsukishi's route although of course the plan can be changed in the future.
Lastly we have Doukyuusei Remake released in which it's a very old VN that was released way back at 1992, so if I may be blunt here there's no much heroines story compared to usual nowadays moege/charage. That said though, it make sense if back at 1992 the people only focused on getting the girl in the game instead of hearing the heroines story, although of course Doukyuusei itself is quite influential if we consider the original release year in which it said to invent dating sim genre (Although obviously nowadays it's hard to see on how influential Doukyuusei back then). At least the dialogue in Doukyuusei has some humor in there, so perhaps you can try it if you're in the mood for comedic writing (Also if you want to try the old VN) and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates released along with Sakura Succubus 5 release (Good to see that Winged Cloud still be able to milk Sakura Succubus I suppose) I changed 'Succubus' into 'Cherubim' so we have 'Sakura Cherubim' for the title (The reason is because we have Cherubim as the part of the setting in Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates). As for this week, initially I thought that this would be a plain one although a certain today announcement did at least has some interesting circumstances behind it, so I suppose this week here is overall quite an average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review.
Sekai did release Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates, and what I can say is that it's created by the former Eushully staffs with the art drawn by Eushully former artist. The premise is very simple in which the MC met up with the group of half-angel half-beast girl called Cherubim, and the MC did accompany the Cherubim with the MC will have romance with the Cherubim. Yeah this is more or less like Nekopara and the like, although the VN here is actually adapted the doujin manga. Also judging from the number of the heroines and the fact that it has 'Volume 1' word, it's pretty obvious that there'll be a plan to develop two more VNs to allow the MC to have romance with all of three heroines. Go get the VN if you want to play a serial moege VN with the art that resemble Eushully's VN (By the way the first volume heroine here resembled Kuna from Amayui Labyrinth Meister), and have fun.
Aniplex planned to released Mahoyo on Switch and PS4, in which it's normal if Aniplex want to distribute it seeing that they did broadcast Fate Stay Night DEEN version in Indonesia way back at 2007 through Animax (Both Aniplex and Animax are under Sony). More importantly the plan is to add the English language support in the release later, so effectively it mean that Type-Moon decided to allow Mahoyo to be localized. While it looks surprising at the first glance, actually it make sense to a degree seeing that we also have Melty Blood in which it's Type Moon game was localized. Obviously though it mean that the release will be overlapped with the fan translation of PC version, and actually the console version here would be superior one seeing that it has voice as well. In case you want to get it, it'll be available at December later so you can note the month if you have either Switch or PS4.
Love Lab will localize a VN with the maid that has localized title 'Maid for Loving You', and it's still unknown whether it's one of their two secret project or not. If anything else, at least I know that it has maid heroine and it'll be a short length VN. We also have a fan translation group with the goal to translate Ruitomo, and as we know Ruitomo is another VN from Akatsuki Work (Hello Lady and Comyu developer for the reminder) with the MC being a trap thanks to the curse. From there our MC will find several other cursed people who share similar situation with the MC, and they'll stick together as the group. I'll keep my eyes on the project, and good luck to the translator of it. For the progress we have it at 5.34% translated with common route was at 23.54% translated.
For the rest of fan translation updates at this week, we have Senmomo was at 46.98% edited with Chapter 3 was at 49.53% edited, Harugi was at 60% edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at 95% edited, Chicchakunai Mon was at 91% translated, Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 has 26 script files worked on, Eustia was at 95.34% in programming with Licia's chapter was past three quarter (75.23%) in programming, and 38 out of 141 script files of Mizuha's route in Ginharu was translated with the translator finished translated the middle school arc of Mizuha's route (For the reminder each of Ginharu routes are divided into three arc (Middle school arc, high school arc, and college arc)). Lastly we have the team behind Aojashin uncensoring project reveal that they decided to continuing on translating the rest of the sex scenes, and currently they translate two more sex scenes from the second case so at least it may be possible to see all the sex scenes in Aojashin translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. As for the title since we have Onee-chan no Yuuwaku (Translated as Temptation of Older Sister) released I decided to make VA parody in regard of the VA (Momoi Ichigo), so we have 'Temptation of Stormy Sword Deity' as this week review title and for the info Stormy Sword Deity is the title for corrupted Tyrca of Venus Blood Frontier (Tyrca here has two different titles for her two different forms, and I chose her title for her corrupted form because it fit more with the word temptation) with Tyrca herself voiced by Momoi Ichigo as well. As for this week while release wise there's no much interesting thing, at least there're several interesting announcements. Overall this week is an average one even with some of the released title have interesting circumstances, and let's see what I can write about this week here.
