Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week since we have Sakura Forest Girl 2 released along with JAST announced the exact release date of their short nukige that featured slime girl (Mamono Musume Slime and Scylla) I just change 'Forest Girl' into 'Slime Girl' so we have 'Sakura Slime Girl' for the title. As for this week, well plain would be the right word to say it considering that there's no much updates for this week. That said it didn't mean that there's no topic to talk though because at least there's some updates from Sekai, and so let's see what I can write in regard of that at this week.
To tell the truth, I did forget that JAST did license Lamento so back when they decided to cancel the license at June I just think that they mean that they won't license it. As for the reason, JAST did say that the sales for their other VNs didn't justify the expense of localized Lamento (They not specified whether it's their BL VNs or all of their VNs though), and perhaps it can also be said that currently they didn't have enough money to fund the translation process. Well to me the license is redundant anyway seeing that there's fan translation patch for Lamento since back at 2015, but JAST promised that they may release this in the future so at least there's some hope for anyone else who look forward for JAST version of Lamento release. Speaking of release, after two years waiting finally we have them release Mamono Musume Slime and Scylla download version at 30th later. With this perhaps now there's a chance that we may see Yamizome release at this year.
Sekai did release 2236 AD prequel on Steam with the premise that we'll see the story about the MC AI secretary, and I didn't have much to say other than go get the VN if you want to see more of 2236 AD and have fun. As for Sekai's updates, this week we have Amairo Chocolata 2 was at 40% translated, ReLord 3 was at 20% edited, Yumeiro was at 8% translated, and Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was at three quarter edited. Frontwing give yet another useless update in regard of Sharin in that they try to have their server problem that caused the release to delayed resolved by the end of this month, and for that I can only say good luck to them now that they only have two days left.
Once again Shiravune did release yet another VN, and this time we have short title with the localized name Chihiro Himukai Always Walks Away (Or if you want direct translation of the Japanese title Chihiro Himukai Can't Continuing Her Work). The premise of the VN itself is we have the MC met with his old female friend Chihiro Himukai and Chihiro decided to be the MC's friend with benefit in that Chihiro and MC only become sex friends instead of lover. While it looks like nukige at first, turned out that it has more than mere nukige seeing that we have Hayase Yuu as the writer which mean that we'll see the romance development between the MC and Chihiro with some of comedy if we remember his previous works (Fureraba and Makeover). Well at least this time Shiravune also had this on Steam so that the customer didn't need to deal with bothersome Denuvo at Johren, so get this from either of Johren or Steam if you interested with this and have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS and sorry if it's too short here. See you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for this week title, since we have JAST finally announced Muramasa exact release date along with Distant Memorajo release in which the latter is the sequel of Amrilato (It's GL VN with learning Esperanto as the premise for the reminder), I decided to use the Esperanto direct translation of Muramasa English title (Full Metal Daemon Muramasa) so we have 'Plena Metala Demono Muramasa' as this week VNTS Review title and obviously this is not Esperanto translated Muramasa review in case you're wonder about it lol. For this week, well JAST obviously has the biggest news with them announced the exact release date for Muramasa. Other than Muramasa release date, we also have Mangagamer released their aforementioned Memorajo and Sekai did have some updates. Overall I can say that this week is quite interesting, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS.
Because of technical problem that conveniently happened with the server that handle the distribution of the download file, Frontwing delayed Sharin yet again in order to fix the problem. Frontwing did give the estimation that the problem may be fixed and that they'll finally be able to release it at the middle of this week (Either at tomorrow Wednesday or Thursday), so let's see if they'll manage to do it later. Cherry Kiss did released another nukige back at 16th, and I have no much to say other than have fun play the nukige if you've been interested with it. Speaking of nukige, Fakku apparently already doing some testing for Abaddon and thus they announced the estimation release month in which it'll be at October later. Last but not the least, we have the sequel for Somnium (nirvanA Initiative) in which it'll have new female MC Mizuki who is the previous MC Date stepdaughter involved in murder case investigation. In any case, it'll be available for console (PS4, XBOX One, and Switch) and PC at Spring 2022 (According to the Steam store page) later so you may note the release timeline if you're interested with it.
Sekai did release Nekopara Catboy Paradise, and the heroes design did remind some people of Dies Irae which make sense because Dies Irae artist did design the character in Nekopara Catboy Paradise. Go get the VN if you want to play Nekopara with handsome catboy, and have fun. Other than Nekopara Catboy Paradise, we have Karakara 3 was fully edited, Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was fully translated and currently it's in editing, and lastly we have Sekai did announce the exact release date for 2236 AD prequel at 23rd later. For fan translation updates at this week, we have Watamasu was at 30% in QA and Eustia was at 92.06% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 57.78% TLC-ed.
JAST did bring the surprising big news in regard of Muramasa exact release date, and as we know we'll going to have it released at August 24th later. As for a bit of history, back at 2012 there's a rumor that JAST got the license of this with some progress. Of course after some times people forgotten Muramasa's license because back then JAST was quite infamous with the licenses that took years to be released, so naturally people would be skeptical if JAST will be released Muramasa at all. Turned out that JAST keep working on Muramasa here, and now we have JAST give the surprise that they'll release it in the near time. Muramasa itself is said to be Nitroplus's Magnum Opus so obviously it's a very well received VN (Or as people says kamige), and one thing that should be noted that there's no happy ending in regard of this along with the VN itself has a lot of death count so hopefully you'll prepare for that if you play Muramasa later. By the way even with JAST finally manage to release a very big title, I'm still waiting for them to finally release Yamizome Revenger here.
Lastly we have Mangagamer released Distant Memorajo, and curiously Mangagamer didn't announce their next release although one can say that right now Mangagamer may preparing something to announce at Otakon virtual later. Back to Memorajo, for the reminder in the prequel (Amrilato) we have our MC Rin trapped in the world with Esperanto as the main language, and Rin was taught Esperanto language by Ruka. As for Memorajo here, we'll going to see Ruka's past along with more romance between Rin and Ruka after they manage to become GL couple. Although not all of content are happy romance though, because the couple will face some more problem that related to the language barrier so it's up to both of Rin and Ruka to overcome it. Anyway get Memorajo if you've been want to play it ever since Amrilato released, and have fun.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll tell it at PS later. As for this week, well Sekai did have AX Lite announcements and Nekonyan have their usual monthly updates along with two VNs releases, so we van see that this week is quite an active one even though Sekai's announcements are not as big as I expected. Oh well, and let's see what I can write for this week.
Cherry Kiss Games decided to release another nukige at 16th later, and the nukige localized name is Horny Housewives Booty Call Blackmail. Speaking of blackmail, we have GL VN with the premise that love was started from blackmail Letters from a Rainy Days was released at Steam. From what I see, apparently the story not put much focus on the mystery who's the blackmailer but instead the romance that happen as the result of the blackmail. While to be fair the romance should be the main focus, it would be still nice to see the answer from the mystery if possible. In any case, at least my guess is proven right in that this is the first part of serial VN judging from on how short the playtime of this VN and a number of supporting characters that can form two more couples along with the sentence 'Episode Shiori Minato x Mikoto Kurahashi', so let's see when the developer can release the second part later. In any case you want to play this GL VN, go get it and have fun.
For Nekonyan's updates, we finally have Hello Lady engine work was wrapping up which could be interpreted as finally the developer took the action to work on the engine so let's hope that we have see more QA progress from Hello Lady in the near future. Other than that, we have Aoi Tori was at halfway translated, Cafe Stella was at 65% translated and edited, Makeover FD was at 30% translated, Mirai Radio was at 78% edited, Karichaimashita was fully edited along with a quarter in QA, and 1st secret project was at 90% translated along with a quarter edited.
From fan translation, we have Chaos Head Noah was at 93.57% translated (Common route was at 95.39% translated) along with 16.30% TLC-ed and 9.57% edited, Aya's route in Akatsuki no Goei was fully translated and now the translator put his focus on translating Moe's route, 85.8% original lines of Summer Pocket being reworked, and Snow common route was at 91% translated. Speaking of Snow, turned out that the group who translate it also has two new projects. The first project is Konosora Snow Projects in which it's another Konosora FD with the main heroine is Kotori herself (Who apparently is quite popular), and the second is restoration of Miagete sex scenes. I definitely interested with the latter because so far we have two failed Miagete restoration project, although whether they can do it later or not we still need to wait and see in regard of it (By the way I agree with the translator that Pulltop's engine is quite bothersome to work with).
As for Sekai new VNs announcements, three of those are predictable seeing that they already license the prequel of those (Those three VNs are ReLord 3, Amairo Chocolata 2, and Slobbish Dragon Princess 2). Sekai also did announce AD 2236 Prequel, which to say good for 2236 fans. Lastly while I did say that Sekai's announcements are quite underwhelming, actually their last announcement Qualia itself is quite interesting to a degree with the premise on how the MC who is a lonely scientist slowly growing a special feeling towards his maid robot. We also have the updates from Sekai as well, and as for the updates we have Qualia was fully translated and edited, Karakara 3 was at 15% edited, Amairo Chocolata 2 was at 29% translated, 2236 Prequel was fully translated and edited, ReLord 3 was fully translated, and Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was at 96% translated. Lastly we have Sekai announced Nekopara Catboy Paradise release date, and it'll be at 15th.
Last but not the least, we have JAST released Onigokko in which it tell us the story about the MC who work as Phantom Thief who's been searching for his impostor. Also like any charage story can tell us, the MC will have romance with the heroines which in this case there'll be four heroines who actually the descendant of the four characters from Japanese folktale (Momotaro, Kintarou, Issun Boshi, and Otohime). Go get Onigokko if you've been interested with this for a while, and have fun. Oh yes while Sekai did bring some new announcements at AX Lite, curiously JAST didn't join it so we didn't have them announced Flowers Hiver at this year (They'll probably announce it when it's about to be released later).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - For the title since we have Sekai did announce both of Qualia and Amairo Chocolate 2 as their new projects I decided to parodied Stella Glow opening song, Hikari no Metamorphosis, by changing 'Hikari' into 'Chocolata' so we have 'Chocolata no Metamorphosis as this week VNTS Review. The reason I decided to chose Stella Glow opening song is because in Stella Glow it happen that there's a gem that can transform human into witch called qualia.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll tell it at PS later. As for this week, we didn't have much updates although in exchange we have new VNs announcement along with some releases so overall I can say that this week is still interesting to a degree thanks to the announcements even though it's not as active as last week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review.
Sekai did released Slobbish Dragon Princess FD yesterday, and what I can say is that at least the graphic is quite good I suppose. Anyway go play the FD if you like the main game and want to see more of it, and have fun. We also have Shiravune did suddenly released Suzukuri Karin-chan at Johren, although unfortunately it's only at Johren so it mean that you need to deal with the bothersome DRM (Denuvo) but at least this time it has activation code for anyone who purchase it from there so it should be easier to activated. Other thing that I know in regard of this is that it's the collaborative project between Softhouse Chara and Nexton with the former provided the gameplay engine and the latter provided Koihime Musou characters, or in easier word the premise is like Bunny Black only that we have Koihime Musou MC instead of Darx. Go get the VN if you want more of Softhouse Chara gameplay VN, and have fun. Oh yes it also has fan translation, although seeing that the translator asking for money for fan translation which to say is quite rude I'll say good for Shiravune that they took over Suzukuri Karin-chan even with DRM there.
From fan translation we have Eustia was at 91.52% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 54.94% TLC-ed, Loverable has surprise update with the current progress was at 96.13% edited, and we have Rewrite Cradle Tale translation patch released (It's Rewrite Terra route epilogue, so you can get it if you want to see a bit more of Rewrite (It's quite short) there). From Alka they announced two new projects with one of those is Clearworld in that it's quite an underrated VN that was written by one of Science Adventure writer who also write (Infamous) DaSH, and that it's science fiction VN with the setting is at the city in the sea. The second new project is bigger one in that it's Aonatsu Line which it's GIGA's attempt to go back to normal moege after they've been writing Baldr series, and the premise is we have a group of friend who want to do some memorable activities for summer. Good that Alka did picked up Aonatsu Line there, because I can see that GIGA will forcefully censored the official localized version like Pulltop. Anyway good luck on Alka in regard of their new project, especially Aonatsu there (I'll note the progress when they have it later).
JAST did announce that they'll release Onigokko at 29th later, and as we know it's Alcot VN with the setting that the heroines are the descendant of Japanese folktale hero with the MC is the phantom thief who's about to search for his impostor. It also prove that Alcot is quite flexible seeing that they have partnership with Nekonyan in regard of Clover Days localization, but then again it's more like Alcot back to JAST seeing that both of them did work together for My GF is President aka Osadai. In any case, this mean that Onigokko here will be the third translated Alcot VNs after Osadai and Shinikiss. Also since I did hear the good reception in regard of Onikiss, I'll look forward to the release later.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
PS - Since we have Onigokko release date announcement by JAST and that it featured the phantom thief as the MC, I parodied the old magical girl manga Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne in that the MC (Maron) was act as the phantom thief in order to fight the demon, and I changed Jeanne into Ura from the Onigokko MC alias (Kaitou Ura) so we have 'Kamikaze Kaitou Ura' as this week VNTS Review title. Note that while usually we think that kamikaze mean suicide thanks to Japanese Special Attack Units at World War 2, actually in Japan it mean 'divine wind' and Jeanne full Japanese title here is literally translated as 'Divine Wind Phantom Thief Jeanne'. Also yes it has Joan of Arc element as well in that Maron is the reincarnation of Joan of Arc.