Love Lab did add one more secret project with the new project was at 10% translated while at the same time they also have their first secret project was at halfway translated. Turned out that my guess is right that the one who work on Jack Jeanne is Aksys, and they'll release it in the next year (ie 2023). Cherry Kiss announced another nukige with NTR, and it'll be released at 15th later. Finally we have Degica released 12th chapter of Yumemi Dreamers, and with this it mean that we have all part of Yumemi Dreamers released. If you want to read very usual magical girl that Kogado here did make it like Precure (It got the story where the mascot was cased by the cadres of the evil organization and then hand over the power to the chosen girl, although in here you'll play as the male best friend of the chosen girl), then go get it and have fun. Note that it also has rhythm and RPG gameplay, although from what I can see the latter is quite simple while for the former it's like Symphonic Rain (Same developer).
Mangagamer did release Seventh Lair, and what I know is that it has Fata Morgana characters with different story in which I can only say that it's quite awkward (Granted that turned out it's April Fool release, so the awkwardness might be intentional). Other than that so far the reception of this is less favorable compared to Fata Morgana, but if you just want to see Fata Morgana casts in the new story then you can get Seventh Lair and have fun. Mangagamer announced their next release, and it's Uchi no Imouto that they'll release at 28th later. Speaking of release date Sekai announced that they'll release Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates first volume at Friday (8th) later, and perhaps you can try it later if you like Eushully's drawing seeing that the artist did work on several Eushully VNs in the past.
This week we have quite a number of fan translation updates, and in fact we also have Onee-chan no Yuuwaku released. But before going into it, let me make some roundup in regard of the updates. For the roundup we have Houkago Cinderella was at 40.52% translated, Chaos Head Noah was at 29.31% for both of TLC and editing progress, Ciel's route Day 13 of Tsukihime Remake was at 44% translated, Eustia was at 95.19% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 74.43% in programming, Taimanin Kurenai was at 90% edited, Shigure's route of Snow was at about 70% translated with the VN was overall at 96% translated, 2 out of 37 script files for Tsukikana's common route was translated, and Senmomo was at 45.02% edited with Chapter 3 was at 38.25% edited.
As for Onee-chan no Yuuwaku, I did remember that it has Indonesian translation so this is the second VN that has English translation after the Indonesian translation was released, with the first one that I remember is Guilty Crown VN. The VN itself has a MC who has sister complex towards his older sister who is more or less a perfect student at his school, and luckily the older sister here is also has some brother complex so naturally they'll going to have some forbidden love between two blood related sibling. Or if you want to be blunt this is a nukige with single heroine (The elder sister) so if you want to play some blood related sibling nukige and prefer the elder one instead the younger one like Imopara, then go get the VN and have fun. Lastly we have some Ginharu progress, and this time we have 30 out of 141 script files for Mizuha's route was translated.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - Forgot to mention that we have new exact release date for Doukyuusei remake, and said date will be at 15th later. There's also new Ruitomo translation project as well, and I'll try to talk about more on this at next VNTS Review.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have Cafe Stella release and the color of the uniform did remind me of Blend S (The manga that Sol Press only manage to publish one volume of it if you need reminder along with it had the anime adaptation, and that it has cafe setting as well) I decided to parodied it so we have 'Blend Shinigami' as this week review title with 'Shinigami' is from the full title of Cafe Stella (Cafe Stella to Shinigami no Chou). For this week, well let's just say that it's a nice one with Cafe Stella release along with Daybreak Translation decided continuing Ginharu translation. Other than those two interesting news, of course we still have some updates from fan translation as well, and also Venus Blood Frontier fandisc release if you're interesting with it. Overall once again it's another interesting week thanks to the number of the releases, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
Mangagamer did release UUUltra C back at 24th, and what I can say is that it has kaiju and sentai (ie Power Ranger) parody along with that it was produced by the same company who made the well received Hashihime, so you can get it if you like BL along with have the interest in the VN from same company as Hashihime there. Degica released the 11th chapter of Yumemi Dreamer, and with this only one more chapter to be released in order to have full release of Yumemi Dreamer there. As expected Ninetails released Venus Blood Frontier fandisc on time, so if you want to get more Frontier in regard of sex scenes then go get it and have fun (Personally I prefer Savior to be translated, but I guess it's not the time yet). We also have a nukige that has some NTR element will be released at May 27th later, so you can note the release date if you interested. Just in case you waiting for Slow Damage updates, currently JAST doing the second round of QA of it.
We have Naisho no Jikan translation patch released in which it's the fan fiction of Kodomo no Jikan with the amped up the fanservice from the original work, and by that I mean it has very explicit sex scenes on the heroines that are basically still at 9 to 10 years old. You can get it in case you interested with lolicon contents (Just be responsible by not replicated the action in real life when you playing it), and have fun. For other updates we have Day 8 of Ciel's route in Tsukihime Remake was fully translated along with Day 13 was at 13% translated (How appropriate), Senmomo was at 43.37% edited with Chapter 3 was at 28.71% edited, Nursery Rhyme script insertion was 80% done, Onee-chan no Yuuwaku was almost finished the QA process, and Eustia was at 95.13% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 74.13% in programming.
As for Ginharu, while this is obviously the good news that it resumed even with I'm didn't agree with some of the translator words, he still didn't sure if he'll translate the remaining 69.38% of Yuzuki's route (It's been already at 30.62% translated before Trip quit) seeing that he didn't like little sister character route, so he decided to translate Mizuha's route first in which currently he translate 2 out of 141 script files. I'll keep the progress like this instead of changing it into percentage, because tone work's VNs has different number of lines in each of script files and changing it into percentage won't necessarily reflect the real progress of Mizuha's route translation. The translator says that he'll finish within this year in regard of Mizuha's route, although it's still just estimation so don't expect much of it. Anyway the blog post in regard of it if you want to read more in detail.
Unfortunately we have Clover Days was banned by Steam (I guess it explain on why there's no Alcot VN on Steam), so obviously it mean more setback to Nekonyan to finally have Clover Days released which frankly is quite suck. Here's hoping that they'll find a way to get around it, and this is like HGB in that the VN was also rejected before the release. Anyway let's go with Cafe Stella release, in which the people already guess that it'll be localized seeing that Yuzusoft going all the way to provide the English caption in their 4-koma video of it and obviously no VN companies would provided English caption in their video just for fun. As for the premise, it's about out MC Kousei who met his untimely death and encounter the grim reaper (Translation Note: Shinigami mean grim reaper) which somehow led him to work in the cafe because Kousei is still not exactly safe from his grim fate. Anyway go get Cafe Stella from either Steam, Mangagamer, JAST, Fakku, or Denpasoft, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - We also have a nukige with the premise of have sex with the older sister in law released along with Sekai did announce that they'll release little sister succubus nukige at this year, and what I can say is that those two releases are not my type. Have fun though if you interested with both of those, although obviously you need to wait for the little sister succubus nukige.
For the title, because we have Tokeijikake Daybreak part released by Sekai and that it's the second part of the trilogy like Grisaia no Meikyuu, I parodied the latter so we have 'Tokeijikake no Meikyuu' as this week VNTS Review title. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week I can say it's more active compared to the last week, with three notable updates at that (The aforementioned Tokeijikake Daybreak, Nine Shinshou, and uncensored patch of Aojashin). Other than the releases, we also have quite a number of the updates from fan translation. Overall this week is an interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
I did forget to mention that Mangagamer already has the exact release date for Seventh Lair, and said date is at 31st later (I can only say that hopefully Mangagamer will increase their more interesting license in the future). We also have Yumemi Dreamer 10th chapter was released, and with this only two chapters left before finally we have the whole Yumemi Dreamer released. There's also an announcement in regard of an otome VN translation, and said VN is Jack Jeanne in which the female MC is basically reverse trap character who attend the all-boy school for acting while she need to hide her gender. No info in regard on who'll responsible for the localization process, but seeing that it's Switch VN safe to say that Aksys might be the one who will localize it later although they usually didn't translate the VN into Chinese language while the plan is to translate the VN into Chinese as well, so let's see whether it'll be true or not.