Since we have both of Jeanne at the Clock Tower released alongside Kirikoi, I decided to combined both element from both work for this week VNTS Review title. For the info, Jeanne here is based on the story of Joan of Arc (Loosely at that) and that one of her alias is 'The Maid of Orleans', so obviously I changed 'Orleans' into 'Sortilège' in which the latter is the fictional country in Kirikoi. As for this week, well I can say that it's quite exciting seeing that we have a number of the releases with the most interesting one is Kirikoi along with several new VNs announcements. Of course we have some updates as well, and this week we have Sekai announced their updates as well. Overall I can say that this is an active week, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
Mangagamer did release Jeanne back at 10th, and as we know it's Liar-soft VN which if we remember will dealing with the characters from alternative history in which we have our MC who is a soldier of World War 2 somehow travelled into somewhere and he manage to encounter the female who call her self Jeanne who as we know is the French name of Joan. Together both of them will see on how Joan of Arc did shape the history of France and Europe as the whole, or at least according to what Mangagamer's Translator Corner of Jeanne said. It also available for Linux and Macintosh as well seeing that Mangagamer did port this to Ren'py engine, so good for Linux or Macintosh users. Anyway go get Jeanne if you want to play Liar-soft, and have fun. Also since Mangagamer did release one of their VN, it mean that they'll announce their next release and in this case they'll release Memorajo at July 15th later so you may note the date if you want to read the sequel of Amrilato.
We have Moonchime Localization announced their new two VNs that will be released at this year, and those two VNs are Tokyo Onmyouji (Has sex scenes for the reminder) and My Dear Frankenstein in which both of the VNs are BL VNs because Moonchime Localization is a localization company that was focused on BL VNs translation. Not my taste to say it lightly, but at least you can read it if you interested with those two and perhaps you may find the story interesting (Some BL VNs can have interesting story after all (ie Dramatical Murder and Hashihime)). We also have the Steam store for Taisho Alice Epilogue was opened, and there's already the release date for it in which it'll be at 24th later so you may note the date if you want to read the last part of Taisho Alice there. Lastly, today we have otome VN release with the name Bakumatsu Renka Shinsengumi with the setting is in historical Japan, so go get that if you interested and have fun.
Sekai did reveal their third Secret Project, and turned out it's Slobbish Dragon Princess FD that will be released at 22nd later. Considering that it's quite fast of them to localize the FD, I assume that Sekai already has the plan to localize the unreleased sequel as well so let's wait and see if my assumption here is true later. Other than that, we have KARAKARA 3 was fully translated and Kimagure was 20% in QA. From fan translation, we have Steps to Love full translation patch release, and no much to say other than go get that if you're been wanting to play the nukige that has a lot of footjob (The title should tell enough that it's the main fetish lol). For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Taimanin Kurenai was at 35% translated, Gore Screaming Show was at 21.79% translated, Harugi was at 17% edited, and Eustia was at 91.48% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 51.48% TLC-ed.
JAST did release Meteor Pendulum heart back at 11th, and from what I see it's more or less just a nukige with space police setting which to say may be nice to play if you're in the mood of short nukige. While it has transformation scene akin of magical girl, I would say that it's a stretch to call Pendulum Heart as magical girl VN. Anyway go get Pendulum Heart if you interested with it and have fun. By the way I'm still waiting for Yamizome Revenger in that JAST did say that they'll release it at this year, so let's see if they can fulfill what they say later. I also like to say something in regard of JAST recent policy in which they'd release the download version first following with physical version release later, and I must say that it's good policy of them because it mean that they can keep the release pace with both of Sekai and Mangagamer which as we can see now JAST manage to release six VNs in half a year (Perhaps their slow release pace in the past was caused by the preparation for physical version). Here's hoping JAST can keep this release pace in the future.
Nekonyan did release Kirikoi in which it's the first Saga Planet VN available in English, and what you should expect is that it has blonde girl as the main heroines along with red-haired side heroine with the setting was in the academy that turned out to have the same name as the school in GPPC. Also one should note that it has some of threesome sex scenes in which turned out that it cause some people to have some complicated if not absurd reaction, and that some of the ending is quite unexpected for this seemingly lighthearted charage. So go get Kirikoi from one of the available stores (ie Steam, Mangagamer, Fakku, or Denpasoft) and have fun. One more thing to note that Nekonyan did port the engine, and the result is that it has some bugs (You can still play Kirikoi though). I'm still think that Nekonyan is right though for porting the engine, especially if we look at on how long Akatsuki Works tweaking the engine of Hello Lady and not to mention Sekai in that they need to wait for the engine of their VNs, and if anything else at least the porting result is better compared to the one in Lamunation.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - I know that both of JAST and Alka did announce new projects which to say are quite interesting, but I'll save the talk on those projects for next VNTS Review.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I combined 'Clock Tower' from Jeanne at the Clock Tower that will be released later along with this week nukige release (Big Dick at the Beach), so we have 'Clock Tower at the Beach' as this week VNTS Review title (By the way I also find out that there's a real clock tower in the beach in which it's place of interest at Monteral). As for this week, well if not for Nekonyan's updates at yesterday it would be a dry week seeing that we only have one nukige release from Cherry Kiss. That said, at least there's fault side below so actually it wouldn't quite bad even if Nekonyan didn't give the update yesterday seeing that side below is the long awaited new part of fault VN that has hiatus for six years. Overall combined with Nekonyan's updates this week is yet another average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review.
Cherry Kiss did release their nukige with the daring title that I mentioned above, and no much to say other than go play that if you're interested with it and have fun. Speaking of nukige, JAST did announce that they'll release their newest release with the title Meteor Pendulum Heart (Real title Ryuusei Pendulum Heart) at 11th later. From what I see apparently it has space police heroine along with the aforementioned space police can change the costume through transformation scene so perhaps it can be said like magical girl, although saying that it's magical girl would be a stretch. I know that I should praise JAST to finally get six releases in half a year regardless on how big the releases in question are, but I still want to see them to finally released Yamizome Revenger here. Other than that, it seems that JAST has a plan to announce something interesting later so let's see if the announcements is as interesting as they're implied (One of those interesting announcements could be Flowers Hiver).
Finally we have release announcement for Fault 2 Side Below, and the release will be at September later (Hopefully the developer already taken care of their own problem so we didn't need to wait for years for the sequel). Granted that they're quite late because they did announce that they'll release it at Spring in the past (To be fair it's just estimation), but at least they're still on time for spring release in Australia lol. Oh yes they already opened the Steam store for it, so you can check the store page here. From fan translation, no much to say in regard of that other than we have A-4 was fully TLC-ed (Yes now A-4 here has TLC status), and Chaos Head Noah was 95.04% translated (Common route was at 93.07% translated) along with 13.52% TLC-ed and 7.33% edited.
As for Nekonyan's update yesterday, turned out that they have two new secret projects with both of those are already have some progress (1st project was at 80% translated and 2nd project was at 40% translated). No idea what the projects are, so no choice other than waiting Nekonyan reveal those two secret projects. For the rest of their updates, we have Karichaimashita almost finished the editing work with the current progress was at 98% edited, Melty Moment was at 70% translated, Cafe Stella was at 60% translated and edited, Mirai Radio was at 70% edited, Makeover FD started the translation progress with the current progress was at 5% translated, and Aoi Tori was at 45% translated. Looking from the progress, it seems possible that Nekonyan will also released Karichsimashita along with Clover Day's at this year, so let's wait to see if my guess will become true later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
I'm sorry for my very belated VNTS Review for this week, and as for the title I'll tell it at PS later. For this week, well I can say that this week is quite plain in regard of the releases, although on the other hand though we have interesting new VN announced along with some updates from fan translation. Overall this week is still quite an average one even though it's not too bad, and let's see what I can write in regard of this.
JAST did release Closed Game in which it did mark their 5th release in a year, and I should say that they did a good job for manage to five releases in span of half a year (Regardless on my interest toward the releases, and I'm still waiting for Yamizome Revenger release for the info) which really says a lot considering that in the past it's hard for them to get five releases in a year. Anyway Closed Game here is Empress's VN which mean that it'll have a lot of disturbing sex scenes along with female domination if Starless is goes by, so perhaps you should beware of that before decided to try it although you may like it if you like euphoria seeing that it has similar premise to a degree. Speaking of Empress, I would say that I prefer JAST to get Lewdness seeing that it has female MC which may be more interesting for anyone else who didn't interested with female domination, although I may ask too much for now. Anyway go get Closed Game if you interested with it and have fun.
Shiravune did release a nukige that was Chinese only with English title, which to say that they're really dedicated to become second Sekai and it's obviously quite worrying. No much is lost though seeing that the VN in question is just short nukige, and there's Denuvo matter so we can just skip the release although it's obviously bad if Shiravune keep this method for their bigger release in the future. We also has Visual Arts did announce that they also interested to localize Loopers, so in turn Alka decided to step back from translating Loopers since they already decided that they'll step back whenever KEY decided to officially localized their own VNs. Frontwing also promised that they'll release Sharin in this month (June), although seeing that they have several complication in regard of the promise best to not expect them to fulfill it until they're really release it (It's redundant release anyway).
We have a new GL VN with the name Letters from a Rainy Day in which it's available on Steam and that the developer already decided that they'll release this at 30th later. The premise is someone did blackmail a girl (Mikoto) to date a certain girl (Shiori) or otherwise Mikoto's little sister will be harmed, and so after Mikoto see her little sister was harmed she decided to date Shiori and suspect that Shiori is the one who blackmail Mikoto even though apparently Shiori didn't really know. As for this VN according to Meru this'll be short VN, and seeing that there's 'Episode Shiori Minato x Mikoto Kurahashi' along with several other characters we may have serial GL VNs here. Speaking of serial GL VNs we also have Meru did say that she'd working on Flowers Hiver (ie last part of Flowers), and obviously it mean that JAST did work on Hiver so for now we just need to wait for them to officially announce it later. Anyway seeing that the writer did have experience in writing light mystery VNs (ie Hatsukoi Sankaime, Midori no Umi), I look forward on how the writer elaborate the answer on who's the one that blackmailed Mikoto later.
From fan translation we have 14,267 lines of Pure x Connect were edited along with currently they did proofreading the beta version of common route patch, Taimanin Kurenai was at 30% translated, 85.5% lines of original Summer Pockets were reworked, and Harugi was at 16% edited. There's also the update from Chaos Head Noah as well, although I'll save that for next VNTS Review. We also have that apparently Amagami was fully edited, although it didn't mean that it's ready for the release though because they still need to work on several other things to finaly have the full translation patch released. There's Hitokata translation patch release in that apparently it's a doujin VN with time loop, although I can't find out much so perhaps you may as well find out by yourself and have fun (The translator website for more information and the patch). Last but not least (Or maybe 'and the least' if you're antsy about MTL), Amayui interface patch was fully edited so if you have problem in Amayui initial interface patch then you can get the updated version that was released back at May 29th (The download link here). That's all for fan translation.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and once again sorry for being very late here. See you next week.
PS - There's a 1989 song called 'Letters in the Rain' and I suspect that the publisher may use the title 'Letter from the Rainy Days' as some sort of callback to the song. So in regard of that, I decided to parodied the song by changing 'Rain' into 'Castle' so that we have 'Castle in the Rain' as this week VNTS Review. For the reminder here, the 'Castle' word here is obviously from Amayui full title (Amayui Castle Meister).
Since Mangagamer did released Funbag Fantasy 3if back at 6th, I decided to reuse the title 'Booby Quest' for the third time (The first time was at 2016 and the second time was at 2019) and so we have 'Booby Quest 3' as this week VNTS Review title. For the reminder, it's because I parodied Dragon Quest in which I changed 'Dragon' into 'Booby' and for the reminder Funbag Fantasy here is the parody of Final Fantasy (The Japanese name of Funbag Fantasy is Kyonyuu Fantasy, and kyonyuu here is more or less mean big breast so yeah we have a lot of big breasts in Funbag). Anyway as for this week I finally can write VNTS Review slightly earlier than last week (Yay), and more importantly this week is quite nice if one look forward to both of Sekai and Mangagamer updates along with some new project announcements. Overall I suppose I can say that this week is not too bad, although overall it's still quite average one though. Anyway let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review.
JAST did announce that they'll release Closed Game at tomorrow (May 27th). I should say that they currently did the good job with them manage to released five titles in half a year which compared to their past performance is already an improvement, although too bad that there's still no Yamizome Revenger release though (I'm looking forward to this release more compared to ReLord part 2 if I may say something about Escude VNs). Speaking of Yamizome, I hope that JAST can somehow get Liberator's license as well although I know that the chance of it is quite small. Other than that, we also have Cherry Kiss did announce yet another of their nukige with daring localized title (Big Dick at the Beach) and that they already planned to release it at June 4th later.
As for Sekai's updates, this week we have Kanojo no Seiiki was started the engine work, Karakara 3 was at 60% translated, Kimagure was fully edited and currently starting the QA, Yume to Iro de Dekiteiru (I'll just shorten it as Yumeiro) was starting the translation work, and Amatsutsumi was fully edited along with starting the QA like Kimagure. We also have Sekai have updating their secret projects, and for the current progress the 3rd secret project was apparently almost ready for the release with the current progress was almost finished the QA (At 90% in QA), while for the second project it's been fully translated and edited. In any case, for now I can only say that hopefully none of those secret projects are translated in Chinese language only first. Oh, and out of all those updates the most interesting update to me here would be Amatsutsumi now that it about to enter the final stage of localization (QA).
From Mangagamer, we have Rance X progress was increased by 0.5% since the last update (The current progress was at 34.5% translated and 3.5% edited), Moral Orc was fully translated along with 95% edited, and they'd reveal one of their secret projects that I'll talk about it a bit later. Speaking of secret projects, three of those did get some progress in which the 6th project was at 92% translated along with 82% edited, 10th project was at 92% translated along with 81% edited, and 12th project was at 43% translated along with 38% edited. That's all for Mangagamer's updates (Other than secret project reveal) for this week.
As for the secret project that Mangagamer did reveal, it's Distant Memorajo in that it's the sequel of Amrilato which as we know it's GL VN in that it has Esperanto language lesson as the feature. The premise for Memorajo is we have Ruka and Rin have yet another adventure after Amrilato's event, and this time apparently it's also related with younger Ruka here. No much that I can say in regard of this for now other than Mangagamer already has this SukeraSparo VN was in testing for a while. Speaking of Sukera, turned out that they're quite aggressive with overseas release with their another branch (SukeraSomero) did announce that they'll release Oshirabu FD with English language as well (Also with Korean language), and as for the release date it'll be at July 30th later. No much to say other than I'll look forward to the release of those two GL VNs later, and for the reminder Oshirabu FD will have sex scenes.
This week we have Harugi was at 14% edited, 35 out of 62 scripts of A-4 was edited, 83.3% original lines of Summer Pocket was reworked, and Eustia was at 90.85% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was finally past halfway (51.38%) TLC-ed. I know that we also have Pure x Connect update yesterday, but I'll save it for next week. Last but not the least we have Alka did reveal their new project, and the project in question is Loopers in which it's the newest KEY VN with the premise that apparently involved time loop with the MC have his treasure hunting game gone wrong. The other things that I know in regard of Loopers are Ryukishi07 did write this VN (And thus it's normal if we expect that the casts will suffer a bit), KEY will release this at May 28th later (In Japanese obviously), the art is resemble some Western cartoon instead of usual Japanese anime, Ryukishi did reuse his naming from Umineko for Loopers characters in that he did use Western naming transliterated with kanji, and that Alka already did release the translated trial of this (You can get it here if you want to try it). In any case, I'll look forward to the translation progress of Loopers later.
That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to my belated (Again) VNTS Review (I really should try to writing earlier at next VNTS Review), and as for this week I can say that complicated would be the right word. I didn't mean that this week update is bad though, but rather the reason is because we have complicated situation surrounding Amayui narration patch released in which the translator did admit that it was MTL-ed. It would be easy if the translation is really bad as per usual MTL, but since it's quite readable if not good naturally one would defend it and so the argument did happen a lot. Other than controversial Amayui narration patch release, we have Nekonyan and Mangagamer updates so if one did ignore Amayui's update this week would be still interesting thanks to the updates from the companies. Now let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and I'll tell the meaning of the title at PS later.
Another reason on why Amayui situation is complicated is that because I decided to help the translator to clean up the interface, which to say is quite messy because of the default interface programming from Eushully. So even if VNDB allowed Amayui translation to be added, I still won't say that it's complete because the interface is still in the working and obviously it'll need some time before it's ready. That said since some people did say that the narration patch is readable, I would say that it's okay to read it as long as you already decided to read the narration patch even if you know that the translation is MTL, and yes all of the sex scenes are translated as well. So just in case that you decided to read the available narration patch and ready to accept the consequence, you can get the patch from this link here and have fun.
We finally have Verdelish fully translated Slow Damage, and if I'm right all that left is the editing along with QC progress which to say may take a while before finally we can see JAST released Slow Damage (The plan is that JAST will release Slow Damage several months after the Japanese version of it was released). We also have Shiravune did announce that they'll release Eden's Ritter Gaiden tomorrow, and what I can say is that you better expected dark nukige with big breast (Same developer as Funbag) along with some formulaic magical girl story with one of female can transform into her battle attire (Not that I'm complaining about it). Oh yes it's also will be available in Steam, which mean at least we didn't need to worry in regard of bypassed the Denuvo DRM just like previous two Megasuki VNs. Speaking of big breast VNs, I know that Frontwing did just release their big breast VN today but I'll talk more on it later.
For fan translation, other than controversial Amayui full (Machine) translated narration patch we have Taimanin Kurenai was at 20% translated, Harugi was at 13% edited, Summer Pockets original lines was at 78.8% reworked, and Shin Koihime Musou was at 45% edited. That's all for fan translation updates at this week.
Mangagamer did release Funfag Fantasy 3if, and have fun if you want to play big breast VN. Since Mangagamer did release a VN, obviously they'll announce their next release and in this case they'll release Jeanne at June 10th later. Other than release, this time Mangagamer did bring a number of updates with Moral Orc was at 95% translated along with 69% edited, Christmas Tina was fully translated and edited, both of Uchikano and Trinoline Genesis along with 8th secret project are in testing, 6th secret project was at 89% translated along with 81% edited, and finally we have Rance X update with the current progress was at 34% translated along with 3% edited (IX editing work was also going nicely with the current status was at 62% edited). We also have Mangagamer bring up three more secret projects with the progress 10th was at 84% translated along with 71% edited, 11th was at 38% translated along with a quarter edited, and 12th was at 58% translated along with 56% edited. I just hope that the secret projects would be less passionate (ie less nukige) and more focused in story (ie more story VNs), and that's all for Mangagamer's updates.
As usual Nekonyan did bring some interesting updates once per month, although sadly there's no Hello Lady update yet so for now I can only hope that Akatsuki Works will get better programmer so that they can work on the engine more efficiently. As for the updates, we have Cafe Stella was both at 55% translated and edited, Melty Moment finally have another update with the current status was at 65% translated, Mirai Radio was at 60% edited, Aoi Tori was at 40% translated, and Karichaimashita was fully translated along with 90% edited and 10% in QA. Actually Kirikoi here has some update as well, although since Nekonyan did have good ability to release within their promised estimation release time and that they'll say that they'll release it at May's end at first I figure that I won't list that update here, but since some people would surely like to know the current progress of Kirikoi I figure that I should list it here as well. For the detail, the current progress of Kirikoi was that the editing was almost completed (99% edited) along with 60% in QA. That's all for the updates from Nekonyan.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - For the info, since one of Sugar * Style heroine has same name as KKPC pink Precure (Ichika), obviously I parodied KKPC once again and in this case it's Sweets Castle in that it was used by KKPC near the end of the series. Of course I changed the word 'Amayui' into 'Sweets, so we have 'Sweets Castle Meister' as this week VNTS Review. That said, Amayui itself can also mean sweets seeing that the word 'ama' here mean sweet (I know the kanji 'ama' in the title mean heaven), so you can literally translate Amayui as 'sweets' here.
Sorry for being very late for this week VNTS Review again. As for this week, since we have Sugar * Style released by Nekonyan and that one of the heroine share the same name as pink Cure of Kira Kira Precure (KKPC), Ichika, I'd make a parody of one of KKPC image song and the song in question is 'Cat Meets Sweets' in which the song itself is an image song of the Cure that was voiced by Hatsune Miku VA (Fujita Saki). For more points, one of Sugar Style heroine (Kaname) here is has the same cat like character as the Cure in question so much that the MC imagine Kaname in cat lingerie along with on how Kaname like the cat. As for this week, well I can say that the releases are quite active along with several fan translation updates, so yes I can say that this week is more interesting compared to the past week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
After several weeks with no updates, our Verdelish give some surprising updates in regard of Slow Damage in which it's been at past 90% mark translated with the current progress was at 92% translated. We also have Sol Press started to do the QA for Nukitashi, and I can only say that I hope the QA will be going well along with good for Sol Press in that they didn't need to wait for the engine like back at Irotoridori. Fruitbat did release MAMIYA back at April 30th and what I know is that it's a mystery VN with the setting in the apocalyptic world along with some horror, and that the late Conjueror did work on this. Go get MAMIYA if you've been interested with it and want to find out more because the information on it is pretty scarce (At least I know that it's quite well-received on Steam), and have fun.
Since our Ittaku decided to stop Harugi's translation because the other translator disappear, from now on I'll follow the editing progress in which it's been at 12% edited with the translation progress will be at 77% translated and will be unchanged. Other than Harugi's editing progress, we have Eustia was at 89.18% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 48.58% TLC-ed, 32 out of 62 scripts of Majikoi A-4 was edited, Reflection Blue was fully edited along with the original lines of Summer Pockets was at 78% reworked, and currently Chaos Head Noah was at 90.46% translated (Common route was at 86.67% translated) along with 10.26% TLC-ed and 6.16% edited. That's all for this week fan translation updates.
As for Sugar * Style, since the producer of it was Smee obviously what we should expect here is that we'll have a lot of comedy along with some absurd actions from the MC. Also like the MCs of Smee VNs our MC here want to enjoy some youth by getting the girlfriend, although in here the MC will have hard time at first though because he keep find the heroine in the unfortunate situation and his new living condition here didn't help at all seeing that he stay in the female dormitory. Of course like the other Smee VNs the MC here will gradually managed to get closer with one of the heroines (There's four heroines in Sugar * Style for the info) and from there the couple will enjoy their lovely moments. Go get Sugar * Style from one of many stores (ie JAST, Fakku, Denpasoft, and Steam) if you want to play some light hearted moege comedy VN, and have fun.
That's al for this week VNTS Review, and sorry if it's quite short here. See you next week.
PS - I know that there's some updates from Mangagamer along with a certain important update from fan translation, but I'll save those updates for next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. As for this week, well once again it's quite calm week in that there's no much talk when it come to official translation project, although in exchange there's some updates in regard of fan translation. Other than that there's controversial GL VN release by Hikari Field (They're not working with Nekonyan in regard of this for the reminder) along with there's a new translation project with the goal to translate Bishoujo Mangekyou 3, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review. As for the title, I'll tell the reason at PS later.
As for Bishoujo Mangekyou 3 what I know is that it has post apocalyptic world with robot, in which it's obviously very different on what we know from the first Bishoujo Mangekyou in which it did has vampire. Right now we already has some translation progress on this, and currently it's been at 30% translated. What I can say in regard of Bishoujo Mangekyou 3 is that I hope that the translator can finish what he want to do despite some psychological issue that he may have, so good luck to him. We also have Ittaku decided to released Harugi's patch as soon as the editing of the translated four routes finished, which mean we won't see the other two routes being translated seeing that the translator for those two routes is disappeared. While it's too bad that we can't have fully translated Harugi's patch, I understand if Ittaku didn't want to translated those two routes because one of the untranslated route has a lot of sex scenes which is quite apparent from the writer's CV in that he's more experienced in writing nukige.
Cherry Kiss has surprise new VN announcements, in which the VN in question is localized as Sexorcist Academy and obviously it's nukige with the premise that our MC was somehow come to the school that was designed to train the future demon slayer with the MC here is the very first male student (Sort of like Duel Savior). Well you can get it at May 14th later if this VN was somehow quite interesting to you. As for the controversial GL VN, apparently the reader did expect some all female casts only to find out that there's a male who basically the cause of the female MC's suffering so much that the reader are very angry because the developer was basically lying by making them thinking that there'll be not male character. As for the premise, we have the female MC who is quite traumatic after her experience met up with popular girl at her campus and from there both of them will have sweet romance, except not really because turned out the MC is quite a yandere and thus there's some disturbing contents in the VN. Go get the VN if you interested with it, and have fun.