This week we have Aojashin uncensored patch like I say beforehand and you can download it from this site, although said patch is only translate the sex scenes from the first case. Still if anything else at least the sex scenes successfully inserted into Steam version, so you can play Aojashin with several sex scenes translated and hopefully someone willing to translate the rest of the sex scenes in the future. We also have Tsuki's patch of Akagoei was released, so if you've been want to play Tsuki's route in Akagoei then you can try the patch and have fun. For the other updates fan translation updates, we have Harugi was at 59% edited, Onee-chan no Yuuwaku is currently undergoing QA, Taimanin Kurenai was at 80% edited, Houkago Cinderella was at 39.09% translated, 94.2% original lines of Summer Pockets were reworked, five routes of Snow were fully translated, Day 12 of Ciel route in Tsukihime Remake was fully translated, and Senmomo was at 41.86% edited with Chapter 3 was at 19.98% edited.
We also have some updates from Sekai, although the updates is in regard of Seiiki VN with Imouto no Seiiki was fully translated and currently in editing, and they started the translation for Gakkou no Seiiki in which it's at 10% translated. For the releases, the first one is Nine Shinshou and for the premise it's more or less Nine series fandisc in which it resolved the remaining plot thread along with providing the after story for each of the heroines, so you can get it if you want to play more Nine. The second release is Tokeijikake Daybreak in which it need 51 months to finally have it released after the prequel was released, although to be fair it's because the engine of the VN is the one that was quite hard to worked on. In any case at least we finally have the second part of the trilogy being released here even though Sekai was not as fast as when they released Nine series, and here's hoping that Sekai won't take too long to finally released Morning Mist (The last part of the trilogy).
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and I'm sorry for being late here. See you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll explain it at PS later. As for this week, while granted that we finally see Frontwing announce Hatsumira in English after several time tease us with the CG from said VN in their VN, overall this week is quite plain compared to the last week to me. That said, we also have Spike Chunsoft finally announced the exact release date for the remaining Science Adventure series, and for the reminder it's Chaos Head Noah which as we know was currently worked on by Committee of Zero so perhaps this could be the big news to anyone else who've been holding back to play Chaos Head. Other than the the announcements of those two VNs in which it's pretty much the biggest news at this week, we also have several updates here. Anyway let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
I did forget to mention that we have a release, although said release is from Cherry Kiss though in which obviously said release is a short nukige. Still if you're in the mood to play some nukige that has pirate theme (Well the name of said nukige is Pirate Booty and the Bukkake Buccaneer), go get the VN and have fun. As for the release date of Chaos Head Noah, it'll be at October 7th later (The source of the news) and will be released alongside Chaos Child which to say quite appropriate seeing that Noah here is the sequel of Chaos Child. While granted we already have Chaos Head translated, Noah here did add the routes so that it's more or less the polished version of Chaos Head. That said though, Spike Chunsoft only released Switch version so obviously anyone else who didn't have the console and only PC won't be able to play it, and hopefully there'll be PC version of this later on.
From fan translation we have 93.7% original lines of Summer Pockets were reworked, Harugi was at 58% edited, 86 out of 138 script files of Nagomibako was edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at three quarter edited, and Senmomo was at 39.19% edited with side stories was at 33.75% edited and Chapter 3 was at 4.53% edited. There's also some progress from a new group that has the goal to translate Tsukikana, and currently they managed to translate 1 out of 37 script files of common route (The Excel to track the progress). I don't know whether they'll be able to finish the project or not, so I guess I'll just say good luck to them. Lastly we also have an update from Walkure Romanze, in which the translator released the patch that translate Celia's route (The download link for the patch). While obviously it's still partial, at least you can use the patch to play Walkure Romanze and only interested with Celia there, so have fun if you chose to play it.
Last but not the least we finally have Frontwing announced that they'll release Hatsumira, and for the info they'll release it at this Spring along with them already setting the store page at Steam. Obviously it should be the good news seeing that Frontwing already have the plan to release it since way back at five years ago, and they keep teasing us with the image from Hatsumira at their tweet. While there's some doubt in regard of additional 18+ contents, seeing that Frontwing put it in Adult Only section (ie you need to log in to view the Store page) it should be more than possible that Frontwing will also release 18+ version as well. Anyway Hatsumira itself is more or less another isekai VN with Grisaia's writer, and seeing that isekai VN is still quite rare (Outside short length nukige) obviously I look forward to the release later on.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - As for this week review since we have some progress in Summer Pockets Reflection Blue along with a small step in Tsukikana translation project, I decided to parodied one of Summer Pockets OST (Sea, You & Me) by changing 'Me' into 'Moon' (Translation note: Tsuki mean moon) so we have 'Sea, You & Moon' as this week title.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Evenicle 2 release in which it has hospital as the motif I decided to parodied Trauma Center: New Blood by changing 'Blood' into 'Chronicle' because Evenicle itself is the acronym for 'Eve's Chronicle' for the reminder. As for this week itself, what I can say is that it was an active week with several companies announced the exact release date for their VNs (Including Nekonyan in which they announced Cafe Stella exact release date as expected) and of course there's many releases with the biggest one to me here is Evenicle 2. Overall I can say that this week is quite an above average one and interesting to a degree, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
The Snow translation team decided to drop Miagete restoration project, which while it's too bad I understand that it can be tedious considering that it's quite hard to figured out on how to inserting the text. Speaking about restoration project, we have new team for Aojashin sex scenes restoration and the plan is that they'll release the patch to restore the sex scene for Chapter 1 at March later along with revert the heroine setting back as high school student. For fan translation other updates, we have Harugi was at 54% edited, Senmomo was at 36.04% edited with side stories was past a quarter (25.48%) edited, 91.1% original line of Summer Pockets was reworked, Tsukihime Remake Arcueid Day 13 was halfway translated, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 95% translated. We also have some updates from Daybreak translation in which we have Tsuki's route undergoing final QA, and there's also a new project underway with one of the route was already at around 30% translated.
Aksys released Variable Barricade in which it's only available for Switch, and if you ask me the reason to get the VN if you're not a fan of otome VN then at least you can have the MC with fragile female ego (ie tsundere) that was voiced by Hatsune Miku's VA (Fujita Saki). Otherwise you may get it if you like otome VN from the very start and has been interested with this. We also have Tokyo Onmyouji release, in which at least it's available for PC so you can play this if you been interested with BL story and yet didn't have console. As expected we also have Degica released another chapter for Yumemi Dreamer, and this week we have the 7th chapter was released so with this we only have five chapters left to finally have a full VN available in English. Frontwing also released Phantom Trigger Volume 8 back at 25th (At least they didn't find the bugs in there), so you can play it if you've been waiting for all chapters of Phantom Trigger to be released and have fun.
Cherry Kiss did announce yet another nukige with the localized name Pirate Booty and the Bukkake Buccaneer and they'll release it on March 11th later. Speaking of nukige, we have JAST released Overly Qualified Ms. Mary in which it's about Ms. Mary who is really overly qualified looking from a certain point of view. We also have Mangagamer released Erovoice back at 24th, so go get the VN if you interested with it and have fun. As for Mangagamer's next release, it's Uuultra C in that they'll release it at March 24th later so you may note the date if you've been interested with BL VN from the same developer as Hashihime.
Sekai Project decided to cancel several project, in which one of those is Tenshin Ranman. Which mean that Sekai obviously won't release it in the future, although of course it would raise some question in regard on who will localize Tenshin Ranman in the future. The question is easily answered though, with Nekonyan is the most probable one when it come to localize Tenshin Ranman, and if they want to localize it obviously they'll localize the most recent release with the revamped resolution just like Dracu Riot. Speaking of Yuzusoft and Nekonyan, the latter did announce that they'll release Cafe Stella at March 25th later so you may note the date if you've been looking forward to it.
Congratulation to Alicesoft in regard of Evenicle 2 release, in which at first it was thought to be impossible seeing that Steam banned this even with Alicesoft already remove one of the sex scene which mean Alicesoft did remove it for nothing. For the premise, we have Alex who is quite a pervert who somehow gain an ability to cure the disease through his sperm that must be cum into the patient (That obviously must be cute and beautiful female), and I definitely didn't make this up. Our Alex here will be involved in fighting against an organization that has the goal to spread the disease to cause the pandemic, and he will get some help from his wives just like first Evenicle (There's still polygamy in here as well). As for the gameplay, it's still the same with first Evenicle with few differences. I admit that at first I think that the sequel is a bit unnecessary seeing that the first Evenicle is complete enough, but now I think that it's a nice addition here. Go get Evenicle 2 if you interested and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title since we have Phantom Trigger Volume 8 will be released at 25th later I combined Phantom Trigger with the last part of Grisaia (So-called) trilogy so that we have 'Phantom Trigger no Rakuen', and since this is the second time I use the title (The first VNTS Review that use the same title) obviously I add 'Vol. 2' here. Anyway as for this week what I can say is that at least we have a number of releases compared to the last week, although obviously none was as big as Aojashin. That said at least we have several updates, such as Doukyuusei exact release date announcement to make up for rather lacking releases, so overall I can say that it's yet another average week here. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week here.