There's nukige release with the English title 'My Beloved Childhood Friend Sleep with Anyone' which should tell that the release itself is nukige and the childhood friend in question is more or less someone who didn't care about the relationship and just want to have fun with sex to say it lightly, so if you didn't mind with that kind of childhood friend character you can get the nukige and have fun. Other than that nukige release, we have Watamasu was at almost a quarter (24%) TLC-ed, Majikoi A-4 was fully translated, Taimanin Kurenai was at 15% translated, more than three quarter (75.4%) original lines of Summer Pockets are reworked, and Eustia was at 89.05% TLC-ed with side stories was at 92.55% TLC-ed along with Licia's chapter was at 47.91% TLC-ed.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - Since we have controversial GL VN release with the title that can be literally translated as 'How to Make a Wonderful Girlfriend' along with new Cherry Kiss VN with the Japanese title that can be translated as 'Demon Slayer Academy Harem', I did join both title so we have 'How to Make a Demon Slayer' as this week VNTS Review. Of course I know that Demon Slayer here is a very well known anime, and obviously I didn't write on how to make Demon Slayer anime here (You better ask Ufotable if you really interested with that).
Sorry for being very late for this week VNTS Review, and I'll tell the title at PS later. As for this week, let me say that it's quite interesting in that we have Musicus release in that it's one of well received VNs that was just released by Mangagamer a week ago, and other than Musicus we have JAST did release their BL VNs. We also have two updates in regard of Black Lilith nukige, in which one of those updates is the release of the full translation patch. All in all, this week is more or less a breather after what we have from previous two weeks in that we have both Sekai and Nekonyan have a number of new announcements. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week when it come to VNTS Review here, and while I know that Frontwing did have announce their new big breast nukige I'll save the talk about the VN for my next VNTS Review.
Good to see that JAST finally being active for released two VNs at once, even though the VNs in question are not necessarily what I look forward into with one of those is the redundant one. The redundant release in question is Dramatical Murder in that we already have the full translation patch of this ever since back at 2013, although apparently the old translation is unedited from what I hear so if you like some BL VNs with good plot then you can get Dramatical Murder from JAST and have fun. The second release is the trap VN with the localized title Tomgirl of the Mountain, in which we have our male MC who has bad experience with female wander into the mountain which has traps (Or if you want explanation it's the male who have physical feature like female) and the MC was started to wonder if he swing to the wrong side. Go get the trap VN if you somehow want to play BL VN with the heroes looks like cute female, and have fun. Anyway seeing that JAST here being active at this week even if their releases are basically BL VNs, I'll look forward if they can release the rest of their backlog quicker and announce Flowers Hiver at this year.
From fan translation, we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 44% edited and 71.7% original lines of Summer Pockets was reworked. Other than that, we have new project in which it's Taimanin Kurenai which as far as I know is another Taimanin series which mean we should expect some rape along with female ninja wore tight fitting outfit and have big breast. As far as progress concerned, currently it's been at 10% translated and the one who translate it was Rattan Man who usually deal with Black Lilith VN. Speaking of Black Lilith VN, we have Koukaku no Ai full translation patch release in which it's about the female policewoman who has been enhanced with nanotechnology who asked to investigate that has been kidnapped a lot of famous female celebrities, and naturally since this is Black Lilith VNs we obviously expect the policewoman to get raped. Go get Kokukaku no Ai if you want to play some nukige, and have fun.
Since Mangagamer did just released Musicus, obviously they did announce their next release and in this case it's Funbag Fantasy 3if in which they'll release it at May 6th later. As for Musicus itself, the premise is that we have our MC Kei who more or less confused on how he should shape his future. One day he saw a music group who perform and Kei was fascinated with the performance, and as soon as the band was disbanded somehow Kei was asked to reform the band with him as the leader. Musicus itself is called as Overdrive's Swan Song (Bonus point for the writer here was also wrote Swan Song VN) in that it's their last VN before they're stop VN production, and apparently Musicus here is quite well received with several positive reviews in that it might be appropriate to call this as Overdrive's Magnum Opus. That said even with Magnum Opus status here, I can't exactly says that each people would share same opinion in regard of Musicus so perhaps you better try and see if the VN here is really suit your taste or not, and in case you try it then have fun.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - For the title, since one of the heroine from trap VN that JAST was released (More like hero though) voiced by Tomoe Tamiyasu and that she also voiced Makina from Grisaia franchise in that she was known as sniper, I decided to change the word 'Tomgirls' into 'Sniper' so we have 'Sniper of the Mountains' as this week VNTS Review.
Sorry for being late in regard of VNTS Review again, and I'll explain the title at PS later. As for this week, my main focus here is on Sekai announcement in which it should be very exciting for the people who like to see Sekai's big backlog of licenses, so if you've been worried on how recently Sekai's backlog being thinned out don't worry because Sekai did address your worry by adding nine new VNs with eight of those new VNs are from Feng in which as we know was bankrupted. Other than Sekai sudden backlog increase, we have Chaos Head Noah monthly update along with some other update from fan translation, so overall I can say that this week is still interesting although it's not as excited as last week in that we have Nekonyan's new projects reveal. Anyway let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
We have Cherry Kiss release their cousin nukige (For the reminder the localized title is My Married Cousin's Need for Seed), in which I can only say good for anyone else who've been waiting for it so go get the nukige and have fun. Speaking of nukige, turned out that Mangagamer also have one announcement of it, and the nukige in question is from Waffle with the localized title Horny Elves and a Moral Orcs in that it'll depict on some horny elves like to sated their lust to a honorable orc who was spared by the Goddess in the past. Well nice to see that Waffle still willing to ask Mangagamer in regard of localized their VNs I suppose, and the nukige itself is based on a 4-koma manga. Still no progress on this yet so we don't know whether it's one of two Mangagamer's secret project or not, but at least I know that Doddler was involved with this.
From fan translation we have 21,886 lines of Pure x Connect were translated along with 13,441 lines of it were edited, 68.3% lines of original Summer Pockets was reworked, and Eustia was at 86.69% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 46.69% TLC-ed and side stories was past three quarter (78.70%) TLC-ed. For Chaos Head Noah, we have common route was past three quarter (76.96%) translated along with overall of it was at 83.50% translated. Other than the translation, this time we have new updates to pay attention on in which it's TLC and editing in that they'll do those two as the next progress after Chaos Head Noah was fully translated. For the info, there's already some update in both of TLC and editing with the progress was at 5.40% and 1.84% respectively. There's also some update from Sol Press, in that we have Nukitashi was fully edited and currently they've working on QA build so good luck to them in regard of that. Lastly we have Fruitbat already decided the exact release date for MAMIYA, and it'll be at 30th later.
Before going with their new announcements from Feng, let me list some of the updates that Sekai have here. For the updates we have Daybreak engine work was halfway done (Finally a progress after long time), Eternal Heart was fully translated, Sanarara R was fully edited, Kanojo no Seiikii was fully translated and edited, and Rewrite+ was at three quarter translated along with past halfway (55%) edited. We also have Nekopara Catboy Paradise in which instead of usual cute catgirl this time we have handsome catboy, and as such it should be obvious that it'll be otome version of Nekopara (Apparently it'll be all age seeing that I see Kaito Ishikawa did use his real name instead of the alias for the cast). Sekai did plan the release it at summer later, and currently they already fully translated and edited the VN so currently Sekai wait for the build of Nekopara otome here. What I can say is that at least Nekopara did try their best to satisfy their female customer, and that the artist here is Dies Irae artist instead of Sayori (She took the producer role here).
For Feng announcements, two of those are Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi and it's fandisc with the premise that the MC moved to the countryside for the sake of his little brother who has poor health. There's also Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka in which it's about the MC who have a quarrel with his fiancee back when the latter transferred to the MC school (Note that both of Kakaru Hashi and Akaneiro also got anime adaptations). After Kanojo no Seiiki, turned out that Sekai also licensed the rest of two Seiiki VNs (Gakkou and Imouto) as well. Another license is Chiisana Kanojo no Serenade in which it has the setting in the seaside village that has yearly mermaid festival, another one is about the MC who somehow manage to date his friend who turned out to be female, and lastly we have Feng's last VN Yume to Iro de Dekiteiru in that it's about the MC and the heroines formed a club that was supposed to give romance advice to the other students even though they're not experienced in that field. Well I guess it's good that Sekai licensed a number of VNs, although I'm not sure if they can work on this at reasonable pace if we look at their past progresses. Still good luck to them in regard of working on those new announcements.
That's all for what I can say in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - For the title, since we have MAMIYA release date announcement along with Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi announcement by Sekai, I decided to just parodied the English title for the latter (A Bridge to the Starry Skies) by changing 'Starry Skies' with 'World's End' from MAMIYA full title (MAMIYA - A Shared Illusion of the World's End) so we have 'A Bridge to the World's End' as this week VNTS Review.
Sorry for being late in regard of VNTS Review here, and I like that we have Nekonyan finally tell us a lot in regard of their secret projects reveal along with updating their progress. At first I thought that I should write in regard of Nekonyan's update at next VNTS Review, but after some consideration I decided to write in regard of Nekonyan big announcements right now. So overall in regard of this week I can say that it's quite exciting thanks to Nekonyan's announcements, and I'll tell the meaning of the title at PS later. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week.
JAST decided to release their trap VN at April 9th later, and I can only say that good for JAST because they've being active by reducing yet another one of their backlog. Shiravune also released yet another Megasuki in that unlike last week it'll be focused on another girl with glass, and since apparently they already being decisive for using Denuvo on that short VN no much that I can say in regard of Megasuki there (Well Denuvo here is more or less double edge sword, although obviously it gather more con than pro). Other than those two news, we also have Bustafellow was planned to be released at this summer later. Lastly we have Fakku updated their Abaddon status after they released Perverse Incentives back at 24th, in which currently they do the testing on Abaddon and that they already released the trial of it for a while, so perhaps if you like to see on how the disturbing VN will goes you can try the trial.
Turned out that Sekai did indeed released Island Diary in three language (Japan, English, and Chinese) at the same day as Nine Episode 4 release, although apparently it's still not ideal because there's some bug in the VN from what I'd hear. Well it's just smaller release compared to Nine Episode 4, but still at least it can be a good VN if you want to read a short adventure where the MC need to survive in an island together with three girls that has some animal ears, so have fun if you want to read Island Diary there. Other than Island Diary release (In that apparently Sekai still do the QA for Steam version of it), we also have them planning the release for both of Nekogami and ReLord 2 so hopefully with that status it mean that Sekai finally find a good solution in regard of their problem with Nekogami. Lastly we have Kimagure was at one third (33%) edited, and that's all for Sekai's update at this week.
From fan translation, we have Eustia was at 85.73% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 46.46% TLC-ed and side stories was at 72.79% TLC-ed, Hokejo was at 28.9% translated, Nursery Rhyme was at 70% edited (Note that this is new progress because the previous editor only edited up to 55% Nursery Rhyme lines), and Shin Koihime Musou was at 43% edited. That's all for fan translation at this week.
For Nekonyan's update, we have five secret projects reveal which turned out are very interesting. But before that let's talk about their updates in that we have Clover Days was fully edited and planned to be released at this year, Kirikoi was fully edited along with a quarter QC-ed (Congratulation on the successful KS in that it managed to gather almost 100,000 (99,432) euro), and Golden Time translation will started shortly. As for Hello Lady, unfortunately the developer themselves has some difficulty in regard of working on the engine so no much that we can do other than wait.
Since Golden Time was about to start the translation, may as well say that Makeover FD was also about to start the translation. By the way, I did forget to mention that Nekonyan also took Makeover FD license as well from way back at January 2019, and as for the contents it's more or less just after stories for each of the heroines with each of the stories are quite absurd to say it lightly. Speaking of Smee VN, turned out that one of Nekonyan's secret project is Sugar * Style in that it's formerly known as 3rd secret project. With this VN already got the approval from Valve, normally it mean that it's almost ready for the release and in this case we'll have this released at April 30th later. Like other Smee VNs, I can see that it'll full of comedy along with some light romance so if you like Smee moege take a note to the release date. I also look forward to Sugar * Style here, even though apparently it's underrated compared to either Fureraba or Makeover.
Turned out that Nekonyan was planned to release Dracu Riot HD version with the the features that were available in new Yuzusoft VNs, such as voice bookmark and flowchart (Most likely). Not that it will change my opinion that Dracu Riot is redundant announcement, but at least I understand that people like the features in newer Yuzusoft VN. Speaking of newer Yuzusoft VN, turned out their 2nd secret project was exactly that with the name Cafe Stella. Well it's pretty much what people already expected ever since there's English translation of Yuzusoft 4-koma video for each heroines. I still look forward to the release though, and nice to see that the uniform here is resemble Blend S uniform. Cafe Stella here already has some progress with the current progress was at halfway for both of translation and editing progress.
The first Nekonyan's secret project here is Ren'ai Karichaimashita (I'll just call it as Karichaimashita) in that it's the title that people in the Discord already predict this. It's from same developer as Sukiren, so it should be normal if you expect the comedy in this. That said, apparently it's more well received compared to the Sukiren so I'll look forward on this. Like Cafe Stella, it also already has translation project with current progress was at 90% translated along with 69.69% edited and about to preparing QA. I also hear that Ren'ai Royale here (Same developer) is quite good, so I'll look forward to Nekonyan get the license of Royale if possible.