Cherry Kiss did release their NTR elf nukige, and I can only say have fun if you interested with it. We also have GL VN Secret Kiss is Sweet and Tender was released back at 17th, although unfortunately somehow there's a problem to release it on Steam (Probably on the review process) so the VN here would be console VN here. Go get the VN if you want a GL VN and have Switch, and have fun. In case you've been waiting for Koinegau otome VN, apparently there's some more work to do on it so Aksys decided to delay the release until 2023 later on. We also have artlink suddenly released SugarKiss back at 18th, so with the release we have all of Hachimitsu Soft VNs available in English (Despite the translation problem) and you can get the VN in case you want a single heroine VN. As expected, we have Degica released Chapter 6 of Yumemi Dreamer so with this we already have half of the VN is available in English because Kogado did release Yumemi Dreamer in 12 chapters.
Forgot to mention that we also have the update from Sekai, and in this week we have their secret project was at 90% in QA, Harvest Festa was at three quarter translated, and Amairo Chocolata 2 was fully edited with them currently wait for the build. Lastly we have Sekai released the trial version for Neko-mimi Sweet Housemate Volume 1, and it should be obvious that there'll be more of it in the future. The premise is more or less like usual episodic moege with the MC encounter a half angel half catgirl who one way or another live with the MC, and there'll be more of the girls that will live with the MC. I would say that this VN is quite notable, and obviously not because of the premise but rather because of the staffs with both of the artist and the writer are worked on Amayui Labyrinth Meister, in which it's explain on why the blue haired girl here is looks like Kuna from that VN. As for the release time, we'll have it released at this year later on.
For fan translation updates, we have Taimanin Kurenai was at 90% translated, Tsukihime Remake Arcueid Day 12 was fully translated with Day 13 was at 13% translated, Onee-chan no Yuuwaku was fully translated and TLC-ed, Harugi was at 52% edited, and lastly we have Tsuki's route of Akagoei was fully edited with the route was undergoing the final QA. As for Senmomo's update, this week we have it was at 34.73% edited with Chapter 2 was fully edited and side stories was at 20.91% edited. We also have Hoshiori Perfect Edition translation patch released (The thread in regard of it), in that it's translate the original Hoshiori along with the additional contents that were back ported from console version. I can't exactly say if it'll worth the trouble seeing that it has some bug in the naming the MC, but at least it should be nice to play if one want more Hoshiori (Or has been waiting until Perfect Edition fully translated).
As for the exact release date of Doukyuusei Remake that I mentioned, it'll be at March 11th later. Apparently there's some confusion in regard of the contents that were censored compared to 1992 version, although after I see a post from 4chan I would say that saying censorship is more or less quite overblown seeing that it's not as bad as Aojashin censorship seeing that it still has some sex scenes on it (And that the remake was based on 1999 version of it). That say if you agree with the statement that the remake is censored, well you can just move on from Doukyuusei remake here. Last but not the least we have several updates from Nekonyan, in which we have Mirai Radio programming was almost completed, Kirikoi FD Golden Time was at 90% translated along with 17% edited, Aoi Tori was at 99.69% translated (So close), and Cafe Stella was at 45% in QA along with it was approved by Valve so it's pretty obvious that it's Nekonyan's next release.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll explain it at PS later. Anyway as for this week one of the big news is in regard of Laplacian announcements of Aojashin English release in which turned out that the writer is quite infamous in Japanese (Well the character bio in each of Laplacian's website should be in line with the writer personality), and let's just say that it caused a lot of drama in Reddit. Another one is that we finally have Nekonyan confirmed that yes they'll release Hello Lady at 21st later, and obviously this week we have two releases (Mashimaro and Dead Aegis) in which both of those are interesting on their own. Overall despite some headache inducing drama in regard of Aojashin I can say that this week is interesting, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
As for Aojashin itself, the writer is still decided to have it censored along with write some bold responses. Obviously the response didn't help the situation at all, especially when there's two censor known with one of those is in regard of removing the school element. While to be fair they need to deal with Steam which it can be random when it come to ban, the school removal here would make Aojashin new version lose the reference of first Laplacian VN (Aojashin here is supposed to make the reference across three previous Laplacian VNs). Surprisingly almost nobody asked on why the VN is not all age in the first place if the English version is more in line with author's vision, but I guess it's easy to answer by comparing it with minori. Anyway, the English version has some new features with the most important one is the music player which is missing in the original version, although as for whether the other new features can justify the loss of the sex scenes like Dies Irae we'll see.