After their contract with Sol Press was over, turned out that Laplacian still not gave up in regard of localizing their VN, with their nukige was ended up in JAST hand and Mirai Radio here is ended up with Nekonyan as their 4th secret project. The premise is still the same in that there's a MC who was about to die only to find himself a strange girl who said that it's not his time to die yet, and that the MC live in a future where there's artificial pigeon ate electromagnetic wave so much that it made chaos in the whole world because it mean there'll be no internet signal that were necessary for modern life. Mirai Radio here already has some progress, with the current progress of this was fully translated along with 36% edited.
Last but not least we have Aoi Tori as the 5th secret project, which prove us that Purple Software really flexible when it come to contract. The premise here is we have a priest who help the female through sex, and one day he met a vampire who in turn start to make many encounter that in turn affected the priest's life. As for Aoi Tori here, currently it's been at 30% translated along with the editing progress unknown. Oh Nekonyan also do engine porting work on this as well, which to say quite a smart decision seeing that we have examples on what happen if the engine work was left to the companies themselves (Just look at Amatsutsumi or Hello Lady in that both of those need to wait the company finish the engine work before moving with the progress).
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for once again being late here. See you next week.
PS - For the title since we have Perverse Incentives, I decided to parodied Parallel Paradise manga (Beware that it has a lot of explicit sexual contents) because the premise is almost the same with both MC was thrown to another world that only has female as the population and that all of the female want to mate with the MC as the only male, although in Perverse Incentives it's the result of the MC attempted to do the suicide though. The parody is is that I changed 'Paradise' to 'Parchment' because Perverse Incentives here is somehow combined economy element in that the MC is very rich as the result of his sperm was as important as gold when it come to stabilized the economy in all female world, and the 'Parchment' part here is from Spice and Wolf (Another series that has economy element) sequel with the subtitle 'Wolf and Parchment'.
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/12/2017)
The title for this time was combined 'A Peaceful Story' that was came from Supipara Chapter 2 that was also known as Peace Story, and Sengoku from Sengoku Rance in which both of those two were Mangagamer Otakon announcement. I knew that the title was quite ironic in a way, considering that back at Sengoku Rance there's always war in the VN itself and also in real life Sengoku era itself was dubbed as period of near-constant military conflict. Welcome to this week VNTS Review along with my commentary in regard of Otakon, although it's very late though for obvious reason the moment I wrote this (Forum breakdown and all).
As for the Otakon itself, this time it's only Mangagamer that had participate and Sekai did had announcements at another convention (Anime Fest). As for my opinion, well to tell the truth the announcements from both of them were quite a letdown to me especially in regard of Mangagamer (Last year Otakon from them was had new interesting announcements, and so does with recent AX), but then again perhaps my expectation was a bit too high here. Regardless, let me write what I could say in regard of Otakon here (And Anime Fest as well if possible).
For the fan translation, after the announcement that Clover Days was translated there's no much to report here other than usual progress, which of course still good if one keep an eye on one of the fan translation project that interest them. For the roundup of fan translation project here, we had Eustia at 19.80% translated, 12.66% edited, and 12.36% TLC-ed; Kanobito was at 8% translated; Majokoi was at 92% edited; Pure Pure was at 22.59% translated; Tsujidou was at 10.3% translated and 6.7% edited; Tsujidou Ai's route was past halfway (58.66%) translated, and overall was at 37.06% translated; and Loverable was at 84.62% translated (Nanako's route at 84.78% translated), 51.53% TLC-ed, and 20.91% edited. This week we also had Lovely Cation progress and right now 1,200 lines from Sera's route (Out of 4,565 lines) were translated. I think that's all for fan translation here, and of course we didn't had either Otakon or Anime Fest announcement for this.
Sekai Project
Sekai's announcement from Anime Fest to be honest not very interesting to me, because it's just new OELVN and I think I didn't interested with those VNs here, but then again maybe there's some people who look forward to the OELVNs. As for the OELVNs announcements, three of those fives were yuri (ie shoujo ai) announcements so perhaps you might interested with those three title if you're yuri fan (The shoujo ai VNs were Blackberry Honey, Same As It Ever Was (From Highway Blossom developer), and Synergy). Another announcement from them was otome game (Operation: Future Domination), in which it didn't really interesting to me to said it lightly although apparently it had some sort of time loop story though so perhaps it could be interesting there. For the last announcement, there's Exogenesis in which it was already in development for 4 years. The premise was apparently it was in post big war setting thing so perhaps it might be interesting, although too bad though that I didn't interested for now (Good luck for the project though).
Speaking of OELVN, there's Shining Song Starnova in which they launched the kickstarter and I think the goal was a bit lower for developing VN that was claimed using Japanese seiyuu, which is only at 40,000. Other than that, there's a problem namely that the writing was quite not fitting according to Zakamutt. Not that I interested with the VN anyway considering that it was mostly just like usual idol anime, but nonetheless good luck to the KS I guess. For the last news in regard of Sekai, let's close it with the good news that Saku Saku was finally will be released at 25th which of course it was very good news. Although seeing that Wagahigh got delayed after the release date was determined, perhaps I better be careful in regard delayed release from Saku Saku (By the way, the release was delayed to 31st at the time I write this (August 24th), but of course I stull looking forward to this (Delayed or not I would be waiting Saku Saku here, although of course I prefer that delay didn't happen).
That's all for Sekai Project section here.
Mangagamer
Before going to the Otakon announcement from them, this week they had two updates. The first update was they released Marina which is apparently just a short NTR nukige VN, which to said not my type here but perhaps there would be some people here who would appreciated that kind of VN. The second update is that they're about to release Boukaku at Spetember 8th later, and they already released the demo for it so if you want to see Boukaku by yourself you may check that out. As for me, I'd already tried the demo itself and I think it's pretty much usual otome game although the MC herself was kind of weak willed though (So much that you could get the bad end at the beginning). So I think I won't get this VN even though it's interested me back at last year AX because it had some sex scene, but if you already decided to get Boukaku hope you gonna enjoy that later.
As for this year, to tell the truth I expected that Mangagamer would bring something like Sengoku Koihime or Haretaka rather than what we had now. Guess I was asked too much here if I wish for those two, especially Haretaka in which it would had some additional procedure before finally Mangagamer could bring it now that Chuuable Soft was bankrupt. Regard less of what I said, I think it's better if we just accepted the announcement from them for now and hope that next time there would be a better announcements from them.
Like Sekai, this week Mangagamer was also announced a number of OELVN to their collection. As for the OELVN itselves, I would said that I didn't quite interested with them in the first place although I must said that one of those were different from the rest of OELVN. As for Lupesoft VN, let's just said that I didn't interested with them at all. As for Five Hearts, it's a yuri VN just like Mangagamer another announcement here but with the monster girl so maybe it could appeal people who like both of monster girl and yuri. For the last OELVN announcements, there's 'His Chuunibyou Can’t be Cured!' which apparently will tell a story of how a group of gaming student was tried to created their own video games. Didn't knew the detail yet, but perhaps it could be interesting I guess. I think that's all for the OELVN and let me write in regard of the localization announcements.
For the first localized VN, there's Ritarnia in which it was another HRPG which focused on the spirit girl. To be honest, right now it was lack of info when I did searched about this one but I managed to found one Youtube video and apparently it was some akin of first person RPG with usual turn based combat. The story itself was fairly cliche old RPG with a threat was looming in the peaceful country, and it's up to the MC himself to counter and destroy the threat. I just hope that in the future we could get more info in regard of this one, and I think for now I prefer Evenicle in regard of HRPG.
Didn't really interested with Room No.9 because it's yaoi and all (If you like that yaoi announcement it's okay), but at least we managed to see Mangagamer get the license for Sono Hanabira 11 aka 1st secret project in which it did had fan translation project previously. As for the premise itself, actually it's just the continuation of the previous five couples that was developed in the previous 10 VNs and the couples would like to deepen their relationship there. However, other than those couples they also featured a new couple in which it's not exactly new though now that they already debuted in 'Remember How We Met' back at 2015 - in fact the couple from that VN (Risa x Miya) was first appeared in Sono Hanabira 11. For more info, it was already had the fan project back at Yuri Project and I already knew that they planned to sell the translation to Mangagamer, also the fact that actually the translator himself (Ralen) was already involved with the official localization of Nyuu Jene so perhaps Sono Hanabira 11 localized by Mangagamer was forgone conclusion.
As for Supipara, at least they finally managed to reach 200,000 sales which mean that they should be prepared for Chapter 2 (ie Peace Story) release in which it will be more focused on our half French tsundere Hotaru. As for Supipara itself, I think it's already well known that it was an ambitious project by minori that was failed because the development cost for that was too expensive, and for now we only had two stories (Smile (Chapter 1) and Peace (Chapter 2)) out of supposed five stories which of course was still incomplete considering that we missed 60% of the story. And since now that we had Chapter 2 announced, minori decided to announced additional goal for their fundraising in order to develop Chapter 3 (aka Passion Story) in which they need to bring the overall sales at 350,000 (ie they need to gather at least 150,000 to start the development). I would say that this method would be too slow if they really want to launch Supipara faster, but then again it might be only need two years perhaps if they managed to release Trinoline later and add the sales to fundraising (Would be still be very slow though). For now I would like to just wait and see as usual, although I won't expect much though.
For Rance announcements, I would say that this is actually good announcements. But I would say that Sengoku announcements was very redundant to me here, if only because we already had that fully translated for a long time ago mistakes aside. Besides, I think some people out there would be prefer that Mangagamer announced the new stuff instead of Sengoku because they already secured Rance license with Rance VI release. Well whatever float in Mangagamer's boat I guess, although to tell the truth I prefer Mangagamer (And Arunaru as the translator) got busy in Rance IX instead of this though, because to tell the truth I want to see of how Rance IX conclude one of the interesting subplot (You knew if you play Sengoku).
As for Rance Quest, it's good that they got the Magnum version because it was the improved version of Rance Quest. Also they got the old translator to work on this so it should be good, but then again it's quite inevitable though that the old translator (Tulip Goddess Maria) would work on this sooner or later. As for the premise, it's the continuation of Sengoku in which it would tell us of how Rance will tried his best to resolve his own problem, only to greeted by another problem because he was too reckless in regard of having sex (It's quite complicated to explain). Long story short, Rance decided to gathering the female that he sexed, and from there he was doing as he please while searching a way to solve his problem. As for the story, I'd heard that it was mostly quest based which mean that there will be no big war like VI or IX. Although the main point for this VN was apparently it's trying to resolve the side characters story from Rance which should be a lot considering that it was already out for 20 years. I'll be looking forward to this for now, even if the wasn't as epic as VI here.
I think that's all for what I could write in regard of Otakon here. See you next week (Or rather next VNTS Review).
PS - Forget to said that Subahibi was as expected managed to reach the goal at 80,000 at this week, although looks like they're gonna had a hard time though to reach 180,000.
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/05/2017)
I decided to make all of the VNTS Review that I couldn't created earlier because the forum was down, or just as Tay said 'FuwApocalypse'. Keep in mind that for this VNTS review it might be disjointed, because I tried to write the info based on the VNTS rather than current updates so I might be wrong on several data here (Also sometimes I attempted to write this based on the day I read VNTS). As for the title for the first post apocalypse VNTS Review, I decided to go with 'Ritsuko the Apocalypse Maiden' (Sorry in regard of this beforehand if you Ritsuko hardcore fans) because back at 5th the forum was already down for a few days, and we had Ritsuko as VNTS image. So I just combined the trope 'Apocalypse Maiden' and Ritsuko for the title, and let's see what I could write in regard of past VNTS.
As for Mangagamer, considering that it was already two weeks since their last update it's quite unusual that they didn't had the update for this week. But then again perhaps right now they preparing for the Otakon later, and since they had six titles announcements planned perhaps they need some time to preparing themselves. Well, guess I'm gonna to be looking forward to their Otakon announcements later. I knew that it's quite ironic to said that today after Otakon was already ended days ago, and most importantly their announcements were quite a letdown to me here.
No updates from Mangagamer aside, they did open the preorder for Seabed at their site earlier which mean that at least Fruitbat already got the release date and it would be at December 26th later. Speaking about that date, it was had some history with my country (Indonesian) that a big tsunami happened on that day back at 2004, and it's quite ironic that Seabed was had sea in the title (Very obvious). Other than Seabed which for now I was interested with, there's Subahibi kickstarter in which it was quite successful considering that it was almost managed to fully funded within the first days of their Kickstarter (Almost 76,000 funded), and therefore it's almost obviously gonna reach the goal (80,000) in the few days. Speaking about Kickstarter, there's Sakusakura which already set their Kickstarter target at 24,000 with their Prefundia. Considering that the team was the new player for VN localization, perhaps there's bound one or two mistakes from them in regard of Kickstarter but nevertheless good luck to their Kickstarter.