After Mashimaro release, we have Shiravune announced femdom nukige with all of the heroines are nurses with the name Nope Nope Nurses. I can only say that you may get if if you have some dominant nurses fetish, and if you want to get it then you can wait until 14th later (Or you can wait until 21st because Shiravune here somehow manage to sell this on Steam). Speaking of nukige, we also have Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige with the title 'Hentai Houseparty: Gyaru Gangbang', in which the MC himself is live with three gyaru heroines and then the MC will have a lot of sex with all three. In case you somehow interested with the nukige, note that it'll be released at 18th later. Love Lab here finally has a new project, although the name of the project is still not revealed yet so it's called Secret Project for now (Duh). As for the current progress of said Secret Project, we have it at 6.7% translated (Meru's tweet for the source).
From fan translation we have Senmomo was at 24.54% edited with Chapter 2 was at 22.28% edited, Loverable was at 99.66% edited, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 70% edited along with halfway in proofreading. There's also some update in regard of Tsukihime Remake Part 1, and currently the team managed to translated the 8th day. Although actually there's more than that though, because there's both route (Arcueid and Ciel) and the progress is only for Arcueid's 8th day while currently Ciel 8th day is still untranslated, so perhaps the appropriate calling here would be 'Arcueid day 6 through 8 translated'. Oh yes it also has some other progress, with day 9 and 11 Arcueid show some progress (38% and 44% respectively) along with some of Ciel's route (Fully translated for day 1, three quarter translated for day 2, and 5% translated for day 3).
As expected JAST did release Dead Aegis. As for Dead Aegis itself, first of all it's character was designed by Ueda Metawo who as we know drew some disturbing contents in Sadistic Blood so much that JAST offer a patch to give the mosaic to it. For Dead Aegis itself, it's more or less magical girl nukige that was been hyped up which make sense seeing that it's rare to see a lengthy magical girl VN (Beside Sakuramoyu). Dead Aegis here also has some interesting plot and the setting building from what I hear, namely that the higher up just using magical girl as the weapon in the space war and the only way to power them up was by having the magical girl being raped by the alien. So yeah it's obviously not a typical light magical girl series like Precure (Duh), and of course it has some disturbing sex scenes. Go get Dead Aegis if you want some magical girl nukige to play with some nice plot along with didn't mind the disturbing contents, and have fun.
Last but not the least, we have Mashimaro released by Shiravune. As for Mahimaro, the most obvious things is that the setting is far more lighthearted compared to Dead End Aegis in that the MC did try to help a patisserie that has been left out by the customers. Obviously though the task is not easy seeing that it has some competitor with bigger capital and more popular, but our MC will obviously do everything to make sure it's successful as the repayment for the owner (Kanon, also one of the heroine) who help him when the MC was starved thanks to being kicked out from his house. Go get Mashimaro from Johren if you interested with charage that has patisserie setting, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - For the title since we have Mashimaro released I decided to parodied one of vocal song from KKPC in which case it's Ichika's 1st image song, Add the Berry to My Big Love, by changing 'Love' with 'Marshmallow' (I know that 'Berry' here is a pun for 'Very'). For the info, the opening song of Mashimaro here was sang by Tsukiyono Usagi (Marmallade here is not very subtle with Sailor Moon parody) who as we know is the idol in the second Primal x Hearts, and both of Usagi and Ichika here has rabbit as their animal motif (Translation Note: Usagi mean rabbit).