For fan translation section, there's some usual update here along with two projects which were completed the translation progress. For the updates, we had Eustia at 18.55% translated, 12.44% edited, and 12.1% TLC-ed; Majokoi was at 91% edited; Kanobito was at 6% translated for the new progress (Turned out that the new translator was TBAC); Pure Pure was at 21.48% translated; Tsukiyori was at 9.8% translated and 5.9% edited; Tsujidou was at 38.06% for overall (Ai's route was past halfway (58.66%) translated; and Loverable was at 83.39% translated (Nanako's was at 76.82% translated) and halfway (50.29%) TLC-ed. For the completed progress there's Clover Days and Sansha Mendan. For Sansha Mendan, well to be honest I didn't care about that but I think it'll be good if Quof want to continue Lovely x Cation because from what I knew the old project was sort of inactive, so hopefully he could managed to completely translated that. Good luck to the new project there, and looking forward to his Lovely x Cation 2 project as well (Quof was also said that he will translated the 2nd title as well).
As for Clover Days, actually it should be very good news considering that it was at 100% translated. However, knowing that Astro was quite busy as Sekai translator project perhaps it would be a long time before finally we could see Clover Days release (Not to mention that apparently there's a lot of editing and QC work left), and that's not to mention another reason that perhaps I shouldn't say it here because it's just my speculation here. But regardless of what would happen with Clover Days project in the future, I hope the best for the project and hope we could enjoy the translated version of that sooner or later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and I'll write my commentary about Otakon here. See you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/09/2020)
Foreword - Looks like we finally have VNTS again even though the format is different, so I'll link it like back in the past. I hope that Zakamutt can keep it up.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and since I recently see some Jojo meme (And check some of the anime along with the manga), I decided to parodied the franchise in question by changing 'Jojo' into 'Kozue'. For the info Kozue here is the MC of Kozue's Strange Journey that was released by Kagura Games, and for the reminder strange is the synonym of bizarre while journey is the synonym of adventure. As for this week, what I can say is that after some active weeks this time it's quite calm in that there's only several updates along with one release, so yeah it's more or less just average week here although at least we have IxShe Tell exact release date announcement. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
As for Room No. 9 that Mangagamer just released, it's more or less a BL VN with the premise that Daichi was trapped in a hotel together with his male lover and in order to escape he must do several tasks that was assigned to him in that the choices are pretty much telling them to hurt each other. No much to say other than at least it should be good if we look that the writer is also wrote well-received BL VN No Thank You (I know that the name is a punny one), so get the VN if you interested and have fun. Of course with this Mangagamer announced their next release, and in this case it's WanNyan in that it's doggirl and catgirl nukige. Except that it turned out that the heroines are turned out to be just normal human who cosplayed to work at the cafe, and it's also the case back at Macchiato. As for the release date, it'll be at September 3rd later so feel free to note the date if you want to get it. I'll try WanNyan later, if only for the sexy alternative costumes that the heroines wear lol.
Sekai have some updates, in that they have Slobbish Princess was fully translated, Kimagure was at 65% translated, and currently Nine 3 was waiting for the build approval. No much to say other than I hope that it mean they already prepared the release build for Nine Episode 3, and that hopefully they'll be able to release it at this year if possible seeing that Valve can be quite random in their approval. Speaking of Valve, they allowed Bokuten to be sold on Steam again after Mangagamer did some modification to the game file by changing the hidden 18+ CGs into blank files, so perhaps the hidden 18+ CGs in the game file of Steam version is really the problem.
This week we have Trip being busy with his move, so unfortunately there's no Ginharu progress at this week. For other updates, we have Miotsukushi Ura was at 83% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 35% edited, Loverable was at 89.66% edited, Harugi was at 60% translated with Branch route was past halfway (64%) translated, Eustia was at 93.70% translated with side stories was at 59.10% translated, and Reflection Blue was at 60.6% translated with Miki's route was past three quarter (77.2%) translated along with Shiki's route (The longest new route of Summer Pocket for the info) was at almost a quarter (24.1%) translated. Forgot to inform that Alka decided to hold Kud Wafter translation in order to be focused on Reflection Blue, so we must wait if you looking forward to Kud Wafter.
Turned out that Nekonyan decided to have IxShe Tell as their next release instead of Hello Lady. While granted that I didn't have problem with the release, I did think that Hello Lady would be Nekonyan's next release seeing that it's almost close to the completion back then. Well perhaps we'll going to have Hello Lady as their next release after IxShe Tell, so let's wait and hope that we'll see it at this year. As for the release date of IxShe Tell, it'll be at 28th later so obviously note the date if you've been waiting for it. What I can say is that at least the art is quite good if anything else, and just expect this as pure moege. Almost forget to say that we have the Steam store for this as well, so you can get IxShe Tell from Steam in case you using Steam.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/27/2020)
Welcome to my last VNTS Review for 2020, and merry belated Christmas (Also I'm sorry for being late here). As for this week, we have (Redundant) Majikoi release from JAST back at Christmas day and Sekai belated release of Amairo Chocolata English version, so I can say that it's still good to see official company release some VNs for Christmas. Other than the releases from the official, there's two releases from fan translation section with one of the VN has some complication behind the release. Of course we still have some updates, and most of the updates are comes from fan translation section. Overall I can say that this is yet another exciting week, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. I'll tell the title for my last 2020 VNTS Review at PS later.
Cherry Kiss did release yet another of their nukige with the title Angel Sex Pet, and they release it back at 24th. No much to say other than it's a nukige about on how the MC turned the angel into his sex slave, and that it's quite old seeing that it's 2009 VN. Go get that if you've been interested with it and have fun. Sekai finally did release Chocolata after they decided to release it in Chinese first, which to say not the most favorable decision for the people who can't read Chinese (I just hope that this and Koiama 2 are the only VNs that Sekai did Chinese language release first). As for Amairo, it's about the MC who can see the animal ear of the cafe workers who turned out to hybrid beast (ie catgirl and doggirl). No much to say other than go get Chocolata if you've been wanting to read it in English, and have fun. We also have PQube announce that they'll release Bustafellows at 2021 later, and it's an otome VN with the premise that the female MC is a journalist that has special power that allow her to leap into the past for a short time by using other people body. No much to say for now other than it's also available for PC as well, so at least it should be good for otome fan who only have PC to play the VN.
JAST did release Majikoi back at Christmas, and first of all I would say that it's a redundant release because we already have it translated since back at 2015. That said, perhaps you may try it if you find the older version of Majikoi has inconsistent translation because it's been translated by two different groups in the past, and have fun if you play new version of Majikoi. Also apparently 70% of the voices was cut down because of the VA license which to say is quite expensive seeing that some of Majikoi's VAs are very well known VAs which cause it to be quite costly to license, and with two of the VAs (Tsukada Maasaki and Fujiwara Keiji) are already passed away it mean that JAST need to do some paperwork's to license the voices which to say would take too much effort. Fortunately there's some fans who released the patch that add the voice for JAST version, so that the player who play JAST version of Majikoi didn't need to play partially voiced VN. Almost forget to mention that there's an update in regard of Slow Damage, and currently it's been at 18% translated.
There's surprise release of partial patch of Majikoi A-5 in that it cover Margit and Harem's route, although I would say that it's obviously just another Majikoi fandisc and other than first Majikoi all of it's other VNs are fandisc (Yes including S which by the staffs admission they initially planned it as such only to upped it as sequel in the middle of the development). That said if you want to see more Margit, go get A-5 partial patch here and have fun. We also have Taimanin Yukikaze 2 full patch released, in which once again it'll follow Yukikaze's story. As for the premise Yukikaze need to infiltrate a dangerous facility as her mission, and of course it's only inevitable that she'll raped in many ways seeing that it's nukige and all. Go get the patch if you interested with it, and have fun. By the way I would say that Yukikaze's breast here is quite flat compared to many other Black Lilith heroines, so at least she can be nice to look if you've been bored of big breast heroines lol.
For the rest of the updates, we got Eustia was at 58.62% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 35.31% TLC-ed, Loverable was at 93.92% edited, Harugi was at almost three quarter (74%) translated with Yuuna's route was past three quarter (79%) translated along with Misaki's route was at 20% translated, and Reflection Blue was at 88.4% edited with Shiki's route was past halfway (59.1%) edited. There's also Pure x Connect update as well, although I'll save it for my next VNTS Review at next year. No much that I can comment in regard of the updates other than it's nice to see some progress in Eustia's TLC, and if you want to help the TLC feel free to contact the editor or the translator (The Reddit thread in regard of that for more info).
When it come to GHS (George Henry Shaft), normally what I can see is that the guy himself is quite infamous with his Cross Channel translation that apparently quite bad. His past works are quite random just like Pulltop, in that either of those are redundant (The aforementioned Cross Channel), less known, or have questionable format (Chaos Child Love Chu Chu, in which he released it in form of video). With that resume normally I would dismiss his release, but not this time because turned out his release back at Christmas is Gekkou no Carnevale in which it's one of Nitroplus VN that is quite well known to a degree. As for the premise it's about our MC Romeo who work as taxi driver and ironically he's quite blind when it come to direction, although he has some secret in that he also a werewolf who ran away from the mafia. One day he met a female living doll with the name Anna, and turned out she's quite cheerful. From there both of Romeo and Anna try to live their best while at the same time they need to fend some enemies that come in their way (And naturally it mean that Romeo need to fight). Go get Carnevale patch if you want to try it despite the translator infamy (Personally I would suggest you to try the patch first before dismissed it as badly translated, but to each of their own), and have fun.
That's all for my last VNTS Review in 2020 here, and see you next year.
PS - For the title, since we have Majikoi released along with Angel Sex Pet, I decided to just parodied the second part of Majikoi full title (Please Love Me Seriously) by changing 'Love' with 'Pat' so that we have 'Please Pat Me Seriously' as this week VNTS Review. Note that I use 'Pat' instead of 'Pet' here, because the former is more polite and that both words sounds similar.
Visual Novel Translation Status (04/22/2017)
Since we had Nishikino Maki as one of the image header there, I decided to just make it like somehow Maki had reverse harem of ayakashi from Ayakashi Gohan lol (I knew that the ayakashi had one girl that they like though). Well sorry if it's quite cheesy there, and let me say welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for this week, compared to last week we had more updates from Mangagamer and some releases from both of Sekai and fan translation. Although if I may comment here, it's still not big enough to me though if we talk about the releases. For more detail here, let's see what kind of updates that we had at this week shall we.
If some people here waiting for Dies Irae release (I bet there's a lot here), be happy because Light was announced when they release the digital version for it. It's at May 31st, although keep in mind that it was because of the delay though which mean that Light was planned to release it by the middle of May. There's also the matter of physical edition in which it'll be delivered at June 30th. Keep in mind that it may change in the future, although for now I was content though now that we had a release date. There's also Lump of Sugar which planned to release another of their VN overseas (Magical Charming), and it was already Greenlighted at Steam which of course it'll be released at Steam. No idea of how much the cut at H content for now here seeing that Steam was forbid game with explicit sexual content for now, although the first impression that I got for now that it's quite average VN looking at VNDB score. Let's see it later in regard of Magical Charming. Oh, and by the way Fruitbat was announced that Kickstarter for Chuusotsu was begin at 25th (Good luck), and I'll report the progress of the Kickstarter here.
By the way, if there's people who look forward to Nekonin be glad because they finally release it. As for the VN itself, well it's quite interesting if one interested with catgirl and ninja I guess. From what I knew, looks like it was quite mediocre looking at both of of EGS and VNDB average score (Both was at around 68). But then again maybe some people here will find the good side of Nekonin though, so feel free to try it out. Oh, and other than Nekonin release this week Sekai was only had one update in which goes like Bokukotsu was at 57.27% which is quite a big jump from last week. Other than those two news, there's still no word from Sekai in regard of Rakuen yet so I guess it's probably would be going to delayed again.
As usual ie biweekly, this week go got another updates from Mangagamer which of course was good. As for the updates it goes like Sorcery Joker was at 87% translated, Hapymager was at 74% translated (69% edited), Trinoline was 11.5% translated (2% edited), Boukaku was fully edited, Naked Butler was at 63% retranslated, Hashihime was at 39% translated (3% edited), Fata Morgana fandisc was at 44% edited, and Dal Segno was in testing. There's also some secret projects update which goes like 1st was at 88% translated, 3rd was at 43.5% translated (43% edited), 4th was at 97% translated (64% edited), and 7th was at 54% translated. There's also some matter of Imouto Paradise 2 in which right now our Doddler was handling the porting for it, and he was also planned to working on Bokuten next. For one last remark here, I wonder if they about to prepare the release if Dal Segno in near future although looking at Mangagamer release pattern it's probably in this year (Hopefully).
For fan translation section, there's two nukige release. One of those releases was Maki Fes (Another was Black Lilith VN), in which it was tell the story of about how very bland MC was try to made some friendship with Maki in hope to be more intimate with her (Of course Maki will like the MC lol). To tell the truth, the story was just lemon (18+ fanfic) for Maki so for the VN itself it's nothing special. Although the staff whose worked on Maki Fes was quite interesting though (There's Zakamutt and Asonn), and by the way congratulations for Maki Fes release.
As for the updates, first of all we finally got Majokoi continuing the translation progress because Maki Fes was finished (The new translator was also work in Maki Fes), and for the update here we got Majokoi at 73.5% translated and 19% TLC-ed (Good luck with the translation there). For the rest of the updates we got Loverable finally reached 60% mark translated (Also with 33.45% TLC-ed and 18.5% edited); Koiken Otome fandisc was had Shiho route at 15% translated; Eustia was at 7.5% translated (For more detail the prologue was at 81.44% translated and halfway (50.26%) edited), and by the way they were planned to release a partial patch that cover up to Eris arc. As for HatsuKoi, maybe they'll release Maya's patch later or tomorrow but one thing for sure I'll waiting for the update here (Also report it here of course, along with their next project).
That's all for this week, and see you next week.
PS - Right now Tsurezure was released Maya's patch which of course translated Maya's route and all other heroines route except Yukino. As for the progress, Yukino's was at 35% translated and overall was already pass 90% mark translated (91.47% translated). As for their next project, it was Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road which was called as some sort of Majikoi successor iirc. It's also had the translation project here, but looks like it's already dead for years. Look forward if you fan of Tsujidou, and I'll definitely report the progress for Tsujidou here.
Visual Novel Translation Status (04/15/2017)
I knew the title was very cheesy here, but at least it should be obvious what it meant lol. For the explanation, the image header was a hero from recently released otome games Nightshade Gekkamaru (Quite handsome to me lol), in which he was described as one of the ninja from Kouga's family. As for the Nightshade itself, I must admit that the graphic look good and the story was at the post Sengoku wars. Too bad that I didn't quite interested at otome games though, although if you interested with otome I would suggest you to get Nightshade. Anyway, sorry for being very late here once again to write my commentary here. As for this week, unless you fan of otome games there this week was to be honest was quite plain there with no notable updates yet, although there were some announcements though. Let's see what I could write here.
While a week ago I was interested with Sekai Project, turned out that their announcement from Sakuracon was not big one (Granted it may be less known convention, but still). As for the announcement, it's from less known company from the info that I could see at VNDB. The premise might be interesting though, but for now I won't quite interested (Maybe I will in the future). Anyway, back to updates we had Fatal Twelve was at 52% translated, KARAKARA 2 was at 60% translated, and Bokukotsu was past over halfway mark translated (53.52% translated). Oh, by the way Nekopara 3 release was delayed to May 26th because of the health problem from the illustrator (Sayori). That's all for Sekai project here.
There's also a matter of Overdrive last project thing, which is at least one of Mangagamer April Fools post in regard of Overdrive closing was at least partially true. Because by last project of course it mean that Overdrive was about to be close (Duh). Anyway, as for the project there's still no concrete info as of now (Other than there will be two crowdfunding, one for the initial funding and another for near release physical edition preorder), but at least there's some confirmation it'll be released in Japan and English at the same time. Well, looking forward to Overdrive swan song here then (Quite funny since the writer (Setoguchi Ren'ya) wrote Swan Song in the past).
For fan translation, actually other than Nightshade there's another otome VN released here. The VN in question was Ayakashi Gohan which apparently was already in translation for a while there, and had the female MC in three personality (Also had some supernatural thing with ayakashi). Congratulation for the release of Ayakashi Gohan complete patch by the way. As for the usual updates, we had:
Eustia was at reaching three quarter mark translated for the prologue (75.82% translated, and overall was at 6.98% translated). Oh, and it was also 37.27% TLC-ed (For the prologue, while the overall was at 3.43%)
Loverable was at 31.65% TLC-ed and 17.95% edited
HatsuKoi was at 84.97% translated (Maya's route was at 90.08% translated), and they hope that they could release Maya's patch by next weekend.
Tsui Yuri was at 86% QC-ed
Koiken Otome fandisc was at 3% (ie 709 lines from Shiho route) translated
For more progress, there's Konosora retranslation project in which right now Amane's route was at more or less three quarter retranslated (All of other routes were already finished). As for Majokoi, there's no update from the number of translated lines yet although for now we had TLC update though which right now was at 17% TLC-ed (FredtheBarber hope that after MakiFes release the new translator could had more time for Majokoi, or so I'd read in one of his posts). As for the Clover Days, Ittaku stated that he finally started the translation of the Anzu's route although unlike ToHeart 2 in the past, there'll be unedited complete patch though if the translation for Anzu's was complete (I assume it was to avoid similar situation like back at ToHeart 2). Oh, and there's also Nocturnal Illusion Renewal in which the editing was going slowly because the editor was addicted to Persona 5 right now (I understand that very well).
That's all for my very late VNTS Review here, and happy Easter there. See you next Sunday.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/20/2020)
As for this week VNTS Review, since we have Riddle Joker MC with the name Arihara Satoru in which it remind me that Shera My Witch MC was also have the name Satoru (At least Riddle Joker's Satoru didn't voiced his narration and thus I didn't need to hear on how horny he is lol) and that we have Ayase who is a psychic, I decided to parodied Shera My Witch here and so we have 'Ayase My Psychic' as this week VNTS Review. As for this week, it's quite eventful with several releases from Sekai, Mangagamer, and Nekonyan. Other than release, we also have several updates which to say quite a numerous as well and also we'll going to have several releases at Christmas as well. To conclude it, I can say that overall this week is quite exciting. Let's see what I can write in this week VNTS Review as well, and I'm sorry for being late here.
While normally Mangagamer would announce their next release now that they released Sukehime, curiously this time they didn't do it so we can only wait for them to reveal their next release by themselves. Anyway as for Sukehime here it's a otome VN with sex scenes, with the setting that the female MC Marika is someone who came from the planet (And yes it mean that Marika is an alien) with the population of the planet being openminded in regard of the sex. The premise of Sukehime here is about Marika who is the princess of her planet come to Earth in order to search for her husband and then crashing into two handsome men, and as form of greeting Marika kissed both men only to find the men themselves are confused. From there Marika decided to befriended those two men with one of those men might be the fated husband for Marika, although in here Marika can also chose her maid to be her love interest as well (The maid is a female by the way). Go get Sukehime if you interested with otome VN that has sex scenes, and have fun.
No much I can say in regard of Zombie VN release other than I'm not surprised if Volume 3 is still not resolved the plot, because it's adapted from the ongoing light novel and therefore it's still incomplete. I also heard the complain on Volume 3 in that apparently one of the heroine was set aside, although I like to think that light novel author may set aside the heroine to appear in his future story and of course Volume 3 here is not the place for the heroine in question. Other than two Zombie VN releases, there's also Bokukotsu FD in which it tell the after stories of the heroines after they got intimate with the MC (Ren), and Sekai did release it as the add on for original Bokukotsu. Well if anything else at least Sayori's art here is quite good so you can play it for the sake of graphics if you've been looking forward to good looking cute nukige. Go get those three from Steam (Or might be either Bokukotsu FD or Zombie VN only), and have fun. That's all for Sekai's releases at this week, and at least it's good for them that their backlog decreased a bit here.
Apparently JAST like to update their BL backlog at this week, so let me give some roundup of it. As for this week, we have them opening the pre-order for Dramatical Murder (Still redundant release to me anyway), Jousou Sanmyaku (JAST trap VN) was in testing in that I didn't know on how long it's been like that since I didn't see JAST keeping their regular update (At least Sol Press is better at keeping regular update despite their state right now), and Slow Damage was at 14% translated. That's all for JAST updates in regard of their BL VNs, and yes I treat the VN that have male MC and trap heroines as BL VN.
Fan Translation
For fan translation roundup, we have 18,610 lines of Pure x Connect are translated along with almost 10,000 (9,973) lines of it are edited, Eustia was at 58.17% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 32.95% TLC-ed, Loverable was at 92.99% edited, Majikoi A-4 common route was translated (The common route of A-4 has 32 scripts, so 32 out of 62 scripts of A-4 was fully translated), and Shinimasu was almost fully edited (ie 99% edited). We also have Axanael trial translation being released, and the translator ask for the staffs in order to helping her with work (More info on the thread here) so hopefully she'll get some help in the future. As for Axanael itself, it's a Nitroplus VN with the premise that six players play a Russian Roulette that allowed the shooter to grant the wish at a heavy price (Other people life), and another thing to note is that the core staffs of Axanael also work together in Kimikoi. No much to say other than good luck to the translator, and you can play the trial (Go get the translated trial here) to see if Axanael would be interesting to you or not.
There's a new translation group with the name Kakugo Translation, and they just released their first translated VN Knot Fiction back at 19th. What I can see is that apparently it's a nukige VN involved two married couple, except that the wife herself is more like big sister to our MC who supposedly to be take the husband role. Other than that, well the team did describe the VN did have the engine that apparently quite problematic so much that hacking it is a pain. As for the release, congratulation in regard of that and go get the patch from Kakugo Translation website if you interested with it and have fun. Also Kakugo Translation here did apparently working on a VN, although they didn't reveal the VN in question though so no much that we can do other than wait (Good luck on the project).
Other
For Abyss of the Sacrifice, I can only say that it's more like Cute Girls Do Cute Things only that the cute things that the girls do is survival games. The graphic itself is quite old from what I can say, which is make sense seeing that it's created back at 2010 for PSP. It also got some interesting name when it come to VAs, such as Kitamura Eri and Yukana. From what I read, apparently it also follow Zero Escape game to a degree when it come with the gameplay in that it also come with the puzzle, except that in here the casts are all girls (Duh) while in Zero Escape there's a number of male casts. As for Abyss of the Sacrifice itself, the premise is like there're several girls from different countries are somehow locked down inside an underground facility that was called Foundation. Said building was suddenly faced it's destruction and it's up to the girls themselves to survive, which to say wouldn't be easy just like any escape game tell us. Get Abyss of the Sacrifice if you're interested with this lesser known VN, and have fun.
We also have ShiraVN did change their name into Shiravune (Their tweet about that), and more importantly they'd announce that they have been working on several VNs (Apparently at eight works). The most obvious guess would be that all of their new VNs would be from DMM, so it could be either Sorceress Alive or Shinsou Noise if I may expect it a bit higher. They also will bring the news in regard of the future of Utawarerumono on PC on January 7th at their tweet here, so let's see it later. What I can say is that after several releases with almost no problem, I'll look forward to see what Shiravune can do in regard of the releases in the future.
As we know, the biggest release that we have at this week is from Nekonyan and the release in question is obviously Riddle Joker. As for the VN itself, I remember that mod Clephas did say that it resemble Dracu Riot so perhaps one may take that that opinion into account when it come into expectation. So in case some of you still waiting Nekonyan to finished the engine porting of Dracu Riot (Yes I also know some people who still waiting for Dracu Riot official release even though we already have the leaked patch), you can play Riddle Joker first in order to taste Dracu Riot (Sort of). In the end, I can only say that both of VNs (Dracu Riot and Riddle Joker) are good on their own. As for the premise, we have our MC Satoru who is a spy infiltrate a special school that educate the students with superpower, and at one instance Satoru's mission was found out by student council president Ayase who turned out also harbor a big secret. From there both of Satoru and Ayase did interact before finally being in love with each other, although of course in here Satoru can ended up with the other heroines besides Ayase. Go get Riddle Joker from either Steam, Denpasoft, JAST, and Fakku (Ironically not at Nekonyan's own store seeing that their own store is busted) if you interested, and have fun
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
PS - I know that there's several updates besides on what I did write, such as Majikoi release date announcement (At Christmas later), Taimanin Yukikaze 2 releases, and Chocolata English version release. But even without those news this week is already quite eventful, so I'll save the talk about those three at my next VNTS Review.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'm simply combined 'Melty' word from Melty Moment and 'Reflection' word from Summer Pockets Reflection Blue so we have 'Melty Reflection' as this week VNTS Review title. As for this week, release wise it's not as active as the last week although the updates was still manage to make up for it though. For the updates, we have usual one from fan translation and monthly one from Nekonyan, and most importantly we manage to have Irru fulfilled his goal to release Momiji's patch at June today. In any case, let's see what I can write for this week as well here.
From Sol Press we have Irotoridori was fully translated along with the editing was almost completed at 90% edited. Looking from the progress of their other VNs, looks like it'll be next release. No much to say for now other than I'll look forward for the near future release from Sol Press if possible. From Frontwing as expected they'll release Phantom Trigger Volume 7 in English language as well, and for the release date, it'll be at July 22nd later according to the Steam page. What I know for now is that it would be the last volume for Phantom Trigger, and that it'll be longer compared to the previous volumes. If anything, at least I can accept this as the conclusion of Phantom Trigger more easily compared to Rakuen seeing that Phantom Trigger here is more or less a linear VN compared to Kajitsu (Although there's no sex scenes though).
As for Nekonyan's updates, currently we have Hello Lady was at 40% in QA and apparently it's already completed the editing progress for the fandisc part as well. While it mean that Hello Lady should be next Nekonyan's release, it's still not determined as of now because we also have two projects that was in QA as well. Those two projects are IxShe Tell with the current progress was at 85% translated and 80% edited along with 35% in QA, and Riddle Jokers in that it's been at a quarter in QA. In any case, I'll look forward to see whether Nekonyan's next release would be one of those three VNs above or not. For the rest of their updates, we have Kirikoi was at three quarter translated along with a quarter edited, Aokana EXTRA 1 was at 45% translated along with 15% edited, and 1st secret project was at 30% translated. Lastly we finally have Melty Moment start the progress after more than two years in hiatus, and currently it's at 30% translated. That's all for Nekonyan's updates at this month.
Since the new fragments for PS3 version of Matsuribayashi translation was finished, it mean that the work on Miotsukushi Ura was resuming. As for the current progress of Miotsukushi Ura, it's at 54% translated. For more updates from fan translation, we have Taimainin Yukikaze 2 was at three quarter translated, Kud Wafter all age version was past three quarter (77.38%) translated, and Eustia was at 90.37% translated with side stories was at 37.52% translated. Since we have Summer Pockets Reflection Blue released, of course Alka decided to translate it and since they already translated the original version it mean that at least they already finished a substantial part of Reflection Blue itself (Apparently more than halfway). Also this time they decided to work on this until they finished unless they got C&D from VA seeing that the official version of Summer Pockets did have some flaws (ie typo and some broken word-wrap), so let's see if they can finished Reflection Blue here.
For the last update, we finally manage to have Momiji's patch released today, and the patch did cover 62.57% of Ginharu. So if you already interested with Momiji ever since Ginharu being released and can't wait for Mizuha's patch release, go get Momiji's patch and have fun. As for the next plan while it should be obvious that they'll translate Yuzuki's route next, Irru still don't know what's Trip's plan for that yet. Irru also hope that they'll be able to go back to weekly update starting this week, so let's see if Tsurezure can do it later.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/13/2020)
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Double Cast English patch being released back at November 29th along with two zombie VNs releases that's supposed to be happen at today, I did change the word 'Cast' in Double Cast into 'Zombie' so we have Double Zombie as this week VNTS Review. As for this week, I would say that I agree with Zakamutt in that there's not much happening here, but perhaps it's inevitable in that it's a breather for the next week in that there'll be a number of releases. If anything else at least we can see both Sekai and Cherry Kiss being aggressive in their updates, so overall this week is not too bad to me. Let's see what I can write for this week as well.
As usual Cherry Kiss announced nukige, and this time we have two of those. The first one is Angel Sex Pet in that apparently the MC will give the the angel a lot of love through some rough sex, and the second one is Conquer and Breed the Demon Queen in that the MC is somehow manage to summon a demon queen and that the demon queen must have sex with the MC based on the contract. What I can say is that the latter was announced back at November 28th based on VNDB, both VNs still not have the release date, and that both nukige will be available on Steam. Not my most favorite announcements to say it lightly, but at least the announcements should be good if one want more short nukige from Cherry Kiss. Speaking about announcement, we finally have Frontwing announce the new release estimation month for Sharin and it'll be a March later. It's still redundant release to me though, but at least it should be good news for anyone else who back Sharin back when Frontwing do the Kickstarter. We also have Verdelish do a good job on Slow Damage with the current progress is at 7% translated.
Not much happening in regard of fan translation at this week admittedly. That said, we have new Amagami update in that they stated the plan to completed the translation was not achieved because of the team business and the circumstances. We still have the editing progress of it continuing though, in that currently it's been at 91.6% edited with 2,134 out of 2,329 lines are edited. The team also said that they still need to work more on this, including beta testing. As for Akagoei, since the team already finished both of common and Reika's route naturally it mean that they'll translate the new route, and in this case they chose to translate Nae's route next. That's all for this week fan translation updates.
For Sekai's update, at last we finally can see the progress from both of Daybreak and ReLord 2 although unfortunately the updates aren't in form of the release date announcements, but instead we have Daybreak user interface work was almost complete and that ReLord 2 was already receiving the build. Well I guess they need some more time to work on the engine, so hopefully they can work on it smoothly (Especially in regard of Daybreak). We also have Love Duction about to do the QA soon, so it might be one of Sekai's future release in near future. I know that they also have two secret projects with one of those are fully translated while the other are already both of fully translated and edited, but considering that their past secret projects are either OELVN or translated to Chinese language first, I'll just wait until Sekai ready to reveal it by themselves. They also have been waiting for Amatsutsumi's build, and that they already received the build for Nine Episode 4 with them about to start the QA. What I can say is that I guess I can say that they already finished the translation work for Amatsutsumi, and also I also hope that they can start the QA for Nine Episode 4 in the near future.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, even though there's no usual VNTS for this week because of some screw up. For the title, I just combined two releases at this week (Retarnia and Venus Blood Chimera) into one title by parodying Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, so I decided to make it into 'Retarnia Odyssey: Legend of the Chimera based on those two releases - coincidentally both of the title in question were VN RPG. For this week, I like that there's many releases of translated VNs at once (Three) and some good news from fan translation side as well. There's also Mangagamer announced one of the title that people took the interest as well, along with some usual updates from them. So let's see what I could write for this week as well.
Fron Frontwing, we have Phantom Trigger volume 4 release in which we gonna have another character focused episode in which this time the focus was goes to Chris and her presumably dark past. No much I could say in regard of this, other than by next chapter we should have a glimpse of Haruto's past because the next chapter should be focused on Haruto's childhood friend. Other than Phantom Trigger volume 4, we have Newton VN with Yotsuko's route was fully translated and Lavi's route was at 30% translated, while the common route editing was catch up to the translated part with 76% as of now with Yotsuko's route just begin the editing at 1% edited. Since we have Newton VN which is Sol Press project, let me say that they'll release Sakusakura at March in which they already announced that back at December (I miss the news very badly lol) and right now they already open the Steam store for that so at least they ready for the release.
Mangagamer
We have some good news from Mangagamer, especially if you're like Sono Hanabira franchise. The reason was because Mangagamer already announced that they'll release Sono Hanabira 11 at February 22nd later, and curiously it also have Steam version as well in which they gonna did the usual free patch for Steam version. Other than Sono Hanabira 11, we have Retarnia release (I'd always misspelled it as Ritarnia lol) in which it was released back at 26th. Unfortunately the VN itself still pretty much quite an unknown one even after the release, although at least I knew that more or less it's first person dungeon crawling with MC and five spirit heroines in a quest to stop the demon onslaught that come from another dimension. Yeah, the story was pretty much a cliche usual JRPG story one.
For the rest of the updates from Mangagamer, we got that Hapymaher was still in testing, Supipara Peace story was finished the testing (So it's possible that it'll be released at this year), Hashihime was at 56% edited, Sona-Nyl was at 27% translated, Fata Morgana fandisc was at 66% edited, Rance Quest was at 69% translated (Coincidence?), Sengoku Rance was at 79% translated and halfway edited, Trinoline was at 70% translated and 27% edited, and Maggot Bait was at 70% translated along with 13% edited.
There's also another update in regard of Suki Suki, although it's not official from Mangagaamer though but rather it came from the fan who asked some info about that. The update goes like Mangagamer said that they working on solving the issue in regard of Chuuablesoft bankruptcy. So it's finally confirmed that the delay was indeed in regard of Chuuablesoft bankruptcy, because Mangagamer would need to do another negotiation with whoever have the right for Chuuablesoft property if they goes bankrupt. To tell the truth, I already slightly suspect that along the line since back at August but I tried to ignore it because it might be the engine problem that caused the delay. But if Mangagamer already confirm that they have the problem with the bankruptcy, there's no other choice other than accept the truth here.
Fan Translation
There's a good news from Eustia, in which Fione's arc was already fully translated - for overall progress it was at 32.83% translated and with 21.02% edited. For Loverable, congratulation for finally have Kaho's route fully translated and in turn all of Loverable, while for the rest of the progress it was 71.26% TLC-ed and 30.9% edited. For Majokoi, right now it was at three quarter TLC-ed. As for Musumaker, right now it was at 47.4% translated. While for Pure Pure, right now Chapter 4 was at 6.34% translated and overall was at 54.77% translated. This week we also finally have Nocturnal Illusion progress after a while, with the progress was at 45% edited right now. For the last update from fan translation, we have Tsujidou update with Renna's route was at 30.85% translated and overall was at 84.06% translated.
As for Venus Blood Chimera, after we have regular updates and partial release from them finally we have completed translation released back at last week. As for the VN, it was some sort of gameplay VN in which we'll gonna have the girls get tentacle rape or something like that, and it also have the medieval setting like usual RPG. For more info, unfortunately as of now it was pretty much quite lacking especially in regard of the reviews, so I couldn't say much in regard of the gameplay. Although looking from VNDB average score, perhaps this would be just a mediocre VN. There's also an unpolished patch for Princess Maker 5 at TL Wiki, which could be interesting if you're into Princess Maker. Not that I interested with this though, although too bad though it's not the fourth Princess Maker that was translated, because it have Nana Mizuki as seiyuu and personally I hope to see her more in translated VN.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/06/2020)
Since we have Ryuusei being released back at last week along with that it share the same writer as Akagoei, I decided to just replace the 'Guard' in the English translation of Akagoei full title (Guard of Daybreak) into 'Police' so we have Police of Daybreak as this week VNTS Review, and the reason for the 'Police' word here is because we have Ryuusei's MC Ruka work as the police albeit a lazy one. As for this week, other than Ryuusei sudden release we also have Fruitbat and Aksys announce their new VNs. For the VNs itself, Fruitbat is announced a mystery VN while for Aksys obviously they have otome console VNs. Overall what I can say in regard of this week it would be a bit interesting thanks to some new announcements along with usual fan translation updates, although I can't say that I find the new VNs announcements are interesting to me though. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well.
As for Ryuusei, it's not surprising that ShiraVN is the one who release it because they've been talked about on how Steam did disapprove it (I don't really know on why they insist to ban it). The premise goes like we have our MC Ruka who is a policeman with superpower, although he's quite lazy though in that he prefer to not work seriously unless the situation force him so much that he's been infamous because of that and many other people would obviously called him on that. For Kinugasa's writing, while I did say that he's incapable to finish his story properly (Or like to write open ending to put it nicely) actually he can write some entertaining character interaction as shown with Ruka and other people interaction. By the way even with the knowledge that apparently there'll be two more parts here, I won't exactly expect the writer to end it properly even at the presumably last part if we look at the last entry of Akagoei in that he's still like to write the open ending. That said as long as you know that the ending is an open one and you're okay with the saying the journey is what count the most along with want to see some entertaining character interaction, go get Ryuusei and have fun.
Before going to the otome VNs that Aksys announced, we have Verdelish did translated 4% of Slow Damage. Speaking about that, I did forget to mention that JAST will release the translated version of it after several months of Japanese release, which mean it would be after February because the Japanese version of Slow Damage will be released at February 25th later. I don't know though if JAST will really manage to do it or not, although perhaps looking on their recent track record I should expect that they may manage to deliver it in reasonable time (Not that I look forward to it anyway).
For Aksys otome VN, we have three of it. The first one is Variable Barricade, in that apparently it's about a wealthy girl who didn't like her grandpa suddenly need to deal with five groom candidates that were sent by her grandfather. The second one is Olympia Soiree, in that we have a setting when the color are more important than life and currently the only one who represent the white color (A rare color) is the female MC so she need to marry one of six heroes in order to get a new successor of white color. The last one is Ayakashimori in that the female MC will try her best to become one of Ayakashimori member, and as for Ayakashimori itself it's a special bureau that deal with youkai. All three VNs will be available for Switch at 2021 later, so at least it should be a good news for otome VN fans. From Fruitbat we have MAMIYA in that it's been translated by the late Conjueror. What I can see is that apparently it's a mystery VN that deal with murder and all, and it's pretty obvious that it'll be all age. Fruitbat will release it at Spring 2021 later, so you may note the release estimation if you interested with it.
For fan translation, we have Eustia was at 58.04% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 32.25% TLC-ed, Chaos Head Noah common route was at 14.75% translated (Note that Noah's common route consist two thirds of the whole VN), Loverable was at 92.83% edited, Pure x Connect translation team will start their work on Arisa's route and that they show some progress on editing (Currently 9,475 lines were edited), both common and Reika's routes for Akagoei were finished the translation work, and Harugi was at 73% translated with Yuuna's route was past three quarter (76%) translated along with Misaki's route was at 18% translated. That's all for fan translation here.
That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.
